Chapter 1:

When the Head Gamemaker’s baritone blared out overhead, naming you the victor of the First Quarter Quell, you literally collapsed into a heap on the blood soaked ground from a mix of exhaustion and happiness. Your eyelids drooped and the last thing you saw before you passed out was a pair of peacekeepers coming towards you.

When you woke up, you were in a sterile white room. A hospital room. You had drips and IVs connected to you along with some monitor that made beeping noises. Blinking to readjust your eyes to the brightness of the artificial light, you surveyed the room only to notice that sitting in a chair right next to your bed was none other then the head gamemaker himself. Coriolanus Snow.

“What are you doing here, Head Gamemaker Snow?” You curiously asked. Surely he had better things to do then be at your bedside. Like being home with his wife. Oh and you knew he was married because 1.) He was wearing a gold band on his ring finger and 2.) You've seen a dirty blonde woman his age on his arm in a few pictures of Victor's balls and such in the cheap Capitol rag mags that get circulated around District 12 to be used as tp by the poor and destitute. 

Staring you down with his icy blue eyes, he said, “I'm making sure that District 12’s first victor in 15 years survives.”

His words made a shiver run up your spine. It was common knowledge that District 12’s first and only victor (until now) had mysteriously vanished into thin air a few months after winning her games and returning home. Nobody dared talk about her. Her name was lost to the wind; she was a ghost that nobody paid any mind too. The fact that the head gamemaker wanted to make sure that you didn't die unnerved you. 

Surely you weren't in that bad of shape, were you? Swallowing a lump in your dry throat, you croaked out, “How bad of shape am I in, Head Gamemaker Snow?”

“Please, darling, call me Coriolanus or Coryo, if you'd like.” The platinum blonde, who looked a bit sleep deprived in his wrinkled button up (as if he'd slept in it) told you. “I insist.” He smiled. 

Him calling you darling and insisting that you call him Coriolanus or Coryo made your insides churn. It wasn't right. Why would he be so informal with you. He was the head gamemaker, a 33-year-old man from the Capitol, and you were just a victor, an 18-year-old girl from District 12. You two shouldn't be informal with each other.

“Oh, where are my manners? You must be thirsty. Let me get you some water.” Corio- no Head Gamemaker Snow lightly chastised himself while rising from his chair.

Crossing the room to a counter where a tray with a pitcher and glass were, he explained, “When the peacekeepers pulled you out of the arena you had collapsed from dehydration.” Pouring you a glass of water, he further explained, “Your vitals were very low and, in fact, you died once on your way here, but the medics brought you back.”

“What the hell? I died?...” You gasped, struggling to comprehend what you just heard. 

Head Gamemaker Snow appeared by your side and placed the water glass into your hand. A hand much smaller and weaker than his large calloused one. “Yea, but you were revived.” Sitting on the edge of your bed, causing it to dip, he motioned for you to drink. “I must have my Victor alive and well, so that's why I've been keeping watch over you, Y/N.”

His words should've made you see a red flag waving in the air, but it didn't. Maybe you were too young and naive to catch onto the true meaning of his words. Maybe they went right over your head because you were still weak, or maybe since you had a stalker back in 12 that you had convinced yourself was just a weird neighbor boy you didn't realize the true possessive meaning of Coriolanus’ words.

“Are you going to stay here now that I'm awake or?...”

“Unfortunately, I have to leave you here and go home.” He pouted. What the hell, he actually pouted? You had to admit that his plush lips looked very kissable when he pouted. Petting your hair, he gave you a reassuring smile. “Don't worry, darling, I've made sure that you'll be well taken care of by the best nurses that money can buy in the Capitol.”

What he didn't tell you was that he threatened the lives of the nursing staff’s loved ones if you so much as had a hair out of place. That was something you didn't need to know. Just like you didn't need to know that when he first laid eyes on you, in your best cotton floral dress; your hair pulled back with a ribbon for Reaping Day, he found you the most beautiful creature he'd ever laid eyes on and just had to claim you as his. Reason why, as the head gamemaker, he might or might not have screwed around with other tributes’ sponsor gifts and made sure you got a few things here and there that would ensure your survival. You had an innocence to you that he had the primal urge to consume. An innocence that was absent in the Capitol. An innocence and a beauty that he carved to have all to himself.

You just being you consumed him with a passionate obsession. One that he would act on soon. Very, very soon. He just needed to take care of his wife, Livia, so that he'd be free to make you his forever. But that wouldn't be hard, considering he was a master at making people drop dead from sudden food poisoning. 

Pressing a kiss to your hair, Corio- no Head Gamemaker Snow, promised, “I'll be back in the morning to check up on you before I'm needed at the Citadel.”

“You have to wrap up the game stuff don't you, Head Gamemaker Snow?” You asked, even though you were sure he'd say yes. In fact you didn't even know why you asked that. Maybe as a replacement for goodbye since you hated that word. 

Last time you said goodbye to somebody it was your mother and she took off with some officer, leaving you with your older half-brother Rein to take care of you both. He was 15 at the time and you were 5. Safe to say, you never used the word goodbye again in your life. 

“I told you, call me Coriolanus or Coryo.” He reminded you, not liking that you were still calling him by his title. “Yes, my darling rose, I must make sure that all the paperwork is in proper order for your prize money and the construction of your house in Victor's Village.” The platinum blonde man, who you just noticed has bags under his eyes, tiredly told you before pressing another kiss to your hair. Tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, he said, “You need to be a good girl and rest for me.”

You blinked at him. What? Be a good girl? And rest for him? Say what? Your brain was short circuiting at his words. Not just his words, but the way his baritone was both dominant and soft as he spoke them.

Pressing a kiss to your forehead, he simply said, “We'll talk more tomorrow. I promise.”

“Okay.” You nodded numbly, unable to comprehend what the hell was happening. You went like your head was spinning, as if you had too much moonshine. Hell, what had your time in the arena done to you?

Coriolanus gave you a pleased smile before rising from his spot on your bed and walking out of your room; making sure to close the door behind him. It was only after he was gone that you realized you were in a private room.

Coriolanus was fucking exhausted when he got home. He could barely keep his eyes open as he stepped out of his black sedan. After you were admitted to the hospital, he dismissed his driver and drove himself there. He didn't want the man to be waiting around on him while he stayed steadfast at your bedside, plus he was more than capable of driving himself home once he saw you open your beautiful eyes. What he wasn't expecting was for you to be asleep for over 24-hours. 

So, sleep deprived, Coriolanus walked into the townhouse he shared with his wife, Livia. The townhouse was a gift he received from Strabo and Ma Plinth once he announced his engagement, but he planned on putting it up on the market once he took care of Livia. He didn't want to bring you to this house that held nothing but hatred and misery in it.

No, he was going to bring you to his penthouse on the Corso. Now that's a proper place for you to live with him. In fact, he'd be telling you about your new residence tomorrow morning during your visit. Oh, he was so excited to tell you that you'd be staying in the Capitol with him. Of course, he'd use the excuse that since District 12 doesn't have a Victor’s Village and it must be constructed that he's arranged for you to use his Corso penthouse during the construction period.

It was a great plan. One that was foolproof. He just knew that you, being so young and innocent, would view his offer as one of help instead of one of ownership. Or, dare he say, love? Yes, love. He was sure that he was obsessively in love with you. It was a feeling he swore to never feel again, but yet again one just can't help who they fall in love with.

He always thought that marrying for hate instead of love or even tolerability would give him power, but truthfully all it gave him was a headache and a bad case of blueballs. Livia was a heinous bitch and was a cold fish in bed. She didn't like to fuck. What the fuck? Who doesn't like to fuck? Coriolanus thought that was absurd, unnatural even.

