so. I've just finished the last trial and just. I don't even know what to think of it yet, part of me loves the ambiguous ending but at the same time I want to know what happened (will dr2 address that even?? my fear for spoilers is just too big)
but also like. the artworks?????? the promo arts, character details and all... ended up spending all my coins on it
I liked all of them, but specially 'Here Comes Junko!' and 'Preview Image 1', would definitely buy posters of these
actually that's not true, the Junko character arts (genuine and Mukuro) made me very very very uncomfortable
anyways, sorry for venting to you like that, came to ask your thoughts on the dr1 ending :))
No spoilers. Play DR2. It is.... Let's be honest, I like DR2 significantly more than I like DR1. Also you get to meet my precious child Mikan Tsumiki the most precious child in the series so far who deserves nothing more than a warm blanket and a mug of hot chocolate and good pats on the head.
I had so many coins throughout the game because I kept going back to finish all the FTEs (for the dead characters) between chapters and then had to do the Class Trials again to get back into the chapter I was at but a lot of my coins went to the MonoMono Machine because I was pretending to be a completionist and wanted all of the Gatcha toys. >.>;;;;;
(wait why do the junko and mukuro stuff make you uncomfortable though)
Okay, so like. my concept of the ending was a lot of hype for Junko and then meeting Junko and then feeling like she was overhyped. I think this is a place where the game did better than the anime; at least, I liked how she was done better in the game.
But, and this is important to me, Makoto asked her to leave with them. Like. Here is the mastermind. Who did all of the horrible things to them. Who has said that she caused the most horrible most tragic most despair-inducing event in the history of the world (I probably do not have those descriptors 100% accurate, don't judge me DR fans). And Makoto just. Hey, you want to get out of here with us? Be my new bestie?
M A K O T O. C'MON. Byakuya's going to kill her if she doesn't punish herself what are you thinking. Honestly.
I'm a huge fan of ambiguous endings, though. Particularly in this case. The story isn't about what's waiting for them outside; it's about them surviving. And they survived! ...some of them, at least!
(And so did Monokuma! Apparently! XD)
but also who is your favorite character so far this is the real important question here
OH AND ALSO ALSO if you want additional etc. (I probably won't all the light novels and expanded manga and whatever but I do recommend this one, even if I don't think the writing is great) - I would suggest reading a fan translation of DR0 before playing DR2. It's a prequel! About Ryoko Otonashi! Who has amnesia! And also Junko keeps showing up for some reason and also people keep dying. Around Ryoko. Who insists that this has absolutely nothing to do with her at all absolutely nothing she's absolutely sure of it. (I think this is the fan translation I read.)
Think of it as Dory (from Finding Nemo) is stuck in Danganronpa. Dory who has a notebook where she can write things down so she can remember them later. So Dory but also that guy from Memento. But like. Dory.
(Ryoko is sweet and also deserves better in the same way that everyone in this series deserves better.)

let's have fun!! rules & quick faq under cut
blog explanation & rules
i'll be drawing the drdt characters in my fuit gumy style (example above, and also it needs to be spelt exactly that way). ideally i post one thing a day, but real life circumstances might help or hinder me
requests are currently open. i can't promise that i'll get to every request and i don't know if i can answer every ask/question, but i'll try my best!
i do not Bite but please be nice to me!! i am just a 1) gremlin 2) a Student who needs stability and routine
i can draw headcanons, aus, and such, but i'll be adhering to canon most of the time. also, i love weird combos too if you can find an explanation for them interacting whether platonically, romantically, or a secret third thing
if a request has multiple characters, please specify if you mean it romantically or not, so romantic interactions can be given ship tags as well. if it isn't specified in the request, i'll interpret it as platonic by default (i'm pretty dense and have trouble interpreting interactions sometimes)
crossovers/referring to other series can be requested, but are very unlikely to be actually drawn. for me to finish them, i'd need to know the other series. However, if your request happens to be something along the lines of "[insert fuit gumy here] with [pokemon / digimon of choice]", I will absolutely not complain. I would be honored!!
i will not be accepting requests that involve canon danganronpas AND fanganronpas. this blog has always meant to be focused on drdt first and foremost, and i'm content to let it stay that way (for now). although characters from other fanganronpas may Very Rarely appear in Original Situations!
(re: full explanation for the above two rules)
i won't draw, read any of these asks, or interact with certain blogs if they contain: nsfw (out of personal comfort!), hate speech (what are you doing here), incest/pedophilia/bestiality
("proship" was originally on the above point, but i have since realized that i've misunderstood the definition of the term to mean "problematic content" in general. i apologize for my mistake, and have elaborated on what specifically i'd like to avoid! people can ship whatever they like; just ignore it if you don't like it. although the worst i'll do with this blog is still cartoonish depictions of violence, i thought it's better to explain while i can, even if it seems unnecessary)
this blog is NOT spoiler free! most of my art here is 99% going to be unserious shitposts anyways, but this is here just in case. also since drdt is 16+ this blog is 16+ too
any of my art posted in this blog can be used for personal use with credit (icons, headers, wallpapers, discord emotes for private servers and any other social media that lets you do that kinda stuff), but (for now) please don't repost in other social media (you can just share links if you'd like!)
this is a recent discovery but I can't reply to replies for some reason. if it doesn't require immediate attention, i'll reply to any questions in one big post tagged "answering asks"
quick faq before anyone asks
call me gremlyn (18+)! you can find me on @thatseitagremlin (drdt sideblog) / @iamjustagremlin (limbus main)
for this blog i draw with miro . com by default so i can restrict myself to a limited brush and color palette. this helps my brain not get distracted when drawing. depending on what tomfoolery i come up with or what requests i get i might use other apps though!
whit is the posterboy for this blog because he's my favorite character. my blorbo, if you will. my other faves are j, nico, and xander (i feel a Lot of cuteness aggression with xander specifically) if you're curious
i'm an omnivore and am fine with most ships but if i had to pick a ship to fight for it'd probably be charwhit or areiden. i also like jarei but i'm not sure if i prefer it platonically, romantically, or a secret third thing, and i'm not bothered enough to find out soon
also, do you guys know how to run an ask blog. because i don't. but once again, let's be nice and have fun!!

Hold it!
Welcome to my blog! Please read this get to know me before continuing.
I'm Parker (the artist formally known as Cody and/or Katie), I'm 27, and pronoun neutral. (She/he/they- it is all okay! Gender is like religion to me, I recognize that it can mean a lot to someone and give them some sort of comfort and meaning, but personally I am not in a place where I'm one of those people, and I'll respect your view as long as you respect mine.) By day, I’m a mild-mannered by a little but eccentric dirty soda shop employee, and by night, I’m a mild mannered but little bit eccentric dirty soda shop employee… sleeping. I’m also autistic but I’m also a silly goose, so if something seems odd, it might be because something isn’t clicking or it also might be because I’m doing a bit. I also have dyscalculia (which is a lot like dyslexia but for math) and often joke that I never learned how to count. I change my profile picture like once a week for no real reason other than I'm vibing with a different character now.
I grew up on the puzzle games of the early aughts but sort of fell out of love with them somewhere in the last 10 years and have only been getting back into it over the past few years. I have played the original Ace Attorney trilogy, both Great Ace Attorney Chronicles games, both Ace Attorney Investigations games, the “Apollo Justice trilogy” (derogatory), Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, both Layton trilogies, Layton Brothers Mystery Room, Layton’s Mystery Journey, OneShot, Trace Memory, Another Code: Two Memories, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, and Hotel Dusk: Room 215. I am currently playing Another Code: Recollection and Last Window: The Secrets of Cape West. I plan to play Death Trick: Double Blind, Danganronpa, and AI: The Somnium Files. I try to be mindful of tagging spoilers appropriately, but proceed with caution regardless. I also queue my posts way in advance but then shuffle it regularly so what I’m playing may get posts immediately or may not get any for three months.
Also, Donkey Kong is my mortal enemy. He is my death and I am his. We are connected by the opposite of the red invisible string of fate. We are destined to destroy each other time and time again until we go over the Reichenbach Falls together.
Most of my fandom contributions are shitposts, but sometimes I'll also make graphic edits (most commonly text post memes) or video edits. Sometimes I also will cross post a piece of fanfiction from Ao3 (which is the same username as here). My tag for these is look what I made. For the most part this blog just is original posts because I don’t follow any other fandom blogs. For a long time this blog was just Ace Attorney, but now it’s just my general video game blog.
My personal favorite characters are Miles, Kay, Susato, Ema, Katrielle, Ashley Mizuki Robbins, and Kyle Hyde. I ship Wrightworth and Miego but I'm not, like, horny about it, and don't really give a shit about shipping discourse. Ship if you want, don't ship if you don't want, I don't really care. Even if I don't agree with your ships, I'm not here to start a fight.
My only real other passions are musical theatre, public libraries, Taylor Swift, and The Mountain Goats but I'll only post about them if it's also somehow crossing over to puzzle games. I also love a good farming simulator, such as Story of Seasons, my favorite being A Wonderful Life.
My ask box and submissions are both open, and you can always DM me. It doesn't matter if we've never spoken before, you can start a conversation with me for anything from homework help to "phantom of the opera aa au" and my response will always be trying to help (I'm better at language arts but I'll do my best with STEM) or "are we going with original POTO or LND and is godot the phantom”. I will only ignore you if you're making me uncomfortable, and even then, I'll probably tell you that due to the inappropriate nature the conversation has taken, I'm terminating it. My queue tag is 'queue takumi defense squad'.
That's all I can think of for now. If you've actually read this far, thank you and welcome to my blog!

My AU Masterpost
This is now updated! Hope you guys like it! All the tags for these aus are below!
There’s More Magic Out There(or just Other Magic)- An au where magic other than the miraculouses exist. All of the main characters besides Adrien, Marinette, and Gabriel are magic of some kind, and the focus is on the background characters slipping by through the cracks of mundane human life and their true selves. You can read it on ao3.
Panthera Noire- a Kwami swap where Juleka gets the cat instead and becomes a flirtatious lady killer while trying to solve all of her friend’s problems. You can read it on ao3.
Other Magic: Paladin Rose: an au of the au- where Rose is a paladin. It’s got a fully finished story under the tag ‘Paladin Rose au’ here on tumblr, and the story in general was given to me by one of my commenters on the main Other Magic Fic. It’s amazing go check it out. You can read it here on tumblr
Pirate Queen: A fantasy pirate au where Marinette has become wanted by the Kingdom of Agreste for stealing the Ladybug earrings and has become the newest member of The Liberty, which is captained by the Pirate Queen, Juleka Couffaine. You can read this on ao3
The Monarchs Court- Inspired by Cornerverse’s Monarch fic where Chloe grabs Hawkmoth’s miraculous during Love Eater before he could try and akumatize her, however this goes differently than Corner’s happy ending. It’s a dark and pain filled story as Chloe falls from grace and sanity for the sake of Paris and for the goal to stick Gabriel Agreste’s head on a stake. She’s broken but driven. You can read it on my ao3
Queen of Queers: This is an au made of two fics, one is finished and the other is still in progress. Chloe’s an aggressive but supportive lgbtq ally that accidentally becomes the big sister of the class. Class sugar, and Lila redemption. Slow burn mutual pining Chlolix. Some angst. Chloe Knows All and Sunny Daze is the two fics to read for this author it’s on ao3.
Mafia Au: An au with multiple stories set in the same dystopian futuristic city. Kagami is protecting Marinette from multiple different mafias and criminal syndicates, Adrien learns the secrets to his father’s company with the mysterious voice in his head, Chloe helps Sabrina find her humanity again, and Kim tries to find the secrets of his forgotten past.
Juleka Works At Denny’s: crack au where it’s just Juleka working as an employee at Denny’s
Chloe Couffaine: Au where Chloe was adopted as a Couffaine at a young age and became a very protective punk old sister.
Anarchy’s Maidens: Crack au where Anarka, Penny, Nathalie, and Caline we’re part of a band back in high school-university but broke off due to their jobs and future careers.
The Phantom Hive- Chloenette Persona Fic where Chloe becomes a persona user and wrecks all of the corrupted individuals in Paris along with fixing her relationships with people and having a gay panic attack every five seconds and being dead inside. It’s on ao3.
Couffaines Adopt Rich Kids- Juleka goes with her ‘Kidnap Kagami’ plan and steals Kagami. They basically adopt her— and they continue to adopt more, leading to Chloe and Lila redemption. Absolute Feral Bastard Energy everywhere, along with found family and stupid chaotic shenanigans. You can read this on ao3.
Marikuma- An akumanette au where Marinette turns into a danganronpa  themed akuma and puts the class (plus Luka and Kagami) into a killing game. It’s Alya centric, and while I’m writing a post about that, however people want to write the trials is completely up to them. Very flexible.
Mari on Ice- Yuri on Ice AU with Kagami and Marinette as Viktor and Yuri and Chloe and Alix as Yurio and Otabek
Demon Alya- Playing off of the joke that salt fix writers literally make her a demon, this is a very Alya Sugar au. Alya is a demon from hell, who needs to pay off her monthly soul quota, but accidentally learns humanity along the way when she becomes besties with the purest and kindest girl she’s ever met, Marinette. Rose is also an angel who’s trying to keep Alya from damning anyone to hell, but thanks to friendship, that’ll never happen anyways. Juleka is a paladin warlock multi class because of this.
Ml Rwby- They’re all in the world of remnant. Marinette is the team leader of ‘MAACL’ (”Miracle”) and the rest of the class is there too. They fight against the forces of evil, but for now, their biggest threat to their lives is high school. You can read it on ao3

