Fun Fact
BuzzFeed published a report claiming that Tumblr was utilized as a distribution channel for Russian agents to influence American voting habits during the 2016 presidential election in Feb 2018.
ngl boeing and boston showing up in the preview together for next week's episode had me laughing out loud because it just took me so off guard
like say what you will about the plot cohesion and character arcs etc. etc. and it's all fair! but also objectively i must admit that it is soooo funny to me that boeing was introduced to the show purely to be yeeted around from one couple to the next like he's Only Friends' gay version of a final boss level enemy that each pairing must battle against in order to win their happy relationship endgames
You spent so much money to fly over there, but you couldn’t even get a photo of me. Why? Because you didn’t know the Gebauers already abandoned me 12 years ago.
[ID: 6 gifs of woo do-hwan as kim min-joon & yoo ji-tae as choi kang-woo in "mad dog". the purples and greens have been emphasized. kang-woo grabs min-joon by the throat and slams him back into the wall, baring his teeth and asking, "are you here to die?" after the initial shock wears off, min-joon only smiles and tauntingly answers, "kill me, if you can." /end ID]
Just enough angst and drama, mixed with cuteness, sweetness, & light.
The two leads were very good, but I absolutely LOVED the odd quirkiness, depicted by Nan Shi An, as Giseop—he was exquisite!
One is a perfectionist, looking for his father’s attention and love; the other is a pushover, who just can’t say no—so, if he is willing to go out with you, because you asked, it’s meaningless.

I’m, presently, watching it over again! (After having just finished it).
(And the actor, who portrays Balgeum, [one of the second couple] is really good looking!)
This is my favourite shot of Shin Jae Ha in the entirety of season 2.
As an actor myself, I can't stop thinking about it because - LOOK. He is insane for capturing all that on his face in one go. Do you see how it's brimming with conflict and visceral emotions that look only barely contained???
But that's not even the best part.
This scene is the climax of his character arc. And the fact that you already know before he's even said a word that THIS is the most tortured his character has ever felt, the fact that you can tell just by looking at him- at the unspilled tears in his eyes, the tension in his facial muscles, the abject grief in his brow- is flipping monumental. His character never had this look on his face before, not once in the 15 episodes before this. Ever.
And that tells me he lived and breathed as On Ha Jun from start to finish. He was mad for this role and I respect him so fucking much for that.
do you know about elvis being a vampire in what we do in the shadows? https://elvismentions.tumblr.com/post/698118959710470144/vampire-elvis-in-what-we-do-in-the-shadows-s02ep07
ain't that the truth, elvis. 😌
hahaha yessss i've seen this pop up! i haven't watched the show though, but i love vampyyyy el. elvis in the 70s was a good vampire era with his outfits and all
BUT
elvis in the 50s being surrounded by fangirls left and right where ever he goes, making it so much easier for him to have a lil bite and getting comfortable with his immortality and vampirism but also getting a lil smug with it, but then i also see him sneaking into hospitals to feed people (esp children) his blood so they'll get better. and and and during interviews when reporters ask him stupid questions he'll give like little hints of him not being human, but they're so obvious that it makes people laugh because vampires are just a silly little fairytale, right?
"how much sleep do you get at night, elvis?"
"sleep? i don't sleep at all, i'm like some kind of vampire- got energy for days"
would show his fangs and shift his face into its vampiric state on stage for like a second, but long enough to make people at the front row be like "omg????"
It's crazy how enjoyable writing is when you're doing it of your own volition, about a subject you enjoy, at your own pace, with no actual obligations associated with it. I've always heard people that do creative writing regularly as a hobby say this, but it really is true how much schools absolutely fail at both teaching writing skills, but also giving kids the motivation to actually want to write. Like turns out writing is actually really fun and creatively satisfying when you're not required to write a long essay about a topic that you could not care less about. Like I've known this for a while, for a couple years now I've made it a habit to write down notes when I'm experiencing some kind of media that I really enjoy and then I usually write down a short little review or just my thoughts about it afterwards, but recently it's become like, extremely obvious how much I enjoy the process and how much I fucking hated writing in school. I remember anytime I had to write any kind of opinion piece I felt like I just had to write the most basic thing imaginable, following whatever stance had the most solid evidence, even if I didn't actually agree with it at all, and to get a good grade that literally was what I needed to do. Now tho, now I can just write 5 paragraphs about how I think Shinki is the objective best Touhou character despite having barely any existing solid personality or information about them, and like actually enjoy writing those 5 paragraphs that are really just me repeating "I like her :)" with different vocabulary over and over. And the best part is like, who's gonna judge me? the random guy on the internet? I'll fight that guy, and I'll win, and then they'll have to say sorry and then sign my petition to get a Shinki fumo made. This applies to all artforms btw, they're all fun and cool when you're not being graded/paid based on it's "objective" quality and aren't making them for something/someone else that you do not give a fuck about at all.
