OH about the finale at the shrine, this completely slipped my notice when we were talking about it, but Ichi says he's "reporting" Jo's verdict to both Arakawa and Masato. It's just not translated that way.

Not too big of a difference (well, it is to me, but I'm insane), but if it was highlighting anything, I'd guess it's probably Masato's change of heart. It would've been fair for Ichi to assume Masato wouldn't care and only "report" to Arakawa, but in the context of Ichi doing his damnedest to show Masato they all love him, it works in terms of, "Maybe I made him reconsider, and maybe now he would care."

Also... I'm looking at it in a "measured" way, since the chapter trophies are always just standard "Nth Chapter Cleared" messages that the localization team just spices up for us, but there's something I find really poignant about the Chapter 13 trophy being worded as "Fate of Our Fathers." The pluralization of both the noun and pronoun. Realizations that come too late.

Of course, Masato definitely didn't "know" and had no real reason to suspect it, but the Arakawas have this bizarre subconscious almost-psychic link. So even if he doesn't really think so, there's this sense that Ichi "might as well" be Arakawa's "real" son because they're so much more alike. And maaaybe he felt that way about Jo and himself at one point, because (as we've discussed) there has to be a reason Jo was Masato's "favorite."

Am I an asshole for making fun of someone’s name and interests but then apologizing? I (16M) recently became friends with some people in my lunch hour. They are Z (17NB), M (18NB) and K (17M). M is dating A (18FTM), who i have met twice and had maybe two brief convos with, and he seemed sweet at the time. However, A is friends with the whole group, so they all know him and talk about him. We have joked in the past about the fact that A has the same nickname as one of my other friends. For the sake of fake names, lets say the nickname is Alex. I refer to my friend as Alex and Z,M, and K all call their friend Alex too. However, one day i called my friend by his full name- again, fake name, but lets say- Alexander. M makes fun of my friends name, saying its a bad name. In retaliation I jokingly say ‘your partners name is worse!’. A’s full name is a different spelling of a rather nice name, for this lets say its Alexyus (like Alexis). I mention that i like the name alexis, just say “but who spells it with a y!”. I also add, “plus theyre literally a dsmp and homestuck fan!”. OKAY BEAR WITH ME! i will fully accept and admit that thus far i have been an asshole. It wasnt okay for M to make fun of my friends name, but it also wasnt okay for me to make fun of their partner.

Anyways- no one seemed too upset by it in the moment, but later when i got home i received messages from M, K, and A. M’s had some odd sort of long copy pasta which basically said i hope you suffer, but it felt like a joke to me so just responded withh “i aint reading all that”. K’s message was wild tho- he said “i was just hoping you would kill yourself, overdose, hang yourself, or even just cut ur wrists. what is wrong with you, you fing freak!”. which is… wow! After i read the message i saw him edit it to add a “/jay” (meaning joking) at the end, but the original message had no indication of it being a joke. However, i accepted it as a joke because…. Why would he tell me to kill myself lol…. Anyways, A’s message was polite and formal, asking to talk about something i said earlier at lunch (A isnt in our lunch, he wasnt there when i made the comment about his name, but i assume M or K told him). I respond equally politely and we had a good conversation about it, i realized that it wasnt at all my place to make thats jokes or poke fun at A in that way, and i apologized. A said it was all good and honestly i was impressed with their forgiveness and maturity. I hoped A and i could become potential friends in the future, even. I was still peeved that K literally told me to commit suicide, but whatever yknow. The next few days at lunch were awkward but my other friend, Z, and me mostly just didnt talk to M and K. At some point my other friend, who i told about this, mentioned to K kinda offhandedly like “yo it was kinda fucked up u told (me) to kill himself..” and K informed us that he actually didnt send the message, it was A on his phone. M corroborated this story and then we left, but i was honestly so shocked.

Now i dislike and feel uncomfortable around M, K and A (although not Z, who agreed that what the rest of them did was not okay), because to me it feels like they all were okay and agreement of the message. But ultimately i’m really conflicted- it was definitely wrong of me to make fun of A (even if it was not meant to be serious, i dont know A well enough to joke like that), but i feel like telling me to kms is unjustified. Maybe it all is stupid drama tho, and i should just let it go?