DANGANRONPA AUTUMN WEEK 2020
Oct 13th, Day 3: Cold Hands and Autumn
Souda x Sonia
Happy Birthday Sonia!
----------------------------
Just like every Saturday, Hajime, Komaeda, Souda, and Fuyuhiko were passing time hanging out in different places of their city. They enjoyed finding new cool places, exploring, and inevitably getting into trouble. This time, Komaeda had suggested they visit a shopping center up north of the city where more affluent people resided.
"I don't know man. I think we're going to stick out like a sore thumb." Hajime admitted with an unsure tone as he turned on his blinker and pulled into the parking lot.
"I don't know what you're talking about Hajime. Look at me. I have wealth and I don't look like anyone here." Komaeda, who sat in the back with Souda, smiled, eyes wide as he took in the architecture of each building. The windows to the shops had mannequins in designer clothing and beautiful fairy lights to catch attention.
"Yeah no shit. You'd look like this if you were dirt poor like us." Hiko looked back from the passenger seat and shot him a look.
"Aha! You're right. I just want to be comfortable. I'd look like trash no matter what I wore."
Even though the others were slightly annoyed at the place of hang out, it was Souda who looked the most uncomfortable. Places like this were only in his dreams. He had never even come close to wealth like this before he had met Komaeda. He kept his mouth shut and unbuckled as soon as Hajime found a parking spot. He was glad that everyone would take his scared look to be discomfort from driving because of his motion sickness. He started fiddling with his bare hands to keep them warm in the cold from outside.
"I swear if they think we are stealing just because of how we look I'm going to make sure they catch these fucking hands." Hiko slammed the door and shoved his hands in his pocket.
"Ah they won't. They'd probably be too scared to even talk to us!"
Hajime nudged Komaeda. "That's not at all reassuring. Now come on let's go."
The shopping center had textured light poles that lined the sidewalk with signs of the district on each of them that also displayed other events going on. In the middle of the shops were a couple of tents that had large bulbs for lighting inside and out.
"Let's go in here. It seems a bit more modern? Maybe we can find some cool stuff in here." Komaeda held the door open for the rest of the boys and then followed them in after.
Inside they noticed many different perfume smells and pop music playing over the speakers. On the left side of the store featured more masculine clothing while the right had feminine. Accessories like jewelry, scarves, and shoes were in the middle.
The boys spent a few minutes just going through the racks and looking. Hajime had to keep slapping Komaeda's hands because he kept touching everything. Hiko kept his same grimace with his hands in his pockets.
Souda shifted uncomfortably and occasionally checked a price tag. He didnt know why he kept checking. They just made him feel worse and worse each time. "Hey guys, I think I'm gunna go and uh, check out some of the shoes."
"Yeah you need more. If you get any more holes in your heels I'm going to glue a flip flop on the bottom." Hiko shot at him.
"Hey!" Souda became defensive. So what if he was right. It doesn't give him the right. "They get well loved okay?" He huffed and walked away from the group towards the middle of the store. He tried his hardest to drown out the music and chattering of customers but it was becoming difficult.
He reached out and grabbed a pair of bright neon and pink sneakers and eyed them over. These looked like they would feel so much better than basically walking barefoot.
"Souda!" A light, familiar voice called out.
"M-miss Sonia?" His head jerked up and towards the girl that appeared out of nowhere.
"I did not expect to see you here today." She smiled. A genuine smile that squinted her eyes and warmed Souda's chest.
"Oh! Ah well. The guys are here and were just. You know. Hanging out." He put an arm behind his head nervously. "What about you? Are you here with anyone?"
She pulled her clutch purse up to her chest and shook her head. "Oh! No! I am here alone. I like to try and get Christmas shopping done a bit early to beat out the crowds."
"You're so generous Miss Sonia."
She blushed lightly. "Thank you. Oh! Those shoes would be perfect for you!"
He looked down at his other hand that still held the sneakers. "I! Oh! Yeah haha." He laughed nervously and shoved them back. "I was just looking around and stuff. Nothing major."
"Oh alright. Well I should let you get back to your boys! I look forward to seeing you back at school."
"Of course! Yeah I'll see you at school miss sonia!" He turned around and immediately began to chastise himself for his excited tone. She looked forward to seeing him!
He didn't have to walk too far before he almost ran into the other three boys.
"So are you going to go and keep her company?" Hajime broke the silence.
"Guys no. She's got business to take care of."
"Yeah, alone. No one wants that shit." Maybe Hiko was right. He wouldn't want to be alone.
"Souda. You should go and at least ask. What's the worst she can say? No?" Komaeda questioned.
"Yeah and then my dignity is lessened." He sighed, frustrated.
"Just do it asshole before I invite you with her myself."
Souda put his arms out to stop Hiko. "No no no! Fine. I'll do it. Okay? Just. I wanna leave after this and go to a different store okay?" He cautiously walked back over to the shoes but did not see her. Shit. He looked around nervous before seeing her checking out towards the front.
"Miss Sonia!"
This time it was her turn to be surprised. "Oh hello again Souda!" She switched the bags in her hands to be more comfortable. "I thought you had to go back and be with the boys?"
"Well. I just, uhm." He took a moment to muster a fake confidence. "I just wondered if you'd like to have some company while you shopped. A princess shouldn't be alone."
Sonia was shocked at the offer. "You know, I think I would really enjoy that actually."
Souda's brain did a double take. "Wait really?"
"Yes! I think it would be quite fun."
Souda turned back around and saw the boys suspiciously, and badly, hiding behind some racks watching. Of course they were spying. "Alright uhm. Why don't you lead the way Miss Sonia."
As soon as they walked out, the boys high fived themselves. Souda would just wait for a call from Hajime when they were done.
Souda and Sonia walked down a couple of shops before going into a candle store that did not have many people in it. They sniffed many different scents and giggled as they tried to see if the scents matched the names. They had not had interactions like this before.
They continued on like that for a few more stores and each time they went out into the cold, Souda would flex out his fingers and rub his hands together. He tried to be discreet about it, but as the sun lowered, so did the temperature.
"Souda? Are you cold?"
"What? Oh. I mean it is pretty cold out here."
Sonia tilted her head to the side and thought for a moment. "Give me your hands." She pushed her bags into her elbows and held out her palms.
Souda blushed brightly but complied. How could he not obey a princess? As soon as his hands touched her warm ones, he almost sighed. They felt amazing.
"Your hands are freezing! Did you not dress properly to be out here?"
"No. I guess I wasn't thinking." He laughed nervously through his lie.
"Allow me to warm them for you then." She adjusted his hands in hers to provide as much warmth as she could.
"Thank you Miss Sonia. I really do appreciate it."
They stayed like that for a moment, just so they could take in each other. Not too far from them, a small clock chimed signaling another hour had passed.
"Thank you for providing me with company this evening."
"For sure! It's my pleasure!"
She squeezed his hands and smiled.
The atmosphere broke as Souda's phone began to ring in his pocket. He quickly drew his hands back and pulled it out to see Hajime calling.
"Hey dude are you ready? Komaeda got hungry and you know we have to follow what he wants or we are all fucked. He says he will buy us all lunch."
"Uh yeah that sounds great!"
Sonia set her bags down on the bench next to them.
"Alright just come back to the car. We will be waiting."
Souda sighed and put his phone back into his pocket. "I gotta go for real this time. Sorry about that."
"No trouble at all! I understand. I must get back as well. I do not want anyone getting too worried."
Souda nodded and looked down at his feet.
In a split decision, Sonia wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.
He couldn't help the small noise of surprise that escaped when he felt her arms. It took him a moment but he finally hugged her back.
"See you at school. For real this time! Make sure you get some gloves soon alright?" She repeated the words he previously stated and grabbed all her bags but one and started to walk off.
He watched her walk off, but not in any lewd sense. He simply needed a moment to process that she had actually spent some time with him. He finally pulled his eyes away to notice a bag that had been left.
"Miss Sonia!" He shouted. "You forgot a bag!"
She turned around with a bounce and laughed while shouting back. "No I didn't!"
Confused, Souda grabbed the sack and carefully looked inside of it. His eyes widened as he saw a shoe box. There's no way she would have done that for him, would she?
His question was answered as he lifted the box and saw the brightly colored sneakers that brought them together staring back at him.

V3 Boys Doing Kabedon On S/O
“Hello, welcome there ! Can i request danganronpa v3 boys doing kabedon on their S/O please ? >.< Merci ~ “
I haven’t even thought about kabedon in ages! This is such a cute idea, I’m in love! Story under the tag~
P.S: In case you don’t know what kabedon is, here is a definition: ‘Kabedon is a very popular means of expressing romantic love or adoration. It is done by a man hitting his hand on a wall, pinning the woman in the process.’
Shuichi Saihara
We all know Shuichi is shy when it comes to romance
He would glow red just as you holding his hand in public
Which is why you two would only cuddle in private, as he was worried about being teased
But today he was stressed
He had spent a week straight trying to find the mastermind, with nothing to show for it
That also meant a week of not seeing you as much as he liked, and he was craving from attention
He walked into your dorm without asking, knowing that you were there, probably sitting at a desk reading or drawing
“Shuichi!” You stood up from your desk, walking towards him. “What are you doing here?”
As you approached your boyfriend you saw the serious expression on his face, causing you to slow down
“Shuichi, are you okay? Have you been sleepi-”
You were forcefully cut off by Shuichi taking a sudden step forward, lightly grabbing your shoulder and pushing you against the wall, slamming his hand into the wall near your head in the process
Looking up at Shuichi, your face reddened at the serious look he had painted on
His eyes were unreadable, only observing you
He collapsed into you, your back thudding lightly against the wall
“Shuichi...?”
You felt his arms wrap around your waist, tightening when he sensed that you were balanced
“I’m sorry Y/n, I really wanted to see you, but I am just so exhausted...”
Relaxing, you returned his hug, smiling softly into his chest
“It’s alright Shuichi, I just wish you hadn’t worked yourself so hard.”
Lightly pushing him back, you led the sluggish boy to the bed, laying him down before getting in yourself
Pulling the covered over the two of you, you silently giggled as Shuichi nuzzled into you, making you into a makeshift teddy bear
“Goodnight love.”
Kaito Momota
It had only been a week since you had gotten stuck in this killing game with all these other students, everyone was just starting to settle in to this new life
People were starting to find the people they could be friends with, while you were stuck with a die-hard crush
The ultimate astronaut, who had already been yelled at multiple times for getting in too many people’s personal spaces, had somehow swooped in and stolen your heart despite only speaking to you a handful of times
And he only really spoke to you if he needed a favor or to hide from someone, so you started to deny his requests, turning and walking away before he could see the faint red on your cheeks
You were walking through the main hall of the school when you were suddenly pushed into the wall, jumping at the thud of the handing hitting the wall next to your head
Looking up to see Kaito, you huffed and diverted your gaze, fiddling with the hem of your shirt as if to give your hands something to do
“What do you want, Kaito? I can’t hide you in my room anymore, Maki knows that’s where you go, and I’d like to not have a repeat of two days ago.”
“Aw, lighten up, Y/N! You know, it’s good to learn to always be on alert, so maybe having Maki break in was a good way to test you!”
“I needed a new door, Kaito.” You glared at him
“And I am sorry about that! But look, I’m here to ask something of you, this time with less fighting and more...talking!”
Talking?
“Spit it out, please.”
Kaito sighed, using his free hand to rub his neck
“Okay. Y/n, I know I am really not in the position to ask this, but, would you maybe wanna have a picnic sometime?”
As the words sunk in, your eyes widened, looking at the boy standing over you. A date? Date?!
Struggling to contain your excitement, you flashed a small smile before pushing his hand down, letting your linger on it just a second longer
“Sure, that sounds nice.”
Ryoma Hoshi
I am so sorry I can’t think of anything but Ryoma trying to do it and only reaching your legs I’m sorry if you really wanted Ryoma but I can’t stop laughing-
Rantaro Amami
You and Rantaro had been close since this whole thing started, you even saving him from Kaede’s trap to kill the mastermind
She apologized profusely of course
Today had been one of those days where there was nothing to do, no motives, no threats, just hanging out
You and Rantaro had been hanging out in the dining hall, eating a late lunch and generally just being bored
Searching for any form of entertainment, you noticed the bottle of soda Rantaro was drinking from and got an idea
Swiping it from his hand, you skipped away from the table
“Y/n, can I have that back?”
“Nope! You’ll hafta come get it!”
This resulted in the two of you fast-jogging around the dining room, him trying to retrieve his stolen drink
Well, you were sprinting, this boy has really long legs
After a couple laps around the room you began to get exhausted, and resorted to just huddling into a corner, back facing your boyfriend
You felt him approach your back, and stifled a giggle
“Y/n, can I have my drink back?” He was panting, as the run had also taken some effort on his part
You shook your head no, pulling the bottle closer to your stomach, away from his reach
He continued to ask, nudging your shoulder or placing a hand on your head, only earning a small laugh or a no as a response
You were suddenly flipped around, a hand forcefully pulling on your shoulder, forcing you to face him, another on the wall next to you
You made eye contact as he leaned down, face inches from yours
“Y/n, you are adorable...”
The hand on the wall dropped down to your chin, holding it in place
Rantaro began to lean in, eyes closing slowly, and yours doing the same
As you anticipated the next blissful moments, a strong pull ripped the bottle from your relaxed hand, your boyfriend suddenly backing off
He gave you a lopsided smirk before walking out of the dining hall, taking a small sip of his drink as if to show victory
“H-hey! This isn’t fair, you owe me a kiss!”
Gonta Gokuhara
Gonta is many things
He’s sweet, funny, smart, and gentle
But he doesn’t really know what personal space is, especially when he’s excited
You two had spent nearly the whole day in his lab, you letting him gush about his bugs and the ones he found particularly pretty
“Any that remind me of Y/n are the best!”
Gonta had been flipping through multiple books trying to find a picture of the butterfly that reminded him of you the most, and it was taking quite some time
You took this time to look at the butterflies pinned to the wall more closely, taking in each spot and groove on the wings.
“Y/n! I found it!”
You jumped at the sudden boom of voice, turning around just in time to be pushed against the wall, book in your face
“See! This one is amazing, pretty! Like you! Gonta apologize for how long it took to find...” He lowered the book, making you suddenly notice how close you two were to each other
Gonta seemed to notice too, as his cheeks turned red and he backed up slightly
“S-sorry! Gonta didn’t mean to hurt Y/n!”
You gave a breathy laugh, jumping up to give him a quick peck on the cheek
“It’s perfectly, fine, Gonta. I love you.”
Kokichi Oma
Let’s face it, Kokichi will pin anyone to anything if it gets a reaction out of them
He mostly does it to you, your blushy reaction always making him tease you even harder
So it wasn’t a huge surprise when he came rushing up behind you whilst on your way to the library
You let out a grunt as you were slammed into the wall, head hurting just a bit
“Y/n~! How’s my favorite little ultimate doing?”
Despite your desire to laugh in his face, you felt your face heating up, and only growing hotter as he leaned in closer
“Aw...whats the matter? Are you sick? Or are you deeply in love with someone?! Oh, let it be me, please!”
He leaned in further, noses touching. “Boop!”
Snapping out of it, you shoved him off, Kokichi casually pretending to be wounded like he always does, falling to the floor
“You’re no fun, Y/n!” His voice grew to a whisper as he clung to your leg. “What if I died?”
You shake your head and remove your leg from his grasp, walking away quickly
This boy will be the death of you, you swear.
Korekiyo Shinguji
...What was happening?
You had been walking to the dorms, planning on getting a nap in before lunch when all of a sudden, you were pinned to the dormitory wall, a tall man looming over you
To say you weren’t friends with Korekiyo was an understatement
No one was
He was just...there. Being him. He didn’t talk to anyone or try to interact. He liked to stare.
And here the boy was, arm next to your head and breathing down at you, breath blocked by the mask he always wore
“Can I help...you?”
Korekiyo seemed to snap out of a trance, eyes that were blankly staring at you now looking into your eyes with some actual living emotion
“Yes. I, uh, would like to ask for your assistance, with something in my ultimate lab...”
You felt your ears heat up, surprised at the way his voice sounded
It sounded really nice.
“I-uh, yeah...yeah! Of course I can help!”
He audibly let out a sigh, eyes averting from you. Was that a blush you see?
“Perfect. I see you’re doing something now, so I’ll request your presence after dinner. Goodbye.” He walked off quickly, sliding back into the school
Did you just...make friends with the unfriend-able?
Kiibo
You and Kiibo had been close since you guys met during the first days of the killing game
Who cares if he was a robot? You loved him and he didn’t know exactly what he was feeling so he guessed it was love!
You knew he was insecure about how little he knew about showing affection, so you were humored when he would confess he learned whatever romantic gesture he just did from another classmate
You didn’t care, it was sweet!
However, when he pinned you to the wall of the gym, you were startled
Mostly at the fact that he did it so forcefully his hand went into the wall, becoming stuck
“M-my apologies, Y/n! Kokichi told me to do it as hard as I can, so...”
The next few hours minutes were spent trying to pry him from the wall, Monokuma finally getting an exisal to dig him out when he had gotten bored of laughing at Kiibo
Kokichi, however, found it incredibly amusing, crying from laughter the second he saw what had happened, not letting him live it down for the next week
“I really gottta hand it to you, Kiibo! You know how to make someone swoon!”

