#detective conan#case closed#amv#my amvs#eye strain#heiji hattori#harley hartwell#conan edogawa#shinichi kudo#funimation english dub script#video#happy two-year anniversary to 'no thoughts just heiji hattori'!#while it's not my first amv (it's maybe my... fifth?)#it was the first one i made with davinci resolve and the amv that really got me into editing amvs for real#it's the amv that made me believe i could make amvs 🥺#and in remastering it i deeply understood how ambitious it was! i thought i did a lot of audio mixing for 'messed up'#but that's not even close to all the audio mixing i did here--cannot believe that i did all this for my first big amv project#it took about 20 hours *just* to remaster!#which is something i've been meaning to do for a while now so i'm very happy to finally share the results!#to make this a 'remaster' and not a 'redo' the only changes i tried to make were to the source footage and audio#video now uses almost entirely hd remastered footage from my blu-rays or netflix rather than my dvds#but oh gosh was it *hard* not to touch anything else! i'd do so many things differently now#but this video will always be really special to me (and i can't believe i did it at all tbh!)#i hope seeing it in hd is fun too! i'm so blown away by all the love this vid's gotten#and that it helped increase interest in funi's old english dub is amazing and 100% what i was trying to do with it!#thank you everyone for all the support <333 i wouldn't be the video editor i am today without this vid or your encouragement for it <3333#like the original the sources used are mostly from what funi dubbed (but mixed in hd by me!): eps 48-49 57-58 77-78 117 and 118 and movie 3#but i also used episodes 141-142 174 189 239 263 277 291 293 345 479 491 517 and 522#and ova 3 and tv special 6 (episode one) and movies 10 and 13 and ops 27 31 and 33 and the funi 5.2 dvd blooper for the one line lol#the song is 'you're stupid aren't you' by toshio masuda (from jubei-chan 2)

I started a comfort movie watch party the other day and I finally got round to finishing The LEGO Ninjago Movie again and GOSH <3 I love her so much I forgot how much it means to me she's actually so special <333
#i said SOMEWHERE in another post that the movie was my intro into Ninjago as a whole#which is why she's so special to me & i'll defend her with my life bc without it I never would have found the show#it was really odd tbh lmao - i watched a youtube video of “everything great about TLNM” & was like#“damn i NEED to watch that movie it looks so silly”#I proceeded to watch it like 10+ times in the span of 3 days? I got OBSESSED#went BACK to the YT vid and realised the guy talked about how “it was different to the series” which intrigued me to do some researching#and BAM found out about the show & IMMEDIANTLY started watching it & sending pictures to a friend who actually watched it as a kid#we proceeded to watch it together for a while before he kinda lost interest and i got more and more into it#and here we are now - he has NO idea whats happening in Ninjago & doesn't care while im cursed™ with knowledge#and i couldn't be more happy :)#anyway yeah thats why TLNM holds a special place in my heart & why no-one could ever taint it for me#is it a good movie? YES - in regards to being a LEGO movie - as a “Ninjago” movie? yeah she's funky - BUT. ive been watching sooo many vids of people doing doll restorations and doll customizations... making me both fight off the desperate urge to attempt New Hobby just because it Looks Fun and also resisting the urge to repurchase the fave barbie i had as a kid on ebay,,,,
#i dont have a job rn i dont need to be spending money on this kind of nostalgia for the latter lol#my fave was a SPECIFIC doll#well actually i had 2 faves but i think the other was like a generic one#but i specifically remember i had the 2001 nutcracker barbie + ken#who i guess were named clara and eric lol#idr if i had the kellys.... i did have a few kellys i just dunno if they were part of that set#i think i literally only had one ken doll. MAYBE two ? and one was the nutcracker guy#but his nutcracker head creeped me out so i never used it#i also think i fucked up his slicked back hair bc. well i was a child LOL#but i remember specifically those two bc of the creepy nutcracker head and bc clara had that special jointed body#since her whole thing was like the nutcracker ballet movie or w/e#and i loved the way her joints moved and clicked and her swooshy curly hair#but also when i was a kid i liked smearing makeup on my dolls LOL#so like. watching restoration and custom vids and seeing how people Actually pull that off in a more professional way#it awakens that inner childhood interest lol#and like i HAVE a lot of the supplies already for that. i have paints and pastels and a billion craft supplies ive accumulated over years#which makes it all the more tempting to buy a used doll off like ebay or a thrift store or something for funsies#that would be more affordable than trying to win a bid war for clara 😑 LOL#but i mean. if i do end up employed with a comfortable salary again someday#and if i have money to spare. perhaps i'd consider trying to get clara lol i know shes out there#but also im not willing to spend THAT much so i probs still wouldnt#tho maybe i can find one thats kinda fucked up and try to clean her idk . There's something very romantic about the outdoors...
#thinking abt how theres this specifc place near my house where i always go to take pics of the sky#and i probably have at leats one photo 'session' from every week(well every wk i was at home this yr lol)#and its always like a painting to me#it doesnt matter how many times i go there#every single time im astounded by it#and its nothing special but the sky is so vast and magnificent#and the colors are always great#even if its not near sunset or sunrise its still beautiful#and during the summer im nocturnal so i always run down there at the crack of dawn to take pics 😭#but now i take a lot of the sunset or pre-sunset ig#qnd even just mid day is pretty...#and right now theres geese migrating all the time but especially at this time of day#so going and standing there at staring at the sky and hearing the geese and going numb from the cold#its just...romantic to me ig#maybe i will edit smth w all my pics at the end of the yr FOR ME#but i took some vids of the geese flying across the blue and pink sky and it was all very picturesque#blah blah blah i am very sentimental and if i could take pics of eveyrthing i would 🥺#mayhe one day ill buy an actual camera lol#catie.rambling.txt