That's why he had to have affairs here and there; then turn the whores into avoxes to keep their mouths shut when he was done with them. What? He was a man after all and had needs. Needs that he knew you'd fulfill without any problems. With you he'd be faithful because you'd be his mind, body, and soul and would do anything for his love since you were so young. All he had to do was show you how in love *cough* obsessed *cough* he was with you and you'd be his forever.

Unknown to Coriolanus, the object of his marital hatred (Livia) was having an ongoing affair with one of the male avoxes in their household. An avox that had once been an equal of theirs in the Academy and the University, but crossed Snow the wrong way with a question about the songbird from 12. 

Coriolanus wasn't even to the stairs yet when he heard Livia’s screeching coming from the front sitting room. Great…seems like the bitch was waiting up for him. 

“Coriolanus, where have you been? The games ended and you never came home!” Livia demanded in a high pitch scream as her fuzzy heeled skippers clicked loudly against the hardwood floor as she ran out of the sitting room and into the main hall.

“Don't worry about where I was, Livia.” Coriolanus venomously gritted out as he made his way to the staircase.

“You're my husband, Coriolanus. I'm supposed to worry about where you've been.” Livia shrieked while following her husband. 

“I'm your husband when I don't come home, but when I'm home we have separate bedrooms and you come up with every excuse under the sun not to fuck me.” Coriolanus spat back as he tiredly trudged upstairs, feeling a migraine coming on from his wife's nagging. Oh, how he needed to poison that bitch yesterday.

“Your tastes in bed are not the same as mine, husband.” Livia said, placing special emphasis on the word husband, while following him upstairs. “You're too harsh for my taste, but that doesn't mean you can stay out for days on end with some whore.” 

All Coriolanus could see was red, like a raging bull, after hearing her remark. How dare she insult his prowess in bed? He knew how to fuck a woman and how to fuck her good; he never had any complaints either until he tied the knot with Livia. Damn bitch, won't fuck him and then insults his ability to fuck. Oh, yes, it was time for her to go. 

She outlived her usefulness. Livia couldn't give him the one thing he most desperately needed. An heir. What use did Coriolanus have for a woman that refuses to have his child? After a decade of hell with his wife, he was ready to cut his losses. He had control of her family's bank and the Plinths fortune, plus his status as Head Gamemaker and Senator along with his position on the War Council was more then enough to make him a successful candidate for president once the elder President Ravenstill kicked the bucket. He didn't need her for an heir anymore, not when he had you (you were young and fertile enough to give him litters of heirs).

Oh, Coriolanus knew exactly how to make up for never coming home after the games ended with Livia. Oh, yes, he did. 

“The victor, Y/N, from 12 was in bad shape and I had extra paperwork to do.” He smoothly lied to his dirty blonde wife as he set foot onto the second floor of his townhouse. Turning to look at her, he gave her a fake smile full of fake sympathy and offered, “How about I take you out to your favorite restaurant for dinner? The one that has that red wine you can't get enough of.”

“Yes, I accept your apology and dinner invitation. Just don't do this to me again, Coriolanus. We might hate each other, but I'm still your wife and deserve respect.” Livia told Coriolanus before taking off to her room, her robe billowing behind her.

Coriolanus smiled wickedly as he retired to his room. Oh, after tomorrow night he'd never have to deal with Livia ever again. He'd be free to have you all to himself, forever and always.

You were walking in the plains, tall prairie grass blowing in the wind. The deeper you walked in it, the more dread you felt. You couldn't describe the feeling, but you just knew that something was wrong. Then, suddenly, you heard a crunching sound behind you. Turning around, you saw the last tribute, a girl from 2, with a knife in her hand running towards you. 

You were exhausted and thirsty. The water you had been gifted from a sponsor had run out nearly a day ago, so you were feeling the effects of dehydration. You didn't know if you either didn't have a lot of sponsors or weren't getting any more water bottles because a water source was nearby somewhere, but you did know that it sucked you were dying of thirst.

But your thirst didn't matter now. Surviving the girl from District 2 did and you knew you wouldn't be able to fight her in the tall grasses. So you ran. You ran as hard and fast as your lightheaded feet would carry you.

It didn't take long until you were out of the tall grasses and on a barren field of cracked soil. You had a small pocket knife that was gifted to you, something you were sure cost a hefty penny since sponsor weapons were always pricey according to Lucky Flickerman’s game commentary.

Flipping the switchblade open, you turned around and headed straight towards the girl that had tripped and fell at the edge of the plains grasses and the dry bed of field soil. Lifting up your knife, you made to plunge it into her, only for her to look up at you with a sinister smirk and plunge her knife right into your neck.

Your eyes flew open as you screamed bloody murder. You died! You had died in your nightmare instead of being victorious. That nightmare shook you to your core. It frightened you so much that you screamed yourself hoarse, until your vocal cords were stripped. You were so frightened that you huddled in the corner of your room in a fetal position.

Nurses and other hospital staff tried to tend to you; get you out of the corner, but you just struggled and fought with them. You couldn't let them near you. What if they wanted to kill you? What if they hurt you? Your dream had shaken you up so bad that you weren't quite with it yet. You weren't in reality, you were stuck in your own head and afraid that somebody or something was going to get you. You were scared out of your wits. You were so scared that you cried. You weren't aware that you were crying, but the tear stains marred your hollowed cheeks like scars.

Coriolanus had only been asleep for an hour or so whenever he was awakened by a call from Capitol General Hospital. What the charge nurse told him made his heart clutch painfully. His victor, his darling rose, woke up terrified out of her mind and curled herself into a corner, screaming and crying her head off.

“She's having a nightmare about her time in the arena. Aren't you giving her anything to calm her down?” Coriolanus asked the nurse  he was on the phone with as he sat up in bed, flipping on his bedside lamp to softly illuminate his pitch black room in a golden glow of light.

“She won't let anyone near her and you did say to call you with any updates on her condition, sir “ The nurse hesitantly told him.

“I’ll be right there to sign her out since your hospital staff are incompetent and can't properly take care of a victor.” He told the nurse before hanging up on her.

It only took a few minutes for Coriolanus to dress and rush to the hospital. Despite being exhausted, you needed him and he wasn't going to let you down. You were his and he was going to take good care of you. He always took good care of his things. He did like his things to be perfect and if they weren't then he'd make sure that his favorite things were mended until they were perfect. You were his and he'd make sure that he made you perfect once more. Perfect for him, to be by his side as not just his Victor, but as his First Lady. His darling rose.

Dressed simply in a fitted white shirt and black pants, Coriolanus ran up the stairs to your floor and rushed into your room. The site of you curled up, tear tracks staining your cheeks, wide-eyed and afraid pulled at what little heartstrings were in his too small blackened heart. You looked like a wounded animal and he hates it. You were his victor, his darling rose, his future First Lady and he wanted you to recover your senses so that you could regain your strength; be all that he knew you were to him.

He slowly approached you with his hands out in a show of peace. “It's me, my darling rose. It's Coryo.” Coriolanus softy told you in an attempt to let him near you.

Your eyes blinked at hearing his nickname and for some reason you nodded at him. As he crouched down next to you, placing a tentative hand on your shoulder, you clutched the middle of his pristine white shit and sobbed, “I died, Coryo. I dreamed that I died instead of her.”

Your words gutted him. A world without you was no world at all. Wrapping his arms around you: letting you bury your head in his chest, he strokes your hair while offering you the comforting words of, “Oh, my darling, you're alive. You're alive and I won't let anything bad ever happen to you again, Y/N.” You shook in his arms, causing him to simply ask, “You hear me, my darling rose?”

