I KNOW I CANNOT SEE LUKE IN LOVE WITH ANYONE ELSE EITHER... but tHINK about the potential this relationship has... the two of them as nsb partners, working together in the field, fist bumps and drinking alone together, watching luke's back while he's doing the sniping, the fact that in this relationship they're BOTH EQUALS and i can just... sidestep all that luke stop being a self sacrificing git 😭😭😭 i sound so deranged - 🌃

but yes YESSSS ohh my gosh, okay, like i absolutely understood this nsb oc for being in love with luke (duh, luke is awesome) but HRGH how you describe their dynamic im REALLY SOFT ABOUT THEM NOW?? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME???? if youre deranged you just very quickly made ME deranged along with you...clever move, NightStar, clever move.

man man mannnn im thinking about this nsb oc now like, youre RIGHT, theyre both equals, luke doesnt have the self sacrificing guilt with this person because his instinct to put himself lower just isnt switched on. not because luke doesnt care about this person---he does, he cares so much about everybody, is my interpretation of luke---but because luke hasnt given his heart to them.

hell, now im thinking like...luke gets ambushed and nsb oc manages to save him and luke is so grateful, so sincere.

"thank you," luke says. on the job, luke always keeps his feelings tucked away so he can focus on being the weapon the nsb needs him to be. but right now, if only for a split second, there's sincerity. a reminder that luke isn't just nsb's best weapon, but a young agent not yet completely hardened into hopelessness by the job. a reminder that luke is good and kindhearted and---

in nsb oc's chest, the beginning of a feeling. the beginning of something that will bring them so much pain in the future.

"don't mention it," they say, ignoring whatever the hell the pounding in their chest is doing. "but get your act together, raven. i can't carry you the entire time, can i? wouldnt be good for your top agent reputation."

luke rolls his eyes fondly. "yeah, yeah. let's go."

so they both go. they both finish the job. but it's luke who goes home with his heart in tact.

it's nsb oc who goes home realizing that in that the moment luke said thank you---

---they had just left a sliver of their own heart inside luke's.

pls disregard my ramble scene, my point here is that your concept is amazing and if you do choose to write this i am 1) in awe because this concept is gonna be hard but i believe in you, and 2) so VERY excited to see the direction you'll take with the nsb oc!!!

(also, wait, last point, can i just say that like, who wouldnt fall in love with luke pearce after watching him snipe? nsb oc u r SO VALID)
