hello there! my chosen name is Say, I'm a cis-white-bi-ADHD-dyslexic-midwestern gal living here in the USA. I'm in my third year of full time caregiving for my mother with Parkinson's disease, while earning my Associates in Science of Nursing - RN degree at my local community college. I want to share my inner work and the ripple effects I see it playing out in my caregiving, my marriage, relationships and nursing degree. I want to share tips, tricks and deep thought work I do to continue living a full life with cherished memories in it. Part of my series of 1,000 word rarepair fics and definitely G-rated. Not terribly romantic, but Worker 8 tries.

Mustadio moved smoothly through the tavern--a deliberate and mechanical step that did not allow Ramza time to ask how things went or Alicia time to giggle as she pushed by with cake. The heat coming off his pale face would show crimson; he did not want it to be seen.

He cut a path to the inn's backdoor, back arched back with the confidence of a man who belonged wherever he was walking. It was only when he arrived at the stables that he let his shoulders droop. Rafa's flighty hen fluttered backwards as he approached, black down floating away from her to cling to the great steel orb that lay nestled in the straw.

He was miserable. He was alone. He was 500,000 gil poorer.

He was going to work on the damned robot.

Worker 8, for all the ill auspices of their first meeting, little minded being worked upon. As Mustadio knocked about its shell, there was a soft purr as the blue veins of its circuitry flamed back to life. When it began to rouse itself, metal limbs unfurling like a chick come out of an egg, its demeanor seemed almost friendly.

"I await your command, Master!"

"Your right arm's grinding again," Mustadio said in a flat monotone. "Your command's to hold still until I get my spanners and some oil."

The black chocobo had crept back--just enough to betray her curiosity--by the time Mustadio had the machine's arm off. He sat by gently filing the mechanism, a steady scrape of steel against steel as he tried to smooth out new made imperfections.

"Must've been those bandits out by Germinas. Their swordsman knocked you about pretty good."

"Entity: Swordsman knocked me about badly, Master. It was not good."

"It was good for him."

"Given that he met with 1,257 units of sterilizing heat shortly after, I do not assess the action as desirable."

Mustadio, for the first time that day, smiled spontaneously--without any hope somebody might smile back.

"The lubrication in the right arm is now decreasing friction 1.23 times more than in the left arm. I fear this will lead to uneven coordination of upper body tasks."

"You can just say you'd like me to do the other."

There was the thrum of something setting itself into new motion. It's eyes flashed for a second. The chocobo--Mustadio thought he recalled now it had been named Primrose--took a step back.

"I'd like you to do the other, Master."

It's arms were lubricated to its satisfaction: a 0.16% difference so he'd been told. Mustadio had started to do a circuit test on the mysterious globes on its back, hoping it would actually be of some benefit and that nothing would explode. He thought, as he applied the multimeter to the presumable power nodes, that exploding wouldn't be the lowest point of the day. He and the machine had some rapport there anyway.

"I can't believe it." He clicked his tongue as the reading registered. "Were men prone to reverse wire hackjobs even when the Saint walked the earth?"

"It is not my place to question the designs of any Master, Master."

"I'd question any Master setting me up for a short circuit, but you're free to question me there."

The came a whir of heat from somewhere within its casing, as if some thoughtworks piece was spinning very hard to process the statement.

"Don't question me then. Take my word for it." He patted its side as it began to slow to a gentle hum.

"Might I ask why I am being provided with this much attention, Master?"

Its joints were all freshly cleaned and re-oiled. The reverse polarity orb was fixed and would be much safer in doing whatever it did. Its head had been polished, and it glittered in the cast off lantern light from the streets beyond them.

"I hadn't wanted to pay much attention to anyone else the rest of the day." Mustadio bit his inner lip as he tightened a plate screw. "I made a few miscalculations."

"I am VERY GOOD at calculations, Master!"

"I'm not sure you'd have a better read on her, friend." He picked up his emery cloth and began to work on a patch of rust on its chest. "It wasn't the sort of thing you'd be good at measuring."

"What was being measured, Master?"

Mustadio looked around a moment, uncertain as to whether he was comfortable answering even with only the birds to bear audience. He sighed.

"A woman's regard."

He noticed, now that they'd been together for a few hours, that it had begun to mimic some human mannerisms instinctively--that it waved its hand and turned its head with a conversational ease.

"--and this 'lipstick' was supposed to measure units of 'affection'?"

"It was supposed to convey units of mine, Eight. It's not something I think you would understand."

"Affection: a quality signifying emotional preference."