*** i forgot to add- if its worth noting, since A is trans, he chose his own name, and mentioned that was one of the reasons he was specifically upset. Should i have not made fun of his name because i know he chose it himself? (Idk if it matters but my friend alexander is also trans and chose his name too. Also i love him and his name to death so maybe thats why i was specifically defensive of it.) but anyways:

thank youuuuuuuuuu <33 and the truth is. idk. i am kinda just winging it and making a lot of adjustments as i go.... im not very orderly about it and have my thoughts kinda all over the place. heres some examples under the cut w what process pics i could find

direction process goes >>>

first did a pencil sketch for big shapes. was just placing stuff down. i wanted to make ref sheets for an art trade but didnt want to make a traditional type bc i hate drawing ppl standing full body (bc im bad at it 👍) also i did not have specific outfits in mind and was going more for a reference of the general vibe of the characters, so i just wanted a full body pose + face close up. to avoid having to show specific details. bc i was cheating. was originally going to have multiple text bubbles around for the character facts

did like two sketches digitally. messed around a LOT with placement. the little emote heads came out of me feeling like it was empty and boring on its own and they are fun to draw so why not include them. the multiple text bubbles seemed like a bad idea now so i took them out and just did one text wall.

i actually dont like the text wall now and think breaking it up wouldve been more fun visually but that would've required effort i didnt wanna put in LOL

^ i lost the pencil sketch for this one (i always do a pencil sketch) but it was actually just the two half body drawings at first with none of that shit at the bottom or the close ups until i was like fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk i gotta add smth around to make this look like theres stuff happening..... the idea was to draw the two main characters of the labb novel in some kinda comic format w panels around and i then. kept adding things until it seemed like i was getting somewhere. thats kind of my process for everything TT i think it helps to stay in a workshopping stage for longer if needed to get somewhere but i often get impatient LOL

im putting a stupid note abt this here bc im still annoyed at myself but in this novel, there was a bit about a crossword puzzle related to a murder case and i only thought of it afterwards that it would be kinda cool to put the sugar cubes in like a crossword puzzle formation....... why didnt i do that......

^ and heres some of the process for this one, but i lost a LOT of the steps for this. the beginning was totally different. the character wasnt as pathetic and scared looking at first but then i was like uhhhhh lets draw him that way :)

the first pencil draft was from a different perspective and it was gonna have a mirror composition to it kinda? but i wasn't able to make that look appealing so i deleted it. it still had the curtains tho but then i also included stuff with framed mirrors + other frames around

i decided to instead make the curtains be the focus of the whole piece to not make it so cluttered. character's pose was so different at first it was so bad i dont even wanna remember it. i took out the frames entirely bc i didnt think they added much to the piece in terms of the atmosphere. since like. the more i worked on it w the character's + the goat's expressions the more it gave a 'being hunted' feeling to it and portrait frames dont fit that vibe. which feels funny bc u look at it and thats all u can think abt but i wasnt even gunning for that when starting out. BE FLEXIBLE. TRUST THE PROCESS.

every now and then i get comments on some of my older rants about totk and im pretty sure its usually the very first post without any of the additions i tend to add later on-

old post about how i found it a lil weird that the one of the first things rauru and sonia doing is put zelda back into a little white maiden dress even tho her own clothes didnt look damaged at all and were far more practical and someone commented that its so she doesnt stand out (something that was said in nearly every comment i got on that post already) and that it was only weird bc i was making it weird or sth xD

but it made me think about it again, so .... that excuse doesnt work for me at all bc .. why wouldnt she want to stand out? whats the danger of that? her suddendly appearing out of nowhere, not knowing anything of the traditions or happenings of the time, being around the king and queen all the time with a duplicate enigma stone and unknown technology (purah pad) isnt weird? i know the excuse of oohoho shes a distant relative of sonia (i know its far stretched techinically true i guess) but why even do that, why go to such lengths of keeping her time traveling secret? making her less of a target for gan isnt really sensical either bc he went for sonia anyway, despite zelda clearly being the younger and less experienced of the two with less control of her power, and if he knew she was techinically more powerful .. well then shes even less in danger, and if he might have wanted to get information from her what could he have gained from it really? she didnt really know anything more anyway? like all she could tell him would be like you will lose i guess lol

