Random-Mailbox's Favorite Sailor Moon Fics - Week 22 - Friends to Lovers

I think this may have been the post I have been looking forward to the most, so thank you tophat for picking it as this week’s theme (see end of last week's post for the story behind it). Friends to Lovers is more manga than anime characterization in most cases, which is a nice change to the constant arguing we get with the OG anime compliant stories.

It's You (I Fell Into) - @idesofnovember

Usagi literally trips over air and falls onto Mamoru on his first day of being the new engineer at the company she works for. As they start to spend more time together both in and out of the office, they get into a pattern that will require clearing up of misunderstandings before someone gets hurt. Also this art piece titled "Before you go in" by @iamcharlotte88 totally fits into the end of chapter 3 / start of chapter 4 of this story.

It's Always Been You - Beej88

In this non-senshi AU, little Usagi finds Mamoru in his hospital room and declares that since he is her best friend he will never be alone again. As he moves through foster care, Tsukinos always keep an eye on him, with him becoming an integral part of the family. Except that to him, Usagi means so much more than that, and she herself doesn’t realise yet what Mamoru means to her.

The Ghosts Of Lake Yokai - @floraone

This is the lemoniest story of the bunch. It is an aged up retelling of the original anime episode, BUT if the Starlight Tower stand-off turned out completely differently, with Mamoru joining the senshi team as the result. This one also features magical healing 🍆, which is always welcome in my books 😏

Not Him, Please? - @uglygreenjacket

Mamoru has long ago realized that he was in love with Usagi but chosen to keep himself in check best he can to stay in her life as one of her best friends. But when mixing alcohol, jealousy and a birthday party, even best intentions can go astray.

Finally Mine - @reispinkoveralls

Having woken up after defeating Chaos at the Cauldron, Usagi rushes to Mamoru's place to make sure he is back as well. In this AU, they have been fighting together as a team, and Usagi chose to not worry him overseas when a new enemy appeared. This one is also a 🍋🍋

Miraculous Musings: Vignettes of a Miracle Romance - Chapter 25: Fairy - @goddessalthena

This one-shot gives us a glimpse of an AU that us readers will hopefully get to see in full one day. The set-up is that our favorite duo has known each other since childhood and Mamoru gets something incredibly thoughtful as a gift for Usagi.

A ship I have with said character: i think sado and rebecha are a fun duo, their personalities contrast really well. also considering that they both first appear in combat arena x and, for the most part, where one shows up so does the other. love how many crackships from other fandoms there are with her too

A BROTP I have with said character: friend jokingly proposed jeremiah and her having a sibling relationship due to how eerily similar they are as characters + her stealing his monocle and him stealing her tophat but honestly? i kind of dig it

A NOTP I have with said character: really just any man in the game's cast. idk i just can't really see it

A random headcanon: she's very short in combat arena x, but i think that she has the ability to change her height at will and LOVES being freakishly tall. when she gets the chance she will tower over others

General Opinion over said character: i think daniel mullins sold his soul to make her because she's. one of the best characters ive ever seen. in every aspect. this is the perfect character i'm so charmed by her

THIS IS NON-CANON!! NON!! CANON!! But the scenario is funny so I'm writing about it!

Juliano crosses his arms as he watches Domain and Forum talk near the empty seats in the circus tent. There are soft blushes on both of their cheeks, and neither came really maintain eye contact for long.

He narrows his eyes at them, inhaling slowly. Please, whatever holy being is above, he thinks. Let them be dating. Please. Please please please.

He had wanted to ask when he first returned but never really had the chance to. One thing after another kept happening, and it was pushed to the back of his mind. But now? Now, he would be able to know.

"You've been watching them for a while." Emulator giggles as she walks up beside him. "Did they do something stupid?"

"Thankfully, no." Juliano shakes his head. He takes off his tophat and dusts off the brim before putting it back on. "But I do have a question about them."

