i'm a little late to the art school slander, but i just wanted to say that as someone who has attended multiple art schools, including iceland but also from my homeland which is a third world country, i can guarantee you they all suck to a certain level. european schools are expensive as shit and even though my university is public, the pandemic and a current strike have made extremely difficult to get my degree almost a decade after i started college.

if you want to drop out of school that's all fine and dandy imo, and that shouldn't stop from making art as a hobby or as a profession. i studied film photography (fine arts) and i'm currently working on a film archive, which i really like. none of my coworkers besides me studied anything related to art. and none of my college friends are working in the art market or anything like that (the lucky ones are doing design or became tattoo artists, which are somehow art related).

idk if this was helpful at all and i hope you can get what you can from your uni if you decide to stay, and if not, get it somewhere else.

I want the benefits of having my degree but wowzers my uni sucks, might just push through though since it's the quickest way of getting said degree