EDIT: links to part one and three
***
Waking up was awkward. Nagito was an early riser, much to his dismay, but that next morning Nagito did not wake up first.
He woke up slowly, the foreign, fuzzy feeling of knowing he had slept too long, but still couldn't bring himself to wake up. He felt the light shining from behind his closed eyelids, but thought nothing of it, nuzzling deeper into his cocoon to block it out. After he moved, he felt the arms around him shift and gently shake his shoulders. A husky voice accompanied the motion.
"Nagito, I need to go."
Nagito felt the memories of last night hit him like a truck. A truck that then threw it in reverse and ran him over again when he realized that he was laying on Hinata's chest, curled and wrapped around him.
Nagito shot up, pushing on Hinata's chest to sit up, and then attempting to scoot away from the other boy as fast as he could. The quick motion sent his head spinning, and black dots danced in his vision.
Hinata reached out and grabbed Nagito's shoulders, steadying him. Hinata looked worried, his brow creased and mouth turned down. Oh god, he's upset with me, its my fault he hates me he wants to leave-
"I am so sorry," Hinata began talking, cutting Nagito's thoughts off before he could vocalize them. "I was worried about waking you up. I really didn't want to, but I really need to go. So I thought about sneaking out but..." Hinata sucked in a breath. Nagito felt Hinata's thumbs rub circles into his shoulders, and Nagito released the tension in them. "I... did not want you to wake up alone."
Hinata studied Nagito's face. Nagito wasn't sure what he saw, but he knew he had to at least be blushing.
"I am sorry if I scared you," Hinata offered after the silence became unbearable.
He thinks I'm... Does he not even realize how we woke up? That we were... he doesn't... oh my god has he always been this dense?
Nagito forced a small smile. "No, it's okay, I'm actually very thankful that you spent so much time on someone like me."
Hinata frowned. "Of course I would spend time on someone like you. Seeing as you are worth it and not trash."
"You don't have-"
"Yes I do," Hinata interrupted sternly. "Seeing as you don't believe it yourself." He paused and looked over at the clock. "Shit, I got to go." He looked back at Nagito. "Are you going to be okay?" He reached over and tucked a part of Nagito's hair behind his ear.
Nagito stopped breathing for what felt like minutes. His face burned, and he looked away, unable to look at Hinata anymore.
Nagito mumbled something like "mhm" and nodded slightly. Hinata apparently took that as a yes, as he let go of Nagito's shoulders and threw the covers off of himself. He hopped out of the bed and padded over to the door.
"Okay, great. See you tonight!" With that, Hajime was out the door.
See you tonight? Do we have a meeting tonight? Nagito mused as he wormed his way back into the covers. He tried to get comfortable, but couldn't seem to manage it. The bed was starting to feel cold, merely an echo of the warmth Hinata provided remained. Nagito sighed as he flailed in his bed. He curled into a tight ball and squeezed his eyes shut.
He wasn't going back to sleep. He was already too awake. Nagito spread out on the bed, taking up the full twin mattress. Maybe I can just lay here until I need to get up. Hinata has stuff to do, but I don't. If I did, I would mess it up anyway. I mean, I could go to breakfast...
Nagito's stomach grumbled. Then he thought about Hinata, sitting down at the table, peers talking to him, him smiling, and the Hinata looking over at Nagito and-
He wasn't sure what would happen next, but he was sure that he stomach immediately felt uneasy and eating became the last thing on his mind. He couldn't see Hinata so soon after they...
Nagito made up his mind to lay in his bed for the rest of the day.
He rolled over and pressed his face into the pillow, content on disassociating for the rest of all time. He heaved another large sigh, breathing into the pillow. Something just felt so calming and-
The bed smelled like Hinata.
Nagito got out of bed, deciding maybe lying in bed wasn't the best of ideas.
----------
Nagito hovered outside of his door. The day came and went and now it was time for his least favorite part of the day. Sleeping. Because that meant dreaming and Nagito did not want to dream.
He thought about how nice it had been to sleep with... how nice it had been to not be alone. His mind couldn't bear to finish that thought, but he could recognize that waking up alone from his night terrors had not been particularly enjoyable.
But Hinata was currently in a meeting with Kuzuryu, Pekoyama (of course, they were inseparable after they woke up), Nidai, and a few others discussing the creation of a patrol. So he was busy.
Even though what they were doing was so full of hope, Nagito felt himself getting upset. It wasn't like him.
It wasn't that he didn't want them to do all that, it was just... he didn't want Hinata to have to be there. It was so late, and he had to take care of everything all the time. Nagito thought he needed a break.
The more selfish side of Nagito knew the real reason why Hinata being tied up bothered him so much.
Nagito opened the door and began to get ready for bed. He didn't feel exhausted as usual, probably since last night he was able to actually sleep. After Nagito usually wakes up from a terror like that, sleep afterwards was a moot point. He was never able to.
He slipped into a nightshirt and old sweatpants and laid down in his bed. He didn't want to go to sleep just yet, so he began reading a book that was next to the bedside table. He did his best to focus, but after a while he felt himself drifting off again.
Flashes of red splashed across his vision. People were screaming, dying, burning, and Nagito was the one doing it. He felt a heavy weight around his neck. A collar. A chain. People were screaming. Explosions shook his body and he almost fell. He was running. No, he was standing. Watching the school burn down as students were trying to escape. They were screaming.
No, he was screaming.
"Nagito! Wake up!" A worried voice cut through the noise, and Nagito felt his voice crack. He was sitting up, someone clutching his shoulders. He opened his eyes but all he could see was Hinata.
"I killed them," Nagito hiccuped and sobbed. "I killed them I blew them all up I killed everyone I killed you I killed you-"
"Hey!" Hinata caught Nagito's face and held him firm with one hand, the other still supporting Nagito's torso. "Everyone is okay, you didn't do anything. I am here, I am alive, see?"
"No, no, no," Nagito chanted, shaking his head. He tried to wiggle out of Hinata's grasp, but he was far too weak and delirious. "I killed you, I did it, I killed you, you're dead and it's all my fault!" Nagito voice was low and hoarse from his screams, but as he bit out those words, it felt like they were twenty times as loud.
Hinata let go of Nagito's shoulder and snatched his hand. He pulled it to himself, still cradling Nagito's cheek with his right hand, and placed it over his chest. "Nagito, I am here. I am right here, you can feel my heart. Do you feel it?"
"No, no, it's my fault-"
"Nagito!" Hajime let go of Nagito's face as Nagito tried to shake him off. He used it to hold Nagito's hand in place, wrapping around his wrist. "Do you feel my heartbeat? Focus on feeling it. What does it feel like?"
Nagito broke eye contact with Hinata and looked down at his chest. Hinata was pressing Nagito's only hand onto his own chest, his hand wrapped around Nagito's wrist. Nagito focused on the heat radiating from Hinata, how it warmed his clammy fingers. As he focused in on his hand he began to feel it. The quick beating, the steady thrum. Loud and so very there.
"Fast..." Nagito finally mumbled.
Hinata chuckled. "You gave me quite a scare." He paused, then continued, more sober. "You were screaming." Hinata shook his head, thinking better of that line of questioning. "Keep going."
"Strong."
"Alright, see?" Hinata let go of Nagito's wrist, letting his other hand fall into his lap as well, and reached for his cheek again. He tilted Nagitos head up and wiped tears that Nagito did not know he shed off with his thumb. Hinata was smiling, face illuminated by the desk lamp Nagito had left on. He looked... ethereal. Nagito did not move his hand from Hinata's chest. He needed it there to be sure Hinata was alive. "I am here."
Nagito felt a ball of emotion claw its way up his throat. He swallowed it down and shut his eyes. Hinata was just too bright.
He took a moment and just breathed. Nagito wasn't sure how long he spent breathing, but the entire time, Hinata just waited.
After Nagito felt like he had composed himself enough, he began to apologize for everything. "Its... its not always like this... I am sorry you had to-"
"No." Hinata's voice was soft, but firm. "You will not apologize. I will not accept it. I am here because I want to be, Nagito."
"You are so very generous, as to be exp-"
"Nagito please," Hinata finally begged, leaning in until their foreheads touched. "For once believe me when I tell you you are worth it. That I am here for you and no one else, that I am not doing this just because I am nice or whatever crap you think, that I am doing this for you because it is you, and no one else, and you are worth it."
Nagito felt everything in him crack and splinter. He wanted so bad to do what Hinata asked, anything Hinata asked, but the idea felt so foreign and wrong. Nagito was trash, he was worthless and good for nothing and not even Hinata could change that.
Nagito clenched his hand, balling up Hinata's shirt in his fist. "I can't," he managed to say.
"Hey, hey, its okay. Can you believe that I think it?"
"Yes?" Nagito answered slowly, then added more rapidly. "I mean, its not always this bad, like I was saying, so you wont have to always come here and have to stay here. You won't have to come."
"Okay." Hinata paused, then pulled away a little bit. "Do... do you want me here?"
Nagito opened his eyes, curious as to what prompted the question. Hinata looked nervous or anxious, Nagito couldn't exactly tell.
"If... if I make you uncomfortable... or if you just want someone else..."
Oh god he thought...
"No!" Nagito said quickly. "No, I don't..." He looked down at his hand, balled in Hinata's shirt. "No one else will do."
"So," Hinata cleared his throat, prompting Nagito look up. Hinata was looking off to the side, towards the clock on the wall. Nagito thought he looked red, but couldn't exactly tell. "Can we use your room? Its cleaner than mine."
Nagito realized what he was talking about, and withdrew his hand from Hinata's shirt. Hinata dropped his hand from Nagito's face as well.
"Um, yeah."
"I'll try to get out of my meetings earlier, so I won't be out so late, but I can't get around my morning report to Naegi. I can probably convince him to push it back a bit, but it will still be early. Do you mind?"
"No." Nagito paused. He was asking if Nagito minded waking up early with him. Nagito didn’t want to wake up alone, and Hinata knew that and didn’t make him ask for it. He just... gave it to Nagito. "Thank you."
"Of course. I'm going to get changed, you want to lie down? You don't have to wait for me."
“I’ll wait,” Nagito responded immediately. He didn’t have to think about it, but Nagito did look at Hinata after that. He realized for the first time that he was fully clothed, including shoes. He must have just ran into the room.
Hinata nodded. He got up and walked to the door. Before he opened it, he paused and looked back at Nagito. "I will be right back."
Nagito nodded. He didn't believe in himself for anything, but if anything was for sure, it was Hajime Hinata.
And Hinata did come back. Each and every night.

