Biography: Thanatos and his sister were born about a century after the Great Celestial War. Their mother was a human and a descendant of Lilith, while their father, unknown to them, was an angel. When they were about 20, a large wave of Nephilim and angels were drafted from Earth and taken to the Celestial Realm. When he and Nyx got to the Celestial Realm, they learned that for the past century, angels had been falling, and there is unease between Heaven and Hell. Each realm was secretly building up their armies in case of a possible attack. God had the angels put the Nephilim through a series of trials and training; those who pushed through and passed the tests were turned into angels. Those who couldn’t push through the tests were cast out of Heaven. Of those who were cast out, only the strongest survived the fall, by turning into demons themselves. When Thanatos fell, he was first discovered by Lucifer. Lucifer took an interest in Thanatos’s rage and indignity, and took him to Lord Diavolo. Diavolo named Thanatos a Vice of Pride, and after watching him for several months, placed him in his guards. Over time Thanatos climbed up the ranks until he was Diavolo’s personal guard. All while he was planning on getting revenge on God and saving his sister. Later, he was sent to the Human World on a scouting mission to see what state the world was in, in hopes of preparing to move forward with Lord Diavolo’s exchange program. It was then he found that centuries had passed, and the Human World had entered the Modern Era. He was completely out of place, and was starting to make a fool of himself. That was when he ran into Solomon the Wise, who in return for catching Thanatos up to speed and being his “Human Guide”, made a pact with Thanatos. This was Thanatos’s first and only pact.