“Mhm…” You mumbled out, too afraid to talk for fear that you'd start crying again. 

“Shh…” Coriolanus shushed you like one would do a small, frightened child. “I'm here. Your Coryo’s here and you're safe. You'll always be safe with me, darling.”

If you were of sound mind instead of scared out of it (from the horrors he designed and put into the damn games) you would've ran far far away from Coriolanus. But, sadly, you were too scared and on the verge of a mental breakdown to understand how twisted the man holding you really was. How obsessessive he was; how wrong letting him hold you was. No, you were too afraid to realize that you were letting the creator of your nightmares comfort you.

Once your sobs subsided and you quieted down, Coriolanus pulled back from you so that he could tilt your chin up in order to have your eyes on his. “I was going to wait til morning to tell you this, but you’ll be staying in a luxurious penthouse while the Victor’s Village is constructed in your district.”

You nodded, only to squeakily ask, “How long am I staying here?”

“Oh, just long enough to build your victor's house. I suppose it'll be done by time your victory tour rolls around; maybe even sooner.” He smoothly lied. He had no intentions whatsoever to let you go back to District 12. You deserved more then the mud and poverty stained streets of the coal district. You deserved to be bathed in rose scented oils and salts, dressed in the finest fashions, fed the best foods, and fucked on the best silk sheets that his money could buy. 

“Okay.” You nodded, naively believing the lies of the head gamemaker. 

“How about we get you out of here and over to the penthouse? Hmm? I'll even call Tigris to come over and spend the day with you, how'd you like that?”

“I like Tigris. She’s nice and was my stylist. Always talked to me like she cared.”

Coriolanus knew that his cousin was your stylist. He's the one that assigned her to you after all. But neither you nor her needed to know that. No…. It wasn't important. What was important was that you two got along, especially since in a short while you'll be family.

“Tigris is my cousin; I'm glad to hear that you like her.” Coriolanus told you while helping you to stand up. “And she does care about you, Y/N.” He told you while leading you over to your bed. “Never forget that the Snows care about you. And that snow lands on top.” He whispered into your ear while helping you sit on your bed. 

You just blinked at him, trying to process what he meant. You were so tired and mentally weak from your nightmare that you had no idea that his remark was one of possession. Your throat hurts from all the crying and screaming that you did, so you weren't thinking straight. Infact, your throat hurts so much that you grab the glass of water from your bedside table, quickly gulping it down.

“Be careful, you don't want to make yourself sick.” Coriolanus warned, much like a parent would to a child, while snatching the glass away from you.

“My throat’s dry and hurts. I need water.” You said in a pained whisper, side eying the glass in Coriolanus’ hand.

“Yes, well, that tends to happen when you scream and cry yourself hoarse.” He stated a bit coldly before lifting the glass to your lips and ordering, “Be a good girl and take small sips for me.”

You obeyed since your throat was aching. The small sips of the cool water seemed to soothe your damaged throat just enough to keep your mind off the pain. When Coriolanus felt you had enough to drink, he put the glass down on your side table. 

Petting your hair, he said, “I need to go sign you out at the front desk, but I'll be back soon to take you with me to the penthouse. Where you'll be safe.”

“Thank you.” You weakly smiled at the man that was now both your salvation and your damnation.

If only you knew what life awaited for you at that penthouse. Would you still be thanking him if you did?

》 AITA for my attempts to avoid playing an online game with a friend?

disclaimer i apologize for how chronically online this whole situation might sound, also if my friends see this and recognize me, i am so sorry

about a year back i [18] got into tps game because some of my online friends were really into it. the friends relevant to this AITA are C [16] and B [17]

when i started out i was quite bad at the game, but C and B were cool about playing with me anyways. during the first few months i played very often but i then dropped it for a bit, now playing only whenever i have nothing much to do

so here's where the actual AITA situation comes in:

I picked the game up again, again only playing every so often. usually i would solo queue and play with random people but sometimes C and B would ask me to join a match if they were online too

while the three of us would play fine together, even with me being the least skilled, i at one point realised i preferred playing with C and not B. C and I would share out frustrations about bad teammates and also excitement over winning matches, overall itd be a lighthearted good time

B on the other hand is a different story. I like playing with them but a majority of the time id leave our online play in a bad mood. failed matches would be terrible, they'd sometimes type out insults aimed at the team as a whole [despite me being the only person who is able to read the messages since we chat outside the game] excluding themself as they highlight their much better play, sometimes even aiming a grievence at me directly for not keeping up.

i am ND and have terrible rsd, so i take messages such as "I hate you guys" "anon what was that" "you guys suck", to heart against my will. B always seems to be incredibly frustrated and dumbfounded whenever the team plays terrible, and if theyre meant to be jokes i honestly cannot tell. while i could try to jokingly insult back, since C and B are fine with trading insults between each other, my humor is just not the same

back on topic, on one occasion, we were matched with teammates who did not play very well with us, and we had a very bad losing streak. while i was used to having bad teamwork and repeat losses, B stopped playing with me on account of feeling very frustrated over our teammates and having been dropped down a rank because of it

these days, when C and B are online and I happen to be free, i avoid getting online myself even if i want to play. when im online and B joins, ill play with them begrudgingly because i know they're a better player than me and we have a good time when we are actually winning. if i can, however, I sometimes ignore invites to continue playing

Sky His are fairly similar to Twi's, but a little smaller since I don't think he works out his chest nearly as often or nearly as intensely as Twi does. He's got a little bit of fat on him and that adds to their mass, and his boobs are a nice blend of firmness and softness and they are the bestest of pillows and also double as stress toys.

Four (I DID NOT PLAN HIS PLACEMENT I PROMISE) Something tells me he's constantly using his upper body one way or another pretty often back at home (no I'm not talking about blacksmithing, I really don't think it's possible to grow boobs from that anyway), and he's also pretty strong! iirc in 4 Swords Adventures each Link is able to pick up each other like it's nothing, for example, so he's gotta have something to show for his strength. Would probably be placed higher than Sky if Sky lost some of his softness.

Warriors He has boobs, alright? Just not as big as any of the previous, but they are there. Not much to say.

Legend Always thought that he's more on the lean side rather than yolked, in an ottermode type of way (I mean look at his game models or official art and tell me that he's buff) but he has decent tits. Nice to look at, could probably model if he wanted.

Wild He has some boobs but they're not that big, skinnier ottermode than Legend.

Hyrule This poor boy is even skinnier than Wild due to the circumstances back at his Hyrule (I imagine he gets to eat better once he joins the Chain tho). I think at this point it can be said that he barely has tits, but you can catch a faint trace of them if the lighting is right. Doesn't mean he's not strong though, muscle size ≠ strength all that much.

ohhhh i love this idea so much i lowkey wanna write it fr!

okay so when buck used to work in construction he also worked for a little bit flipping houses. he actually really liked it and his voice was nice enough to share some of his wisdom— it just never felt like buck really fit there. the point is! buck knows what he's talking about when it comes to construction and houses.

eddie thought it wouldn't be a big deal but he definitely was not ready to see a sweaty buck in a tanktop sticking tp his body, a tool belt around his waist and his arm muscles bulging everytime he goes to use a hammer— which is a lot, obviously.

buck gets really excited with the house planning. he has all these ideas and he buys all this stuff and he shows eddie a thousand different bathroom tiles and even more paint samples— seeing him like this just makes eddie's heart flutter like never before. it's really not fair.

they might also get into a paint fight. chimney records the whole thing. it's one of eddie's favorite memories.

when the house is done and they're standing in front of it, buck is glowing and smiling so proudly it actually physically hurts eddie. he can't imagine living in the house without buck in there too. he proposes right then and there.