(also you could keep it secret from him but why from the others, i just dont see the point, i dont find her look pretty either, she just looks uncomfortable, like if she gets put in to a lil white uwu maiden dress AGAIN im just gonna assume ok you are stripped of all your agency and will sacricifce yourself again wahoo what fun)

in a world were time magic is normal why wouldnt you just say yep she literally came from the future to help us? the usual rules of time travel, as in, dont tell anyone who you are, dont mess with the happenings bc everything can have major consequences, doesnt apply anyway, she goes around by her real name and is involved in literally every major happening .. so why care?? keeping it secret from gan for the future? why? he literally recognizes her within a split second anyway

(no gonna get into why i think her time travelling in the first place is like .. so forced? its only segway to put her out of the game essentially and the oh no tragic twist, but like why, she got the powers and the stone so she unconcisouly travels ... back in time ..?? why not reverse the stones she fell from or something, if it was soemthing that would come up again ok! like she did the time travel accidentally and then learned how to return over the time she spent in the past thats good!! i like that idea, but its never broguht up again, the closest thing to it is the weird two time bubbles that just serve to give you her time powers (whats up with how that went down anyway) and then to send the mastersword back ... why even do that when it could have fallen and travelled back with her right away?? and both of those are at the very start of the game AND IT NEVER COMES UP AGAIN, like fine if it was her trying to go back but not getting it right so she creates weird ass time bubbles cool! why not put them all over the place with them getting bigger and maybe being able to talk to link from the past idk SOMETHING- ok ill stop here ...)

i would like to express some of my feelings towards... some interesting things.

1. The Strade nazi drawing

i talked about his before, i am aware, but later (while reading other opinions as well) i got reminded about EP (Electricpuke for those who dont know him). did we all forgot HOW MANY nazi drawings he made? dont you believe that's an influence as well? if i remember correctly, Gato cut ties with him because of his abusive behaviour (there arent many people talking about this but some user are aware about his actions. sadly i wasnt in the community when that happened)

literally there are people calling Gato a nazi when she doesn't support the ideology. why did no one act the same with EP? different standards? the fact he left (probably) for good? still its not an excuse to call Gato a nazi. also she apologised multiple times. again MULTIPLE TIMES. even in the callout post in twt you can see the fact she IS sorry for drawing that. that she REGRETS it

2. The way others silence opinions that they dont like

im not saying you should be forced to agree with it, but when you make a callout account, normally, you let multiple people say their opinions over that thing. you can even show proof when you see someone is wrong. thats how argument work, crazy ik.

i start to see that if you defend Gato or just leave the community because the fandom its on thin ice, you'll be harassed and bullied for your choices. first of all, HOW ABOUT WE LEAVE PEOPLE THAT DONT WANT TO ASSOCIATE WITH BTD/TPOF ANYMORE ALONE. good? literally saw multiple users being harassed by this. its THEIR decision, suck it up. also can we stop SENDING DEATH THREATS???

or the fact that if you do have a point, they'll immediately cancel it with the "oh but its not important". it can be if you have some proofs for their misinformation (just like i proved the variety of poc characters Gato CREATED. didnt talk about Ren since he's another story)

3. Lack of proof for the side allegations.

if people noticed mods harassing people sm, why didnt they talk? why arent there ss of their conversations? we dont even know (most of us) what they even commented about (aside of Pussyspieler drawing). or the twt user that was wronged. that situation was like.. kind of a "im more autistic so you should shut up" (i have to add that i asked people on the spectrum about this and that was their point of view) of course the mod shouldn't have said it like that but.. its more of a misunderstanding really.. that doesnt mean you cant be upset. you absolutely can. everyone can react differently so dont harass them for feeling down or for being frustrated.

also the spanish (or mexican idk) users that just copied and translated @/renhanasgf posts with little to no new information. just the same thing. (although they said something of Gato not sending merch to latin America. probably because of the laws back then or the fact that the transport fee would be high af. im still searching for the reason tho so ill need some time for that one).