"Shoot, I've been stuck with them for 12 years." she responds.

The former Avatar chuckles before looking at her. "They are dating, right? Because they're acting like a couple at the moment." He gestures to the duo, who were now hesitantly holding hands and still discussing something.

Emulator's silence makes him frown. "Emulator?" he asks, looking back at her. He was surprised to see an exasperated look.

"They've been pining over each other since they were Guardians?" she asks.

Juliano stops. "They. They aren't dating?"

Emulator shakes her head. "They've only been pining. It's the worst watching them."

The former ringermaster's eye begins to twitch as he slowly looks back at Forum and Domain. He then takes in a deep breath before letting out a string of the most loud and foul curse words known to man.

It immediately draws attention to him, especially as he takes his hat and throws it to the ground, still cursing.

"I.. didn't even know that was a word." SMG4 mutters, hands over Lil Coding's ears. He was so glad that Lily was back at the castle sleeping.

"I didn't think that those words could be used in that context." SMG3 blinks.

Finally, Juliano's curse tirad ends. He then picks his hat back up and dusts it off once more before glaring at Domain and Forum. "Are you kidding me? 12 years?"

"Someone who finally understands my pain!" Emulator throws her hands up into the air.

"It's worse when you tack on the 15 years from back home." the former Avatar remarks, which make Domain and Forum quickly look away from the combined gazes of Emulator and Juliano.

"And we thought SMG4 and SMG3 were bad!" Mario laughs.

"Dude." SMG3 facepalms while SMG4 chuckles softly.

Been thinking of how Claire and Clive would have been a good mother/son duo

Claire is the one who decides to go back for Clive, she knows that even though he’s done wrong he deserves a second chance. Much like her he feels guilt for what he did.

They potentially could have bonded over loss, Claire gets to process her life ending and Clive manages to slowly process the grief he feels due to his parents death and talk about it with someone leading him to change earlier.

If Claire were still alive I feel she would have taken care of Clive

Like Claire knows what guilt can do to you, she and Clive didn’t get to say goodbye to the ones they love.

This could cause extreme guilt in both, or like Clive it turns into hatred and thoughts of revenge.

Claire did all she could in the time she had left to rectify her mistakes, going after Clive when none else would, making sure Hershel knew he’d be okay without her and saving them all from getting hurt just like she did.

Two sides of the same coin.

They would have matched each other’s energies very well.

Claire the tired but enthusiastic mum and Clive the tired and grumpy/curios teen/young adult

Like if they got to go on adventures together you can bet you’re ass they would solve everything quite quickly.

Claire and her curiosity, as a researcher she looks for all the missing pieces to help amplify and change her experiments for the good so they work.

This allows her to see hidden problems/puzzles or clues one would not easily find. She can also fix things quite easily I like to think!

Clive a reporter, most likely the one to get all the information they need. Knows when people are hiding something.

He can easily sense a change in emotions which allows him to point out the true suspects much easier.

Also due to his job as a reporter he’s more likely to be linked in with London’s underground in the toontown au incase any boss wants to leak something out in public.

Clive can and will do that if it Benefits him

Basically set in like a half toon/human London (pretty much like who framed roger rabbit)

Clive Dove gets framed for the murder of Bill Hawks, so he runs to the only person he knows and won’t send him to prison.

Dr Claire Foley his sort of mother figure, who knows he wouldn’t do anything like that and so together they have to adventure to the underground to find out who did.

But the devil in the tophat wants them dead, they both have to face their past and stuff.

But yeah this au is basically me bringing the mother son duo of Claire and Clive alive!