Keith and Lance kinda have this unspoken language when communicating with each other. Like they know exactly what each other mean even sometimes without words. It leaves the rest of the team confused. When did they have the time to bond like this? (I seriously don't know. You decide.)

The team couldn't really tell when it started, only that it started.

Hunk noticed it first.

"Now paladins! We are looking for this specific plant," Coran pulled up an image on the hologram in front of them. It resembled the shape of a daisy, but the petals were bright blue and the stem was black. "Now remember, it is very poisonous if you touch it with your skin. Keep your gloves on and move it in the containers I gave you earlier."

"I think we should split up. Cover more ground," Shiro's voice carried throughout the room. "Princess did you say you were helping us look for this plant?"

Allura nodded, "yes but since this planet is known to be hostile we should stay in groups of two."

Lance immediately met Keith's eyes, the red paladin raising his left eyebrow quickly. Lance cleared his throat, "Keith and I are a team then."

Pidge elbowed Hunk gently, "you and me?"

Hunk nodded, his eyes still glued on the blue paladin.

Shiro was next to notice.

The team had a movie night once a week. It was usually a slight challenge to pick something everyone wanted to watch; Alteans surprisingly had a bunch of genres to choose from.

Pidge was presenting her case for a paranormal movie she managed to translate. Shiro was leaned back on the coach, his eyes on Pidge, a small smile on his face as she gave her "closing argument."

The movement was small but enough to catch his attention. Keith's head turned slightly, his eyes staring into Lance's ocean eyes. Neither of them were moving, if their chest weren't rising and falling he would have thought they were statues.

Lances shoulders raised with a deep breath and Keith tore his eyes away from his. "Let's watch something else. Maybe a comedy?"

Shiro tilted his head slightly, if he knew anything about Keith, he liked horror movies. He would be the last one to try and pursue the team from watching something else.

Pidge sighed and began scrolling through the comedy section of the movies.

Allura was next.

They sat around a wooden oval table, meeting with a couple different species for their coalition. The meeting was even a bit boring for Allura's taste but she kept a professional smile on the entire time.

As the meeting dragged on she found her eyes falling on her paladins. Her chest swelled with pride as she looked at each one. The universe couldn't had given her better people to fight the Galra. Something caught her eye as she shifted her gaze to Keith.

Keith was naturally neutral with his expressions. He rarely smiled outside if the teams jokes or laughed with others; it was who he was as a person. But right now, he sat with his arms crossed over his chest, leaned back in his chair squinting a bit at...she followed his gaze, Lance.

Lance's face looked relatively normal for him; but his nose was scrunched up slightly. He unscrunched it after a moment and she glanced back at Keith; expecting to see anger on his face. But his face was still relatively neutral, his head tilted to the side.

His eyes scanned Lance's face quickly, then he closed them for a couple of moments. Her eyes returned back to her blue paladin, a soft smile on his face now. He winked his left eye quickly at the red paladin but before she could see his reaction someone cleared their throat.

"Princess?"

She looked back at the others, "I'm sorry, what?" She focused on the meeting, trying tp push aside her confusion of Keith and Lance.

Pidge was the last one to notice and the first one to say something.

She had stumbled in on them having a slight argument. They were both in the training room, their helmets discarded on the floor. They stood about an arms length away from each other, the words dying in their lips as soon as they notice the younger paladin in the room.

"Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Pidges eyes moved quickly between the two boys.

Both of them took a step back from each other, their eyes holding contact the entire time. They didn't respond for a couple of moments, their eyes moving back and forth. The tension melted off them quickly as Lance lifted his hands in a surrender motion.

He turned towards Pidge, a small smile on his face. "We're fine. See you around," he walked out of the training room.

Podge watched her friend leave, turning back to look at Keith. "What was that?"

He gave her a confused look, "what was what?"

"That eye contact!?"

Keith shrugged, "nothing."

Pidge cornered the rest of the team after dinner, making sure Lance and Keith had already gone their separate ways. "Have you guys noticed something going on between Lance and Keith?"

Everyone gave her a nod, Coran stroking his moustache in slight confusion. "Are they sick? Should I ready a pod?"

"No Coran, but it seems our red and blue paladins have gotten closer." Allura spoke quietly to him, quickly filling him in.

"I don't think it's a weird or a bad thing," Hunk mumbled.

Shiro nodded, "No I think this is good, but when did it start?"

"Is communicating through facial expression uncommon for humans?" Coran asked.

"Well, no but it usually takes a certain type of relationship to be able to silently communicate." Pidge tapped her foot on the ground.

They sat and theorized for a bit none of them coming up with a solid answer. None of them could remember when they two of them go close.

(Later that night)

Lance slipped his shirt off, changing quickly into his pajama shirt. He hummed a song to himself as he washed his face and brushed his teeth.

He pulled the blankets back fully intending on curling up and fall asleep. He paused when he heard a knock on his door. He knew who it was and he simply called out to him and slid under his blankets.

Keith entered the room, a sorrow look on his face. Lance met his eyes from where he sat. He knew what he was feeling and what he needed. It started a couple months ago. Lance was sitting on the observation deck, missing his family more than usual. Keith stumbled upon him and sat with him for a bit. He let Lance ramble about his family, tell him stories of his childhood, plans for when they returned to Earth.

They never spoke of that night and Lance wanted to thank Keith for being a friend that night. He thanked him by returning the favor. When Shiro and him returned from the Blade base Keith, Lance found him sitting behind the red lions paw, hugging his knees.

He sat with him and eventually Keith vented all of his frustrations and confusion, even dipping a bit into what his dad was like. Lance listened, hung on to every word he said.

That night was a turning point for them. Something shifted in their relationship, they finally saw eye to eye. They spent more time together. Sometimes talking, other times in silence. Which led to Keith standing in Lance's room. Something that happened a couple times a week.

Lance lifted the blankets up, silently offering an invitation. Keith sunk down into it and Lance wrapped his arms around him and Keith buried his face into his neck.

No words were shared between them, just soft breathing. They didn't need to speak, they understood what each other meant or what they needed. Lance had made a comment on their impressive "skill" they developed but neither of them could explain where the skill came from.

They didn't overthink it, they just continued to do what they could to support the each other. From physical affection, to movie preferences, to stupid arguments about training procedures. Using silent movements and expression to convey things words couldn't.

I agree that Carlos doesn’t really have any great options in the future but I kind of think a lot of your points can apply to why he should be driving for himself. If teams know how he performs, why can’t he try and improve (which involves fighting and taking risks) If he’s only gotten 5th in the championship then why shouldn’t he fight for more points even if it’s one. Red Bull and Mercedes aren’t going to sign him not because he isn’t a team player but because he isn’t needed or isn’t good enough like you said. Teams are closer in the midfield area so isn’t it smart to get someone who can fight? Speed and craft aren’t the only reasons why a driver gets signed but similarly, following team orders isn’t the reason why they get signed too.

We the audience know the reason why he’s doing what he’s doing but so do the TP’s and I don’t think they’d hold it against him. It’s only been 1 race this year where he did something risky that didn’t work out and now he’s being branded as not being a team player. Sure you can site other teams over the years as well but then it goes back to everyone already knowing how he is as a driver so would being a team player this year really change anything?

Hi anon! Thanks for the ask (about this post)! I understand how you think and I have taken a bit of time to think through how to properly respond to this. While I see where you're coming from, I don't necessarily agree.

Of course he can fight and take risks, that's exactly what racing is. Sainz should definitely be racing hard for every last point. However, there are limits to what kind of racing is acceptable. Sainz has a history of pushing the limits and racing aggressively (which is absolutely fine), but when racing his teammate he often goes over the limit and is unnecessarily aggressive (which is less acceptable).