4. This fandom is messed up

people when fans of horror porn games are problematic 🤯. i agree that some people are being like extreme with their reactions, but no one is perfect here. just like i approached the situation completely wrong, they did the same. of course, now if you go around and be a racist piece of shit, you shoudl just stay off the internet for a while. luckily more approach the "like the art not the artist" thing.

look. you can always block users that you dont like (just like i do to those who are either into csam,thanks for telling me ab this term anon!, or incest). i know. shocking that people can block others.

after all these fandoms are not for the weak. there may be some safe spaces in it as well but... lets be real... its still going to be problematic. if you cant handle the community or how others act around here, then id suggest for you to not have a close interaction with others. like uhm, just, appreciate the content, not every person around here. just be aware of the users, stau safe okay?

5. Will i stop yapping?

not until i will see an agreement in the fandom. Gato is a human, of course she will do mistakes. especially if she's anxious or tired. having hundreds of people around you its hard and i can imagine it. having supoortive people only to wake up with people hating you. i hope she's safe and that she wont have to go to the hospital again. i pray for her well being, and to others that got spammed with those disgusting comments.

im not saying we should forget about this like.. her poor management and emotional way of responding to things, but is it truly worth it? to force a person to apologise just because they tried to fix things?

i also dont think ill stop because i just feel like im the only one that does talk here (trying to even prove wrong on some things). if others do it as well, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAG ME I WANNA SEE THEM😭 also because most people are still so confused about EVERYTHING. for some reason this drama its only getting more popular on tt for some reason.. which is a big no no since there are a lot of YOUNG people. i believe this should be talked here, and on twitter. all of his friends were screaming at him at once making it very obvious they were upset w him, too bad tho he was busy getting his meal that was left on the porch by the doordasher, "we bout to eattt"haechan says outloud like he's talking to someone knowing very well he's home alone in his apartment, u usually would be over laying on his bed watching tv or on his chair playing the Sims while he ate , But u were at work doing a 9 hour shift slowly waiting for 8pm to come so u can clock out and hang out with ur very loud but funny friend.

As u finally clock out u hear ur phone start to ring.

u see... he uses babe as a nickname. Some friends use a shortened ver of their friends names but haechan js liked to call u babe , u never understood it or why he likes to call u that but u never rlly cared enough to ask.

"AHHH BABE UR HERE" he screams when he opens the door to see u in ur subway uniform, "HI HYUCCKKKK!!" U squeal seeing ur best friend after the longest hours of ur life. He opens the door wider to let u in, moving to the side as u walk in, u take ur shoes off n start to shuffle into his room, him following quickly behind u , u enter his room where u see the food and the show already set up like he was waiting for u to arrive, "were u waiting or something" "yeah actually I was bored bro" he says as u both flop onto the bed, situating urselfs into a sitting position, he turns the show on as u both start eating.

feeling full and tired after working and eating so much food u both decide to lay down on his bed, snuggling into eachother while watching missing, "omg I told u that he would end up being her dad!" , "HYUCK SHUT UP AND WATCH THE MOVIE" u say while covering his mouth with the hand that was free, other hand busy messing with his hair that u slightly tugged at while yelling at him, he winced in pain even tho it was the slightest pull. (he liked it but he would never admit that to u ofc). "Your moms real name is sarah" the guy on the TV says while u guys are immersed into the movie a lil too much u guys don't realize his roommates coming home and standing in the doorframe watching u guys until renjun and doyoung speak up, "u guys are literally a couple" renjun says first , "no literally look at them all snuggled up to eachother under the blanket watching a movie" doyoung adds to renjuns comment. Haechan let's out a sudden shreik from shock when he sees his roommates home from a guys night out (it was js them 2 and they went to a amusement park 😭😭) "WHY DIDNT U GUYS SAY U WERE COMING HOME?" Haechan says in his high pitched voice, "we literally texted u like 5 times bro, YOU didn't answer" renjun says back pointing at his phone he had in his hand, haechan climbs over ur body to grab the phone that was sitting at his desk charing, opening it to see the 5 msgs from the gc his roommates made.

