AITA for snapping at someone who was just trying to be my friend?
I (14 F) live with my Uncle (34 M) and his friends (all adults, three male, two female) and all their pets. I get along fine with all of them but I prefer to stay in my room most of the time. Recently some other people my age L (15 F) and R (14 M) have started staying with us too, I think L's mom asked one of my Uncle's friends F (26M) to look after her for a while? I'm not too sure why R is here.
I actually haven't left my room since they've joined us aside from quick bathroom trips or late night kitchen trips so we've never met face to face (it's not personal, it's just a regular thing for me.) but I guess the adults decided to tell them I exist because they've been hanging around outside my door trying to befriend me lately. I'd mostly been ignoring them or only replying through drawings I got my pet duck to deliver through the pet flap in my door.
Yesterday all but one of the adults and L went into town and L decided to deliver the lunch my Uncle had left in the kitchen for me outside my door. I'd been hoping to be left alone as I'd been setting up to do a livestream. I have an anonymous online persona (I'll refer to that persona as N) who I make videos and occasionally stream as, I'm not really famous but I have a decent amount of followers and I guess by some weird coincidence L is one of them because she recognized the music that I made as my "theme music" for my videos and assumed I was a fan of N.
L then started asking a bunch of questions about if I followed N, if I was watching one of N's videos, if I knew N was doing a livestream and then she asked if I wanted to watch it with her.
All the questions made me overwhelmed and without thinking about it I yelled at her to stop talking.
She kept on talking and telling me all the reasons she likes N and I know she was just trying to be nice and was making an effort to befriend me but she wouldn't stop talking. Then I noticed the time and started panicking because it was already the time I'd announced I'd be doing the livestream at. I just really wanted L to leave me alone so I could get on with it so I ended up saying a lot of rude things that I didn't really mean about how I wasn't interested in being friends with her or anyone else and that talking was a waste of time. She did leave after that but I felt really bad about it.
Then during the stream I was doing a Q&A section and I saw a comment asking for advice on making friends with someone and the situation was exactly the same as what had just happened with me and L. I thought it was just a coincidence until I saw the profile picture was her holding her cat and the username had her cat's name in it. Reading it from her perspective made me feel even worse about what I'd said.
When L and R came back to my door later and tried talking to me again I did speak to them a little, answering their questions about what I was interested in to try to make up for how I'd treated L earlier but I still feel really guilty about it all. So I think I could be the asshole.
But I'm not sure, I'm really not good with social situations (I have autism) and so I wanted others' opinions.
AITA?

Saw this tag game on another post and thought I'd do it (idk if I've done it before, maybe something similar, but my answers will be different anyway)
1. Were you named after anyone?
Nope My chosen name (Allister) however, is from a youtuber who has a very cool name and I stole it (Alasdair Beckett-King, very funny videos and he has great hair too). I adapted it a bit so people in Spain would at least have an idea of how to pronounce it at first glance (hopefully) It has nothing to do with any Crowley (which I did not realize was a thing until recently), tho for a bit I named myself AJ like Good Omens Crowley, but I don't like how it sounds in Spanish...
2. When was the last time you cried?
Last month probably
3. Do you have kids?
No. And I don't want any. I don't dislike them, but it's not for me
4. What sports do you play/have you played?
Judo, karate and football (the indoors kind). All as a kid/teen. Now my brother and I walk every week day and go up and down stairs (when we remember...) One day I want to try to go to a gym to get some muscle, but not too much, just a bit of definition. Also, I'd enjoy doing rock climbing, but not competitive climbing or anything like that
5. Do you use sarcasm?
Sometimes
6. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Irl: the way they move their face and hands when they speak, which then I subconsciously use to recognize people, bc I'm a bit face blind Online: the way they choose to express themselves
7. What's your eye color?
Gray/light blue on the outside and artichoke green/lime on the inside
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
I like both, but I'd rather watch a happy ending. For scary things I prefer to watch Markiplier's scary games videos
9. Any talents?
I'm VERY good at jigsaw puzzles
10. Where were you born?
East of Spain, by some of the best Mediterranean coasts 😁. I enjoy it here, but one day I'd like to live in the UK, at least for a bit, I think I'd like it there
