On that note: Been thinking about TOS AU for Vesperia and so far, i've gotten TWO versions of this AU and Im digging both of them (Both of them have Estelle and Yuri being the chosen ones of their world btw bc Estelle being child of the full moon and also i just love the idea of Yuri with the angel wings so being a lil selfish about this one <3 )

Some spoilers for Tales of Symphonia below LMAO

AU 1: Yuri grows up as the Chosen in the thriving city with Flynn as his childhood friend. Flynn's parents are murdered by Desians (His father in combat and his mother executed to make an example) and Yuri decides that, no matter what, he's going to regenerate the world and get rid of the Desians for Flynn, even if it means he won't be around anymore. Flynn decides to journey with Yuri on his journey of regeneration so he can make sure Yuri doesn't die along the way and so he can have a hand in the vengeance against his parents. (He isn't aware that this journey will also threaten to take away the one person he has left in his life) AU 2: Kind of the same vibe but the Oracle for Yuri arrives WAY too soon (like, yuri is a literal child) and the "Desians" show up to kill Yuri but Flynn's dad and Yuri's mother step in to protect him while Flynn's (wounded) mother takes both Yuri and Flynn and runs away as far as she can. It ultimately leads to her getting to that area that serves as a gate between the two worlds (not that she would know) but one thing leads to another and she winds up in the other world with both Flynn and Yuri in tow. They're found by Hanks and others and before Flynns's mother dies, she begs Hanks to protect Flynn and Yuri and for Yuri and his cruxis crystal to stay hidden and safe.

Hanks is, of course, confused bc his while he's not TOTALLY educated on Chosen stuff, he's wondering why this random child who is NOT the chosen (bc the actual Chosen is the PRINCESS of the kingdom) has the mark OF the chosen but he honors the woman's wishes and takes the boys in. They do end up befriending Estelle later one in their childhood but Flynn and Yuri do their best to keep Yuri's cruxis crystal hidden the entire time. Of course, things get weird when Estelle's Oracle hits a few years later and begins her Journey of Regeneration.
