Just had some fun imagining what evolution would do to a night fury in a hidden world

So in my Fury Family Verse, The Nine Realms isn't canon. However, I wanted to do a verse form of Thunder just to play with his design. In my verse,  he is a descendent from Pouncer's line and with no new night fury genetics added to the pool for over 1500 years, needless to say the night fury traits are almost gone. Thunder is still slightly bigger than the average light fury and he also has an extra set of rounded ear nubs and a very light grey coloration left over from the old night fury lineage.

I Redesigned Thunder

I hate his og design because it implies a lot of inbreeding and I also hate the powerset they gave him (like, lightening was a perk, not a breath ability)

So back comes plasma blast, I made the spinal fin like the Light Fury’s but spiker, he still has the Night Fury wings and tail and he is a LOT more hostile then og

I’ve essentially made him like Spirit from the original movie, Tom has to work to earn the right to ride him

Night Light/Thunder redesign!

I wish I had changed more, but my mind wasn't very creative at the moment, but I'm still happy with the result!

Made this with Krita and Huion tablet!

I spent almost an hour trying to make the thunder mark, I spent a lot of time testing different brushes.

I imagine the Night Lights species having several variations in colors, ablities, anatomy and biology, since there weren't enough Light Furies to maintain the genes between Night Furies and Light Furies, then eventually they started to mate with dragons of other species, and the genes of other dragons changed the species, in this version, there are no pure Night Lights.

Thunder is no longer the product of generations of incest!

I probably could come up with lore on why he looks like that, but primarily, I just wanted to try this thing.

A little Thunder redesign from the nine realms.

Tried to keep most of his traits more on the light fury side but kept some darker patches that come from distant night fury genes, and also kept the lightening marking on his nose.

Also on another note I’m hoping to do drawtober with my own word list throughout October, they’ll be pretty minimal drawings but I’m hoping to get one done for each day :)

All-Star LAW (Living Assault Weapons), later All-Star Pax

After Raya's escape became known to the owners of the lab were her village was being held, they deploy the LAW to find and recapture her. The initial strike team consisted of Peacemaker (Kristoffer Schmidt, son of LAW founder Augustus Schmidt), The Beetle (Teodor Kordey, an inventor on loan from REACH after converting himself into a partial cyborg), Deadly Nightshade (Eve of Eden) and The Thunderbolt ("John Smith") both results of similar experiments to The Atom in using isolated communities to breed powerful metahumans for military use.

After several confrontations with Atom and the All-Stars, the entire team would abandon LAW and join Raya as the Pax.

So naturally, I’ve decided to redesign and rewrite the entire show with the help of @demigod-of-the-agni

We’re both normal and sane