11. What are your hobbies?
Listening to music, singing, making art (crafting, building, drawing, painting, writing, ...), watching media (shows, panel shows, youtube, twitch), video games (rhythm/dancing, platformer, puzzle... Also minecraft, powerwash sim, potion craft...), going for walks, exercise, learning languages (especially English) If I had any good ones close, I'd go to theatres and museums too. And, if I had money, I'd travel. I'm also slowly learning about taking care of plants
12. Do you have any pets?
Not yet. I'd love to have dogs, cats, frogs, snakes... or anything really. I love animals. But I think cats and frogs would be the best fit for me, considering my personality and current lifestyle I've always wanted a dog, but I've only had a turtle and a hamster
13. How tall are you?
1.63m or 5’3”
14. Favorite subject in school?
Biology and technology
15. Dream job?
Anything that pays me enough to be independent and let me do all my hobbies Although, if I ever have the patience, base skill, and required mental fortitude, I'd go for general robotics and/or prop making (for film and/or theatre)
No pressure tags in no particular order (I tried to tag as many people as I could, but apparently there's a tag limit 😅):

Things I'm Not Allowed To Talk About Yet; or How I Learned More About Foodfight! Than I Ever Thought I Would
Okay, so I'm just going to come right out and say it; I know a lot more about Foodfight! than I've let on in this blog. Like, a LOT more. Shortly after I wrote my original series of posts cataloguing the novelization and various other Foodfight! trivia, I was contacted online by someone named Ziggy Cashmere. He'd been working on a book called Drawing For Nothing, exploring the history of unfinished and underappreciated animated films (with a chapter on Foodfight! among its many pages), as well as a full-on documentary about the movie called "ROTTEN: Behind The Foodfight".
Obviously me being the fan of Foodfight! that I am, I wanted to be a part of it in any way that I could. We talked for a while along with another Foodfight! fan in an internet chatroom appropriately titled "Foodfight Obsessives" and fast became friends. Since then I've been shown an early script I never thought I'd see, videos containing behind-the-scenes footage I never dreamed ANYONE would see, and interviews with people who worked on the movie I never imagined anyone would be able to track down. I've seen so much stuff over the past few months and it's been SO EXCITING... but I'm not allowed to talk about it, share any of it, or show anyone just yet! Gah!
It's been SO HARD keeping quiet about this for as long as I have, but since a trailer for the documentary has been up on YouTube for a while, I just wanted to let the cat out of the bag and preemptively say before it comes out: yes I knew about this, I've seen everything that's going to be in the documentary and it's fascinating, yes I was involved in it (in a very minor sense- I have a small cameo and helped with some of the research, Ziggy did 95% of the work) and it's going to be AMAZING. Ziggy's work on this is streets ahead of anything I've managed to do with this blog- the production materials he's dug up and the crewmembers he's managed to get in touch with are nothing short of incredible, and the amount of work that's gone into this is insane. It's like those true crime podcasts where a journalist talks to the victims of some decade-old crime, but instead of a murder case it's a below-average animated children's movie.
Everything Ziggy has on the movie (documents, video footage, pictures, interviews, the whole shebang) will be released alongside the documentary, so don't feel like you're missing out- you'll get to see everything soon enough, and I promise it'll be worth the wait. "ROTTEN: Behind The Foodfight" answers the decade-long mystery about Foodfight! as best, if not better than any one person possibly could, and closes the book on what happened behind the scenes on this enigma of a movie once and for all. I'm seriously SO excited for it to be out so I can talk about all the crazy things I've seen, you have NO idea what's in store for you guys. Check out the trailer here:
youtube
And if you can't wait for the documentary to come out, you'll see a preview of the kind of thing you can expect in his book, Drawing For Nothing. It's a fascinating free ebook with behind the scenes trivia and concept art from all kinds of lost and forgotten animated movies from over the years (for example, there's a chapter dedicated to Joe Jump, a Disney movie that eventually ended up becoming Wreck It Ralph) It's genuinely a work of art, and speaks strongly to my passion of films that feel like they deserve a second chance.
There's a fantastic chapter on Foodfight! showing off concept art, storyboards, unreleased merchandise and excerpts from an early draft of the script- it's truly fantastic. For example, check out this concept art for the Asian food aisle! I think pieces like this really show more than anything the strength of Foodfight!'s core concept, and how genuinely phenomenal of a movie it could've been were it managed better.