i am once again asking for a kinmatch 👉🏻👈🏻 but not for me!! it’s for my sister. we have an ongoing joke that she’s irl kokichi, and i just wanna see what you think about her. danganronpa as the source, if you could !!!! okay to start, she has a short temper, brags a lot ( especially about her height ), LOVES to lie for her entertainment, and loves to take advantage of little things ( like my flinching LMAO ). she also loves to debate. ( i might need to continue this WHOOPS )
she HATES loosing/being wrong, and gets really into an argument. so much so that she might say some mean things. she usually feels bad after it, though. she might be a jerk on the outside, but she cares. she just might not show it. that’s all! thanks so much and once again have a nice day LMAO ( i might come around just to chat sometimes if you don’t mind ) -👉🏻👈🏻
i’m gonna cry, this is my second time writing this post out because i accidentally closed out the tab,,, note to self to keep backup copies haha. but anyways! i can totally get this done for you! actually, i think i’ve seen a similar ask on another profile... small world hehe~ you and your sister seem really cool! i don’t mind at all if you stop by and chat sometimes! oh, but... without further ado, let’s give it everything we’ve got!
first off, i match your sister with...
Tumblr media
kokichi ouma!
you probably saw this coming, haha... your sister is very reminiscent of kokichi, though. the two definitely have short tempers, though in kokichi’s case, it’s more understated since a lot of stuff actually goes his way ingame. at least, at first- jumping a bit later into your ask, a strong example of kokichi’s short temper as well as notes of him caring about the people around him come out in the ch4 trial. so, spoilers- i’ll put a * at the end. but, whenever his plans aren’t going how he wants them to, not only does he get the angriest we’ve seen him all game, but this is also partially because of what many speculate to be his guilt for manipulating gonta. he isn’t showing it as actual guilt, of course, since i’m not gonna write a whole kokichi essay here, but still. * tying it into your sister, trial four in v3 really strongly shows a lot of traits both her and him share. hating losing/being wrong, being a jerk on the outside but caring deep down, having a short temper, loving to get into debates/arguments, saying mean things but feeling guilt afterwards, i mean. your sister is kokichicore. i’m not gonna go into detail since it would just make the post redundant and even longer than it probably will be, but all of these traits align almost perfectly with him!
but oh no, anon, i’m not done yet. the only thing that i see as a slight difference between kokichi and her is that kokichi lies for both entertainment and for his own ulterior motives, typically for the best, even if it comes out malicious. i of course don’t know your sister, and don’t know her specific reasons for being a liar- she could lie for the same reasons that i believe kokichi to or not. however, the two of them do seem to share that sort of peppy attitude, while being almost-jokingly condescending to others. he brags a lot, especially about his talent(different than his height, but you know), and i personally see him as very perceptive- that thought mostly being from how he can tell when others are lying at the drop of a hat. i wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the only thing he can pick up on, since he’s sort of a master manipulator when he wants to be, and again while i don’t know your sister both of them can take advantage of other people’s little nuances.
secondly, i match your sister with...
Tumblr media
kotoko utsugi!
she’s been here a lot lately, huh? forgive me using the same sprite as the last one, i jus... love it sm. anyways, it was only when i was halfway done writing this post that i moved kotoko up to second place haha. first off, i think that your sister and kotoko are definitely both short-tempered, heck, the wiki’s first describing word for her is hot-headed! she isn’t a big bragger, however the persona she puts on makes her have a lot of theatre-based aspects to her personality, like being more loud and excited, as well as adding extra pizzazz to a lot of her speech and movements. kotoko and your sister are both big liars, and while a lot of kotoko’s lies are defense mechanisms, there are also lots of things she does purely for her own enjoyment. i won’t talk about it in depth here, but her chapter three interactions with komaru... yeah. she also takes advantage of small things about other people, as while examples aren’t specifically pointed out, she was able to lie to the other warriors of hope about her intentions and mindset while she was in the group- this requires at least a basic understanding of how to trick, or take advantage of, other people.
surprisingly, it doesn’t end there? kotoko is definitely the type to get into lots of debates and arguments- sometimes she doesn’t see them through to the end or get really riled up, but my lord, she is very passionate about peelings. plus, i mean, she is a bit of a bully, but it doesn’t seem to be out of a defense mechanism, she seems mean to her friends(despite probably caring about them, actually- after all, they were probably her first actual friends) just for the sake of her own enjoyment. she struggles to properly show when she does care, and i think that that’s a big coping mechanism thing- again, i don’t personally know your sister, but that’s just something i think the two of them can share. anyways! this post is already over 1,000 words and i’m not even done with the last major matchup... so! a!
finally, i match your sister with...
Tumblr media
hiyoko saionji!
okay, i’ll be a bit more concise with this one. but fun fact! i was originally gonna do hiyoko as the first choice?? but ultimately decided not to, will elaborate in the tags. however, while your sister isn’t directly linked to hiyoko in some ways, i think that the general personalities of them are similar. first, hiyoko hates being wrong- in fact, a large part of her is that she’ll refuse to take care of herself or be around others, since she doesn’t want to be perceived as stupid or wrong, all for not being able to tie her own kimono. while hiyoko is more of a crier than a rager, like your sister is, i think that that’s a strong parallel- plus, with hiyoko being, um, kind of a bully, she’s very good at finding people that are easy to take advantage of. that’s for lack of a better term, though, i’m not saying that your sister’s a toxic person asdjfjsjf!!!!
plus, hiyoko and your sister both brag a lot- while hiyoko’s is more passive and setting up a sense of superiority(about her traditionalism, economic status and talent), they both establish a sense of “i see myself as higher than the rest of you”. also, this is probably the longest point, but hiyoko does care for people like mikan whenever she picks on them- she typically doesn’t show it, and only does for fleeting moments, but her steadily growing kindness towards them is a big indicator of this. there are lots of times in the manga where hiyoko, despite being a bit gruff on the outside, does show that she cares for others, even if she’s not open enough to really say it genuinely and honestly.
-
your sister also reminds me a bit of miu iruma, and a little bit of junko enoshima! (er... as in, a nondespair junko with a similar personality. please don’t think i’m calling your sister the same as someone who’s caused as much destruction as junko has, haha.)
whew! i’m sorry this came out so late! it might’ve been a bit earlier, but when my kokichi description was accidentally deleted it drained my motivation a bit. none of that is your fault though, anon! so try not to worry,, thank you very much for requesting!! i hope that you and your sister like this sdjfjadfs

So, okay, I am planning to get around to doing both a bonus ramble for chapter 6, and also finally doing that bonus ramble for chapter 5 that I mentioned back then. Buuut instead of working on those things yet, I found myself doing something a little different.
See, this whole commentary was all written in the same ridiculously long document. And there’s a search function that can tell me exactly how many instances of a given character’s name are in this document, which I can also break down to see how many times they’re mentioned within a single post’s worth of it. Which means that, other than a commentary for DRV3, what I’ve also unintentionally generated is a huge source of data on how I see this story, in terms of how relevant and interesting each character is being at each point in the narrative.
So, well, I don’t know if anyone else will be into this, but I found it fascinating to look into, so here’s me nerding out over some data. You want a visual representation of how I see the story of Danganronpa V3, with GRAPHS? Then look no further.
(Disclaimer: whenever I talk about a character’s “relevance” during this, obviously I am talking about their relevance according to me as measured by my commentary. Though it should have at least some relation to their objective relevance to the story, this is not necessarily a measure of that.)
The number of times a character is mentioned will include both the times I mentioned them in my own commentary and times they’re mentioned in quotes from the game, either as the tag for who’s speaking or being talked about by another character.
I should also note that for all of these upcoming graphs, Kaito and Kokichi’s counts have been adjusted to account for the fact that Exisal Kokichi is actually Kaito. I counted the number of mentions of specifically “Exisal Kokichi”, then subtracted that amount from Kokichi’s count and added it to Kaito’s. Similarly, Tsumugi’s count was adjusted to include all of her cosplays of DR1/2 characters in trial 6, since those were all just her speaking.
First, here’s the totals of how many times each character was mentioned throughout the entire commentary. (This is only main commentary posts; bonus chapter-end rambles and replies to asks are not included.) The characters are ordered along the X-axis by how long they were alive for, so that you can compare how relevant they should in theory have been based on that to how relevant they actually are to the story in my eyes.
Tumblr media
Surprising absolutely no-one, Kaito is the character I talked about the most. He even managed to beat out Shuichi, the actual protagonist of the game who is alive for a whole chapter more than him, by a significant margin. In fact, I imagine that all of my talking about Kaito’s issues with regards to Shuichi contributed quite significantly to Shuichi’s count.
I’m personally a little sad that Kokichi managed to significantly beat out Maki for third place. But while I don’t know if my talking about his actual issues alone would outstrip Maki’s, he was also very relevant to the plot of both chapters 4 and 5, plus I spent a lot of time in general explaining why he was obviously wrong every time he kept insisting he was obviously right, so that does track. He’s still only mentioned slightly less than half as much as Kaito, though. That seems fair.
(I know a lot of people associate Kokichi with the colour purple, but I really feel like black-and-white represents him more. Besides, if I’d given him a somewhat darker, more bluer purple than Kaito’s, he’d be really difficult to distinguish from both Kaito and Shuichi in the upcoming line graphs.)
Gonta comes in fifth place! Partly this is that I did his FTEs out of personal preference even though they’re not obviously meant to be a canon part of the story like Kaito’s and Maki’s definitely are. It’s also probably because Gonta speaking about himself in third-person amplified his own count to a significant fraction more than it would have otherwise been if he didn’t talk that way. But even so, Gonta is important and good (and rather relevant to both Kaito and Kokichi in different ways) so he definitely deserves to be considered a relatively significant part of this story.
Then nobody else gets mentioned over a thousand times; the next highest are the basically-tied Kaede and Himiko. Kaede was relevant enough from the single chapter she was around to even beat out even the other two who made it to chapter 6, who have a higher count than the rest mostly due to gradually accumulating it throughout the whole game.
Everyone else is hovering at around 300 mentions or so. The least mentioned of all is Angie, which makes sense, because of the characters I don’t personally care for at all, she had the least relevance to the plot.
Next, let’s look at a general overview of how each character’s relevance shifts from chapter to chapter. To do this, I calculated the average number of times each character was mentioned per post in any given chapter. (This doesn’t include the prologue, since that’s only two posts, one of which has most of the characters not existing yet and one of which is me mostly talking about their overall predicted relevance to this commentary rather than their relevance at that particular point in the story, so that data wouldn’t mean much.)
(I should add that, were I being a Proper Scientist about this, I would have first normalised the character mentions to each post’s word count to account for the fact that posts have varying lengths. But since I tried to keep the post lengths fairly similar anyway, the raw number of character mentions should still be a reasonable universal measure of that character’s proportional relevance in any given post, and therefore in any given chapter once averaged. I’d rather not make things more confusing for any less-sciencey readers – if you have no idea what I just said here, don’t worry about it.)
Tumblr media
As you’d imagine, everyone who dies peaks in relevance during the chapter they die in. The only exception to this is Kokichi, whom I found more interesting to talk about in chapter 4 than chapter 5. That is, after all, the chapter he commits murder in.
I’m a little surprised that Kaito’s chapter 5 average is so much higher than his chapter 4 average, since I consider both chapters 4 and 5 to be Extremely Good Kaito Chapters for different reasons. I suppose it’s because, while he’s got fun character stuff going on throughout both chapters, in chapter 5 Kaito is also significantly more relevant to the plot than he is in chapter 4. He does spend trial 5 being effectively both the victim and a major participant in the discussion of the case (in a way that culprits usually aren’t until they get accused because they’re trying to lay low), which is bound to have pushed up his average a lot.
Kaito manages to still be the third most relevant character in both chapters 1 and 6. In chapter 1 it’s partly helped by me doing his FTEs out of what was largely personal preference, but he also really is doing a lot more interesting things and having more of a character arc already in that chapter than basically anyone else except for the two protagonists. And in chapter 6, I went into it determined to find every possible opportunity to mention Kaito, but… I’m still impressed with myself that I managed to mention him more times in that chapter than even Maki, who is still having an actual character arc at that point.
Four of our five most relevant characters take a dip in relevance during chapter 3. That really does go to show that chapter 3 is kind of the black sheep of the story that doesn’t fit thematically with the rest of it nearly as much. Kaito gets nerfed in-universe for silly reasons, while the out-universe writers apparently just couldn’t think of anything interesting to do with Kokichi in this chapter. Even Shuichi is mentioned less despite being the protagonist, because this is in between him overcoming his own post-Kaede issues during chapter 2, and him becoming very very relevant to Kaito’s issues during chapters 4 and 5. Maki’s development really is the only big overarching story-related thing going on in this chapter.
…Nonetheless, I’m still impressed with how much I managed to mention Kaito during chapter 3, such that he’s still more relevant to me in it than anyone else. I went into that chapter thinking I wasn’t going to have much to say about him past the beginning part because he spends so much of it ill and offscreen, but I still ended up finding plenty to say about why he is ill and offscreen anyway.
It’s kind of interesting how, until Gonta dies, Gonta and Kokichi’s graphs look very similar to each other, with Kokichi’s just being a little bit higher. They are, tragically for Gonta, both relevant for similar reasons a lot of the time. In the same vein, but happier, Kaito and Shuichi’s graphs for chapters 2 to 4 also have a similar shape to each other, which makes sense since I’m often talking about them both together. In chapter 5, Kaito’s greater relevance to the plot and not just to his and Shuichi’s character arcs is bound to be why he has a much higher increase than Shuichi there.
While most characters barely get mentioned once they’ve been dead for more than a chapter (they tend to at least get mentioned a little in the chapter afterwards due to people reflecting on the previous case), Kaede’s baseline during chapters 3 to 5 is still slightly higher than most. She averages at nearly 2 mentions per post for those three chapters, which is very impressive for someone who’s been dead since chapter 1! She really does continue to have an influence throughout the whole game.
Now let’s break it down further into each individual post to see how everyone’s relevance changes within each chapter. I’m separating these into one graph per chapter so as not to overwhelm things with one ridiculously wide graph.
Tumblr media
(Including lines dividing the different sections of a chapter to help people follow roughly where each post is at in the story. The posts which are only half Deadly Life are being fully counted as that for our purposes here – think of it as the lead-in to the body discovery as well as the investigation itself.)
Unsurprisingly, Kaede is almost always the most relevant character in any chapter 1 post – after all, she’s the protagonist, plus she’s being really interesting and relevant to the narrative the entire time in a way that Shuichi won’t always be once he becomes the protagonist. Kaito does somehow manage to be slightly more relevant than Kaede just for the first half of trial 1, probably because his strategy meeting was the topic of discussion a lot there, while Kaede’s character (aka the part where she murdered someone) was less in focus.
Kaito is still a clear third place here. While he doesn’t really come into explicit narrative focus until the end of chapter 1, he’s still having something of a character arc in the background and being way more interesting than any of the other non-Kaede-or-Shuichi characters, who are in this chapter mostly just background noise desperately trying to establish their basic character traits. Maki is one of the only ones who’s less background noise and more having a few moments of me talking about her issues in between her pointedly not drawing attention to herself at all. And while Kokichi is the fourth most relevant character in this chapter, we can see from this that it’s mainly due to his background noise being slightly noisier than everyone else’s (particularly in the trial, because trust issues), with the only thing of any real note he does in this chapter being discouraging everyone from the escape tunnel at the beginning.
Tumblr media
(Featuring characters who are dead from the beginning of the chapter becoming dotted lines, to help unclutter things and also make it noticeable at a glance whenever a peak is a character managing to be relevant after they’re dead.)
And now, while Shuichi has become the protagonist and is having plenty of interesting character arc this chapter, Kaito has also fully come into narrative focus and so is going to be outstripping even Shuichi in relevance most of the time from now on. The one time this chapter that Shuichi does manage to be more relevant than Kaito is in the latter part of the trial as he faces the truth and accuses Kirumi, first with Kaito’s encouragement but then seemingly without needing Kaito at all towards the end, which feels… appropriate.
You can see the peaks of Kaito’s free time events and then him training Shuichi during the Daily Life. The patterns for a character in Daily Life will often oscillate like this, as Daily Lifes tend to alternate between character development stuff and plot stuff. Those Kokichi peaks in Daily Life, for example, are all him reacting to (or causing) plot stuff. The Gonta ones are partly his free time events incidentally happening to land in the same post as plot stuff, but also the Insect Meet-and-Greet.
Maki starts to become more relevant during the investigation and trial, featuring a big peak in the part where Kaito believes in her and is Good. You can also notice Himiko being brainwashed by Angie, doing her magic show, and being suspected during the trial, with vague smaller peaks of Angie and/or Tenko at the same time. A lot more characters are beginning to make themselves noticed above the background noise by now, even aside from this chapter’s victim and culprit.
Tumblr media
Kaito is super relevant during his free time event and first training session with Maki, and then fluctuates wildly between being ill and trying very hard not to be ill for the rest of the non-trial posts. (Not that I don’t still find stuff to say about him even when he is, but it is harder when he spends most of the post offscreen.) That first Deadly Life post is far less about the murder and more just me talking about Kaito’s phobia for practically the whole post, which is why nobody else except for him and his sidekicks are all that relevant there. A bunch of the other characters shoot up for the second Deadly Life post compared to the first as there’s a lot more plot going on there.
Maki’s relevance steadily increases during Daily Life except for the post which is half plot and half Gonta’s FTEs. You can also notice the part where Tenko tries to stop Angie’s ritual and get through to Himiko.
Kokichi isn’t doing much of anything during the Daily Life and his only significant peaks are discussing his trust issues in the trial (in conjunction with Himiko wanting to believe in Tenko, featuring even more of Kaito being good) and then him accidentally being nice to Himiko in the trial conclusion.
Practically every interesting character (except Shuichi, who’s just doing his detective thing) drops in relevance between the first half of the trial and the second, because there really isn’t nearly as much interesting character stuff going on in the second half of the trial and it’s just Kiyo being terrible.

