Could you share more about your Topclair Bioshock Modern AU? I am a sucker for those two.

This is a VERY old idea I shared with NeverwinterThistle (who I think is still on AO3 and one of the most GORGEOUS writers of my generations in my opinion) but basically:

Augustus Sinclair is a somewhat-shady lawyer; he takes cases no one else will as the sort of self proclaimed "people's lawyer" which uhhhhh usually just means he gets paid to argue for a helpless case. Something between an "ambulance chaser" and a mob lawyer. But anyway, one day he finds a horribly scarred mute man in his office who has come based on Sinclair's promises to take any case. Through a series of written answers on a notepad, the man (Juan aka "Delta") explains that he was a reporter disfigured while reporting overseas (losing his voice and a leg and covering much of his body with scar tissue) and he wants to win custody of his eleven year old daughter from her mother.

So Sinclair looks at this case, of trying to take a little girl away from her rich white suburban mother and give her to a disabled reporter and goes "yeah that's easy money" but then he gets to see how Delta loves this girl he so seldom gets to see and how kind he is, especially in the face of the mother Sophia who is running for office and trying to erase the fact that she had a biracial child out of wedlock and Sinclair goes "aw fuck I'm gay AND I care" with the same energy of that SpongeBob meme from the bad breath episode

Anyway it still needs a lot of work to avoid misogyny regarding Sophia (who uhhhhh was honestly kind of right about some stuff, I love Bioshock but some worldviews are just More Wrong than others and trying to claim capitalism is just as bad as socialism when capitalism had traps inside their vending machines that would hurt you if you tried to hack the prices lower and socialism literally gave out Eve via vending machines to help their addicted populace is just. uuuuuhhghghghgg) but the IMPORTANT thing is that they kissed. A lot. As they should, because Delta is best dad/daddy and Sinclair deserves to get railed.

Hi I'm sorry for being ill about bioshock on main but something just hit me like a train I need you all to see my vision

So in a removed audio diary, Sinclair (paraphrasing here) talks about how when he was younger, his grandpa worked on making the Panama canal, claiming to do it for the sake of others and "the greater good". He ended up drowning while doing the job, and basically imprinted this fact of "the only efforts worth putting in are for myself", and we can see this throughout the rest of his lore in the Rapture; renting out inmates of Persephone to test on, using cheap labor, he didn't care which side tested his stuff as long as it was business, ect. This was all for his own personal gain, to spread his businesses throughout rapture, not for anyone else. And even through the first few parts of Bioshock 2 in general he talks about going back up to the surface with some of Rapture's technologies to make some money.

However, this take a complete 180 near the end of his story. When Sinclair gets put into the Big Daddy suit, he tells Delta not to blame himself with his death and to stick it to Sofia after he dies and let Eleanor see the sun. He literally begs and pleads Delta to kill him, not let him hurt Eleanor, to stay, and he cries out whenever he kills Delta. He feels remorseful, horrible, everything under the umbrella because of what he's doing to him. Obviously, this is not in his control, as Sofia (i hope she explodes) is the one controlling him, but that doesn't disregard the fact that he actually has feelings for someone else, that he cares about someone else, and that he would be "happy" to die for someone else: Delta. And eventually, he does die, for Delta, in the City of Rapture, under the Atlantic ocean.

Just like his grandpa, Augustus Sinclair dies in the water for the greater good, for the sake of another.

They had finally escaped.

Mark could hardly believe it as the bathysphere began to move away from the crumbling city of Rapture.

They were out. They were finally out.

He began to laugh, the sound high and manic, filled with disbelief and relief.

"You alright there, sport?" Sinclair asked, wincing a bit as he leaned back against the bathysphere wall. Delta made a concerned noise, placing a hand on Sinclair's shoulder. He'd removed his helmet for the moment because one of the Little Sisters had wanted to wear it.

"Don't worry, chief. I'm just a little sore," Sinclair assured him quietly.

"I'm more than alright!" Mark declared, turning away from the porthole. "We're out! We made it!"

"We did," Eleanor agreed, giving a weary smile from where she sat with the collection of rescued Little Sisters.

Mark laughed again, almost unable to believe their luck. The adrenaline of their escape hadn't yet worn off, which might have been why he did what he did.