Tumblr media
So I highly recommend you check out the book, and stay tuned for ROTTEN: Behind The Foodfight, because it's gonna be one hell of a ride. I'll make a much more in-depth post about it once it's out and I can actually talk about the contents of the documentary, but for now it's Tiffany Amber, strawberry jamming out of here!

Easy Tips to Avoid Accidentally Getting an Offensive Tattoo
Hello! Hi! I'm Ada, your friendly local tattooed person!
I'm sure by now we've all seen the posts of people getting Stranger Things number tattoos without realizing what they look like (ie the codes that the Nazis branded people with) (and for the purposes of this post I will be assuming ignorance instead of purposeful malicious intent), so today I'm here to give some tips on how to avoid accidentally getting a racist/offensive/otherwise unwise tattoo of your own! 😀
1. Research. Before getting any tattoo, use the internet to search "[tattoo idea] tattoo meaning", and read through as many results as you possibly can to make sure the design you're about to get isn't a Russian prison tattoo, or a gang symbol, or a white nationalist code-word.
IRL example, when I was an 18 year old goth kid, I thought I wanted a spider web tattoo. But then I googled "spider web tattoo meaning", and it turned out it was all three of those things! So I got a picture of my cat instead, because my cat was not involved with prisons, gangs, or racism.
2. Ask around. Draw, or pay someone else to draw, a sketch of your idea, and show it to as many other people as you can. Ask them to point out anything unintentionally offensive you might have missed. I don't expect any one person to know every possible offensive tattoo, so it's good to ask as wide a variety of people as you can. Maybe ask online, if you have a online friend group or a forum you trust.
IRL example, my coworker wanted a forearm tattoo of a sailing ship (he is an accountant, not a sailor), and found out that in many circles a tattoo of a fully rigged ship means that the person who has it has sailed 5,000 nautical miles, and was liable to get his butt kicked if the wrong people saw it and thought he was making a claim he couldn't back up. [Ultimately, he got it anyway, but on his chest, where it was less likely to be seen. Not the decision I'd have made, but at least it was an informed choice.]
3. Flash tattoos. Tattoo flash is the pre-drawn designs that you see hanging on the wall of many old-fashioned tattoo parlors, street shops, and temporary tattoo kiosks. Most are of simple, classic, or generic designs, though some artists have more elaborate flash. A lot of older flash is based on Sailor Jerry or Ed Hardy designs, and most flash tends toward American Tradition or Japanese Traditional in style. If you go to a reputable, licensed artist who has flash (and researching an artist is a whole other post), you're pretty safe picking whatever design you like and getting it immediately. No reputable artist os going to risk their reputation by offering racist flash art. (You might still want to run a Google search to avoid the Sailing Ship Butt-Kicking situation, but that's your choice.)
IRL Example: you've probably seen lots of flash tattoos without realizing it. If you've seen a tattoo of two swallows, or a heart that with a name banner, you've seen a flash tattoo.
4. No tattoos. If you don't want to do research into the meanings and associations of your potential tattoo, and you don't want a flash tattoo, the easiest way to avoid getting an offensive tattoo is to just not get a tattoo. If you have no tattoo, you have no offensive tattoo.
IRL Example: My uncle wanted a tattoo, but after 20 years working in the FBI organized crime department he decided too many things were associated with or claimed by different gangs, and just gave up on the whole idea.
Other Notes:
-Someday there might be a tattoo idea you love that you find out is offensive somehow. Do not get the tattoo. Do not think that no one will notice the connotations. Do Not end up like my OTHER coworker, who thought no one would notice the implications of the Rising Sun tattoo he got because it "looked so cool" and then had too spend twice as much money covering up when everyone asked why he had the flag of WWII Japan on his leg.
-Every tattoo is going to offend someone, but there's a big difference between getting a tattoo of slightly raunchy Hair Metal lyrics and getting a tattoo of, like, Nazi symbols. If someone tells you your tattoo idea is offensive, find out why, and do research into whether the association is something you really want to be representing. I'm not here to tell you exactly where to draw the line on how potentially offensive is too offensive, especially since it's going to vary by culture and location, but take some time to really think about what you're committing to before you do it.
Please feel free to add more! I don't know everything, so please add onto this, or correct me if I've gotten something wrong.
And please don't hesitate to ask any questions! My ask box is always open 😊

One of my favorite Youtubers Laura Caldwell has done a video of her top 22 thrift finds of 2022 and I thought I might try a top 10. In no particular order:
I found a Herend Queen Victoria pattern ceramic basket. I've never liked ceramic baskets but this is my dream if-I-won-the-lottery dinner set so when I found something in this pattern in a thrift store I HAD to get it.