An Extensive List of Phantom Thieves (怪盗)

but first the criteria:

The boundaries for what makes a thief a phantom and whether it's different from a gentleman thief are wobbly

We can't really just allow everyone who calls themselves "kaitou" to qualify, because there's Kaitou Sai from Nogami Neiro who is a serial killer which is A Very Bad Thing. most good examples of thieves have a "no kill" rule

If we set that they have to steal for Good Reasons, we cut off Kaitou Joker, who is very much a phantom thief, so we have to allow "thrill of the chase" as a valid-ish reason for stealing. no bonus points though, it just not instant disqualification

I found that "sends a calling card" is a good rule to stick to so I trimmed my original surprisingly long list based on whether I know for sure they send announcements or cards or letters or such. If you don't say "come and get me" to your target, you're pragmatic, a realist and also a coward

Which led me to a conclusion that to be a proper phantom thief, the main thing you should be after is the spotlight. You have to steal the show. Otherwise you're just a thief, maybe a gentleman, but not a phantom. Contrary to the name, you have to be seen. Good phantom thieves have a give-and-take relationship with their audience - they take the treasure, and give back a performance or some other form of entertainment (or purpose in life in some cases).

The following compilation doesn't include: books, hentai, eroge, BL, things where i couldn't translate the title into English, the ones that don't send calling cards(as far as i know) and in general a bunch of media i most definitely missed

Phantom Thief Hall of Fame:

- Kaito Kid(1987), Kaitou Saint Tail(1994) and Kaitou Joker(2007) are all brilliant examples of the genre, and if you don't know any of them, they all have a bunch of passionate fans each and they can all be googled really easily

- Joker and his gang from Persona 5(2017); i'm consiously placing him in the second/fourth place because even though he's really cool, very popular and is The phantom thief to a lot of people unfamiliar with the genre... he doesn't have a tophat (his persona is not enough)

- ... I'll just mention that Lupin the 3rd(1967) exists and go on

- and of course, Lupin III and about a quarter of all phantom thieves are in some way based on Arsène Lupin(1905) by Maurice Leblanc

- ex. there was a french-canadian cartoon about Lupin called Night Hood(1996)

- Cat's Eye(1981), cited as an inspiration for Saint Tail, is about a trio of sisters who steal stuff in order to get closer to their dad and it's epic

- Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne(1997), like Saint Tail, doubles as a magical girl series and is about magical stealing and the clothing is eastern and the manga swerves into weird territory in the end but it features one of the precious few phantom thief & phantom thief romances

- King of Bandits Jing(1995), while doesn't have the aesthetic, has the weirdness, the charm, the calling card (i think) and is generally cool enough to steal his place on the list whether he’s a phantom or not

- The Acrobat/Man of Twenty Faces(1990), also known as Akira Ijyuin; charming child somehow without most of the problems the CLAMP protagonists tend to suffer from

- Phantom R the titular Rhythm Thief(2012), a great example of a dancer show-off, has a dog

- The Black Rose from Ashita no Nadja(2003) is a tuxedo mask-esque character

- Kaitou Kiramekiman(2000) is a cool retrofuturistic-looking duo trying to save the world in a show that is tragically more about their police counterparts Doing Absolutely Nothing because the villains tend to be more popular in that franchise

- Pacricon(1999) takes place in a world where money has been cancelled(?), has a hella cool calling card

- Shadow Lady(1995)... well, there's a lot of fanservice - like, a lot, and it's tiring and i warned you - but there's also some genuinely funny twists like cancelling her heist on live tv just because she didn't feel like doing it. it also got very unceremoniously axed

- Kaitou Alexandrite(2006) owns/co-owns/frequents a bordel so there's some nsfw to be seen on occasion but it's tolerable and could be described as tasteful i guess. she stole someone's voice once. it also features one of the best identity reveals

- Chat Noir from Granblue Fantasy(2014) is a fighting unit; he has a "calling card" skill and i think that's beautiful

- Phantom Skye from Harvest Moon DS Cute(2005), a not-very-secret character, is an absolute cheese but it loops right back into being charming

- Kaito Rousseau(2006) for Nintendo DS, where a tiny thief boy is horrible at going unnoticed unless he disguises his face as whatever you draw on your ds screen

- Mask DeMasque from Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations(2004) is a thing?