(I split up the Daily Life and Deadly Life a little differently in this one, since while the whole Virtual World trip is nominally “Daily Life”, it’s basically the murder already in progress and has a very different tone from the rest of Daily Life up until the end of free time. Now also featuring splits for the trial because my coverage of trials from this point on is so damn long.)
Man, I love how starkly clear it is that there are really only four characters who are relevant to this case and trial. Even Maki isn’t – she gets her moment to shine during the Daily Life and some brief bits of being good during the investigation, but the trial is not about her at all. Similarly, Himiko has a bit during the Daily Life focusing on her post-Tenko development (featuring Gonta) and then basically nothing after that.
Any big peak of Shuichi in this chapter can be assumed to almost certainly be about Kaito’s issues regarding him; Kaito has peaks in similar places to Shuichi most of the time. The only times he doesn’t are Maki’s training, which is of course about Kaito helping her, and then the first post of the trial, which has a good bit of Kaito’s principles clashing with Kokichi. But for the entire rest of the trial, Kaito’s relevance does not remotely correlate with Kokichi’s, or even Gonta’s, because Kaito’s issues in this trial are really almost entirely about Shuichi.
You can very clearly see the point at which Gonta gets accused in the trial – that is, just after the post in which Kokichi made everything about himself for ages and then threw a tantrum when Shuichi wasn’t having any of it. Kokichi’s pattern for the rest of the trial until the execution then looks a lot more similar to Gonta’s pattern than it does to Kaito’s. Guess who’s the real source of Kokichi’s issues here.

(Splitting up the Daily Life here as well between the end of free time and the beginning of Kaito’s brilliant heroic plan, since the first half is a lot more character development and the second half is a lot more plot.)
For the Daily Life, there’s kiiind of that same pattern of Kaito and Shuichi having similar peaks, since Kaito’s issues are still extremely about Shuichi at this point. That doesn’t show up so well during free time in which Kaito is not available, even though I kind of am still talking about Kaito’s issues a good bit, because I’m mostly doing so through the metaphor of Himiko’s FTEs without directly mentioning Kaito’s name as much. The one in which Kaito and Shuichi’s patterns match the least is the post with Kaito’s plan, which is about him realising he needs to actually be a hero instead of focusing on looking like one just to prove himself to Shuichi, so that seems appropriate. And after the last part of the Daily Life in which they make up and have their adorable window conversation, Kaito is more or less over his issues regarding Shuichi – or at least isn’t letting them affect him any more – so their patterns don’t match up as much as they used to once we get to the case and trial. The Shuichi peaks during the investigation and trial are then a lot more focused on Shuichi himself, in terms of how he’s dealing with Kaito being apparently dead.
It’s pretty abundantly clear that this chapter is basically just about the training trio, plus Kokichi who facilitates those character dynamics by driving the plot. Himiko’s free time events are noticeable, as is the bit in the trial where she’s a suspect, but she doesn’t do much the rest of the time. Meanwhile Tsumugi and Keebo are still contributing practically fuck all to the narrative, just like they’ve been doing for the past four chapters as well. You can tell which post is mostly me talking about the Hope’s Peak plot because none of the characters get talked about in it to a particularly great extent – and Kaito still manages to be the third most relevant character in that post even though he’s offscreen for the whole thing.
As he should be, Kaito is always the most relevant character for the entire trial, even more so than Kokichi! Remember that I adjusted the data to account for the fact that Exisal Kokichi is actually Kaito – without that, Kokichi does get more mentions than Kaito in a few trial posts, but that isn’t a fair representation of who is actually being talked about and having lines. Heck, I imagine that about half of Kokichi’s mentions in the trial are just me talking about how he would usually act in order to explain why Kaito’s really not quite acting like the real Kokichi at all.
The biggest Kokichi peak in the trial proper is the only one that has a lot of me talking about him for his own sake, as I discuss the logistics of his plan and explain how he ruined it all by posthumously gloating. You can also see his plan being discussed in the trial conclusion, and then him ceasing to be relevant as everything becomes about Kaito and his friends.
This trial does have less obvious trends than trial 4 – I split it up at the intermission again, but there’s not much of a meaningful narrative difference between the first half and the second. There’s so much discussion of the logistics of the case and everything Exisal Kokichi is saying that the actual character progression that Maki and Shuichi have here gets a little bit lost amongst that noise (and Kaito himself isn’t precisely having much of an actual arc during this trial even as he is being the best and most relevant). You can at least see the post which is almost entirely flashback, featuring a lot more Maki and much less Shuichi, then also the part where Maki is adorable as she realises Kaito’s still alive and then can’t bear to accept he’s the culprit. You can also kind of see Shuichi forcing himself to accept Kaito’s death in the Debate Scrum earlier on, and then believing in Kaito towards the end.

(There wasn’t an official intermission to split the trial at, but I decided to split it at the point where the audience shows up, since there’s a very big shift in topic and tone from then on. The first half is a lot longer in-game than it might seem based on how comparatively long I spent on it, because most of it was straightforward deductions and exposition that I didn’t have much to say about.)
The overall counts for characters in general during this chapter are a lot lower, which reflects the fact that there’s less interesting character arc stuff going on here and I’m talking a lot more about the plot instead.
Kokichi has a big posthumous peak when we’re investigating his lab and his room, some decent relevance throughout the rest of the investigation for plot reasons (the Bugvac, etc), another small peak in the trial as we confirm he wasn’t a Remnant of Despair… and then he basically just stops being relevant once we move onto the fiction stuff and start thinking more about the influence the deceased characters had on those who are still here. Kaito has much steadier posthumous relevance throughout, partly out of how much he means to his sidekicks (that biggest peak is when Tsumugi uses that to make Shuichi and Maki despair over their fictionality), and partly because I just can’t stop finding reasons to mention him even though he’s gone.
Kaede and Rantaro are of course quite relevant during their retrial, and a little bit during some other plot parts – Rantaro’s lab, the stupid Kaede twin red herring during the investigation, Shuichi realising why Rantaro did the killing game again. Other than these plotty parts, Kaede’s pattern kiiiinda matches Kaito’s here and there, since they did both have such an influence on Shuichi. The parts where Kaito has more of a peak than Kaede are a lot more specific to him, such as the flashbacks in the investigation that were relevant to his issues, and the impossible being possible near the end of the trial.
You can see Tsumugi being found out as the mastermind… and then only being the most relevant character for a grand total of two posts. Keebo’s brief stint as protagonist is also pretty clear here, and he’s the most relevant for exactly one post. But this chapter is really the most about Shuichi. Tsumugi’s relevance as the mastermind drops right off in the same post that Shuichi’s shoots back up as he realises what’s going on with this hope nonsense and stands against it, which is very satisfying. Even Kaito becomes more relevant than Tsumugi towards the end of the trial!
Bonus fun facts about all the post-by-post graphs taken together:
While Kaito is alive, there are only two posts in which he is not among the top three most relevant characters. In both cases he’s a pretty close fourth, and in one of those cases he’s a lot more the topic of my commentary than you’d think from the number of times I mention his name, so he probably isn’t really only the fourth most relevant at all there.
There are only nine posts in which Kokichi is more relevant than Kaito, and three of those are only by a pretty small margin.
The character who has the single highest number of mentions in any one post is actually not Kaito – it’s Gonta. While Kaito is extremely relevant in many many posts, there seems to be a maximum to that. After all, there is a maximum post length that I tried to adhere to, and so even in a post with the highest possible concentration of talking about Kaito, there’s basically a hypothetical limit to the number of times he can be mentioned. But Gonta’s thing of amplifying his own count because he talks about himself in third-person means that, for the one post which is almost entirely about him (the first half of trial 4’s conclusion), he outstrips that hypothetical per-post limit in a way that other characters wouldn’t be able to do no matter how relevant they are.
This was really fun to look at! I always had an instinctive feeling for how I felt about each character’s relevance at each point in the story, but it’s cool to see a visual representation of it using actual data. It really does feel very accurate. Kaito’s frequent high counts may sometimes be an exaggeration of his objective relevance on the surface, but that genuinely is how I see those parts of the story. Even if it’s subtle, there’s so much going on in Kaito’s head beneath the surface, and that’s the biggest thing that draws me to any given part of the story.
And what I love so much about this story, as these graphs so wonderfully show, is how relevant Kaito always is. Even if Kaito hadn’t been one of the most important characters in this story, he’d still have been my favourite anyway just because he’s the kind of character I tend to enjoy in a lot of different ways. So it’s just so great to me that, no matter where I’m at in the story (unless it’s chapter 6), it’s never too far away from some part in which Kaito is being at least a little bit interesting and fun in some way – and usually a hell of a lot more than just a little.
(Have I ever mentioned how incredibly happy I am that the writers really did thoroughly care about Kaito’s story and didn’t gratuitously kill him off earlier than he deserved like they’d been making it seem like they would.)

