you're high. you're high and out of it and the only thing you can think about is how much you love your boyfriend.

"haaoooo~" you whine as you drape yourself over the lap of the man in question. "do you love me?"

minghao rolls his eyes and sighs but there's a humor in his eyes and a slight upturn of his lips that hints he finds you more amusing than anything else. "yes, angel, i do love you."

"how much?" you ask, looking up at him with big pleading eyes.

"very, very much," minghao answers, used to your high antics. "more than anything in the world."

"anything in the world? even more than jihoon loves burno mars?"

"yes, even more than jihoon loves bruno mars."

"so much that you'd...steal the moon for me?" you ask, batting your eyelashes dramatically at your boyfriend.

minghao giggles slightly and pushes your hair back out of your face. he will never not be obsessed with how ridiculous you are. "yes baby, i'll steal the moon for you."

you seem satifised by this, and you smile to yourself and snuggled down onto minghao's lap even further, your buzz finally getting the stage of making you sleepy.

a few days later you are curled up in bed when minghao walks into the room, his hands behind his back. you glance up at him from your phone and instantly smile at him, dropping your phone to give minghao your full attention and he grins down at you.

"i got you something."

you perk up even more at this, looking at minghao eagerly. "you got me something? aww baby, you didn't have to!"

"i mean, you asked me for this." minghao pulls his hands out from behind his back and what's revealed is a glowing light in the design of a moon.

"oh my god! you got me a moon!" you shout, quickly reaching out to hold the globe in your own palms.

"i wasn't able to steal the real moon, but you know, i still did my best," minghao tells you, smiling at your excited expression.

"oh my god...i love you so much! you love me so much!" you spring up off the bed and wrap your boyfriend in a hug, pressing kisses to his his adorable giggles filling your ears as you do so.

and it's true. minghao does love you so much.

he'd do anything to make you happy, including paying for express shipping to gift you an adorable moon lamp just to fufill a random wish you made while high. the wide grin and your bright eyes is all that minghao needs to make his heart soar.

"you're so sweet, hao. the most perfectest boyfriend." you cup his face and give him a peck on the lips. "i love you so much, thank you."

minghao smiles down at you. "of course baby. like i said, anything for you."

it's not secret you and minghao are madly in love with each other, but a few reminders every now and then don't hurt either.

Dusting your hands on your pants, you attempt to pry Minghao away from the tire when he's not entirely convinced it's tightened.

It was 10 PM on a Thursday night and, Minghao took it upon himself to drag you out of the slum that was your dorm room and to some cliffside he had gone to with his friends. It was also mandatory for his pickup to get a flat tire just before you were about to head back home.

"It's thickening the plot" He had said, attempting to bring his forced positivity into a road with no streetlights and a scissor jack that took him 20 minutes to find.

You managed with your phone flashlights and a couple scrapes, more grateful that you weren't stranded in what was basically a forest by yourselves at nearing midnight.

"Can we sit in the back for a little bit more, I'm pooped" you whine, clambering into the blanketed cargo bed before he can reply.

Hao has an inability to say no to you so he obliges, wondering if he could switch gears a little bit and move to a topic he's been wanting to bring up.

You both are comfy, heads on pillows, looking up at the stars as you whip out your constellation app.

You're checking for Orion when Hao starts to talk.

"Do you still think about Jun?"

You freeze as you hear your ex's name, not expecting the abrupt change of topic.

"Haven't thought about that one in a minute" You reply with a laugh, looking over at him.

You were telling the truth. Because somebody else had taken over the empty space he left, very quickly.

"Why'd you ask?"

He turns to his side to face you, bringing his hand up to his head, elbows supporting.

"Do you have anyone in mind? You haven't gone out with anyone after Jun, just thinking about it"

Your face answers enough for him, and he starts smiling before letting out a yelp.

"There is someone, isn't there?!"

"No there isn't" You deadpan, trying to cover up for yourself.

"Yes, there is! Who is it, tell me"

He's bluffing just as much as you are, but he may be doing it better as you haven't caught on yet. Minghao is smart, observant, analytical; he knows when something's up. So when he began to feel the lingering touches and dreamy eyes, he knew what it was before you did yourself.

Not to say he didn't feel the same way, the window that came about after your split was enough to re-ignite the fire that he had attempted to subdue long ago. You only encouraged him.

It was cute, though, watching you struggle to keep your composure when asked the blistering question so head on.

"I'm not telling you!"

"So there is someone" He strikes the chord.

You look at him, a little like a deer caught in headlights. "That's not fair"

"Not my fault you're stupid"

"You're right, I was stupid enough to fall for you"

The universe had slammed the pause button the second the words tumble out of your mouth. The owl had stopped hooting, the trees had stopped rustling. You had stopped breathing.