Teammates should have every right to race each other, but there is a difference between racing, and unnecessarily fighting and taking risks that will compromise both of you. Drivers are expected to maximise the team result in every session. You are racing FOR the team, not the other way around. This is why formula 1 is first and foremost a constructors championship, and not a spec series like indycar.

A driver should score as many points as possible for the team (and for himself), but that isn't what Sainz is showing. Rather than focusing on maximising his and the team's results, you have a driver who's only aim is seemingly to out-score his teammate, which leads to situations like this sprint where he is risking the team's results over a fight with his teammate.

Being able to fight is not the issue. Not being able to fight his teammate without risking both of their races is. Whether his results on paper will be better or not, this way of racing isn't a good showing of his skills because no one knows whether he can come out on top in a fair fight or not.

I actually have to disagree with the first part. Sainz is in a top team because he has proven that he is good enough to be there, just not as a first driver. I do believe that he would do well in both Mercedes and RBR, but that his behaviour both on and off the track is a huge deciding factor. Pure performance wise (speed and craft) there are few reasons why they wouldn't be interested, but like you mentioned, teams evaluate the entire package and that's where Sainz is lacking. It's definitely true that following team orders isn't reason enough to be signed, but NOT following team orders might be a reason for teams not to sign him.

You are correct in saying that the midfield is tight, and having a fast driver who can fight is necessary (and getting a driver who comes in with the experience of a top team is very beneficial). I'm sure that there are many teams who would love to have him, and while Merc and RBR can afford to be selective, few of the bottom 5 would pass up such an experienced driver. Sainz will have a seat next season, but if he wants a seat in a top team he should reconsider the way he's driving.

Sainz has always been doing this, it's nothing new because he is out of contract. And "he's screwing the team over because he is out of contract in 24 races time" is not a good reason. Sainz hasn't been disrespected by Ferrari, he hasn't been unfairly fired. His contract was up. He was always jobless after 2024. Nothing has changed. Hamilton was interested in the seat and Ferrari saw an opportunity with him. As a driver maybe Sainz is more on form (can't really compare since they're in different machinery), but what Hamilton brings goes way beyond driver performance.

The two biggest lures for engineers, mechanics, sponsors and other key figures at the moment are The Ferrari and The Sir Lewis Hamilton, 7 time WDC. If working for Ferrari is not tempting enough, working with Hamilton and Ferrari at the same time is, and we've already seen the effects of this signing.

Being replaced by a 7 time champion is the LEAST disrespectful way to go. And Sainz received an entire year to find a seat, that's a rare courtesy. He has no reason to act out to get "revenge". Everyone knows why he's doing it, but I definitely do think that the other TP's will hold it against him. Would you be comfortable signing a driver who is showing that he has no problem going against the team and actively damaging their results because he feels slighted? It's not WHY he's doing it, it's that he's doing it at all.

At the end of the day, maybe not. But it would definitely benefit him. If one of the biggest arguments for why he won't be signed to a top team is that he's a bad team player, proving that he CAN be good would make him a more attractive option, even if it's probably too late at this point.

"Crossbreeding" in Hyrule

Alright, so, this has been bothering me for a while. It's not a new topic, I know, but I figured I might as well put my spin on it. A lot of this is based on vibes alone, but I put as much justification in as I could. Hope this makes sense!

Here's a basic chart for the overview:

Ok, now for specifics (under the cut of course). Apologies in advance if this is offensive to any people who actually study biology as my knowledge is... unreliable (even though I'm very interested in it).

The Easy

Hylian/Sheikah

Hylians and Sheikah are pretty much the definition of "cut from the same cloth."

According to Skyward Sword, the Sheikah are "Hylia's chosen guardians;" they were created alongside Hylians as the sort of "favorite races" of the gods, unlike other species that popped up around the time (Goron, Parella, etc). With the inclusion of the other games, it's clear that they're not minor gods (like dragons or Great Fairies) either, since they appear as and are referred to as a race of people, whereas minor gods are more like magical individuals than a species.

Besides that, they look and behave almost exactly like Hylians, with the only biological difference being that Sheikah can live for an incredibly long time. In SS it might be a little bit encouraged by divine intervention, but with BotW we know for sure it's at least over a century, probably around 200-250 years average. Even that gets more nuanced with, for example, Niko showing up in both The Wind Waker and Spirit Tracks (something of a century later) suggesting that Hylians might be able to live up to around 120 years.

Basically, I don't think it's too bold to assume Hylians and Sheikah are completely compatible and probably biologically function more or less exactly the same way.

Gerudo I

Gerudo appeared significantly later in the timeline, with their first chronological appearance being Ocarina of Time. (I think it's been said that they sailed to Hyrule...?)

In any case, with only one male born every century, they rely on reproducing with other races. This is mentioned in OoT ("They say that Gerudo sometimes come to Hyrule Castle Town to look for boyfriends," Gossip Stone) and made canon in BotW, with the marriage of Rhondson and Hudson of Tarrey Town.

Additionally, their children are always 100% Gerudo (source).

This means they're not hybrid species. They just.. for lack of better way to explain, need to be fertilized to have their children. Generally that comes from Hylians, and thus probably Sheikah as well- which would make sense, seeing as all three of them are almost exactly the same in appearance- but maybe not limited to them. I'll get back to this later.

Basically, all of the the human-like species can have kids with each other.

Cool! But that's almost definitely not what anyone was wondering about.

The Less Easy

Zora

Here we are, the most "vibes-based" speculations I have for this post.

Zora... fish people, right? Wrong. What the hell are these things.

Scales, eggs, mammary glands (are they just fatty deposits???), both fish and sea mammal type tails and builds, even in the same family (Sidon is a shark but Mipha's a dolphin????)... not to mention that apparently, at one point, on the official zelda.com, it was said that they're not mammals.

Biological nightmares, that's what they are.

After a lot of consideration, they (specifically the Sea Zora, like in BotW, OoT and TP) are scaled, egg-laying mammals (both are technically possible IRL although not at once), due to most Sea Zora having mammal type head-tails. The difference in anatomy, patterns and resemblance to other species is just... something that happens. Maybe it's due to magic. Really, it's just a character design, video game thing. This isn't the 100% science based dragon game after all and I can't exactly hold them to evolutionary logic.

As you can probably tell, I'm leaning heavily on the "not mammals" thing being taken out of their description. After all, it was apparently over 10 years ago and things (namely: BotW coming out) have been changed. The devs change things after the fact a lot, so I don't think it's out of the question.

(I totally agree with this post by the way- I've just adjusted some things so that they're now specifically mammals and my speculations make a little more sense, even though it doesn't exactly make sense for their evolution. Call it a product of divine intervention... again).

Okay. Now that we've gotten that out of the way... Zora (and, consequentially, Rito) technically being mammals (dear Hylia that physically hurt to type) justifies a little bit more crossbreeding.

Due to vibes again, I think Hylians and Zora are male -> female compatible. Something how female Zora just won't give up on wanting to marry certain Hylians...

I think Zora have most if not all the Zora-specific traits in the egg itself, and Hylian sperm just happens to be compatible to kick off the fertilization.

However, male Zora -> female Hylian doesn't strike me as particularly possible, since I think the Zora part might contain Zora-specific features that just won't translate well.

For example (due to vibes of course), I like to think the head-tail is in the male part, making Hylian/Zora hybrid children tailless and Zora/Hylian children a little bit impossible.

Rito

Unlike the rest of the Hyrulean races, the Rito have an evolution we can track! They first show up- in the middle of their evolution, no less- in The Wind Waker.

