The Parent Trap (Biadore) [Chapter 5] - Henny
A/N: Okay, so I may have cheated here a bit and probably in the next chapter, too? So, let’s just assume that unless stated, all chapters set inside camp has one week in between them where the twin hate each other so they just ignore each other.
I hope you guys don’t mind! The chapter where Danny and Roy enter is getting closer and I’m getting super anxious to write it hihihihih.
Anyway, if there are any grammatical errors, forgive me?
Enjoy!!

The following day, Nerissa had her revenge all figured it out, spending most of her free time to plan it properly. It was genius! Okay, maybe not original, but genius nonetheless. Ironically, the idea came from a movie where the girl was in the exact same scenario as she was in; doppelgänger and all that. However, she was sure that it wasn’t going to end the same. Her dad was gay, so there won’t be any rekindling and matchmaking of any sort.
That same night, Nerissa had gathered her cabin mates in her bunk.
“Okay, so here’s the plan.” She said, grabbing her notebook and a pen. She drew a box, a mimic of the other girl’s cabin. She also spent the entire day following Portia around, learning her schedule and other information she might need to use.
“We strike them next week.” Nerissa started,
“Why next week?” Aaron asked.
“It gives them enough time to think we’re not planning anything, catches them off guard.” She snickered before continuing.
“The whole cabin is usually empty by 9AM, so that’s why you’ll break in around 9:20… Just to be safe. Since most of our campmates are in their activities, you can sneak in and out without getting caught. I’m putting Alex and Aaron into separate teams and as team captains. Aaron, you and your team is in charge of carrying their stuff outside of the cabin. Put it anywhere you like just make sure it gets very dirty. Alex, you and your team is in charge of getting markers and vandalizing the stuff Team Aaron leaves behind. I’m not feeling too evil, so if it seems valuable, like a diary or something, pictures– leave it. Use whiteboard marker as well, I’m a bitch, but I’m not Satan, I want them to be able to clean it up after but make clean up hard. Now, pick your team!” Nerissa finished, glancing at everyone to see if they managed to take in their tasks. Aaron and Alex jumped up and began picking their team members in random order.
“Wait, what are you gonna do?” Alex asked as she started to grab a few of the markers provided in their cabinet.
“That’s a good question. I’m going to fire her up, beat her in any competition or activities she’s good, so she knows I’m not someone she can mess with.” Nerissa answered with finality.

True to her word, Nerissa managed to ask the councillors to move her activities the next day. So as of the week, she has the same schedule as Portia, who didn’t seem so happy to see her the whole day, but managed to not say anything.
The cold shoulder brush off lasted for six days until Nerissa managed to beat Portia the 6th time that week. Most of the battles were difficult, singing, dancing, swimming, improv acting, memorization, and painting, but Nerissa managed to beat Portia every time. It drove Portia crazy that at one point, she just exploded.
“YOU’RE DOING THIS ON PURPOSE!” She screamed after Nerissa received her award for best painting.
Nerissa smiled at her, face etched with mirth. Her plan was set today and her friends had already managed to execute their revenge by the time Portia and her group friends head back to their cabin.
“Me?” Nerissa asked in mock-innocence, a hand pressed to her chest.
“WHO ELSE, BITCH?” Portia fumed, Taffy holding her back from hitting the girl.
“Pray tell, what am I doing on purpose? Being better than you? Honey, please, don’t hurt yourself by thinking I’m doing that on purpose.” Nerissa said with a straight face and walked away.
Portia let out a scream, thankfully concealed by the thick trees around her.
“Porshe, you have to calm down. She’s just trying to rile you up, and if you allow yourself to get riled up, she’s going to win.” Taffy pointed out, hugging the angry girl to calm her down.
“I know that! But, fuck! This is a competition and IT’S FUCKING ANNOYING BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT SHE’S NOT PAYING ANYONE! SHE’S GENUINELY JUST BEATING ME! FAIRLY! I just… I have so much to prove to my dad, okay? And, I feel like I’m not making him proud and now I have to deal with that witch.” Portia ranted, tears rimming her eyes before she collapsed on Taffy to let them out.
“Ooh, poor babe. Come on, let’s get you to the cabin and take a nap till lunch.” Taffy cooed, stroking her friend’s hair.
“Yeah, that sounds great.” Portia sniffed and broke away from Taffy and started walking towards the path to their cabin. There was a comfortable silence as the walk inside the forest, the crunch of the rubble under her shoes made Portia relax a bit and smiled when she encountered a puddle to jump in.
“Oh, what’s going on?” Taffy’s voice floated to Portia’s ears which made the girl look up from the ground. There was a murmur of voices, too, as they looked towards their cabin. A huge crowd had gathered, so they couldn’t see what was going on. They glanced at each other before they sprinted towards the crowd.
“Excuse me! Coming through! What’s wrong? Wha–” Portia stopped dead in her tracks. Saying that the place was a mess was an understatement. Clothes and garments were thrown on the muddy ground, a few of the furniture, like lamps and side tables were outside, but the real shocker was a bed on the roof– an actual bed.
“Oh my fucking hell! Porsche! Taf! Look at this!” Brian exclaimed as he peered through the door. The two girls ran inside, trying to avoid the objects around them. As soon as they entered the cabin, their jaws dropped. The whole place was vandalized with other words that aren’t supposed to be used by ten year olds.
The bed on the roof is now officially Portia’s as she saw the empty space where her bed used to be. She ran beside her dresser, heart slowing down as she sees the still intact photos of her family. She grabbed one of the frames, the one with her and Adore, and sat down on the ground.
“There’s no way she managed to pull this off of her own. She has fucking minions, I swear!” Taffy said harshly as she went through her stuff for damage control. Soon, their cabin mates entered with shocked faces as they rushed to their valuables.
Brian huffed as he leaned on the vandalized wall. “So, what now?” He asked.
Portia didn’t answer, but continued to cradle the picture frame in her arms as she spaced out. Brian and Taffy looked at each other, concerned about their friend. Brian pushed himself against the wall to stand up properly. The moment his body lost contact with the wall, from his peripheral vision, he saw a portion of clean wall. He reached out a hand to wipe the ink, only to find it gone as soon as his finger passed it.
“It’s whiteboard marker.” He noted out loud. Everyone’s heads perked up as soon as they heard it, and soon everyone got cloths and napkins to wipe away the vandalism on their wall. Portia also snapped out of her thoughts. She placed the frame back in its place and saw a piece of paper on the table.
“Payback is a bitch. N.”
“FUCK!” She exclaimed as she crumpled the piece of paper in her hands. Taffy rushed over to her.
“What is it?” She asked. Portia didn’t answer but passed the paper over to her. The girl read it quietly.
“What do we do now?”
“Now? I guess we have to get our stuff outside first. Throw them in the laundry, so we can dry it while the sun is still out. Then, I can find someone to bring down my bed.” Portia announced and everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
“Aren’t we going to tell the councillors?” One of her cabin mates asked. Portia smirked.
“Nope. I was thinking of giving them a taste of their own medicine.” She continued. Taffy shook her head in amusement before clapping her hands to get everyone’s attention.
“Come on, Guys! Operation clean up is still a go.” She announced.