You closed your eyes, not wishing to perceive anything. Your mouth with its tendency to voice your thoughts had gotten you in serious trouble before, but you really didn't think you could ever pull something of this caliber.

You wished you never fixed that tire, maybe you'd be left stranded here to die. It wouldn't matter that you had just effectively confessed to your best friend if you were both dead meat for the coyotes.

Unbeknownst to you, Hao had been smiling ear to ear. All smug once he got over the initial shock.

"Thought I wasn't your type?" he asks. He's enjoying your pain a little too much.

"Please, just don't" You moan, hand coming up to cover your face, in hopes of forgetting object permanence and perceiving Hao as nonexistent.

"Oh, you fool" He sighs dramatically.

You were expecting that.

You suddenly feel a hand removing the obstructions from your face, and what feels like a kiss is being placed right on your lips. He's smiling as he cradles your face, despite the awkward position. You open your eyes to look at him, finding him staring down at you with nothing but infatuation in his eyes.

You were not expecting that.

there was a certain superpower that your boyfriend had, which was this uncanny ability to encase you in the arms of his comfort just so effortlessly. you don't even have to mention anything about your day for him to notice that particular frown to your lips the moment you walk through the door, to see the dullness in your eyes and the way your body seemed to carry an extra weight when you trudge towards him on the couch.

the sight puts minghao on his extra attentive mode, which is how you found yourself sitting on the couch in front of him in between his legs, feeling the way his hands seem to knead at the knots in your shoulders even before he made contact with your skin. his fingers had an intuitive knowledge of the contours of your body, tracing the well-worn paths of tension as if he had been doing this for a lifetime.

as the noise in the background from the show you were watching together became white noise, minghao's touch was the only thing that mattered in that moment, almost as if he was absorbing the stress away from your body. you let out a contented sigh as his fingers worked its magic, your eyes closing as the worries of the day began to fade away. minghao always had a way of making you feel like the most cherished person in the world, and in moments like these, you couldn't imagine being anywhere else but in his arms.

the sound from your lips makes him faintly smile, prompting in to lean in just slightly to press a few feathery, lingering kisses to the top of your shoulder, trailing them towards the nape of your neck. each kiss was like a whisper of affection in your ears, causing your breath to hitch with every single one, and it sends a delightful shiver down your spine.

"hao..." you sigh out his name.

"hmm?" minghao responds softly, lips brushing your skin as he continued to press those tender kisses along your shoulder and neck.

"that feels good," you mutter, and your words make him smile against your skin.

he presses one last kiss to your neck. "i'm glad, sweetheart."

with the tv show practically fading into insignificance now--you both can replay the episode later--you can feel the knots in your shoulders surrender completely to his expert touch, applying just the right amount of pressure to the right areas, and melting you away into a blissful state of relaxation. his fingers glide over your skin with precision and care, and it makes you feel weightless.

you don't know how much time had passed by the time the touch of his hands cease away, and you find yourself turning around to face him. there's a lazy smile that crosses your face as you lean him to give him a grateful kiss to his lips, hoping that it was enough to emphasise the amount of thank you's you wanted to pour out of your body. and when you pull back, you spot that soft look to his face that you've fallen for more many, many times.

he leans in for another kiss, this time a bit deeper, a bit more passionate. his arms wrap around you, pulling you closer as the kiss deepens just slightly.

"hao," you call against his lips. "the show--"

minghao's lips, still lingering near yours, form a playful smile. "the show can wait."

he seems like someone who isn't exactly the most extroverted in social settings (especially if he's not familiar with the people there) not necessarily out of shyness or anything like that but i think he's just someone that prefers to sit back and observe, but he's very well spoken and carries himself well so he can definitely make conversations and interact when he needs to.

he's also someone who comes across as having a very strong mentality and he is extremely self-aware, he knows his strengths and weaknesses very well and is constantly finding ways to learn more about himself and humans in general and strives to improve and better himself as a person.

he's definitely outspoken about things he's passionate about and is excited to involve his loved ones whenever they show interest in his hobbies (his tea ceremony during ITS) and he'll also be more than happy to learn about your passions as well. to him it's a great opportunity to bond with and learn more about one another.

i feel like he's very big on self-care so he'd definitely be someone that also likes to give himself little treats here and there and he's all about the aesthetics and vibes so he'd enjoy going to nice little cafes with you and he is the fashionista of the bunch so the dressing up would be a plus for him! will check what you're wearing beforehand so you can match! takes a bunch of cute photos with you, for you and of the place.

after learning about how you like going to cafes, he'd start to take more notice of all the cute little cafes in the area and will take photos of them when he's passing by so he can send them to you.