MGRP: Black Chapter 1 Thoughts and Reactions
So I’m actually in a unique position because as a translator I can’t exactly “react” after I read it, and I’ve read MGRP way before I started translating it, but, then I had a thought.
What if I type out my reactions, put it in notepad or some other text document, preserve it, and then after I translate it, post them all up? That way, it’ll technically still be my reactions and thoughts at the time, and I can kinda sorta join in the fandom discussion.
With Black coming out I thought Black was the perfect arc to start it, so I’ve been typing up my reactions starting with Chapter 1. I actually wanted to do it for Queens too, I just only had the idea after I was halfway through Queens. In any case, here we go:
NOTE: By this point I only have knowledge of Chapter 1 as I read it.
The Entire Regulations and Rules section before the Prologue
This part reminds me of something like DanganRonpa or something similar where the rules are quite normal and nice until you get to stuff like “DON’T TALK ABOUT ANYTHING TO SOCIAL MEDIA >:C”. Which I guess makes sense for Magical Girls, but there’s a vague air of... sinisterness? I wonder if Pythie was behind this school.
Also I like the school anthem. I wish there was an accompanying background music, but I’ll try and sing it in my head.
Gradually, her ego took form, and the girl began to regain her sense of self. She stretched her body, and hit a flat hard object. It was cold, and her butt also felt the same. Perhaps she was sitting on the floor. Without rushing, but without being slow about it either, she opened her eyes, as if realizing this is not how things should be.
A woman was smiling straight ahead. Who was she? She was bending down and looking at her, tilting her neck. Beside her, there was a human-sized object that was tied up in chains and stuck with a tag.
The girl blinked, held her breath, and gulped.
Actions that she should’ve done without thought now felt agonizing, as if this wasn’t her own body. Why? She wondered, and as if answering, her mind replied If you have questions, just ask. She opened her mouth and said “Uh.” After confirming what her voice sounded like, she looked towards the woman, and asked her question.
Okay, so is Kana asking herself a question in her mind? Curious how her power works here. Also, what was that about a human-sized object tied in chains and stuck with a tag? That’s... bizarre. Kana where are you? Also she’s clearly been out for some time, probably. Like she’s probably not used to having this body. My other guess is that she’s not used to the sensation of being a Magical Girl.
“This isn’t my body anymore, is it?”
Wrong. This was definitely a girl’s body.
“You haven’t used it for a while, have you?”
Supports my theory above.
She was inside a small room, with concrete walls and floors unadorned with any decorations. It was about twice her height. Meanwhile, its width and depth were about six times her height. When she looked behind her, she could see a cylindrical vertical container. Did she just come out of it? The floor, walls, and the colors of the container were all pale white. Its material was soft, like resin or something. The only exit was the one metallic door frame. The woman in front of her was standing as if she was guarding said door. While her smile seemed like an average smile, but there was something off about it. As soon as she took her eyes away from her, though, she couldn’t exactly place why it felt so off. She wore a skirt, with high heeled shoes, and glasses. The impression she got from her outfit was that she was formal, yet her smile was mischievous.
What the hecky was she in cryostasis!? Also this sounds like Pythie/Yoshioka
“......Where are we?”
The woman didn’t answer. But the answer popped into the girl’s head regardless. This was a prison. The woman bowed and spoke,
Okay so this is Magical Girl prison.
“I am Yoshioka. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”
“Yoshioka.”
I knew it.
“But now the tides have changed.”
“The Land of Magic doesn’t change so easily.”
She knows about the Land of Magic. Kana you are interesting.
“You are a Magical Girl named Kana. Do you remember?”
“Kana.”
She shook her head rapidly, and grabbed any unkempt hair. Now that she mentioned it, that did seem right. Within her vague memory, she recalled a Kana hidden somewhere there.
“Right. Kana. My name is Kana.”
“Now, as for what you did before-”
Before she could even utter another word, a name popped into Kana’s head.
“Caspar…”
At this point I’m thinking she’s probably related to Ratsumu? Is she potentially the actual Third Sage? She doesn’t seem Sagey but she’s got like... a potential for it. Especially cause she said she recalled “a Kana hidden somewhere”. What if she’s only a fragment of the Sage? Like how Ratsumu’s name is inhumanly long.
“Perhaps you may have noticed, but that is your Magical Skill. When you ask a question to someone, you will immediately know their answer. A wonderful, powerful ability, though one that shouldn’t be abused.”
“And why shouldn’t I abuse it?”
Immediately, the answer popped into her head. Because answers are subjective. If the respondent would answer a lie that they believe to be true, the answer will be distorted as well. There are also things that are better left unknown. Also, it was much better to use your own head to figure things out rather than relying on your powers. Perhaps because it might be a breach of privacy to Yoshioka. Kana certainly didn’t want her own privacy being breached. A variety of answers popped into her head. All of them Yoshioka’s, perhaps gained through her powers.
What happens if Kana asks someone a question in a livestream... Also this power is less powerful than I expected, which means it may not be Sage-level, but it doesn’t rule out the fact that she could be a Sage.
She followed Yoshioka into a hallway filled with a series of rugged iron bars, which led to large pillars further ahead, and these iron bars and large pillars continued to surround her path forward. There were doors lined equally on the sides, with prisoners just like Kana imprisoned inside, pacing around as they stared at the iron bars. This scenery repeated across the floors until they reached the sixth floor. This was a pretty big facility. If there was one prisoner per door, she’d guessed this jail housed about 100 or 200 prisoners. There were tags within tags, used to mark these prisoners down. Naturally, security was supposed to be strict, but other than Yoshioka and the Magical Girl packed inside that object, nobody was here visiting anyone else.
Wow. This is a huge prison. Were they all stripped of clothing and equipment too, or was it just Kana? Also, a thought that occurred to me later on past my initial reactions during my readthrough, “why wasn’t Kana tagged?”
“That’s yours. Please feel free.”
“Clothes and underwear.”
She turned them around, and the bright light inside the room bounced from her silver hair to make a shining circle. There was also a matching skirt.
“This doesn’t look like a costume.”
“It’s a uniform.”
It looked like a sailor suit with a crimson color scheme. It had a design that had low degrees of exposure. This would be too plain for a Magical Girl costume. Kana didn’t feel like this matched her. She wasn’t flashy, sure, but this was even worse. It also felt Eastern somewhat.
“This doesn’t look like something you wear for a Magical Girl job.”
“Oh, my apologies. These clothes are enchanted by magic, so it won’t ever break. Not to worry. And, it fits where you’re supposed to go.”
That explains why Kana’s clothes are so plain. This wasn’t her actual costume at all.
☆ Mariko Fukuroi
Black is officially the best arc. Case closed.
All of a sudden, Mariko became known as the head of information. She was then entrusted with more things than would befit a temporary assistant. With there being two Magical Girls in this school, school life was generally very chaotic.
How did she get so many jobs. I mean, I’m proud of you Marika but how. Weren’t you just a sub?
Originally, Mariko had only been sent as a substitute teacher because one of the homeroom teachers was on maternity leave
Yes, you WERE!
Despite that, Yamada kept exercising on his own. His spirit was nearly unbreakable, even to the eyes of a Magical Girl. But who knows how far that’ll take him. Carefully, but also quickly, Mariko sought out a way to solve the problem, by listening, being attentive, and alert.
I hope you become a Magical Girl some day Yamada.
Turning around, she saw two girls. She knew their faces, but they weren’t from her class. In fact, they weren’t even the same grade. Standing in front of her was Yoshiko Yoshinoura, with an expression that showed how determined she was. Behind her, Sari Kasuga seemed worried. Both, however, seemed to be anxious. Both were friends of Koyuki Himekawa.
Props to Yoshiko for also surviving all the way to Black. She, Snow, and Ripple are the only long-running survivors at this point. If Snow and Ripple bite the dust, this ironically makes her the one who outlived literally every other cast member. Poor Sumire never shows up again though.
“Hey teach, you’re kinda looking a bit weird. Gritting your teeth like that.”
“Mmph?”
It seems her face had contorted from her clenched jaw. Yoshiko’s suspicions only grew further. Mariko managed to cover by coughing twice. Mariko went back to a cool nonplussed “What? You didn’t see anything” kind of face.
“I uh, have canker sores.”
“Really?”
“Uh huh. I swear, I do.”
Mariko Fukuroi—the Magical Girl Marika Fukuroi—always hung out with Snow White whenever they were both Magical Girls. She’d help her with anything she had on her plate. Whenever she did so, Marika was almost always filled with joy. Such was the freedom of the Magical Girl known as Marika Fukuroi. However, she still had trouble remembering all her students’ faces. They flickered back and forth in her mind. Her inner storm didn’t really make for a nice warm personality.
Answer. Your. Phone. Snow.
Also, it’s cute how Marika cares so much about Snow White this way. I always knew she did, but now it’s even better. Marika’s a huge brutish brawler, but she also just has trouble socializing, and letting out her actual feelings. This is great.
After opening the door to the science lab, she closed it and held it down with her body, the girls still outside. Then, she bit back a loud scream and pulled her hair.
I really wish this was animated, or drawn, or just... something. I really really really want to see this.
Snow White’s new Magical Phone—that she hasn’t used yet—began to vibrate inside her costume. Whatever the reason, it’d be interrupting what she was doing now. So she held her hand to her costume and turned off her phone.
ANSWER. YOUR. PHONE. SNOW.
She had faintly heard the voice of someone’s mind from beyond the trees, meaning she had to close the distance. She made a circle with her thumb and index finger, and the Magical Girl running up behind her, Uluru, saw her signal.
I am so glad they’re partners now. Snow White and Uluru, Batman and Robin, it fits so well.
“There she is! That’s the girl you beat up in the cave…” Uluru said, pointing to a blue Magical Girl standing in front of the trees. Princess Deluge.
Whoa, they found Deluge already? Wait, are they going to fight again? OH MY GOD ARE THEY!? ARE WE GONNA SEE ANOTHER FIGHT? IN THE PROLOGUE?
Back when Puk Puck had raided the caverns, Uluru had told Snow White that she fought with Deluge, and then promptly thought that it might be a bad idea to mention that. The Uluru she knew before would always say what’s on her mind without fault. Now, Uluru had grown. She cared for others, and chose her words carefully.
I like how we’re checking in with everyone, and I like that Uluru is growing as a person and a partner. This fills me with joy. Snow and Uluru are one of my favorite Snow pairs next to Marika, cause both of them can basically kick ass Batman Robin style (well with Marika it’d be Batman and... uh... insane battle hungry Robin? a nicer Jason Todd Robin?)
Standing around Deluge were Armor Arlie, Blade Brenda, and Cannon Catherine, all facing Snow White. These three black-suited Magical Girls had also been manipulated by Puk Puck and fought alongside her. However, Arlie, who had never taken off her visor, even while in briefings, breaks, or fighting with Puk Puck, had now lifted her visor. She looked just like Brenda and Catherine, yet she was also completely different from before.
Snow White smiled back in reply to the black-suited Magical Girls who were happily waving about their weapons, before relaxing her expression and facing Deluge.
D’awwwww she LIKES them!!!!!!!!!
Alright, Chapter 1 proper. I can’t believe it ends THERE! So wait, Armor Arlie’s still Arlie, and there’s no Dory, which means... Where is she? Is she part of Deluge’s group? Wait, where’s Shadow Gale? Did they just... leave her at home? Without a babysitter? Does she have food? Will she be okay?
☆ Tetty Goodgripp
The nearest station from her house was around three minutes; from there, she’d catch two trains, then she’d exit the largest station from the west side, and walk one minute until she arrived at her destination. The building had no elevator and was all broken down and rusty, but she still had to travel up to the seventh floor. Finally, she would reach the Gate to her school. This was her normal route to school.
So the school uses a Gate in the 7th floor? That’s pretty rad.
From there, she entered the building from the roof. She had considered the fact that the rooftop door not being locked was a sign of courtesy for other Magical Girls.
Isn’t she breaking the rules here, Class Rep?
As she ran across the hallways, she saw a sign on the wall that read “No running in the halls.” It’s fine. It was a short walk to class anyway.
That’s two rules broken.
They all belonged to one of the three groups. Group three to be precise. Hearing Fujino’s footsteps, they turned around, in time for Fujino to say a warm “Good morning!” towards them.
I’ll not paste every single one of their descriptions but while I can see Lightning being hime-girl, Diko being mohawk girl threw me off so much.
“Ello.”
“Ewo.”
God, these two are gonna get me so much.
These three groups refuse to interact with each other at all. At best, they’d greet each other, but the only one who would respond with a smile among anyone was Sally Raven. The rest are generally salty to any outsiders. Except for one girl in group two, who wasn’t just elementary school friends with Fujino—she also became a Magical Girl in the same exam.
Fuko Sayama—Magical Girl name Mepis Pheles. She had been estranged from Fujino when she transferred out, but miraculously, they made a reunion here. At first, they got along well, but then they started to talk less and less because she kept getting mad whenever they played cards.
Mepis is one person I didn’t expect to be the angry type, but now I’m even more interested in her.
At this point we’ve gotten an illustration, and I notice compared with the human illustrations in twitter that they’re arranged in exactly the same way as their groups! Which means the ones that don’t have human illustrations WASN’T Arlie and Dory, but Calcolo (cause she’s a teacher) and Kana. This was further confirmed when the two twins actually ARE Arlie and Dory.
“Well duh, they’d be a Magical Girl! This is a Magical Girl CLASS! I’m talkin’ about somethin’ ELSE! They’re a bit more mhm mhm, y’know?”
With her fingers on her sun-tanned cheeks, Wrappy Tip shook her chestnut hair out and about. She normally speaks loud, and now she spoke even louder somehow.
WRAPPY!!! WHY DO YOU SCREAM SO MUCH! I’m joking I love you for that Wrappy. Your Magical Girl form looks like Tepsekemei but you’re actually HIGHLY ENERGETIC!
“I’m glad OUR group has five! If we had four, then WE’D get the inmate! God, can you imagine the TENSION!?”
“You don’t have to be so mean.”
“I’m not MEAN! I’m SCARED!”
Wrappy’s words seemed nervous, but her expression and tone were completely at odds with it, being so cheerful.
I have a feeling Wrappy is going to be like this for the entirety of Black. She’s just gonna be in danger and be like “OH MY GOD WE’RE IN DANGER!” with googly eyes and a gasping look on her face.
“So hang on, you’re telling me she’s been released, right?”
“Well, she wouldn’t have broken out, would she?”
“Prison Break.”
“Season 2.”
The fact that Arlie and Dory knows Prison Break and Season 2 of Prison Break leads me to believe they watched it with Deluge or something and Shadow Gale during their stint at that hideout. Which is both cute and amazing.
Her height was 170cm, and her face seemed so mature. She had trimmed natural blonde hair that reached her shoulders. She had fair skin, blue eyes, and a European Magical Girl name. But unlike Arlie and Dory, her Japanese was very fluent. Thunder General Adelheid made a warm smile and waved her right hand.
THUNDER GENERAL ADELHEID!!!! Now this is one Magical Girl I’m going to keep an eye out throughout Black.
“Hmm, it seems you’ve heard the rumors.
“About the PRISONER!? YEAH YEAH, WE DID!” replied Wrappy Tip while violently headbanging.
My opinion of Wrappy shot up due to her violent headbanging.
“For now, I shall treat her as if she were kin. However, I do feel like she may quarrel with Mepis.”
Little did I know, this was the understatement of the year.
She hadn’t changed one bit. Her appearance had changed, now wearing glasses and braids, but her personality hadn’t. Despite being seemingly literary and well-read, this girl was surprisingly quick to anger, and felt more like a gangster. When she was in elementary school, it didn’t matter if it were boys or even seniors, she picked a fight with everyone—mostly people she found annoying. The Daifugo card game during her lunch break was cancelled early because she had a tantrum for losing, and the teachers couldn’t handle her, so they just banned her from bringing cards at all.
Okay Mepis is going to be a fun ride when she finally does get a POV and dialogue. That being said, the glasses girl was one of my secondary and tertiary guesses for Mepis solely because a winky face human is a little too obvious. It’s hilarious how so out of personality her human self looks from her Magical Girl self though.
Tetty Goodgripp had been chosen to become their Class Rep. Still, group two’s problems should be solved by group two. Thinking about it though, it seemed their leader was Mepis Pheles, and considering how their leader was the one itching for a fight, there was no way they could solve any problems whatsoever on their own.
The consistent opinion among these girls seems to be “Mepis is not going to be a good time”
When she looked at Miss Lille, she saw that she seemed almost pale, as if saying “I’m sorry for what you’re about to endure”. Wrappy meanwhile was just waving both her hands in the air as if saying “HI GUYS! WE’RE TALKING ABOUT YOU!”
Wrappy shoots up yet again in the best Black characters rank, though so far everyone’s off to a great start personality-wise.
Dory meanwhile was grabbing her spear and was bonking Arlie in the head repeatedly. Arlie looked sad, but Dory kept bonking.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT!? WHY?
These two looked like they came in a set, yet most of the time, they kept on fighting each other. It’s hard to tell if they were actually close with each other or not.
So do they actually just hate each other? That’s hilarious.
☆ Halna Medhi Melen
a mage? Oh boy. And a new one too. Side note, I really love how we can just determine mages from their ridiculous names. Mana, why isn’t your name so ridiculous?
Calcolo may be a talented Mage herself, but she was far from mature, so she’d make a horrible teacher.
GASP!!!! CALCOLO’S A MAGE MAGICAL GIRL!!!!! AAAAAAAAA!!!! We’ve heard this being possible in Breakdown and F2P but this is our first main series character to BE one.
Halna glanced at her own pointed ears
First off. Elf. Secondly, how the hell do you glance at your own ears???
The cause of the Calcolo’s nervousness was 20% Magical Girl and 80% Calcolo’s timid personality.
Oh Calcolo’s gonna be a favorite. She’s like 7753′s personality mixed with Kuru-Kuru Hime’s job.
“My name is Halna Medhi Melen. I am the supervisor of this school. This is Calcolo Callumph. She’s your homeroom teacher. Her Magical Girl name is Calcolo.”
Callumph is such a nice last name, but why is your Magical Girl name literally your actual name, Calcolo? Didn’t you learn from Nokko-Chan and Akane?
Also the entire section of this part was just Halna raging at Kana as Kana innocently answers questions was the best. Calcolo’s boss is much angrier than 7753′s was for sure, and that makes for a brand new flavor of “depressed office worker Magical Girl”, of which there are so many in MGRP.
Since being assigned to Class 2-F, there has been no day where Calcolo didn’t feel pain and agony. What kind of a teacher has no mood for classes, or any abilities, or just seems to complain whenever there’s an event? Why did she have to make up a rule to ban cards during lunch? Why can’t the kids just get along?
I knew I’d love her. She literally has 7753′s personality about her job.
She remembered her first day as a teacher, when she was determined to be the best teacher she could be. She opened the door and saw a girl with a mohawk and tattoos on half her face like she was from the feudal age. That’s when she thought “Yeah. No. I don’t think this’ll work out.”
Hey, I’m sure Diko didn’t mean anything bad by it. That being said this made me laugh so much and got Calcolo even higher on my best characters list.
Her bloodline can be traced back to one of the Three Sages, Shayn Osk Val Mer, and not only that, her proficiencies are on the level of specialists. She has eyes that could peer through the essence of others, and has a fierceness that enables her to make decisions without hesitation. She had pointed ears and heterochromatic eyes, which seemed an anomaly even for Mages
So, does this mean Osk had children? Also, is this where elves came from? Her heterochromatic eyes are also shared by Puk.
There’s like an entire section dedicated to how the school is just a proxy war between the factions and I love how they’re still scrambling at each other despite not physically having the capabilities to.
For now, they focused on finding any Mage who can transform into a Magical Girl. Thus, the spotlight shone on Calcolo, the girl who studied day and night to become an authority on criminology. Oh, and she can transform into a Magical Girl too.
I like how her degree was used first. This makes Calcolo sound like Buzz Lightyear during his Mrs. Nesbitt phase in Toy Story 1.
“Aren’t you forgetting something?”
“No? What’d I forget?”
Her expression, or lack of, felt like she’s not really judging her or being mad, but Calcolo felt like she was going to dive into a pit of something much much worse.
“Well, classes are divided into two sections. General Education, and Magical Girl Education. Gen Ed classes will be taken in your human forms, and Magical Girl Classes in your Magical Girl form.”
“Okay,” Kana said, pulling her chair out and standing up.
Oooh boy, I’m gonna love Kana’s interaction with everybody if she keeps this up. She’s not exactly clueless, but everyone else thinks she’s an idiot. Which I can’t blame. She looks kinda dumb.
Basically, if Calcolo reported any problems with Kana, worst comes to worst, Halna will pick a fight with Caspar.
I enjoy the fact that Calcolo basically said “If I report Kana, I may indirectly cause a war with Caspar. Nope.”
“Your clothes-”
“It’s the school uniform.”
“No, I know. I just meant, parts of them are torn.”
“It’s to make it easier for me to move in.”
I didn’t notice this at the time, but my editor pointed out that she basically ripped the “unrippable” clothes. Kana what are you?
Well, those are my initial thoughts on it. When I first read chapter one, I was super intrigued at how the school worked, and what Halna and Calcolo’s plans are for it. It seems I was mistaken that the school was a Pythie-run thing, but I do think Pythie is using Kana in some way. I also think Kana’s potentially related to the third Sage, Caspar herself. Time will tell how this plays out.