Mustadio nodded. He started to put his spanners away, folding them into their leather wrap in order of size.

"This would be conveyed by the exchange of the 'lipstick.'"

Another nod. He felt very foolish now but didn't want to cut it off.

"And lipstick may be defined as..."

"It's--uh--something a one puts on their lips to look... attractive. I really don't think I can explain."

"Can you specify the originating plant for the stick, Master?"

Everything was packed up. The robot was as worked over as it could be. It was almost past the hour when anybody at the inn would have cold meat left to feed a lodger.

"I hope you feel in better shape now. See you in the--"

Mustadio had not quite noticed that they had reached their hands out to one another as if to shake them--not until the machine reached past his to touch his face.

He grimaced as it traced a diesel slick circle over his lips.

"Very attractive, Master!"

Mustadio laughed through the taste of grease. Worker 8's eyes fired brighter.

All eyes were on the young lovers as the prince attended the wedding of friend Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip at the weekend in Montego Bay, Jamaica. 

Not having seen each other for a fortnight, Harry, 32, and 35-year-old Meghan used the trip as an excuse for a romantic reunion – and their affectionate behaviour set tongues wagging that it might not be long before they, too, are walking up the aisle.

For Meghan, the surroundings are not entirely unfamiliar.

In 2011, she married her first husband – film producer Trevor Engleson – at a resort just 60 miles along the coast. So, is she feeling the love second time around?

He flies in economy, while she takes a private jet

Harry arrived in Jamaica on Wednesday to join the groom’s party ahead of the big day – he was one of 14 ushers.

The royals don’t use private planes for personal engagements, so he took a Virgin Atlantic flight from Gatwick to Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.

The prince did splash out on a premium economy seat, costing upwards of £2,000 return.

Meghan flew in the following day from Toronto, where she’s filming US legal drama Suits, in a private jet that belongs to a friend.

Ever the gentleman, Harry picked her up from the airport, greeting her with a kiss before they drove back to the hotel together.

The luxury resort where JFK stayed

With 110 acres of lush tropical gardens, suites designed by Ralph Lauren and its own private bay, the wedding reception venue is the perfect backdrop for royal romance. 

The Round Hill Resort was built in the 1950s as a series of luxurious cottages for rich and famous visitors. Guests have included JFK and Jackie Kennedy, who spent their honeymoon here.

Grace Kelly, Fred Astaire, Clark Gable, Sir Paul McCartney, and Emma Watson have also stayed.

A hotel worker revealed that Meghan and Harry stayed in a £5,000-a-night premium luxury villa, the resort’s most exclusive accommodation away from prying eyes, which comes with its own housekeeper, two pools and a games room with a bar and pool table.

Ever watchful of their safety, security guards were stationed in rooms nearby.

Guests have breakfast served on their balcony, and options include Jamaican delicacies such as ackee (a fruit like a lychee), saltfish with fried dumplings and callaloo (a leafy green vegetable).

It’s quite a change from Meghan’s first trip to the island during her low-key wedding in 2011.

She and her husband-to-be stayed at the four-star Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, where they indulged in drinking games and wheelbarrow races before saying their vows.

It takes a brave bride to invite glamorous, leggy Meghan to your wedding. But flame-haired Lara Hughes-Young didn’t seem bothered about being outshone.

Lara, 30, a software developer at global technology company ThoughtWorks, knows Harry through her new husband ‘Skippy’, who went to Eton with the prince.

She’s the granddaughter of late Conservative MP Michael Hughes-Young.

Her father holds the title Lord St Helens – making her official title the Honourable Lara Inskip.

She is said to have been ‘singing Meghan’s praises’ since meeting her last year.

They may have been the focus of attention on the day, but Megan and Harry were far from the only notable guests at the wedding.

Harry’s aunt Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was on the list, accompanied, insiders say, by her daughter Eugenie.

After the ceremony, a smiling Fergie, wearing a black minidress with a jewelled neck, was seen posing for photographs with Pastor Conrad Thomas, who officiated the ceremony.

Trying not to upstage the bride

For the ceremony, Meghan chose a £1,200 floral print maxi dress by Canadian designer Erdem. 

Harry opted for a bespoke navy suit, believed to be from his favourite Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes, and teamed with a yellow rose. 

Meghan accessorised her elegant attire with a nude clutch bag and a pair of £249 gold-rimmed sunglasses by Dior to shield her eyes from the hot Jamaican sun.

The bride did her best to stay in the spotlight in a breathtakingly simple white satin gown with a plunging neckline and full, flowing skirt – a direct contrast to Meghan’s high-necked style.