They are a race of people that evolved- with the help of severe divine intervention, only a century in by WW's time- from the Zora.

Their evolution looks something like this, by the time of BotW:

During that middle period, I believe they'd be extra compatible with Hylians, fertile offspring and all. Their god-based evolution seems to have done a complete 180, so for the middle of that process where they have Hylian-like builds I think this makes sense. I mean... just look at them. That's a Hylian with a beak.

Now for the bird part. Notably, in Twilight Princess, a mural in Castle Town shows the Rito with an appearance much more similar to BotW:

And in the OoT manga, there's a short depicting a Rito-like race, the Watarara, who migrate through Hyrule sometimes but don't settle there. They have a much more bird-like appearance than WW's Rito.

I believe the "Rito" in TP are actually the Watarara from a different country, who are developing ties to Hyrule at the time, but don't yet majorly live there. Then, since they're probably around even in WW's timeline, once the Rito of that Hyrule evolve to the point of being slightly more bird-like they become compatible and breed resulting in the Watarara-like Rito of BotW and fully breaking off mutual compatibility they had with the Zora.

HOWEVER-!

While I don't believe a Rito can fertilize the offspring of a Zora, (here's another vibes bit), I do think somehow that there's a male -> female compatibility between the Zora and the Rito.

(I think it's much the same as Hylian/Zora, but the head-tail gene is simply discarded and the rest functions).

Gerudo II

Unisexual reproduction is when a species doesn't need its own males to reproduce, in which the species has haploid eggs (only one set of chromosomes), so the male's genome is discarded, but the sperm is still necessary to develop the embryo (source).

This would explain how every Gerudo child is 100% Gerudo, even with different species as parents.

Now, due to fantasy and magic, I'm going to say the Zora, Rito, Hylian and Sheikah races all have compatible sperm.

This is slightly backed up by in-game Gerudo travelers, like Laroba, stating that a man from any race could be suitable to be her partner. Even if she's talking about romance rather than sex, maybe being able to mate with every other race backs it up a little. She does include Gorons too, though, so that might be unreliable. I'm just throwing it in here.

One more thing- there is a type of unisexuality in which parts of the male genome "leak" into those of the children. I assume this is more or less why Gerudo have pointed ears in BotW and not OoT.

The Easiest

Gorons are (most likely) asexual reproducers.

There are no "female" Gorons in the series. Even the ones in Gerudo Town seem to identify as male ("I thought men weren't allowed in this town... Why did they let me in?" Lyndae; "I made it all the way to Gerudo Town! But I'm not sure why they let me in..." Strade).

And, conclusively in my opinion, OoT presents a young Goron- Link, son of Darunia. Being that Darunia and Link (the Hylian) are friends, and Link (the Goron) is even named after the Hylian Link, you'd think we'd get an introduction to or even a mention of some kind of mother, or find a "wife"/"girlfriend" of Darunia somewhere, but there's nothing of the sort (equally, the same can be said about Yunobo, who's directly descended from Daruk- the former having no mention of a mate and the latter having no mention of a mother).

I believe that Gorons are genderless, and the use of "he/him" and the male identity has to do with working with Hylians (source).

I tend to imagine that Goron offspring somehow originate from the rocks on the Gorons' backs, therefore being directly related to them (it makes more sense for Yunobo to have Daruk's special power that way).

Bonus: The Deku Group

"The Deku group" is something completely different I could talk about, but basically boils down to Deku trees, Deku scrubs, Skull Kids and the Koroks/Kokiri; they're (mostly) all plant-based spirits of the Lost Woods.

In short, Deku trees are something of a minor god/species cross and kind of radiate magic, Deku scrubs are an offshoot of this magic and can and do breed as a very specific and unique case of being a race of spirits, Skull Kids are just kids who got lost and died in the Lost Woods and turned into spirits, and Korok/Kokiri are a mix of fairy and Deku, being both "the children of the forest/Deku tree" and referred to as "fairies" multiple times, so with that combination it's honestly likely that they're just made out of magic à la UNDERTALE.

As a bonus for sticking with me this far, here's another chart.

Not only is he probably just... magically fertile, but I think if Gerudo are compatible with every major race of Hyrule (save for the Gorons of course), Ganondorf himself would be able to... show that compatibility a lot more easily. So, technically, if we're rolling with this assumption, the Gerudo and the rest are mutually compatible.

I’m on chapter 12-ish of Triangle Strategy and here are my thoughts:

Combat-wise, it’s more fun than fire emblem three houses. It requires more strategy, and positioning (even what direction you’re facing) is very important. The fact that there’s no auto-counter when an enemy engages you (outside of a couple characters with that passive skill) is also something that makes you cautious.

You can’t choose which class your characters are, but there is a skill tree that requires resources dropped from enemies (and can be grinded in free battles if necessary). I’m usually a big fan of “mold your characters however you want with jobs/classes” free reign but I think this system works incredibly well here. You can choose which characters to focus on strengthening, and which skills you want to boost in power, or what stats to upgrade. And you collect a good amount of characters along the way, so you have plenty of options. In addition to skills you unlock via level-up, you can equip 2 items too, so you can come up with some cool strategies. For example I Have Frederica with a skill to earn a TP (more on that later) every time she kills someone, and a ring that boosts her offensive capabilities per KO as well, making it even easier for her to kill more in the future - and she always has enough TP for a fire spell.

Speaking of, no character archetype feels more powerful than another! My faves are the magic-users, but there’s battles where you’ll want to have some of them sit out, and focus on brawny members or tanks. Each battle requires a lot of thought and consideration towards your roster. And of course, each character is significantly different from one another - they don’t feel like copy/pasted clones. Keeping with offensive magic-users, I so far have a fire sorceress, an ice caster, a mage who can use 4 elements + heal but master of none, and another mage who can use 2 elements, but also inflict weather effects that can turn the battle. It’s good variety.

You can’t change your weapons, or worry about them breaking. I’m actually a fan of breakable weapons, and having to be cautious, but I don’t miss it here. This system works well and allows you to focus on purchasing resources to upgrade said unbreakable weapons, or to heal status effects and health, etc

Your characters earn TP every turn and in special circumstances, which can be spent to use skills. I also really like this system, as you have to learn when to conserve points and when to spend them.

Outside of combat, the morality system here is leagues better than in most other games, for example shin megami tensei, where you’re often pushed towards a neutral route because the others are way too extreme. Here, the alignments aren’t law/neutral/chaos, but utility/morality/freedom. It’s a bit more philosophical, and often you won’t know which choice you make aligns with which stance.

Continuing on from that, the big decisions you make throughout the story can be tough! With one major exception in chapter 11, where I can’t fathom picking one option unless you were trying to get a specific route, each choice has pros and cons you have to weigh. Often I would pick one side then change my mind quickly after. These are decisions such as “what kingdom should we travel as ambassadors to”, in chapter 2, to “is it better to do something shady to guarantee an ally, or to try and expose them for illegal trading even if it means hurting our forces?”

But not so fast - you can’t just pick a choice and expect it to happen. You have to get the main cast to agree with you! Each character will have their own mind made up, and you’ll have to sway them to your side through dialogue choices. Then they all vote, and whichever choice gets the most votes is the path you take. So far, I’ve managed to persuade enough members to get the choices I wanted, but it still felt tense, so that’s the perfect balance for me.

The characters and the plot itself are surprisingly very engaging. I had some concerns I wouldn’t vibe with the cast as much based off of the demo but I really like all of them. There’s also little side stories you can unlock that show more details of their past, and most of them were pretty emotional. The plot itself is kind of your typical medieval fantasy political intrigue, but it’s well done, and I’m excited to see what happens next.