I got a mid century ceramic panther 2.5 feet tall, no cracks or chips. I had literally had daydreams where I walk into the thrift store and before I'm even in the door I see a ceramic big cat, I make a bee line for it and grab it growling 'Mine!' and march it up to the counter without even looking at the price. When I find out the price it's ridiculously reasonable. The only things that went different to how I'd daydreamed it was that my mother was very embarrassed by my squealing and my brother carried it to the counter for me.
The most stunning 1884 copy of The Life and Exploration of Dr Livingstone The Great Missionary Traveler. There are some horrifically racist bits, it was written by Victorians but he was very anti slavery and in one of his adventures someone was attacked by a lion so there's gorgeous pictures, in gold on the brown leather cover, of a slave with broken shackles and a white man being pinned down by a lion.
I got a parrot carved out of clear quartz with his beak and tail carved out of agate and his crest carved out of adventurine, he's perched on a chunk of amethyst.
A beautifully detailed framed ink drawing of a birds eye view of a snake skeleton in a box, every rib every vertebra and every fang is perfectly detailed and the shadows are all exact. It must have taken someone so long to draw.
A lovely not-for-export rose medallion vase. It's very old and you can tell from the precision of the painting and the lack of a mark that it was made for the Chinese market, they kept the good stuff for themselves and exported the sloppily painted stuff. It likely came to New Zealand with a Chinese family intending to set up market gardens or go gold mining in the late 1800s.
A hand painted plate for hanging on the wall as art. It's a night time jungle scene of a toucan silhouetted against a double waterfall. I'm a biiiiiiiiiiig fan of jungle themed stuff and I love scenes of the jungle at night.
6 pink Arcoroc Rosaline wine glasses. I have collected Rosaline for 2 years and in that time I only ever found 1 wine glass, I've got champagne flutes, cocktail glasses, liqueur glasses, sherbet dishes, bowls in 4 different sizes, more plates than I need, but could I find wine glasses? Then there they were, directly at eye level, $2 each, a set of six. I almost couldn't believe it. I had looked in every single thrift store I'd been in for the last TWO years, and I go thrifting at least twice a week, and in that whole time I had only ever found the 1 single wine glass.
A vintage great white shark jaw. I collect oddities and it was a bucket list find. I didn't expect to ever find one in the wild and I figured if I ever found one online here in New Zealand, I'd be paying a bomb for it, they're illegal to sell here unless they're pre 2006. I walked into my favorite thrift store and embarrassed my mother (again) by squealing when I saw it - embarrassed as she was she still bought it for me for Christmas.
My #1 best find was exactly a year ago today on the 2nd of January 2022. I went to a fabulous vintage market and walked into a booth and just thought 'I'm going to spend $$$ here'. I bought the most stunningly gorgeous hand-painted, artist signed 1865, French porcelain jardiniere with iris' (a flower that has special meaning to me) painted on it and lion handles. It's gorgeous and I got it for a steal considering how old it is and how intact. It's gorgeous colors and exquisite painting.
I probably could do 22 if I sat here for long enough but I'll just add a few honorable mentions:
Brass butterfly candle holders
A taxidermy cane toad (the exact day I had put a display case I already owned onto a new shelf and decided it looked good there I just had to figure out the perfect thing to put in it)
A mid century Italian brass tortoise trinket box
2 lovely Victorian vases and a gorgeous Art Nouveau vase
The perfect plant pot to compliment the Victorian Majolica plant stand that I bought a couple of years ago that was missing it's original matching jardiniere. It's modern but the color is almost exact and the lines are similar enough that it looks like it belongs, especially since I have a lush boston fern in it covering most of the pot.
Lots and lots of the Sun Purple glass I collect, I've gotten really good at spotting it over the last year.
Several gorgeous antique books but especially a set of 3 1910 Natural History books with gorgeous illustrations that were so pretty I took photos of some of them and got them printed on coasters.
The largest paua (New Zealand native abalone) shell that I have ever seen.
A Japanese rip off of the Minton Majolica Monkey teapot, I doubt I'll ever see the Minton one in the wild but I'm very happy to own the bootleg version.

Tag Game To Better Know You! Send this to people you’d like to know better!
