I'm going to top out at 29 reps on this and consider that full speed, for me. Even at this speed my form has to change to where I'm basically throwing the weights, which by the way has its own merits when applied judiciously. This #kbfitbrittholidaychallenge got me to try these non-fixated reps and then once I got a taste of it I wanted to see how far I can push it. I would have to refine the technique further to go 30 or more reps per minute and at this point it loses shape so there's no reason to do it. That's why it's a very good idea that there's the concept of fixation in lifting because it shows absolute control and "mastery" of the weight. Whether or not a human judge properly gauges fixation is a totally different discussion, and is subjective. The thing about social media is there's no context and just because somebody posts something on the Internet doesn't mean that it's a prescription for others. I know my level I know what I'm good at and what I'm not and so I can do this kind of stuff on occasion without causing myself injury. But remember the first rule of training is to "first, do no harm". I've had my fun with that particular challenge and feel there's nowhere more to go with this weight in non-fixated so it all goes back to focusing on fixated reps :) #alwayslearning #growth #speed #power #fun #kettlebell #training #fitness #fast #throw #throwweights #ballistic #athlete #lightweightbaby