All in all, it’s a fantastic game and easy for me to recommend to anyone who loves strategy games, jrpgs in general, or just really wants more fire emblem and needs something new to tide them over until the next game drops.

I get game comparison’s happen but I really do firmly believe that even if you wanted to try and take Sword/Shield or Scarlet/Violet and compare it to anything on the Switch BOTW is like probably the worst to choose.

1) As it is Zelda games have years worth of experience of home console 3D graphics to have improved to the level they are today

2) Where as Pokemon (main / core games) by comparison is still somewhat new to 3D- again compared to Zelda games- and newer still to being programmed and made for something like the Switch

3) Stylistically they are very different - While the characters might be much less chibi-esk the general aesthetic is far more cartoony, maybe a little fantastical but simplistic in nature- isn’t trying to aim for some hyper realistic design which I don’t think it should.

Where as LoZ while also not going pure realism - at least not say compared to what TP still seems aim for a more detailed design and I guess in away a believable sort of fantasy

4) Going back to the first point BoTW is hardly a new game either with years to have had graphics tweaked, bugs patched and whatever since it first released on the Wii U (idk how much or how little it changed between the two upon being ported but still)

5) i can only imagine the team set up and handling of their games is different- for one Zelda games seem to be allowed a lot more time to be worked on before a new big game releases out side of any smaller games here n there, like the hand held titles. Where as idk if they just aren’t allowed more time or what but Pokemon for better or worse tend not to have as large of gaps between games

6) Hot take but in someways it kinda looks better then Arceus. Now I like Arceus I really do and I’m not saying it’s a bad game or looks bad perse but Sw/Sh and specially S/V have a lot more popping colour to them.

There’s just a lot of areas in Arceus that feel like nothing but muddy and a bit samey at times

7) Who cares what one damn tree looks like - feels nit picky. Sure it’s basic and maybe the texture appears a bit flat but so what. You can tell it’s a tree and you can still tell that the texture is meant to be bark- doesn’t have to look real.

8) It’s Pokemon good or bad aside why would you expect it to be able to compare to or look like Zelda. Colosseum and Gale of Darkness sure as heck don’t compare to the graphics of Twilight Princess but over all I’d say they’re still good looking games

9) Having played both now, can it feel a bit odd going from looking at BoTW graphics to Violet’s sure but I still think it looks fine for a Pokemon game.

10) General thought but in a sea of games where so many are aiming for more realistic what’s wrong with the cartoonish / less detail focused- or at the very least I’m sure most people wouldn’t expect for a LoZ game to look like a Pokemon game so why would I compare and expect a Pokemon game to look like LoZ

11) Equally bad comparison or examples I think are when people take try to point a mod as ‘see it’s so easy’ when although I won’t knock the work that goes into mods and the like that’s still someone working with an already finished product - as well as working under their own time, without deadlines, having to work within someone else is specifications or anything else that comes with game development.

12) I know shit about coding but what I do know is sometimes even the smallest changes can make things go weird so maybe some of the design choices are just what worked without causing something else to bug.

13) To repeat they are fundamentally different games, whether at their best or worst graphically it’s simply unfair to compare them or at least compare them so closely without taking into account each games style (and the teams behind them)

I’m not saying there aren’t improvements to be made, or that it’s bad to compare games in general but I am however tired of the only game comparison I see people doing with Pokemon is to Zelda / Botw and whether intended or not just ends up sounding (to me) like Pokemon bad because it’s not realistic / detailed enough.

Lightling the interior of The Studio

Once the decision had been made on the exterior look, dimensions and materials for the studio, the next stage was looking at some of the technology that would powe the space.

The first area I looked at was dimmable spotlights. I didn't want to have standard spots and a dimmer switch because in my exprience the dimmers are noisy and prone to failure, and I also wanted to be able to control the lights from my phone or through Alexa so I could set the lighting from anywhere, or have it on timer.

I've used Hive GU10 dimmable spots in the home for years and they've been pretty good, but I've been disappinted with their failure rate after a few years of use, and their unit price is quite eye-watering, so I went looking for another solution that wouldn't brealk the bank, especially as I was having to source 12 of them for the interior space.

The other challenge I faced with Hive for use in the studio, was the distance between it and the hub in my home. Although I have wired ethernet to the studio from the router, the Hive system requires the Hive network to be accessible, not just your wifi, so I would have had to try to find a solution to boost the Hive signal to the studio which is some way from the house and it just felt too risky.

I eventually landed on Tapo L610 Smart Bulbs. These bulbs are made by TP-Link and the real benefit of these lights are that they don't require a hub to work. Therefore they run idependently and are not exposed to server downtimes and outages that can occur on other hub-based solutions, don't require you to boost the signal of the hub to reach the light, and run off standard 2.4ghz wifi.

These bulbs are also slightly different in that they are halogen spots as opposed to LED. I wasn't too concerned about this and actually have been pleasently surprised by the colour they give off.

They give off 350 lumens each and are rated at 2.9w (due to the smart nature of them) which gives them an energy consumption rating of D which is better than some of the laternative bulbs available through Amazon.

The Tapo app is a breeze to use, and the setup process is straight-forward, although the lights do need to be set up one by one. However, once you get into a rhythm with the setup it only takes a couple of munutes per bulb and that includes a firmeare update (we it did for the ones I sourced) through Amazon.

You can group the bulbs into as many groups and sub-groups as you want giving you complete control of the lights, and they are dimmable from 1% through to 100% for full mood setting flexibility.

I also bought a couple of Tapo Smart L510B bayonet fitting bulbs.

I've installed one of them into the corner light unit for alternative lighting and again it is fully dimmable, and controllable via Alexa or the app.

It's also worth noting that you can get full colour changeable variants of the GU10 bulbs and the B22 bayonet fitting bulbs if you'd like to liven things up with a bit of colour.

One final note of setup. I've setup my home wifi network to run both 5ghz and 2.4ghz wifi off the same network name, so irrespective of the device and the freqeuncy they are connecting over, they always connect to the "same network". I have found this to be a perfect solution especially as I have other devices (like my exercise bike) which connect over 2.4ghz only.

The Different Links Giving You a Hug

This Link has thrown goats and grown Gorons so his hugs are going to be almost impossible to break out of if he initiated them.

It might even be hard to breathe if he's really into it because sometimes he also needs a hug.

This doesn't mean that he can't be gentle with them.

He might rub your back or give you a few pats.

For someone who looks somewhat angry or stoic most of the time, he likes to give out hugs to his friends. (He also likes to get them).

He'll probably even smile a little bit!

When you hug him, almost every time he needs one too so it's a mutual act.

He'd probably hold onto you clothing tight and would rest his chin on your shoulder or his head against yours.

He doesn't move or say anything.

It's a silent hug that's almost like a cry for help.

When the hug lasts a while, his arms will probably tighten around you more and he'll just hold you close to him for as long as you want.

When the hug ends, he might look more relaxed than he had before and will just awkward give you thumbs up.

Botw has good world building too, but each race felt kinda,,, isolated? I absolutely love the different architecture and vibe each town has (and all the the weapons too) but ghhh yea everyone felt so separated. As far as I can remember, we don’t see tooo much of the races interacting with each other? Now that I’m typing that out maybe that’s to be expected because of the calamity but KLSJDKJFD ANYWAYS THIS IS ABOUT TP

The world feels nice and alive, love how populated everything is

Castle town I like castle town a lot, it feels dense and busy and I really like how you can’t talk to every NPC you see

BUT HEY, I do remember seeing a zora or two hanging out in the hot springs around death mountain after beating the lakebed temple (I think, might have been a different dungeon) 

but aaaa would have been nice to see them in at least a couple of other places. I think it would have really added to the “congrats Link!! You’re restoring peace to Hyrule” feeling you get from seeing the Gorons hanging out in Kakariko and Castle Town

Love Midna’s theme and how they referenced the dark world theme from ALttP (I remember trying to learn the dark world theme on the piano and doing the Leonardo DiCaprio point meme at the little jingle I recognized from Midna’s theme)

Hyrule field theme SLAPS.

