Ngl the profile for Veronika was kinda hard to follow since it doesn’t say her name on the graphic so it leaves you questioning who Yoona is until you see that she now goes by Veronika?
not me curious as to which graphic until i realised that i've placed the post on queue and just forgot it posted 💀 but to answer your question, i kinda did that on purpose. yoona thinks of herself as a different person than veronika, as veronika is her persona, and the way that i wanted to plan this all is to make it seem like that post was a story about a totally different person. imagine you play a game where person one is telling a story about a person two, only to reveal they're the same person in the end.
this is a little spoiler ig??? but i do think that netizens have heard yoona's story on a random forum that was released years ago, but the post never mentioned a name, so they definitely know someone's life was this way, they just don't know who ( yet ).
that is kind of why i made the graphic say one thing / person while the actual post mentions another thing / person. hopefully this cleared out some things?

i know ch3 probably won't ever put them in a bl series ever again but WHAT IF... LIKE... if i had a coin for every actors who did the 'tee bundit directed bl series -> ch3 lakorn' pipeline, i'd have two which isn't much but it's crazy they're in ch3 most high budgeted series right now playing cousins

Look. From someone who's an old soul in terms of social media, just... don't leave your platform. Don't leave your home. I know the landlord sucks, but that's every home you're going to find. Until the whole framework around hosting social media sites changes, everywhere will have these same problems with only the tiniest of variations in how they play out. What they won't have, is your current community. Your contacts. The friends you made. The culture you helped shape and grow through participation. You can go somewhere else. Maybe a part, some fraction of your contacts will go there too, and you won't be starting completely from scratch. Except you will, even if you're not alone in it. Every platform has a built in structure that shapes the kind of interactions possible on it. That influences and shapes how people relate to, and interact with, each other. That largely determines which kind of culture develops and thrives on it. And, in significant ways, your current culture will not carry over, because the different structure will not support it. Every time we are driven to emigrate, and try to establish ourselves in a new place, we are fractured and weakened, and another online culture gets watered down or straight up withers and dies.
Don't leave. Stay

super duper agree with most of this but im going to misconstrue the point of the post to nitpick. “i dont know a single country” china. china does this. did you forget to include tiktoks country of origin in your blanket generalization. chinese people censor swears on douyin and they even censor clothed nipples sometimes.
but they DO swear, and joke. “lowbrow” american culture is rife with swears (king kunta kendrick lamar for instance, is a celebration of black american history AND features a well timed “bitch” in its chorus off the top of my head). thats case in point, that conflating culture with its authoritarian regime is folly at best and strengthening their authority at worst.
You know what really fucking Annoys Me about internet censorship is stuff like swear words being heavily censored because that's entirely an American cultural hangup being forced on the rest of us. I don't know a single country where swearing is as taboo as it is in America. In fact most languages have swear words that would have the same effect on an American as giving a Victorian chimney sweep a pepsi max cherry.

Another interesting fact: the Oroqen people are known for their brave resistance to the Japanese invasion of Northeast China during WWII. During Japanese occupation, they were placed under ethnic segregation by the Manchukuo puppet state. Their entire ethnicity was almost completely wiped out by Imperial Japan due to the horrific policies that were imposed on them as well as war casualties. Plus, their population was already very low from previous conflicts. When the PRC was created in 1949, the population of the Oroqen people was only around 1000. By 2010, it was around 8600.
A look at some traditional 鄂伦春/Oroqen clothing.
The Oroqen people are one of 56 official ethnic groups in China.
