(and some sentences in french...and spanish but I'm not gonna ask you to help me with that!) I would really appreciate it! That picture is pretty much how my paulchard looks like when they meet! Not in the 80's though but in the early 90's as the two love birds have lived on the opposite side of the wall. (But when that wall comes crashing down...there will be romance!💕),

I will let y'all know once the first fic in the series is done. I'll let you know through my writing blog @viking-writing . Let me tell you that this series' universe is massive and it won't be all romance. More like fantasy, lots of gore....then again lots of smut too so don't worry there will be plenty of Paulchard to get by 😂

(So "bottom/power bottom Richard" is underrepresented?? What!? How!? Have you seen pictures of Paul's...well...Pole...?? Looks massive!! That big lump you see at the bottom is not a corner of his guitar and both of his arms are busy sooo.... 👀 wouldn't that fit perfectly in a thick peach like Richard's?? Also from what I have seen of the outlines of Richard's...ya know... ? He doesn't look that big. Either that or he is a grower not a shower like Paul is! Anygays... 😉 To me Richard being a powerbottom was a no brainer!)

My username on ao3 is "gothicXviking". (No shit!🙄) I already have a saucy Paulchard fic up there😏 "Mann gegen Mann". It was supposed to be a chapter from the series (as all chapters are named after songs and have song lyrics in the beginning to kinda let you know what the chapter is gonna be about) but this chapter was too long and lead to nowhere (besides smut?) so I did a couple of changes and made it into a Paulchard mini fic on its own! (I have forgotten what those 1 chapter fics are called. I really SUCK at all the fic- terminologies. I feel like such a boomer. I don't know what a fic- arc is or how to make anti-heroes/anti-villains! I just write, damn it!😂 I know "headcannon" and "cannon" and that's about it! 😂)

Funny that you should mention that my addition to the cigarette post reminded you of a young Paulchard scenario in Berlin because that is EXACTLY what came to mind when I thought about my own fic series! Ok fine... they live in Schwerin in my story (they met in old West Berlin though!) but stealing a drag from his bf's cigarette would definately be "my fic Richard's" way of saying "Hey. I want you in me!" Of course back when they would both smoke. (I can reveal that Paul have already "quit" smoking when the main plot in the series begins but of course there will be flashbacks and of course there will always be temptation/frustration in ones life from time to time, especially when you are dating a grandious Diva like RZK 😉)

Richard is something which is so underrepresented in Paulchard fics, so I'm absolutely here for this 👀 And Richard being a diva from time to time and driving paul to seek refuge on the balcony to have a cigarette and one (1) quiet moment to himself is such a mood

Lineage Challenge (Day 6) - Q&A Ask Game

First of all, thank you everyone that played this challenge with me! Even if you popped in for a day or two, thanks and I hope you enjoyed it!

Canon or Fiction?

The Arcanos and Varangrs are original and fictional. I came up with the Arcano name first by taking a name from Skyrim. He was a high elf mage called Ancano (who was kinda a dick) but he was into magic so I was like perfect. But then I forgot the spelling and said Arcano instead. I decided this way was prob better anyway when I saw this pic.

This also helped create the Gifts as the first one I made was Necromancy. I thought about the 8 schools of Arcane magic (Abjuration, Evocation, Necromancy, Enchantment, Illusion, Transmutation, Divination, and Conjuration)

As for Varangrs, I can’t really remember where it came from? I think I just googled some norse names and found one that sounded like it would fit their wild nature. It also means Sailor so that fits into both families longship use for trading together.

Family Ties

The Arcanos/Varangrs aren’t related to any canon families but there’s a bunch of creator made ones! I’m always looking for more too!

@sirfluffig has Varus de Fey, @lgvalenzuela has Lorilyn Kumari, @endlessly-cursed has Atticus Demiurgos-Kennedy and Semele Thorne, and for the Varangrs there’s @cursebreakerfarrier with Benji Gerhardt (tho it’s complicated. Will he won’t he join the family? 😌)

I also have my own created family called Lionette that live in Skalafell and marry into the Arcanos. Else Lionette was one until she married Alatar. I’ve been wanting to create more viking families that live in the village but haven’t gotten around to it. (👀 invitation)

Foundations

The very first member of all three family lines can be traced back to a single woman from the viking age (8th to 13th century??). She’s nameless but that would also be spoilers for my fic. She’s the one that did the ritual to imbue her family line with the Gift. She has three sons who each split off into diff families.

As for oldest on my tree, that would probably be the parents of my hphl gen (Unni, Aros, Oliana). But they aren’t developed much as I forget some of their names 🤡.

The very first member I created for the Arcanos was Dafne of course. For the Varangrs, it was Jorren. She has water powers uwu.

Fun Facts

The Arcanos and Varangrs don’t use regular owls for mail. Instead they own Ravens. Yes they name them. Dafne’s is called Hela of course.

There was a feud between the Arcanos and Varangrs since forever. It was only recently that Alatar and Jorren made a tentative peace and started trading with each other.

Lycanthropy is common among the Varangrs.

You could have caught this reading my one shots but Dafne’s eye scar was made by Unni’s old sword.

There’s about a 100 year gap in the Arcano Family where nobody is born with the Gift. The last member was Khione (Unni’s younger sister), and the first member to get it after all those years was Dayamanti. The gap caused the Gift to become sort of legend so when the three sisters were born with white in their hair, they didn’t believe it was the Gift until they started using it at 10.

Iolanthe and Dafne are probably the two Arcanos who actually stick to the family trope while the rest of the family are mainly Gryffindors. As for Varangrs, the whole family sticks to the trope EXCEPT Aros and Rune. Gotta love opposite parallels.

The Varangrs were created when I was watching His Dark Materials and decided to create one of the other two families. That’s why they live on Svalbard.