"Oh." , "yeah OH." , renjun ignores hyuck and doyoung and starts talking to u, "hey y/n" he says with a smile. "Oh hey renjun!" U say back after looking up from ur phone and sit up on the headboard of haechans bed, speaking of haechan he's currently in the kitchen talking loudly w doyoung doing whatever they are doing, "how have u been, I haven't seen u since the day before yesterday" , "I've been good I've just been working Hella, have to pay for college somehow" , "ha, yeah I get it" , "how about u?how have u been?" , "good, good" ,"aahhh that's nice" , u say back slowly letting go of the convo lightly. "Well ima go to the bathroom n shower, see u around bear kisser" he says waving bye to u while walking out , "bye renjun!" U say waving back....hold on. Bear kisser??

"WHAT THE HELL DO U MEAN BY BEAR KISSER??" U say quite louder than u meant to while jumping up from haechans bed walking into the kitchen to see haechan drinking soda from the bottle and doyoung turning off the air since he swears its "too cold!". "it's so hot doyoung turn that shit back on" haechan says putting the bottle on the counter and walking over to doyoung turning back on the ac, "its cold! If ur sooooo hot get a fan!"he says turning it off and walking away. Knowing not to mess with the ac again hyuck storms away dramatically. His walking becomes more sulky while he walks to u , pulling u into a hug from the back. "just turn ur fan on dong" u say while u scroll on ur phone as he starts to sway u both side to side, u guys may look like a couple but u both really don't care, maybe u guys like looking like a couple, maybe u guys ARE a couple but hiding it, who knows. "but he's always turning it off and I'm over here sweating my ass off in my sleep cos he thinks it's -5 degrees in this house." He whines to u as u guys start to walk back to his room still in the same position, him hugging u from behind. "I know u always look like ur sweating when I sleep over" , "its because i AM" he says back letting go of u to sit in his chair , turning on his pc to get a little gaming in before going to sleep, u decide to get out of ur work clothes and wear some comfy clothes. U grab one of his shirts and shorts , throwing them on the bed and closing his door. U move back to his dresser and start taking off ur shirt standing infront of the beds end. U unclip ur bra and grab his shirt sliding it on, feeling it fit better on u than usual, while ur in shock of his being fit nicely on u haechan is screaming at his friends for not killing the guy that was targeting him and ends up getting shot by him, while arguing with his friends he notices you've been too quiet and decides to turn around in his chair, he turns and sees ur bra and shirt on the floor and u staring at urself in his body mirror on his wall, "what's wrong??" , "this shirt is supposed to be baggy, that's how it's always been" , "maybe u grew into it" , "did u wash it too many times??" , "uh yeah that's what u do when u wear something and dirty it" , "donghyuck...shut up" , "well that shirt fits me fine, it's actually kinda baggy on me maybe ur the problem" , " whatever, can u grab me the lotion I feel ashy" , he turns around to grab the lotion from his desk (don't ask why it's there) and gets up to give it to u, feeling a lil silly he decides to grab ur waist and pull u close into him , giving u his lotion as u set it down and turn around to give him a small kiss on his lips and cheek, "hold on I still have to change my pants" u say as u slip out his grip, "what are u waiting for then" he says with a smirk knowing that ur gonna be changing infront of him. U unbutton ur pants, slipping out of them and grab his shorts u threw on the bed previously, well u tried to grab them before haechan grabs u and throws u on the bed while him ontop. Kissing u passionately, stopping to say , "god i love my girlfriend so much. Especially in my clothes.u look so pretty" u give him a big toothy smile, "what abt sexy" , "oh babe your very sexy, not as sexy as I am tho" he says making u laugh as he starts to mark up ur neck. "gonna treat u so good tonight"

Obviously this is gonna be a long night.
