made an attempt at figuring out tigerfam genetics and had reasoned my way to "tigerstar and goldenflower are both trans and that's why brambleclaw isn't red" but gave up when i remembered that sasha is a natural mink (probably) and mothwing just straight up can't be a spotted red tabby because in what fucking universe does that make sense.

unless mothwing and brambleclaw swap mothers and mothwing is trans.

mini rewrite thing we're doing: Swiftpaw's Wish (tigerfam family tree)

so. swiftpaw lives... and replaces brambleclaw in nearly every aspect.

because bramble died saving him and brightpaw.

Notes: Crowfrost, Toadstep, and Nightheart are mtf. Rowanstar, (later in life) Rowankit, and Flametail are mtnb, while rosepetal and finchlight are ftnb.

Rosepetal and Toadstep were honor sired by swiftwish before daisy and him were official, as daisy came to him wanting them as a way to feel more part of the clan. He was a little uncomfortable but figured one favor wouldn't be wrong, right? So he obliged, and his eldest child and daughter were the first to their little family. Surprise, though! Years later he realizes after a long time of working on himself that he loves daisy, and boy! She loves him back. So they get together and have nightheart (tuftkit) and finchlight (goldenkit). Neither parent was upset or mad that their kits changed their names, as they knew how important their new names were to their identities.

idea: white bramblestar with black markings, and when he's possessed his markings start... disintegrating?? like they start kinda chipping apart like dust in a desert wind, and they get a little greyer too mixing with the white fur. slowly, his markings mirror ashfur's flecks too

i accidentally went the ‘melting’ route but i still think it works. it also works with my white tigerstar design! i’m beginning to think white!tigerfam is my new hc,,,

UR GOOD I've been thinking a lot about these since the concept is still pretty loose in my brain:

-CinderPelt is trained by Sandstorm in this; Sandstorm takes over a lot of FireStar's little events/tasks in this!

-GreyStripe leaves ThunderClan permanently, joining his and SilverStreams kits in RiverClan. Since there is no FireHeart to go back to, GreyStripe lives a long life eating fish and being there for his kids!

-RavenPaw is 'killed' in an accident shortly after Redtails death.

-Sasha does not happen, but TigerStar does have Hawk, Moth, and Tadpole with GoldenFlower (they are a bitter unhappy couple but Golden loves her babies). Bramble and Tawny are still their older siblings! -I DO have a tigerfam design/goldenflower design I'll be putting out soon for this au!! I wanna do Bramble, tawny, moth, hawk, and tadpole as GoldenTiger kits. -YellowFang is chased out of ThunderClan into twoleg place, where she is adopted by an old old woman, living in a yard next to the woods. She's important to the SandRusty kit's story later on!! SpottedLeaf withers due to her terrible old wounds from ClawFace and struggles to teach DandelionPaw (leafPaw), so YellowFang, as a kittyPet, sneaks DandelionPaw into her home to teach her at night. SpottedLeaf is aware of this arrangement and encourages it!

Speaking of family trees, what are your plans for ShadowClans? If memory serves, it's unfixable right?

Yep. ShadowClan's needs to be completely thrown out, even I am not capable of fixing it.

I'll be posting a better diagnosis of it when we get there, but it's COMPLETELY fucked. A total dead-end. Half of the Clan is descended from Snowbird. They killed Strikestone, so the only way the Tigerfam continues is DIRECTLY from tigerHeartstar with Crowfrost's contributions extinct. Antfur got killed unceremoniously.

But wait! There's more!

Modern ShadowClan has a Missing Generation Fog between the Forest and Lake, which only Rowanclaw crossed. So if you make a family tree tracking the Toadnettlepool polycule, or Yellowfang’s family, or Blackstar, throw it out. You don't even use it.

And when it IS relevant? Like for Ivytail, who is said to be Blackstar's niece in the Missing Kits content? No descendants. There is only Snowbird. SnowbirdClan.

Snowkin, Tigerkin, and then there's Slate/Cinnamon and Stonewing/Mate (cant remember his mate's name off the top of my head) who are *couples* desperately trying to fix the slow-moving trainwreck that is ShadowClan's inevitable inbreeding problem.

So, bottom line is, not even Bonefall can fix it. I'm gonna take a hammer to the Snowbird family when we get there, BB!ShadowClan allegiences are going to look significantly different from canon.

Wiki said that he's supposed to look a loot like Brambleclaw, so here we are. I did give him the ear tufts that I gave Tawnypelt. I do also headcanon him to be a bit smaller than Bramble but still have that tigerfam bulk