Apparently references a couple of the other over-world themes from the previous zelda games (I got this from 8-bit Music theory’s video on the over-world zelda themes, he talks about TP at around 11:40 but def recommend watching the whole video if you’re into music analysis stuff)

So there’s this bit of the Hyrule Field theme, I don’t know the official name for it but I remember seeing somewhere it being called the “at an advantage theme” since yeah, you hear it during the boss music whenever you expose their weak points. FUCKINGGG LOVE THAT. Didn’t notice it during my first playthrough, but hearing it during my second was like a little easter egg for my ears every time :)

Literally, the first time I listened to those I just,,,, plugged in my headphones, volume 100, layed on the floor/against my desk and silently vibed. I don’t know what the hell it is, but those two just fit so well with TP?? I still avoid listening to them nowadays cause if I DO I definitely will get overwhelmed with the “god I love this game so FUCKING MUCH” kind of feels.

Nice and calm after that big exciting adventure. Maybe it would have been more fun or emotional to have a higher energy piece but it was really nice getting to sit back and watch the camera fly around Hyrule. Seeing like, the Gorons and the Zoras having a good time, the kids returning to Ordon? GOOD SHIT.

and AAAAA that end, when you hear the main Zelda theme and see Link riding off out of Faron woods on Epona… good shit. It gets you thinking, where the hell is he going? What is he doing? Off ot do more adventuring? Going to help out the resistance or something? Going to help Zelda? Or maybe he’s trying to figure out a way to restore the mirror of twilight? Whoooo knows.

Heyah ! I just wanted to ask do you think Warriors is right about Twilight refusing help because of pride ? Maybe fanon Twilight is clouding my judgement rigt but it seems wrong with his character. It seems more plausible that he's being sturborn out of extreme practicality (and not understanding the ravity of his own injuries). Like "I'm that badly wounded, my life not threatened and I can still fight so we are not wasting ressources (whetever it is healing iten or manpower) on me when I don't need it". It's never a good mindset to have for people, even yourself but it's not pride. Beside the only time Twilight answer by anything not in the line of "I'm going wheter you like it or not" is when someone point out that he'll be more of a hindrance than anything else where he answer that he'll stay in the sideline.

Plus Warriors seemed to be projecting? For lack of better words. I mean he says that in Twilight stead he'll act the same way so I think he's assuming because Twilight acting like him he's doing it for the same reason as him. Which fair. But it's not a thought process that's reliable since everybody is different and Warriors and Twilight are even more different from each other than from the rest of them.

Anyway maybe I'm wrong, maybe it was obvious to a lot of people and I wrote that for nothing. Maybe I should have make it its own post but I really want your opinion on this. Twilight...is a complex character. But I'm not sure how practical he is being in his case. He couldn't get up as Wolfie. He was down and hard. That wasn't something that was a practical decision. It's VERY personal. Twilight (as a Hylian and as Wolfie) has had the most personal investment in hunting down Dink then any of the other characters. And it can be seen even back a few updates when I think it was Warriors said to not take it too hard. "Not even that great wolf could find him". (Or something like that, I'm paraphrasing).

But Twilights face showed hurt.

And Twilight, at least in my opinion, takes a bit more after the TP manga then the video game.

Do I agree that Warriors is also projecting a bit? Yeah. Like I'm sorry buddy. I know you all have the leap first hero spirit instinct, but Twilight is not a soldier.

But Twilight has a major case of "I will not be the weakest link" (haha pun). And perhaps he really DID feel fine when he was talking to warriors and Time and Sky. The magical effects seem to have had a delayed reaction.

All I can think though is that after having to have been hauled off the field of battle because you took a blow that injured you to the point where you couldn't respond until a magic sword forcibly transformed you, refusing to take a red potion (a three second thing!) isn't a practical call. They spent more time arguing over if he should take something to heal him then it would have to take a red potion or use a fairy.

And idk that it's an obvious thing, because clearly we can have two different interpretations of motivation!

You're not sure when or how it happened but it did. Somehow you had both Kirishima and tetsutetsu pinning after you. It’s so bad you were hiding most of the time, and when you weren’t hiding you had Bakugou as your human shield/bodyguard. The attention wasn’t unwanted. You did have a bit of a crush on both of them but they were always yelling at each other so you were always overwhelmed and ran before anything happened. Today was no different, currently you were with Shoto and Deku.

“I don’t understand y/n, if you like them, why don’t you just say so. There isn’t anything wrong with a 3 way relationship, logically speaking.” Shoto said with his head tilted.

“Well because they never give me a chance before they are pulling me back and forth and yelling. They don’t get along very well so I’m not sure they want a 3 way relationship.” You said scratching your neck embarrassed.

“Well maybe bring it up when they’re calmer!” Deku said with a smile.

“Um… do I get a say because we could always be calm about it and have a nice conversation about it.” You said tilting your head at them.

“No no! No need for talking, that's not tough! Besides me and Kirishima already figured out how to decide.” Tetsutetsu smiled at you, your mind warns you not to ask but of course you were going to. It's not like you had much of a choice it’d be a minute before your knight in a black tank top would arrive.

“Okay, how?” You asked hesitantly. Neither responded, just grinned and started to take off their shirts.

“W-what are you guys doing! Put your shirts back on!!” You said covering your eyes immediately.

“What? it's nothing you don't see in the changing rooms…” Kirishima said, genuinely confused.

“B-but you guys fought in high school remember? It ended in a stalemate, you're equally as strong!” You said deciding to just turn away rather than continue to stare at the ground.

“Sure but like we're talking muscle definition! It's easy, you just have to decide who has the most muscle definition! Totally manly, right?” Kirishima said, giving you a thumbs up.

“If I do, will you both put your shirts back on so we can talk about this, about well.. Us.” You said softly.

“Won't be much to talk about since I'm gonna win and you'll be mine, but sure.” Tetsutetsu shrugged at you.

“Fine…” You trailed off softly. You turned around and started examining the boys intently.

“No not like that, silly! Like this.” They both said in unison each of them grabbing your hand and placing it on their    bare    chest. The feeling was indescribable; it was solid like a rock, yet still warm and soft. The feel of them under your palm had you dizzy and a stuttering mess for a while.

“Both of you are well defined! Can I have my hands back now!” You shouted shakily.

“You’re a greedily little man aren't you!” Tetsutetsu chuckled at you.

“We could always share…”  Kirishima said with a slight blush.

“Yeah two boyfriends doesn't sound bad!” Tetsutetsu agreed with a nod.

“Yeah, it even sounds manly! What do you say y/n?” Before you could respond Bakugou shows up. He stares at the scene wide eyed as you tried to retrieve your hands from the boys who wouldn't let go.

“When I said I wanted to make an agency with you all this is not what I imagined. If I see something like this in the changing rooms or anywhere, I'm gonna blow you all to hell.” He said rubbing his brows in frustration.

“Keep your dumb boyfriends in check, y/n.” Bakugou said leaving.

“Well then boyfriends! How about lunch?” Tetsutesu said with emphasis on the boyfriend.

“Of course, I’d love to take my boyfriends out for lunch so we can be manly together!” Kirishima said with his toothy grin.

“WELLL, this boyfriend would love for his boyfriend to give him his damn hands back!”
