She’s spoken out about harassment towards other players quickly after incidents(which is what everyone wanted her to do).

She finally gave a direct answer to a question that wasn’t asked vaguely. If u ask anyone a vague question the immediate idea is to give a vague answer. A black reporter finally asked her directly and she gave a better response. No more dancing around the idea and using dumb wording to get simple answers.

She also clearly has no beef with anyone so her family liking stuff is there own issue

okay, i am going to point multiple things

1. of the incidents we are talking about, caitlin has been asked multiple times and either said she ignores them or simply doesn’t see them. this latest answer from her came weeks after the "first" complaint when she and the fever played the sun. if we want to also discuss the hate chennedy got, it has been essentially two weeks. considering she constantly has press conference and interviews, she has had 13-14 days to reply to MULTIPLE incidents where her fans have attacked black women. compare that time frame, to the time frame where she defended angel last year. she did so directly after the game, and the days after, as far as i know. and she also waited to say something until another w player called her out indirectly. that is not at all quickly.

02. caitlin blatantly said she "ignores" those topics, which, in case you didn’t know, is VERY problematic. by ignoring it, she essentially is making the problem appear like it is not a problem, when it very much is.

03. . . . if you genuinely believe that no one in the w feels a certain way about caitlin not speaking up, do me a favor and look up dijonai carrington's tweet about the situation. and remember this - dijonai is as far as we know in a romantic relationship with nalyssa smith, one of caitlin’s literal teammates. that is an incredibly naïve take.

HAH! Aced the math portion of my exam! Messed up once, because I mixed up how many feet were in a mile. (I put in the amount of square feet in an acre instead. -_- In my defense however, that was memory error and not actual math.) It was all fairly easy math, but as someone who literally sobbed her heart out over percentages in high-school and had to pay the entirety of her month's salary for a math tutor, I feel accomplished.

To your point about HOTD fics and being motivated by spite. I feel like something must be getting lost in translation in that writer's room, there's too many cooks in the kitchen, or they're seriously not treating GRRM as a major consultant. Like, I'm not even mad anymore, I'm just baffled at how some of the fanfiction I've read that covers the DOTD succeeds at conveying the message without straying away from it like the show.

I really think them filming so much of the show during the WGA strike last year absolutely screwed them. From what I remember, I think the entirety of the season was filmed during the strike, so the entire filming process had absolutely no input from the writers given the parameters of the strike at all, and I think that really screwed with the coherency of the writing since things couldn't be adjusted or evolved the way they generally are in television productions. Along with the fact that this show definitely has too big of a writer's room and has ever since season 1 (which I complained about before in terms of how disjointed some of season 1's writing one), and I think Ryan and Sara just not having very good instincts a lot of the time, it just seems like it was a recipe for disaster. Because literally everything I've seen out of HOTD except for, like, a couple things is just so bafflingly odd to me, it really feels like a nosedive in quality.