I am so, so late.. I live in shame but hey I'm finally doing this! Thank you @kitaychan @astrophilic-soul @germanyskrazythiccass for the tag (2 of them on my other blog but I'll do this here) and for being patient with me <2
What book are you currently reading?
Der Hund, der unterwegs zu einem Stern war. It's the first book of Henning Mankell's Joel series and I highly recommed the books because I love reading them, especially now during the cold months
What’s your favourite movie you saw in theatres this year?
I loved Batman, but so many people are saying Batman so I'm going with Bullet Train. It was hilarious, I love this kind of funny, stupid, violent movies.
What do you usually wear?
Skinny jeans (low rise), t-shirt, + when it's colder a sweater on top or a long sleeved shirt underneath, trainers (British Knights "rocco" to be specific), hair tied up in a messy bun or ponytail depending on how long it is.
How tall are you?
Like 1,70m I think??
What’s your Star Sign? Do you share a birthday with a celebrity or a historical event?
Pisces. Not a birthday, but Terry Pratchett died on my birthday in 2015 apparently?
Do you go by your name or a nick-name?
Riva is a name I made up and only use online, but I also go by Nat or Natalya online which is a nickname.
Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child?
No, because when I was a child I didn't know the job I'm doing now exitst. Other than that I remember doing a workshop at school when I was like 17 where we should write something we want to be in 5 years on a piece of paper and everyone wrote about their jobs and I wrote "I want to be happy" and I have achieved that.
Are you in a relationship? If not, who is your crush if you have one?
I am! Have been for more than 6 years now, can you believe? I do still have crushes too though.
What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at?
I'm very good at poaching eggs. I'm bad at making phone calls.
Dogs or cats?
Cats all the way :)
If you draw/write, or create in any way, what’s your favourite picture/favourite line/favourite etc. from something you created this year?
I still love this part from the work I wrote for the heta dark collection:
His blood ran cold when Mathias realised what he had just done and what it meant.
I won’t make it through the night.
The thought brought him a peace he would never admit he felt, but still his face contorted as tears dropped from his eyelashes and sobs rippled through his body. He was frightened, but not because he was going to die. Dying was okay.
Dying was peace.
No, Mathias was frightened because he was going to die alone.
What’s something you would like to create content for?
I'd already be happy to finish some of my wips and get over myself and post them so that's my new years resolution too.
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?
I'm still a little obsessed with Cyberpunk tbh. I ate up the game like starving man (because it was the perfect game for me to play) and loved the anime too (because omg trigger I'm on my knees). That and baking my own bread is still going strong!
What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?
I was very excited for all the conventions that finally happened again this year, but somehow... idk I'm not sure how to describe it. I had fun when I was there but I was exhausted after the first two I went to and then before the next one I just had no motivation. It's just not the same anymore. Maybe I need to convince more of my rl friends to cosplay with me so I have more will to work on things and be excited for them again.
What’s a hidden talent of yours?
I can overanalyse every piece of modern music by the standards of classical music because that was drilled into my brain. Idk if that counts as a talent? It's fun to do though.
Are you religious?
I'm sorry, but I've been in a religious crisis for months and at the moment I do not know how to answer this.
What’s something you wish to have at this moment?
I'm a little hungry so something warm to eat for supper (that I do not have to cook myself) would be nice. And maybe some hot chocolate and a warm bath. Yeah that would be good.
I feel like most people have already been tagged in this but if you guys want to and/or haven't been tagged before: @breitzbachbea @pastelsugar6w6 @irisoflunadreams @kittspirals

Send this to people you'd like to know better.
thank you lovely @lowkeyanakin for tagging me. and i'm also sorry to everyone because I can't be concise even if you paid me.
What book are you currently reading? I haven't picked up my kindle in an age but last time I read it was Critical by Matt Morgan, who is an Intensive Care Doctor, talking about some of his experiences, particularly through Covid. Going to try and read a couple of new things over the Christmas break.
What’s your favorite movie you saw in theaters this year? To be fair it was the ONLY film I saw in the cinema this year, but it was Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio. I love that tiny blue cricket and I don't care who knows it.
What do you usually wear? At the moment it switches between midi dresses and ankle boots or trainers, or leggings and big slouchy tops with ankle boots or trainers. I almost always have a scarf on from about October to March. (Can you tell it's -3 here and that's all I'm preoccupied with?)