Rules
General:
I’m AU, OC, crossover and multi-verse friendly and I’m open to many plot ideas. I’m happy if you DM me with any idea you have. I am Semi-Selective and we don’t have to be mutuals to interact. However, what I do look for in blogs is if the mun is 18+ due to the nature of Danganronpa and what the game is like. Also you should have a rules page, somewhere with your age and there will have to be some way our muses can interact.
Disclaimer: Of course Kokichi’s sprites are from the game and not mine.
Rules:
NSFW - While I am of age, 21, I won’t be going into any smut related topics on the blog as it makes me feel uncomfortable. I will however go into triggering content from time to time which I will be sure to tag where I can. If I miss one, let me know!
No godmodding - this should go without saying but I’m putting it here anyway just in case. Doing this and making my character do things on your accord takes all the fun out of it! So please, don’t do this!
Give me time to reply - I try to reply as soon as I can. But if I don’t reply in a few days then I most likely need a break. If I reply to others and not you, then it means either I need a break from that thread or I haven’t got ideas for the time being. But I will always get around to it. Give me a week and then you can ping me a notification to drop me a reminder. It might usually take to a month or longer at times due to my motivation and uni work getting in the way but I will never drop anything without warning. If you continue to pester me for replies, I will softblock you.
IMs - never be afraid to hit me with a plot thread or just to talk OOC. I’m always for it, I’ll try to get to you as soon as but I may not always available so keep that in mind.
Reblogging - Please don't reblog things from me unless you're a mutual. If you're involved with a thread you can reblog that thread and you can reblog ask memes from me if we're mutuals. I don't expect reblog karma but I would appreciate if you didn't constantly reblog memes from me without sending something in.
Dropping threads - It’s fine if you want to. I get it if you do but PLEASE tell me. I’m fine if you want to drop something, I get it but I’m a very nervous bean when it comes to asking about threads and will wait months before poking you, so please tell me if you dropped it or not or I will be nervous to approach you for that thread when we can go and do other things and it can take it off my mind.
Crossovers - Adding this to reassure people that I LOVE crossovers. If I feel comfortable with the fandom you’re in, I’m all for doing a crossover if I can find a way how to do it!
Spoilers - This blog will contain spoilers due to the use of a canon character and use of lore inside the media for his development.
Drama - I’m not getting involved in any drama, this blog is hate free and I won’t be made to pick a side. I want to keep this a safe space not only for myself but for others as well. This is a place I want to spread positivity and have fun with others, so please keep in mind that I don’t want to be involved in it.
Shipping - I am open to shipping but I would prefer discussion beforehand before we ship anyone. I like to develop ships in an rp or ooc but I still want the communication for the ship to happen.
OCs:
I am OC friendly but I do like to see a bio of your character before roleplaying with them. This is so I can see how they are and how I can work around this. It helps me figure out how I can integrate my muse into the situation but also determine if your muse is fit to roleplay with mine. As some things can clash too much. In a bio, I am not picky about what is in it as long as it has their personality and their backstory in detail.
Triggers:
My two main triggers are:
Needles - descriptions, photos, videos etc.
Bugs - any insect or bug
There may also be triggering things on my blog. I will do my best to tag them or put it under a ‘read more’ if I feel it could be badly triggering. If I forget to add a trigger in a tag, please let me know! This is so I would know not to repeat the mistake again since I want this to be fun for everyone.
About Mun:
Heyo, I’m Gally, I go by they/he pronouns. I am an awkward silly bean who loves to roleplay, write and hurt my characters. I love talking to new people and I love reading what other people write. Don’t be afraid to approach me because I am a very nice and welcoming person!
I’m 21 and in University so my activity might be dependant but since I spend all my time on the internet, most chances are that I’ll be around on Tumblr doing stuff with the blog or available to talk! I’m in England so my timezone is GMT if anything comes up to my activity.

changing it up
hey y’all, it’s me back at it again with a general update, but this time it’s about this blog and the future of its content. if you’re interested to see how things will be changing, keep reading below!
so yet again I’ve taken a break from tumblr because I just haven’t had the energy for it, and I just keep wondering why this site can’t hold my interest any more. it’s been a LONG time since I’ve been consistently active, which is weird because I feel like I always have a good experience whenever I pop on here for a few minutes.
to be honest, I think it’s because I’ve been afraid to actually post anything other than RTAH content, even though I’ve posted in the past about getting into new fandoms and not really watching as much RTAH content anymore. I’ve kept up the RTAH-centric style since the very beginning of this blog, and I think I was afraid nobody was going to like the stuff I posted anymore if I switched it up.
but then I realized, who cares? it’s MY blog. while there’s always going to be a special place in my heart for RTAH, I just don’t have the energy to watch it anymore. I’ve made great friends that I hang out with online daily, and I’ll either play video games or watch anime with them instead of consuming RTAH content.
so here’s my “official” announcement that I’m changing up my blog. will I still post RTAH? sure. will I post other anime/video game stuff? yes. my blog is a reflection of me, so it’s changing with me. if it’s not your cup of tea anymore, I completely understand and thank you for hanging with me for so many years. if you do like it, I’m so happy to continue to have you with me!
here are some fandoms I’ve been into recently that I will probably show up on my blog more frequently, alongside RTAH:
my hero academia
danganronpa
genshin impact
given
sk8 the infinity
jujutsu kaisen
houseki no kuni
tokyo revengers
attack on titan
persona
and if you’re just getting into any of these fandoms, I ALWAYS tag my spoilers (usually in as many ways as I can think of) so you don’t have to be afraid of getting anything spoiled by following me!
thank you so much for all of your love and support over the past 8 years!! here’s to growth and new beginnings❤️

