Tom was glad that when he had texted Celia thanking her for the cookies and she’d actually replied. He’d half thought he might’ve scared her off after the party, considering she’d left early and it clearly hadn’t been her thing. But, she texted him back and he’d invited her out again on his next day off. 

So, here he was at the stables, waiting for her to show up. He was excited to go for a ride. Him and Phil had gone out once or twice since they’d come to town, but it was different than Tom was used to, which was riding every day, several times a day--exercising many of the horses on the farm. 

He had brought some sugar cubes in his pocket and he was posted up outside Samson’s stall, feeding him a few and giving him a few pats, saying ‘ello to him. When he heard footsteps coming down the barn aisle he turned and smiled at Celia. “Hello!” he called, making Samson snort at him. Tom gave the stallion a solid pat on his silver neck. “You look lovely. How’re you?”

Inspired by the millenial kintsugi technique, this photograph represents the fragility of the human body, covering it with the traditional patterns of ancient Chinese porcelain and coating the broken pieces with gold.This gold emerges from the mask and spreads through the body, drawing lungs with its cracks. With this, it is implied that the mask protects our respiratory system to face the current threat that coronavirus represents.