Still riding the high of their success, he grabbed Delta and Sinclair, dragging their faces close to his.

"Sport, what are you-?" Sinclair began, only to be cut off as Mark slammed his lips into Sinclair's before turning and doing the same to Delta.

Upon doing this, he let go of them and turned away, continuing to laugh and declare that they had escaped. Delta and Sinclair were both left stunned, staring straight ahead with wide eyes as they tried to process what had just happened.

"Mr. Meltzer!" Eleanor exclaimed, jumping to her feet.

"What?" Mark turned her to her, seemingly unaware of the implications of what he'd done.

"That was highly inappropriate, Mr. Meltzer," Eleanor said, folding her arms. "And in front of your daughter, too."

"You're in trouble~" One of the Little Sisters whispered.

"In front of my..." Mark began, frowning slightly. This frown soon gave way to an expression of shock and horror, though, as he finally processed what he'd done.

"I mean, I certainly didn't mind it," Sinclair spoke up, managing a smile. "However, I'd appreciate it if you'd ask next time instead of springing it on me like that."

Delta nodded slowly, pointing to Sinclair and giving a thumbs up as if to say that he agreed with what Sinclair had just said.

"I'm so sorry," Mark said, his face going bright red as he put his hands up in a gesture of surrender. "I didn't mean to..." He trailed off, very much wishing a hole would open up and swallow him.

He wasn't upset that he'd kissed Sinclair and Delta. They were both very fine men. Delta had such a big heart, and Mark would be lying if he said his heart didn't melt a little every time he watched Delta interact with the Little Sisters. And Sinclair was incredibly charming and, although he knew the other man would deny it, he felt Sinclair had a good heart as well. Sinclair and Delta were both incredible people. No, what upset Mark about the situation was that he'd kissed them without asking.

"It's alright," Sinclair assured him. "Like I said, I didn't mind."

Delta nodded in agreement.

"You're... sure it's alright?" Eleanor asked, watching Mark warily.

Delta nodded again, giving her a thumbs up. Still, he collected his helmet from the Little Sister who'd been playing with it, and put it back on before settling back beside Sinclair.

"It... really is alright?" Mark asked.

"It's alright," Sinclair confirmed. "Although, I would've thought a handsome young man like yourself could do better than an old fart like myself."

Delta made a noise that might have been a chastisement, shaking his head.

"Don't sell yourself short," Mark said, echoing Delta's chastising tone. "You're a fine man. You're both very fine men."

Delta nodded, giving an affirmative groan.

Sinclair chuckled. "You're not so bad yourself, sport."

"Daddy, are you going to marry them?" Cindy suddenly asked.

"Cindy!" Mark sputtered, his face going bright red again.

"You said you and Mommy split up, so are you gonna marry them?" Cindy pointed at Sinclair and Delta.

"I think it's a bit soon for plans like that, sweetpea," Sinclair said with a weak laugh. "We haven't known your daddy all that long."

"Okay." Cindy nodded.

"I'm going to sleep," Mark announced, going to the other side of the bathysphere to lie down. The adrenaline was starting to wear off and he was realizing he was way too tired to have this conversation.

"We'll wake you up when we see land," Eleanor said.

"Or a boat," Sinclair added. "Or anything really."

"Sounds good," Mark mumbled, his eyes already beginning to droop shut.

He had a feeling he wasn't about to live that kiss thing down any time soon.

And strangely, he didn't really mind.

I think so, kind of? When I was first designing the my versions Disciples. I thought they looked really...boring, but that's kind of due to their models being reused ones and not their own. So I thought it would be really funny to color coordinate their ties.

After many months of searching I finally got a complete out of box NECA Subject Delta!

I feel like the NECA Delta outside the box but NOT missing any bits was somehow harder to find for a reasonable price than the ThreeZero Delta. I did just get lucky with the ThreeZero Delta though. But yep here he is, securely packaged and all bits accounted for and everything looking good and handsome.

And most importantly, after a very smart $150 investment, I can finally do this:

I think I did it, I love these two with all my heart. I really never draw delta in much detail when I draw him in his suit so this is the first time I’ve done it.