- Sly Cooper(2002) is known as Kaitou Sly Cooper in Japan so he fits the bill

- PxP(2006), short manga about a girl thief in high school

- Sweet Kaitou Vanilla Moon(2010), pastry-themed phantom thief? hell yeah!

- Kaitou Reinya(2010), a short comedy that is not to be taken seriously but you might get a few chuckles from it and i don't regret giving it a second chance (warning: cartoonish animal abuse)

- Cat's Eye(s)(2010), a remake of the original tale of three sisters with different PoVs

- Kaitou Jack from Nishikida Keibu wa Dorobou ga Osuki(2013); it's a gag manga about a cute phantom thief boy and an old man detective that acts like a schoolgirl around that boy. ... I'm only mentioning it here because I like Jack's costume and "i'm-SO-done-with-this" faces and it's mostly intended to be funny. mostly.

- Kaitou Okami-Zoku Shonen(2013), a oneshot about a werewolf who eats people's hearts (metaphorically! through kisses) but is really stylish about it. Think P5 protagonist but alone and a werewolf

- Phantom Thief F's Scenario(2013) is a vocaloid song about a diamond heist on a luxury liner

- Kaitou Le Vin(2014) is about six people stealing wines and it's epic but they can't shut up about wine for one second

- Gaitou Alice(2015) is about a guy looking like Kaito Kuroba going into people's hearts to steal stuff before P5 made it cool. Features amazing artwork but kinda gross stuff closer to the end so it's kind of understandable why it got axed but it has a kind of weird charm to it

- Mystic Thief X from a mobile dating game Miss Detective's Undercover(2017) (i'm scraping for phantom thief content) is honestly excellent at his job. he might only be showing off for one person but damn it's romantic af and i love him

- Kaitou Shounen Jokers(2017) is a sequel to Kaitou Joker, and is directly about the previous protag's kid going to a phantom thief school (i have no hard evidence he sends calling cards but if he doesn’t take after dad i’m-)

- Kaitou Saint Tail girls!(2018), a sequel to Saint Tail, is very cute and has two new Saint Tails working together! i wish i knew more about it

- Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger(2018), live-action series that is a must-watch for anyone who loves phantom thieves because it's a masterpiece of a tv show; besides the three thieves it also features the best police officers in the genre (it kind of has to since they're protagonists too but boy does it deliver)

- Secret x Warrior Phantomirage(2019) is also a live action and it's all about girls stealing enchanted hearts! i actually don't know if they send cards but it feels right placing them after lupinrangers and they're definitely show-stealers

- Kilroy(2018) is a western comic about a guy who broke an unconventional mirror and has to do unconventional repairs

- Kaitou Kamaitachi(2018) has a cute reporter boy and a lot of butterflies

- Destined Memories(2019) is another mobile dating game, there are thieves (called the Crows) in victorian england and they send notices and it's way better at being a phantom thief story than an actual phantom thief story by this company that i'll maybe mention later if i get to compiling a list of thieves that don't send cards

- I really want to put Majo Kaitou Lip☆s(2019) in this category, I want her to send calling cards, but there's like two chapters out so there's still time. The artwork for this series is GORGEOUS and the idol imagery is amazing and i love it so much I just want her to be popular

i might've ignored some phantoms you may have heard about, but 50% i've checked and they don't send calling cards. If they do, additions are welcome!

its Ta and Rar the virus duo!!

they normally aren’t much of a threat, tbh. just kinda… there… trying to be evil and fail at pretty much every attempt.

their little feather thingys, are just extended eyes. it moves around every now and then so dont get to creeped out. and no, it doesn’t feel like feathers, more like poking a squishy ball, and it will automatically make you feel weirded out. (they wont notice, it kinda tickles)

they both like kittens by the way. they like to eat them, snuggle them, pet them, everything with them. will be completely side tracked with one. if your a cat hide!, or you’ll be attacked with the power of goopy love. or will be eaten, if they are hungry.