How tall are you? Small enough that I had to stand on a pallet when I had to be on camera for some filming a couple of weeks ago. Rude.
What’s your Star Sign? Do you share a birthday with a celebrity or a historical event? I'm a gemini and I fit it right down to the ground. One of the most famous people I share my birthday with is now a notorious anti-semite unfortunately so I'm going to go with Tim Berners Lee instead.
Do you go by your name or a nick-name? Usually my name IRL but I have a ton of nicknames, some of which have absolutely no relation to my actual name. I get cas, cassiopeia, casserole from the online besties. My old work pals call me johnson (which is not my surname and isn't even close but it's a long story) but usually it's case if it's a RL pal, or sweetpea if it's my dad.
Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child? I don't know, because I flitted between ideas for a long time. I wanted to be a magazine editor for a time when I was about 8, and did work in magazine publishing for a couple of years, but really when I was a teenager, I wanted to be a doctor in emergency medicine. I wanted to be a cinematographer during university, but I ended up in marketing and comms instead, like most humanities grads.
Are you in a relationship? If not, who is your crush if you have one? Single and 100% good with it. There's this fit Scottish guy though who keeps making films about these wars in space, I don't know if you've heard of them or anything....?
What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at? I never know what to say for these things. I know I'm very thoughtful, and I put a lot of thought into my friendships, and my gifts, and my work, because that's just how I'm made. I'm terrible at asking for help, because the fear of burdening people is embedded deep down in me. Even though I would never ever see anyone else as a burden, ever. It's weird how it works.
Dogs or cats? CATS ALL DAY EVERY DAY.
If you draw/write, or create in any way, what’s your favorite picture/favorite line/favorite etc. from something you created this year?  I thought I'd written something this year but it was actually LAST YEAR. Good god. However I did do a couple of little crappy sketches a couple of weeks ago (the drawing was crappy, not the content) of @thetorontokid and @weaponizedwit's beautiful little cats which I quite liked doing.
What’s something you would like to create content for? I'd literally like to create content for ANYTHING at the moment. My brain is a bit atrophied from constantly creating work content but never fun fandom stuff. I'd like to try and write some fic soon, and do more art too.
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with? Ewan Gordon McGregor.
What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year? This is going to be a controversial one for some so I'm going to be very specific; Obi Wan Kenobi's WRITING. All the right parts were in play, but it never felt like the writing ever went below a shallow glance over the story. And the acting was so great and deserved so much better. So yeah, Joby Harold - do better, you prick.
What’s a hidden talent of yours? Again, I have no idea what to put for these things. I don't know that I even have any talents!
Are you religious? No.
What’s something you wish to have at this moment? For one of my best pals, who is currently in labour, to have her baby safely and without any drama. Beyond that, I'd like to be able to hang out with my gremlin pals without an ocean in the way. Otherwise, I'm all good.
I'm never on here much now (I know I know I'm sorry) so I don't know who has already done this - so I'm just going to tag the gremlins @thetorontokid and @weaponizedwit and lovely brit @obiknights

Getting to Know You Tag Game
Thank you for tagging me @swampcreature!
I'll tag @luciality and @miocaroveneziano (if you guys want to/haven't done it yet). Anyone else who wants to is free as well ofc
What book are you currently reading?
I'm currently reading Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin! I knew a lot of the Targaryen lore already, but I figured I should actually get it and read it as preparation for House of the Dragon (I got it right before the show came out). I've been a little slow reading it because I've had a lot of assignments and readings this semester
What’s your favourite movie you saw in theatres this year?
Although I didn't technically see it in theatres, the answer is probably Turning Red. I also really liked Rosaline!
If we want to get picky about movies I strictly saw in a theatre, the only one I think I saw in-theatre was Baz Luhrman's Elvis, and I thought it was relatively good
What do you usually wear?
Usually a t-shirt, jeans, and a hoodie. For the winter I've got a bunch of dad sweaters.
How tall are you?
5'1
What’s your Star Sign? Do you share a birthday with a celebrity or a historical event?
Leo! I share my birthday with Nixon's Resignation Speech and Margaret Tudor's wedding celebration
Do you go by your name or a nick-name?
IRL I go by my name, online I go by Marshy or Grammy depending on your persuasion
Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child?
Definitely not. My ideas changed so much I don't think I'd be disappointed though! I'd be glad to do something I was happy in
Are you in a relationship? If not, who is your crush if you have one?
