Hey I just downloaded the Sims 3 for mac & i'm wondering where i should put the "sims3pack" files? i downloaded a world and its a sims3pack. i put it in the Downloads folder but when im in the launcher and click install, it says critical system failure :(( please help me!!

Hi, I’d recommend converting them into packages!

Hi, no I don’t but I shared the sims3pack of him here. So if you want you can install the sims3pack or you can convert the sims3pack to package and then use the eggviewer tool by gruesim. It will tell you the names of the cc used when you drag the package file on the program.

Hi, yes I do. I didn't have problems except for one invisible outfit in CAS. You could backup the ccmerged file and try it.

Simblr Community Challenge

1. How long have you been playing the sims?

The first Sims game I saw was actually Sims 1 haha. I guess it was 2003, a  friend showed it to me. A year later 2004 or 05, I was at another friend’s house and she just got the Sims 2. I always wanted to play as well but she only allowed me to watch her play lol. So I got the game myself but I bought the Sims 2 H&M Accessoires first without knowing you’ll need the base game. So I’ve been playing sims for 15-16 years now. I also remember that I lent a friend my sims 3 base game and wasn’t getting it back for so long. 

2. What type of simblr are you?

 I guess I’m more of a CAS person but i also love decorating and building.

3. How long have you been a simblr, and why did you become one?

I discovered simblr in 2013. I was fascinated at how beautiful sims could look. I started my tumblr in November of 2013. Back then I was playing sims on a shitty laptop. It was such a pain, I was waiting ages for sims to load. 

4. Which generation of sims do you primarily play?

Sims 3, but I also love playing Sims 2.