Here Lies Dreaded V3 Discourse
So I have seemed to cause a huge kerfuffle in the hardcore Ouma conspiracy theorists standom, and a banal (if condescending, but seeing the response to it honestly justifies it more than anything now. “Don’t dish it out if you can’t take it”, you better believe I can take it and will now PROPERLY dish it out right back at you) comment about one of Tsumugi’s anime references has led to someone launching a hilariously personal attack at me for Daring To Disagree With A Theory That Was Posted On A Public Website. Someone who I wasn’t even initially responding too, at that. And has now blocked me before even allowing me to respond and clarify my original comments. Don’t want to deal with the consequences of being a repugnant, rude person I guess? Shock and surprise for Tumblr.
The link to the post is here, but I’ve taken the liberty to screenshot it just in case it gets deleted later, in hope that maybe there’ll be some reflection on this person’s part that this really is not an acceptable way to respond to people who have a dissenting opinion? Anyways, I will be responding to the personal attack post and that will be the last time I interact with this group, because clearly it’s not worth it to actually have a discussion about our respective ending theories. I ain’t got time beyond this for tedious insecure fucks these days.
Anyways, my response is under the cut to save my poor followers’ dashes. Sorry to drag drama onto my blog but I can’t really let this slide. I’m also tagging @jacks-plays-drv3 just because I assume the twin comes with the other with these two, and I want my response to have been seen.
Screenshot In This Link - This post is long enough without the image taking up more space, haha.
Let’s start with this mess, shall we? And I will go into painstaking detail.
Paragraph 1: So this already starts off with a whole lot of needless aggression and projection. So I’m not even going to attempt to be nice back. But: maybe I haven’t proven anything because I literally had not typed up a response to clarify my original comments @ Jacks yet before the rabid attack dog was unleashed? Like, there was literally no attempt from you to have a discussion that was a genuine offer from me, I was not out to get you actually. I also honestly just laughed at being called shallow, JUST LIKE THAT HORRIBLE CHARACTER TSUMUGI SHIROGANE right off the bat as well. That’s a compliment really, honey. Weirdly I don’t share the same opinions as you do. Tsumugi is my fave and unlike you I actually think about and HAVE analyzed/discussed her character in detail previously, which I would’ve been happy to share had you not immediately went into Blind Raging Idiot Mode. Guess we can’t have it all, huh?
As for needing proof that she makes the Flashback Lights... nevermind the CG that literally shows her making them during Chapter 6, but do you have proof that Monokuma is the person who makes the Lights instead of just placing them for the students? I doubt it, somehow. Cuz a lot of your theories don’t actually have any concrete proof. Quelle surprise. Probably why anyone not immediately on board with your headcanon gets you so goddamn angry, huh? Cuz it’s completely baseless and you know it at heart.
As for the Ouma comments, actually I have read the assorted creator comments regarding his character even if you like to believe I’m a slobbering moron who turned my brain off as soon as I finished V3, so yes I already know that his name was chosen to sound mastermind-like. Maybe this was to emphasize and make his fake mastermind reveal appear more legit on first read? JUST A THOUGHT, SWEETIE. You know the entire fucking point of Chapter 5? You’re so slavishly devoted to your theory that you actually are incapable of reading the basic fucking text from the actual game, but again. Not a surprise. Considering what I’ve read from your blog (really, who are you again? I only knew Jacks’ blog from before all this, so you taking such a personal offense at my comments is honestly hilarious but baffling at the same time. It ain’t all about you, babe.)
As for the lab door, here’s an simpler explanation (Occam’s Razor, look it up): The star sign constellation pattern was there as a hint for the player to connect Ouma’s messages from his dorm room to the vault in Amami’s lab once its opened and you can see the star signs in there. Or perhaps it was designed like that by TDR to make the students make that connection as well in the original script and think that Ouma was the mastermind cuz of the connection to Amami’s lab? Literally, there are a lot of possibilities, cuz it’s a NOTHING DETAIL THAT DOESN’T ACTUALLY MATTER IN THE BIG PICTURE. Considering Kodaka’s track record with writing these games I don’t actually believe it’s anything major, personally. He doesn’t really strike me as the type to hide this completely separate story underneath the actual story we got, and with such vague nothing “”””””””””””clues””””””””””””. You and Jacks do yourselves (well you already do cuz you love to jack yourselves off with how CLEVER AND BETTER you are than the rest of us plebs), sure, in believing otherwise (You have way too much faith in him as a writer. Or you’re desperately trying to pretend V3 wasn’t poorly written cuz you don’t like the Ch. 6 twist) but also realize that its nothing more than extrapolation on your part that it actually means anything beyond the.... SHALLOW (horror scream) connection given in-game.
And really, who the fuck cares if it doesn’t match the title of ‘Supreme Leader’? It’s already a ridiculous talent as it stands already. The entire point of his character is that everything about him, his motives and his talent is contradictory and weird. That’s why I like him, actually. He isn’t an abused martyr who never lies like you goons believe and he also isn’t the evil monstrous chessmaster some of the fandom thinks. It’s Complex Motives™ .
Anyways moving on. Pointing out an anime reference =/= DISREGARDING PEOPLE’S ANALYSIS. Pointing out that most of the plot leads up to and supports the fiction twist =/= uncritically agreeing with everything Tsumugi says. Actually, after examining the game’s story for myself I came to the conclusion that all the clues in it really only support her version of the story, really. There are a few things I think she lied about, but it is not CONCLUSIVELY proven she lied in my opinion and so I don’t really give a fucking toss until new canon comes out and reveals more of the V3 story. Oumatwin don’t real, gurl. If there was actually anything in-game beyond one obvious joke line in the NON-CANON!!!!!!! bonus mode supporting that he existed, maybe I’d respect your theory more. Even though you don’t deserve respect after your little tantrum.
Paragraph 2: Jesus I already am investing way too much time into this response at people who don’t actually deserve it, oh well. But laughing hard at the attempt to try and act as if you weren’t being a snobby asshole with your comments. Again, HUGE AMOUNTS OF PROJECTION at me about things I literally have never done and said. I have never interacted with you or Jacks prior to my initial comment. No fucking clue why you brought up the SaiOuma shit, cuz I don’t even LIKE Saihara as a character and don’t like that fujobait ship in the slightest? But I guess it’s easier to assume that all your critics are the exact same fucking person with the same opinions, so you can feel more persecuted, huh? You literally did not even wait for me to respond or check my blog that would’ve easily disproven these dumb-as-fuck assumptions. And get off the fucking high horse (pun completely intended), you lot are not the only people in this fandom who are capable of critical thought. How completely self-obsessed can you be?
For someone who claims to have a lot of critical thinking skills compared to this nasty fandom, you really are terrible at parsing other people’s words. You fucking know when I said “group of anime fans” that I was referring to Team Danganronpa, the organization literally mentioned in game as running the game. The group Tsumugi is part of. She literally has a company badge FFS. THEY ARE ANIME FANS. THEY ALL STARTED KILLING GAMES CUZ THEY ALL LOVE THIS SHITTY SERIES. I can’t believe this had to be explained. And the rest of this paragraph word salad is the most pedantic argument. It’s really not hard to believe an organization in this series would have access to all this tech. And yes, it’s a popular TV show in-universe, of course it’ll have funding. And the whole damn point of the ending is that the V3 world is consuming fiction the wrong way by having real-life killing games, missing the entire point of the DR series and fiction in general? What’s your actual point?
Paragraph 3: Again more assumptions, I wasn’t ‘crying’ about being called gullible. I was just pointing it out as part of your extremely unnecessary smug dismissal of my post. That you really haven’t disproved at all, btw. Honestly the childish response you both had to me just makes me laugh out of pity more than anything. And if I was really upset I wouldn’t have offered to have a discussion with you or even continued to reply after Jacks initial (vague) post about what I said. So don’t put words in my mouth. And yes my analysis was not completed in my initial comments. It’s Tumblr fucking replies, I can’t fit the entire fucking dissertation of Tsumugi opinions in there for you to jeer at in there. Again, I offered to share my opinions and got this as a response, so lol. You are your own worst enemy when it comes to trying to get people to take you and your theories seriously.
Paragraph 4: Especially since you immediately jump to PULLING THINGS OUT OF YOUR ASS (seriously, fucking snorted at this part. I want this whole diatribe on my fucking gravestone. It’s by far the most hilariously petty thing ever said about me on this site.) instead of letting me explain my position. If you just want to be in the creepy cult Oumatwin echo chamber you should’ve just said and blocked me ASAP instead of word salading vague bullshit justifications for why actually people who disagree with you are just stupid crybabies who can never hope to understand your genius. Again, my initial comments didn’t whine about not being taken seriously at all, I was pointing out the hypocrisy/rudeness is all. And again, get off the high horse about critical thinking. I have thought about Tsumugi’s character and how she relates to the over-arching plot and how truthful it is, and the overall ‘mystery’ of V3 (spoiler: there is none. it was all solved by chapter 6). I have thought about this game. In fact I dedicate too much time to critical analysis of this series that doesn’t actually deserve it cuz lately I find Kodaka to be a hack writer. Your assumptions are flat-out wrong, dear. And AGAIN. I WOULD’VE. SHARED AND DISCUSSED IN MORE DETAIL HAD I BEEN GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY. But rude fucks gonna vomit shit out of their mouth cuz they have literally no self-control and have meltdowns at the slightest difference of opinion, I guess.
Your extreme hatred for Tsumugi as a character truly shines through. Clearly no thought has been put into her from your end, even though you and Jacks rage about people not taking Ouma seriously as a character. Double standards as always with fujos. Nothing I’m not used too, she is incredibly unpopular in this fandom. And everyone is entitled to their own opinions. So I’m not even mad at that. I have never said otherwise. Even you and Jacks are valid in having your own theories and thoughts. The ending of V3 is designed entirely so everyone can analyze the game for themselves and draw their own conclusions about the story and themes. That’s the whole point. Even though I personally dislike that as a writing decision on Kodaka’s part because I would prefer the story to be conclusively ended and the epilogue is a giant turd that misses the entire point of Chapter 6 and enables shit (anal pun intended, dumbass) like this to start spreading as “Analysis”. But hey, to each their own.
However I will not be interacting with either of you again after this post though, even though I was willing to discuss beforehand, because you both have shown yourselves to be incredibly vile with the way you approach other people in this fandom, and especially those who don’t share your conspiracy theory. Despite the absolutely ironic comments I’ve seen from Oumanous in their later, also terrible posts about how you need to understand your opponent before engaging, which they literally failed entirely to do before engaging the firing squad at me and other commentators who responded. So much for the sanctity of discussion, huh? Enjoy your circlejerk. Everyone else who follows me in this fandom though? Please consider blocking these two if you are also a sane human being who is capable of polite discussion/disagreements. They are not worth your time otherwise. They were really not worth my time writing this post, but I felt I had to say something.
In conclusion: Out with the both of you.

Rules
Feel free to focus on bolded sections to skim for the subject of every bullet point. I’m way too wordy, but I just want to be informative. I’m not actually very strict or demanding!
How I Play:
I am semi-private and semi-selective. What this means is that people I’m following are free to interact with me in any way, IC or OOC. People who I do not follow are still totally free to follow me. They can send in asks about/to my muse either IC or OOC or ask about my thoughts on Danganronpa topics, but I am probably uncomfortable speaking OOC in DMs about RP or doing any kind of plotting. Non-mutuals can also send in starter memes, but they would be one-off types of interactions (meaning no growing relationship) and might not be continued very far in a thread. Feel free to message me with questions if this description isn’t making sense to you.
I may not follow back for myriad reasons all regarding my personal preferences (characterization choices, writing style/ability, frustrating blog layout, missing rules/info, etc). Please do not take this personally. If this happens, you are still welcome to initiate interaction with me in the above-mentioned ways!  Also, if I do follow back, I definitely want to RP with you!
I will likely unfollow and decline to interact if you have too much OOC drama / anti behavior / fandom hate / bullying / callouts / discourse / politics / worldview on your blog. I repeat, I do not support callout culture.
This blog is not spoiler free. I have seen the playthroughs of all major Danganronpa games as well as much of the lesser-known content, and my posts will contain any such information without warning.
When Ouma is speaking, I have him adhere to Japanese customs to refer to others, meaning he will often use last names and honorifics when applicable from Japanese canon (to the best of my knowledge, which isn’t expansive or perfect).
I have depression as well as performance/social anxiety, and I am in college full-time. My moods, levels of inspiration/motivation, and availability will vary widely. I know that is inconvenient, sorry! So in general, I don’t push myself to be prolific, and can be slow at responding. I may drop a thread due to general anxiety (not necessarily related to the thread), lack of ideas, or loss of inspiration, my deepest apologies. Don’t feel bad and DO feel free to continue interactions with my muse in the future!
I am willing to play dark scenes including gore/violence, angst, horror, abuse, torture, my character’s death, etc., and there will likely be disturbing or mature content like that on this blog. Content warnings will be tagged with “cw:” followed by the label.
I choose to write sexual scenes. I reserve the right to portray non-platonic relationships and anything that entails, as well as potentially darker, unhealthy scenes and relationships (all with consent from the other mun, of course). However, I respect those who do not want to see or roleplay sex, will never push said people to do so, and will keep explicit sexual content under a ‘read more’, tagged “smut”. I expect to be treated with similar respect for my choice in written subject matter.
I only roleplay smut with muns who are above the age of consent. Please do not attempt if you are under age 18.
IC ≠ OOC, muse ≠ mun. As I am a sensible human being, the thoughts and actions of my muse that I write or witness are not necessarily ones I would support or agree with.
What I Appreciate:
I am a huge fan of thorough communication. If you are planning on attempting to kill or torture my muse, it would be nice for some notification of this (either in the post/tags or in a message) at least one post beforehand.
Let me know if something I’m doing in a thread with you is making you uncomfortable. I myself am comfortable with exploring some very dark themes. I will do my part to check your blog rules, and I apologize if I am ever forgetful about anything mentioned.
Please let me know if any part of my blog layout/organization is frustrating or dysfunctional on your screen or in your experience, and feel free to point out any major typos you see as well.
Please try to refrain from controlling my muse’s thoughts and actions (unless you have an IC ability to do so; ask me).
Please try to remember to start a new post instead of reblogging an ask post over and over. It makes things look neater and more organized.
I would be so grateful if multimuse blogs could tag the muse they are using in their posts. This helps me filter out the inevitable multitude posts on my dash that will not be relevant to my muse or even fandom and keeps it from becoming absolute chaos. Obviously it’s your blog, and I’m not here to tell you what to do, but this prevention of inconvenience will make me somewhat more likely to follow you.
Please do not steal my original (detailed) headcanons or icons or use images in posts tagged “My Edits” without my permission. If you’re not sure, ask me; I promise I won’t bite for such a question.
What Is Acceptable:
People I am following, always feel free to tag me in posts, send me an ask / DM, or communicate in our RP thread if you have something to say or ask. Or if you just have a random comment! Seriously, anything.
People I am not following, honestly, if you’re not sure whether or not it is acceptable to interact with me in a certain way, and you try to interact with good or neutral intentions, I’m not going to be hostile or scary. If I’m not interested, I might not respond due to social awkwardness. Know that if this happens, I don’t want you to have hurt feelings; I appreciate your willingness to have wanted to interact with me.
It never hurts to follow me to see if I am interested in following back! At the very least, I am flattered for being considered.
If it seems like I’ve forgotten about a thread or neglected to respond and you really want to continue it, feel free to message me to remind/ask about it.
Let me know if there is something you want tagged, and I will try to accommodate with what I see as reasonable.
I am 100% cool with us engaging in more than one thread at once. Do it!
All starter/ask memes/prompts on my blog are open all the time, no matter how old. Feel free to browse the tag and send in something you like! I would only request that you try to include the title of the post/collection in your ask so I can find it more easily.
I accept some OCs and characters from other fandoms but can be picky about them. It would be nice to be able to find some background info on them on your blog. For characters from other fandoms, I will be much more likely to follow if they have a Danganronpa verse included in their description, but you can pitch me a different proposition if you have one. Try not to take it personally if it turns out I’m not interested in following.
I am sometimes okay with roleplaying total AUs (as in, a completely different setting), but it is not my default preference. The best way to go about seeing if I’m interested would probably be to message me.
As this is also just a general purpose Ouma fan blog, all types of blogs (aside from spam/porn and antis) are free to follow, like my posts, and reblog non-RP-related posts.
Thanks a bunch for slogging through this!

They can send in asks about/to my muse either IC or OOC or ask about my thoughts on DR-topics, but I am probably uncomfortable speaking OOC in DMs about RP or doing any kind of plotting.
Huge pet peeves of mine. I repeat, I do not support callout culture.
This blog is not spoiler free. I have seen all major canon content related to my muse and then some. I relinquish the responsibility of tagging or otherwise warning for spoilers.
I will not be recognizing Danganronpa V3 as canon. I have not seen or played the game in its entirety, but I have read its general overview and ending and don’t care about spoilers. I play the Danganronpa series as non-fiction within its universe. If somebody wants to interact with me with a V3 character, they are welcome, as I don’t begrudge the characters themselves, but it will have to be some kind of AU in which the events of DR1-3 actually occurred.
When Togami is speaking, I have him adhere to Japanese customs to refer to others, meaning he will be using last names. If you use first names, he will act like this is normal but continue to use my method in my posts. If this is awkward or jarring to you, let me know, and I can probably accommodate.