Very single, but I don't meet a lot of people I'm attracted to
What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at?
I'm alright at writing, at least essay writing. I won an award for it and I work as a writing consultant at my college
I'm comically bad at math.
Dogs or cats?
I prefer dogs, but I like cats when I know them. I grew up in an area with a lot of feral/stray cats and it's just made me more wary of them.
If you draw/write, or create in any way, what’s your favourite picture/favourite line/favourite etc. from something you created this year?
All of my writing is in (probably permanent) WIP status and involved in fanfic, so I'll probably never post it on my main.
I don't usually post this on my main, but I do run a Hetalia sideblog and I did a Cardverse piece of the British Isles Fam that I'm pretty proud of
What’s something you would like to create content for?
In addition to the Hetalia stuff I do on my sideblog, I'd love to make more ASOIAF content. I drew Margaery Tyrell earlier this year, and I'd love to do more! I get so inspired by all the amazing artists in the fanbase, the historical clothing I see, and the metas people write
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?
House of the Dragon andThe Cranberries. Also stuck in Hetalia Hell lmao
What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?
I went on a trip this past summer. It wasn't exactly disappointing (it was actually pretty fun) but I got covid after two years of being untouched at the end of it
What’s a hidden talent of yours?
IRL I've been told I'm funny?? I don't know if that counts as a talent rather than a personality trait, but I'm really what it says on the page in terms of my talents.
Are you religious?
This is kind of private for me. I'm not evangelical or some shit, if you've followed me for any amount of time you know this. I'm a believer in doing my own thing and letting other people do theirs'.
What’s something you wish to have at this moment?
A bigger bookshelf

You! Yes you! Whether you like or hate furries, if you are adult or kid, whatever. Read this. It's important.
We've been waiting WAY too long to be heard.
I've had enough of what I'm seeing.
first, let me introduce myself. I'd say my name but for the moment just call me the Furry Empath. I've just turned thirteen. I hate it though, but deep inside I am still a seven year old with the knowledge of a 19-20 head old... Haha. Serious. I'm a curious cat furry and I love learning new things, but sometimes my (notveryni... Nevermind) mother tells me a bit... Too much.
Anyways. Here I am. The thirteen year old "strange girl" who is going to TRY to SPREAE WORD about something very IMPORTANT.
It's about furries, yes. Now don't turn away because this isn't what you will expect.
I am a cat furry. When I go online though, I see everybody toootally misunderstand furries. The problem is, because of the 1% of furries that do inexplicable things, people are JUST NOTICING that ONE PERCENT and making it seem like the whole group is the same.
So apparently if someone sees you wearing a fursuit, aka an animal costume, fOr FuN, well, you are gonna be called evil.
Then you are gonna end up having to listen to awful stuff that makes me feel like jumping off a cliff. I'm sure you curries out there understand what I am talking about.
STOP. IT. NOW. I'VE HAD IT!
No SERIOUSLY! This is like hating all Ukrainians because you caught a group of Ukrainians stealing from the shop next door. (I used Ukrainians to stress this, because Ukrainians are good people that shouldn't be seen as evil, so are furries.). Come on. You can't just go to a random Ukrainian and tell them to stop being Ukrainian because you saw those Ukrainians stealing from the shop. This is laughable, but in the Furry case this is REALLY not funny. The things that people consider furries as is... Awful. Too awful to express.
Because of what people are considering furries as, furries are literally getting depressed. It causes some major problems, bullying, really bad cyber bullying and even the word furry today is considered an INSULT. Imagine the word UKRAINIAN being an INSULT. I DEMAND THIS TO STOP.
Because of this, furries are getting thoughts they never should have got. Some because of what they hear every day decide to join the lgbt community.
We curries just have enough of these STEREOTYPES THAT MAKE NO SENSE.
So what is a furry?! Someone who loves aNtHrOpOmOrPhIc AnImAlS, and love to draw them, make their own anthro animal OCs, dress up as them, rp as them, etc. What has THAT gotta do with the evil thing you guys are on about?! I don't get the point. People literally hate to see people dressing up as funny animals, WHY, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?! I DON'T GET YOU.
So actually UNDERSTAND what a furry is, LOOK AT THE FURRY FANDOM, and GET A SENSE OF WHAT YOU ARE talking ABOUT, because you guys are driving us nuts.
Please do something, spread word about what curries really are, and end this.