Meghan placed a protective arm on Harry’s back as she steered him out of the church and guests say the pair were very tactile throughout the reception as she was introduced to his old friends. 

At one point they were seen deep in conversation, as a jacketless Harry drank a beer and Meghan an Aperol spritz cocktail as she continued to rub his back.

Minutes later, she moved even closer, gazing into his eyes and putting her arms around his neck.

‘They are both head over heels and don’t care who sees it,’ said an onlooker.

Thoughtline Ereknack

Thoughtline ereknack is a termen I begot to name a forset that showed up in my mind after diving in Ununderstandenliness. Folk, even if before having any skinship with an outhwitly thought, would have a ereknack to follow a sicker knowingness path, they would already have a kindful leaning to see full ground in sicker things, and not cun to see ground in others. This is, however, **not** the same thing as thoughtache or thoughtline tilt, as these are about withfiddling, wrench that one nethermindly or unnethermindly makes to not underfang that his thought may or is wrong.

Overkindlorely and outhwitly askings is in truth more retching than seeing of sooth: even if they are knitty and deep, they don't give us an ending answer, which tells, with no tween, sooth, but rather give us only clues;

Forthen, we are left with only strouts, which, tweenly leads us somewhither;

It's not sheerly the strouts that make folk to onnim an outhwitly belief over another, forwhy, if so, the strouts of the unonnimed belief would be retching things in a less thorough way, which is not true, when we learn things billwhitely; they are evening in suttlings. In truth, since there are good sights from both sides, if sheerly through strouts, one should onnim no belief, since it's groundlessly to choose one as right, while the other is even in "might". One should instead onnim belieflessness;

Therefore there must be something other than strouts that make folk to onnim a belief over another, and this thing is the thoughtline ereknack, a tilt, a kindful thoughtworking that shaped one's anyet so he can see ground only in one of those witcrafts.

I'm not sure that thougtline ereknack can make a head uncun to believe something in which he is not ereknackened to see ground. Even if I believe it's uneath, and likely not in all happenings, but in the great, I think it is, yes, comenly that a head ends up changing from the ereknackened belief to an unereknackened one, or even choosing an unereknackened belief right away.

Hello! I really like ur sides and i wanted to ask some questions about them

1) do their color associations have any meaning to them?

2) how did you come up with their logos?

1) the color associations don't have any super deep meanings, they're just the immediate associations my brain made when i was originally designing them. some of them have semi-coherent thought processes (rat - orangey-gold because clockwork machinery, pash - green because i associate vivacity and energy with that color, hate - blue, because 'feeling blue'), but mostly it's like. hey. i like colors. i'm gonna give you that color.

2) oh, the logos were kind of spur of the moment too! but fun to come up with, and they do have a bit of thoughtwork behind them.

Rationality - clock inscribed within a cog, because metathinking and cogs-within-cogs is kind of her entire M.O., and she... you know, has an entire think about engineering and timing. I also kind of like the redundancy of having a clock within a clock component, since she's deeply contradictory like that.

Inspiration - lightbulb (because classic lightbulb flash of inspiration!) with flowers and vines making up the components (because... she likes nature, and flowers!)

Passion - heart getting stabbed. I feel like this is somewhat self-explanatory.

Hate - stylized staring eye with a single teardrop emerging. It's kind of an allusion to her tattoos (since a lot of them are staring eyes that actually blink and dart around when you least expect, a kind of 'sleeping with one (or many) eye open' thing), and... I realized, belatedly, that I'd taken a little inspiration from the Eye of Horus too. Which kind of makes sense because it's a symbol of protection.

Dee - shadowy figure within a mirror. It's simultaneously a 'I reflect you' thing, and 'I am a creepy motherfucker who's always standing there, smiling ominously' thing. She's also deeply Self-absorbed, which is why the mirror really makes sense for her.

This is an example of how we rob ourselves of the happiness the world is trying to give us. The happiness we are craving. It’s there, and we are STILL choosing something else. This is WHY self awareness is incredibly important. For example 1: when I am not with my son, Rome, I can feel a bit guilty and I focus on the “missing” of him which makes me a bit sad… but when I’m not with him, I’m spending incredibly valuable time with Stephen. The opposite: when I’m with Rome, I crave quality time with Stephen. Queue self awareness: “If I don’t get a grip on this and consciously choose the love and happiness in that moment, I’ll default to “missing”, creating misery, and literally miss out on the happiness I’m simultaneously creating 🤯 💥 This is an example I’m sure a lot of parents can relate to but there are many many more (ie: simply wishing the greatness in front of you was something other than what it is….)
