This post is bittersweet and poor Kaddy and half of snoops refused to play the game so plz look past half a dog 🤣🙃 Now buckle up. Once upon a time there was this amazing shop called Alice in Arcade Land. When I first went there I was mesmerised. I wanted to live there. It was filled with all things vinty. It was like Angie heaven. Like the psycho I am I begged for a job and the lovely shop owner, my now my best friend Mel was like Ooooookkkkkk and the job was mine (she wasn’t hiring lol) Along with my obsession for this quirky little shop a beautiful friendship blossomed and Mel is without a doubt one of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. When she found out I was having a baby girl she gifted me this handmade vintage dress for Kaddy and I’ve stared at it almost every day since! Waiting ever so patiently for it to fit my tiny child who has always been so small and always taken SO LONG to fit anything Id kept aside for her. WELL TODAY IS THAT EFFING DAY LOL!!!!!!! She finally fits it and it looks just as amazing as I’d hoped and all the feelings of Alice, my love for the shop, the customers, the laughs, the memories, they all came flooding back like a god damn tidal wave as I looked at my not so tiny girl now, wearing a piece of my heart and a piece of Toowoomba history. A very special moment but equally sad.