Rar is like…. a mettaton and a papyrus personality combined. idk how to explain. its pretty self absorbed, and is absolutely fabulous, but then again loves to be pretty positive, and *believes in you~* 

and Ta is like a……. alyphs personality? i guess…? its pretty smart, timid, and keeps to them self. its favorite item is a clipboard. they doesn’t know why, but them makes it feel safe. plus they adore Rar, and will protect at any cost.

these 2 go everywhere together. so much so, that its almost impossible to tear this two apart, literally and figuratively.

Ta is the more deadly one, since she much more smarter and quick witted that Rar, but isn’t motivated to do anything rash, or harsh, so shes not much of a threat, just dont bully poor Rar. 

Rar is wayy to self-absorbed to be worrying about BEING AN ACTUAL VIRUS LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO. you could lead them into your secret base, and they wouldn’t care, as long as your attention is on them. (so enjoy your potato chassps and mopping up virus gunk)

please accept these stupid ball of evil. they are pretty neat once you get to know these not so mindless sack of virus goop.

> He takes off the sunglasses and baseball cap the very second he walks through the door. The fur coat stays on though - that’s the best part of the disguise.

> It’s not easy to crack into the mind, but ever the stubborn bastard, Marvus persists with his caged jade.

> He didn’t want to keep her forever. What would even be half the fun of that? Watching her wither away like an unwatered house plant while she just barely subsists on broth and samples of food he knew she wouldn’t choke on. That’s why he stopped on his way back home from a very lovely party to get her some cigarettes. A whole pack of menthols, holiday-themed to look like striped candy canes. He flips the pack over in his hand curiously. He wasn’t a tobacco kinda guy, so he just got the prettiest looking mid-priced pack he could see.

> He whistles a jaunty tune as he pulls his coat closed, still chilled from the late-fall air. The ballroom is as immaculate as ever as he walks in, yanking his throne around to be next to her cage. He drops into it and crosses one leg over the other. He plucks a smoke out of its cardboard package, offering it between two claws.

> “Happy holinights, sis.” He says easily, summoning a match from the edge of his tophat and lighting the smoke for her. She takes a drag and the smoke swirls upward towards the ceiling of the cage and eventually billows out into the tall ceiling, probably soaking into every bit of fabric it could.

> He’s got more for her. Food from the party, updates of the party-goers. About how he picked up the two littlest and most favorite members of his congregation, or how was asked to make a special batch for Tyzias - extra veggies.

> “It was all hella sweet, how everyone was havin’ a good time. I think even miss mopey cracked a smile.”

> He pauses a moment and sinks further into his chair, eyes slipping closed a moment. He felt at peace, a smile curling on his face.

> “Ya know,” he muses. “I think they think you’re dead.”

> The caverns aren’t looking for her. The gold blooded gremlin duo aren’t looking for her. Her phone is likely going to be dying soon - he probably should have just shredded the thing to avoid anyone looking for her via phone GPS, but should is an ugly word. For example, she should have not stolen his limo and then admitted it online, but if she hadn’t they wouldn’t have gotten here, to this exact moment in time, beautiful and infinite in that way only single seconds could be. 

> “Dead or otherwise gone. I guess you’re right, that nothin’ matters. Life goes on without ya...

> “But now that yer dead, let’s talk about what’s keepin’ you alive, right in this very moment.”

Alright, I had to change it from child Roman to teen Roman, but I really think I nailed this one!

Whumptober Day 17 (”Stay With Me”)

Word Count- 881

Characters- Roman Sanders, Remus Sanders, Patton Sanders, Logan Sanders

Warnings- Sick Character, One Swear

It was the day of the musical, and Roman felt like shit. 

