After greeting the boy who had just walked in, it took Steve only a few minutes to realize who he was. Stark’s new sweetheart —the one he’d been mentioning a lot lately— said hello to everyone, then casually took a seat on Tony’s lap at the bar.

Steve was mid-sip of his champagne when Stephen arrived. He walked in with purpose, straight through the crowd, leaned down…

…and kissed the boy sitting on Tony’s lap.

Softly. Intimately. Like he’d done it a hundred times before.

He said something Steve couldn’t hear, ran a hand through the boy’s hair, and moved on to greet the rest.

No. This wasn’t a throuple.

It became clear soon enough: That boy was being loved —separately, fully— by two different men.
