What! My first character ref… and it’s for a background character. Ferncloud specifically. I was planning to do this with Star Fireheart… but inspiration Said No.

But anyways, Ferncloud is always number one in my heart. Tired woman who have a shitty brother and stay optimistic my beloved.

What’s in her bag?

Ferncloud is a Keeper of the Thundercrash Bastion(camp), who helps keep it clean and watch after the Thundercrash’s kittens. As such, she has a fluffbit(toy rabbit made out of wool), comfrey for the elder’s aches, and a comb to untangle knots in fur. She also has a knife, as all adults do.

Sup, it's almost lunch time, and my stomach is making think of the space game. Of subjugators can use the darkness elements, each on on it's own way, not just the same enemy with different color schemes for their powers and look, wouldn't interesting to have tormentors to light elements other than void. I did RoN, and I know Nezarec is all about void, but it would be cool to have other elements available for his minis. I can imagine arc tormentors dashing instead of leaping, and solar tormentors spinning like fire tornadoes.

Oooh Tormentors with other elements would be super cool and honestly terrifying. Hell, for solar we already have a precedent with the scythe from Haunted which is solar.

I like the void shenanigans, but it would be super interesting to see more variety. Similarly, I'd like for Hive Lighbearers to also diversify at some point. It would be nice seeing acolytes, wizards and knights using other elements.

The poll is over, but I do wanna weigh in a bit. Space marines are tough, to be sure, but even in-universe they're shown to be nothing compared to the gods they fight the followers of. IIRC (my 40k knowledge is somewhat limited, admittidly) there are even some legions that have fallen to and follow said gods.

Meanwhile, in Destiny canon, guardians regularly not only kill gods, but take what is left afterwards and twist it into weaponry serving them. Sure, instances of god-killing are usually raids, which have 6 guardians, but at least one god-killing raid has been cleared by just a single guardian. Add in the fact that guardians get multiple lives and are implied to be much stronger than the game mechanics typically show and i don't think the space marines stand any sort of chance at all.

In Destiny terms, space marines are probably equivalent to something like a champion cabal - tough, to be sure, but ultimately little more than a molehill conpared to some of the mountains they've overcome. Space marines might have intimidating armor and big guns, but guardians have multiple lives, space magic in 5 different flavors of 'fuck you', theoretically infinite lives, significantly more mobility, and equally big guns (some of which are arguably more powerful than what space marines get access to).

New event in Destiny 2 (Guardian Games 2024) means I can make a new post about 3 more Guardians who remember pieces of their past lives!

A Thundercrash main Titan that is usually more than happy to partake in property damage, won't break down the front door of a long abandoned, suburban house his patrol team found. His teammates try to look for a broken window to enter through but the Titan somehow knew that in the plant pot in the front garden, under and old hand-painted rock, laid a small key. He tried it in the door and *click* it opened. He waved at his teammates who were still outside through the window.

A Solar Warlock exploring a dilapidated pre-Golden Age shopping mall. She moves carefully from ruined store to ruined store, keeping her trusty Drang close at hand. Finding nothing of importance, she makes her way to a set of stairs in the centre of the complex, takes the first step and comes to a halt. She waits but nothing happens. She stares at her feet but nothing happens. Then, after an embarrassingly long time, she remembers about escalators and how she had just stopped and waited for a pre-Golden Age escalator. The Warlock went home that day, empty handed.

A Void Hunter that doesn't feel comfortable with empty pockets. They can't put their hands in their pockets because they need to be ready, finger on trigger at all times. In exchange it feels like something is missing or that they're forgetting something and the nagging feeling has caused trouble on missions before. The solution, if you could call it that, was actually quite simple. The Hunter took to carrying around a rock that they found on the floor. The oblong rock was smooth, flat and not too heavy. It was a nice rock. Their rock.

As it turned out, Steve had been in the area —well, a state over— and on his way back to New York when his quinjet radar picked some troubling alien activity over Iowa, prompting him to make a stop to investigate. Thankfully it seemed like John had the thing covered by the time he finally arrived.

He relents, throwing his shield onto his back now that the fight had ended. "Nice to see you, John... what exactly happened here? Are you with Thor?"

after bonding with mjolnir, or undrjarn as he called it now, there was a routine that seemed to form. whenever john picked up some unusual activity somewhere in the world, his hammer was already one step ahead of the astrophysicist. they would show up, find some aliens popping up or whatever other force and together they took it down. john understood the bond thor had with mjolnir now.

undrjarn brought him out to some small town in rural iowa where a small scale invasion was happening. without a second thought, john jumped into battle.

it wasn't until there was only one enemy left that john noticed another hero arrived. "looks like i beat you here." he said, swinging his hammer in his hand before throwing it at the last alien who fell over dead.

Once Childe looked away from the report he'd been offered, the sight she'd presented would probably be a familiar one - Kag had taken to leaning back in her seat, arms crossed over her chest, and a completely unamused, blunt expression stared back, completely ignoring the small cut on her cheek. He had to take incident reports seriously, she knew that. If he was going to keep his men under control and working towards anything actually productive, he needed to take the reins and be a leader, but...

"He asked for it," she'd eventually offer, leveling her unamused stare on her husband's familiar dull blue. Sure, she hadn't needed to start a fight based on a pointless, dumb insult from someone new, especially when they weren't yet aware who she was and just had a habit of shooting their mouth off, but all the same, nobody had told her not to, either! She'd been in need of an outlet, far too many things on her plate and time away from Childe making her temper relatively volatile, and it'd just led to an explosion - The report was justified, she'd never deny that. Still...