He and Remus were both cast as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the show couldn’t go on without both halves of the duo. Patton would object to letting him perform in ‘this condition’, but Roman knows his limits. He knows he can still perform wonderfully, even with a raspy voice and a pounding headache. Even when his legs wobbled just holding him up and nausea threatened his every move.

Roman would not give up so easily.

Getting into his costume, an unbuttoned lab coat with a beige button-up shirt and khakis, Roman wipes of a sheen of sweat on his forehead. 

“Roman, you can still back out you know.” Remus says, fiddling with the tophat in his hands, “We can get the understudy, an-”

“I don’t need the understudy,” Roman hisses, voice gravelly, “I’m fine. Besides, it’s opening night. People don’t come to opening night to see the understudy of the main character.”

Remus sighs, then puts the hat on, “I’m just worried. I know that we joke around a lot, but I’m being serious. Besides, even if you do go out there-”

“I am going out there.”

“-Dad’s dad sense will go off, and he’ll literally pull you off the stage, like the naughty child you are.”

“...Don’t use naughty like that ever again. And what Dad doesn’t know won’t hurt him.” With that, the announcer began introducing the musical, starting with the standard ‘turn off your phones’ and ‘keep the isles clear’ speeches. Roman rushes over to his place, Remus right on his heels.

When Roman steps out for ‘Lost in the Darkness’, the stage lights nearly blind him, not to mention makes his headache worse. When the cue comes, he begins, trying to keep his voice as clear as possible. “Lost in the darkness…”

The song only lasts for a minute and a half, but Roman knows that it was a minute and a half too much. Stepping backstage, Roman regrets his decision to pass up some ibuprofen that morning. The vocals just start for ‘Façade’ when Remus comes back over to him and signals for Roman to turn off his mic box. Shaking his head, Roman goes to get into his next position, up a flight of stairs backstage, but Remus grabs at his arm.

With a whisper, he says, “I texted Dad before his phone was turned off. He’s coming to get you.” Before Roman can protest, Remus continues, “The understudy is already dressed, I told the stage manager, and you got out there like you said you wanted to, so now you need to go home and rest.” Remus ushers Roman to the exit door, cane prop in hand, and gestures yet again for Romans mic. With a sigh, Roman obliges and removes the earpiece and box, placing them in Remus’s open hands.

“Break a leg.”

“Thanks. I’ll see you in hell, Jekyll.”

“That’s not the line.”

“Does it look like I care?” Remus opens the door for Roman, who nods at him and walks out to see his dad pacing in the hallway. When Dad hears the door shut, his eyes snap over to Roman, who is still in costume.

“Hey, kiddo! You did great!” Dad smiles at him, but the worry is still clear in his eyes, “Your brother told me you weren’t feeling tip-top right now. I’m sorry to hear that.” He steps closer to Roman, hand extended.

Roman takes a step back, “It’s fine, Padre. He’s just overreacting.” Roman says, knees threatening to fall out from under him. His dad takes a few more steps forward and places a hand on Roman’s head.

“Oh, wow! You’re really burning up!” he pulls out his cellphone and dials a number, “I’m gonna call your Papa really quick, okay?”

“What! No, Dad, I’m fine!” Roman says, trying his best to hide his sickness from his dad. “I can still go back on, I know I can!”

“Kiddo, you know you can’t. Not with a fever as bad as yours.” Pressing the call button, the twins’ dad calls their papa, who picks up on the second ring.

“Hello, Patton. Is everything alright?” he asks, voice flowing through the speakerphone dad always keeps on. 

“Kinda. On a good note, Roman’s opening number was really good! On a bad note, he’s also sick.”

“Do you need me to pick him up? I am just about to get off of work, and can be over there in a few minutes.”

“Yeah, that would be great, Logan! I’m really sorry to bother you.” 

“You know you can never bother me, Patton.”

“I know, I know. I love you!”

“I love you, too, my starlight.”

“Aww!” Patton gushes, “I’ll see you soon.” 

“And you as well. Goodbye.”

“Bye!” Patton hangs up the phone with a gentle smile, then puts it into his pocket. “Alright, kiddo, I’ll walk you out and wait with you, okay?”

“But I want to stay here!” Roman huffs, crossing his arms.

Patton frowns a little, “But I want you to stay with me, Ro.” Reaching out a hand, Patton waits for Roman to take it. With one more longing look to the stage doors, Roman takes his dad’s hand and walks out of the building.

Rick and Morty Character Guide Delves Into the Multiverse

The open nature of animation as a genre and the seeming limitlessness of Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland’s imaginations means that their Adult Swim creation Rick and Morty occupies a big universe … or universes more accurately 

This creates for an undeniably exciting viewing experience. It feels like anything can happen in a multiverse-spanning episode of Rick and Morty – because just about anything probably can. But that enormous universe also means an equally enormous stable of characters, which can be hard to keep up with. We gave it our best shot over here, but now the real professionals are stepping in to make sure the critters, creatures, cretins, and characters of Rick and Morty are properly catalogued. 

Dark Horse Comics will be publishing the Rick and Morty Character Guide on Wednesday, Dec. 9, just in time for the holiday season. The guide is written by Rick and Morty producer/writer Albro Lundy and will creatively present and keep track of all the denizens of Rick and Morty’s universe. Dark Horse exclusively provided six pages to Den of Geek in advance to help us all get a sense of how the whole endeavor will work. 

Give them a look below and take the first steps towards being able to tell the difference between a Gromflomite and a Garblovian.

The first example is pretty straightforward. Here we have Morty Smith (C-137) a.k.a. The One True Morty in all his glory. Morty’s profile appears to have been approached from an alien perspective, which creates an unbiased, but rather harsh assessment of his character. “Morty is your average fourteen-year-old Earth male. Painfully, measurably average.” How the writer can square that away with Morty’s impressive list of intergalactic crimes (on which “Horniness” resides right next to “Manslaughter”) is anyone’s guess.

OK, they’re really laying into poor Morty. While this scientific-minded writer is thoughtful enough to get images of Morty’s habitat, they also have a disturbingly thorough understanding of his sexual desperation. You try being a 14-year-old boy, dispassionate scientist. 

This appears to be a page torn out of an Intergalactic magazine and as such it has all the latest hot gossip from the Rick and Morty multiverse. For starters it appears that Jerry Smith and wife (Beth Smith) have announced yet another breakup at the Golden Globe Awards. That’s probably not the C-137 version of the duo. More importantly, however, electronics tycoon Ants-in-My-Eyes Johnson is in some hot water for recent divisive statements. 

And now an advertisement page featuring more beloved characters from the Interdimensional Cable airwaves. Tophat Jones, Stealy, and the Real Fake Door and Lil Bits guys all stop by to sell some of their wares. Presumably this is a much-needed break from all the character cataloguing. 

This page should prove to be a very helpful resource for longtime Rick and Morty watchers. The number of aliens that pop up on this show, even if only for a moment or two, is truly staggering. This alphabetized index of aliens (from Abadongians to Beckians on this page alone) should help clear up some galactic confusion. 

Of course, what would a Rick and Morty Character Guide be without an appearance from everyone’s favorite corvid?  Dan Harmon’s deadpanned Bird Person may be gone but his spirit, and his species, live on. Bird People have an average adult wingspan of 4.5 meters. And the author notes “Please note their bones are not hollow and they are tired of being asked about it.”

Meet Adrien and Mr. Tophat, the performing duo! Adrien here is a ventriloquist, while Mr. Tophat.. well, i think that’s pretty self explanatory. The both of them perform together on the streets, their extreme personalities working really well of each other. Adrien is quite the introvert and doesn’t really talk that well, while Mr. Tophat is a loudmouth, and often quite innapropreate. But the both of them are kind and funny nonetheless~
