I know this is way in the future but what’s it like when Mia is older and has a boyfriend? 🥺 do Carson and Auston like him?
PLEASE no because I have this entirely planned out. So Mia has a couple of boys she goes out on like one date with but they’re not very serious and don’t escalate to anything until she’s in the 10th grade and dates a football player who is a total dick. They date for the entire school year and break up just before summer starts and their breakup is messyyyyyy. He was pressuring into sex and she wasn’t ready and put him in his place about it. She has no one she was really interested in after that and stays single for the whole summer. However, at the beginning of summer a friend of hers who’s family lives in the same neighbourhood as the Matthews’ and are family friends, introduces her to Owen, his hockey teammate and best friend. Mia had seen Owen in the halls at school and knew of him but didn’t know him as he and her friend were in the grade ahead of her. Anyways, the three of them become inseparable and spend the whole summer hanging out all the time doing fun things (in this time Owen hasn’t met Carson and Auston as Mia’s friend yet but they’ve heard about him and Auston knew of him from his part in the hockey community in the Phoenix area) and then by the end of summer Owen and Mia have feelings for each other and on the literal last day of summer they kiss.
And so they start dating kind of secretly, only their friend knows and he freaking loves it, they never make it seem like he’s a third wheel and their group doesn’t change just because Mia and Owen are together. As they grow tired of sneaking around, Mia tells Carson but doesn’t tell Auston right away because she’s nervous to and so Carson’s like “I know how he can get, babe. But you gotta tell him. You know I’ll be there to help if you need me” and so Mia tells him and Auston pretty much has a meltdown over her dating a hockey player and is so dramatic about it and it really upsets Mia because even when she’s older, that strong bond between her and Auston never fades. She’s still the biggest daddy’s girl and for him to react that way is just really upsetting for her and Carson’s there as it all goes down and it leads to an argument between Mia and Auston and so Carson steps in and says “Mia, you can go. I’m going have a talk with your father” and Mia nods, trying not to cry and rushes out of the kitchen and runs past Carter and Liv who were eavesdropping and to her bedroom and they both go after her because they don’t like that their sister is upset. And as all the siblings are together in Mia’s room, they can hear Carson and Auston in the kitchen as they start raising their voices at each other.
Carson tells Auston that he’s blowing this completely out of proportion and that he should be happy Mia is happy and that he shouldn’t be so hard on her about it just because he’s upset she’s growing up, which is exactly what it all comes down to. And so Auston’s like “she’s dating a hockey player, Carson. Of all things, a hockey player. He could hurt her. Of course I don’t like it.” So Carson raises her eyebrow at him and says “funny you say that because I dated a hockey player too I and like to think I turned out just fine, Auston. Mia didn’t want to tell you because she knew this was how you’d react and I honestly can’t blame her. Now, I’m going to go check on our daughter because she’s upset her dad shut down her relationship with a guy she really like without even knowing him and you can join us when you’re ready to be reasonable about this” and then storms past him out of the kitchen. After that she goes and quietly knocks on Mia’s door and asks if she can come in and smiles when she sees all her kids together but Mia just really wants her mom and so Carson apologizes to all of them that they had to hear her conversation with their dad but like Carson and Auston never fight or argue in front of their kids but show their kids that even if they’re upset with one another, they can still talk about it and it’s important to let each other know about those feelings. Anyways neither of the kids think they were actually fighting but know their mom is not happy with their dad hahaha but Carson asks Carter and Liv to give her and Mia some privacy and so they leave and Mia cuddles up to Carson on her bed and tears up again as she says “I really like him, mom. And I want dad to like him too” and Carson tells Mia a story saying “when I was a few years older than you are now Mia, I met your dad. We were friends at first, just like you and Owen, and then that eventually became something more. When me and your dad did start dating, I also had someone I was very nervous to find out and didn’t tell right away. It wasn’t your grandpa, he quite liked your dad, actually. But this was someone who’s opinion I’ve always valued and they mean a lot to me, just like how you feel about wanting your dad to like Owen. I was so afraid they wouldn’t like that me and your dad were in a relationship and at first they didn’t love it, but they came around.”
So Mia moves away slightly from her mom to look up at her and says “they ended up being happy for you and dad?” So Carson nods then Mia asks “who was it?” And Carson just smiles at her and says “it was Mitchy. And I don’t have a single doubt in my mind that your dad will come around like he did. Mitchy cared most about me being happy and I know at the end of the day, that’s what your dad cares about most when it comes to you.” And that makes Mia smile because she just thinks it’s crazy that her Mitchy made her mom so nervous about being with her dad and then Mia says “do you think Mitchy will react like dad when I tell him about Owen?” And Carson laughs then says “he’ll be dramatic for sure, but not because of Owen. Probably will tell you that you’re making him feel old” which makes Mia laugh and say “he always says that” and the two of them talk a little bit longer until someone knocks on the door and Auston peaks his head inside and says “can I come in?” And Carson glances to Mia, who is looking at her dad still before looking back to her mom then nods. So Carson pats Mia’s leg and says “I’ll let you two have some privacy” then gets up off the bed and walks toward Auston, giving him a slight warning glare but then winking before passing him and leaving the room and that’s when he and Mia talk it out.
After finally meeting Owen, Carson and Auston do love him a whole lot. He becomes part of the family. The only Owen related thing that causes a fight between Mia and Auston after that is one night when Mia sneaks out to go see him and doesn’t even tell him she snuck out. But Mia goes to cheer Owen on when he plays in the world juniors championship and then he gets accepted to play hockey at the University of Michigan and Mia travels to visit him, she’s with him when he gets drafted into the NHL and everything like that’s who she ends up with and the thing with Mia and Owen is that they’re soooooo much like Carson and Auston it hurts, like with how they are together and now physical touch is such a prominent love language for them. But Carson and Auston don’t even notice lmao, it’s everyone else that is like “Mia and Owen are literally the two of you 2.0”

Summary: Auston and Amelia have sex…?
A.N: so I feel like its been forever since I’ve posted which is crazy because I’ve half worked on so many pieces. I really wanted to post something for you guys and I felt like you deserved a treat!

Word Count: 1,962
I let out a  giggle as I ran my hand through Felix fur.
“Oh my god Steph, listen to this one. The corkscrew,” I let out another laugh as I looked at the picture. I was facetiming Steph as I waited for Auston to return from practice. He had left me this morning when I was sleeping to leave for practice. I had decided to stay around and wait because I missed him.
“Oh my god,” she laughed loudly.
“I’m totally trying some of these with Auston,” I joked as I continued to scroll through all the different sex positions.
“Try what?” I heard Auston call out, causing me to let out a little scream as I turned to the door.
“Your home,” I gasped. “I’ll call you back Steph.”
“How was practice?” I asked once I had hung up the phone. Auston slipped his shoes off dropping his bag at the door before making his way over to Felix and I. He sat down on the couch next to me and reached across to pet Felix.
“You’ve officially stolen my dog. I think he likes you better,” he whined. “It was good, not too hard today.”
I leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss to his lips before pulling away.
“It’s not my fault you always leave him and he found happiness in me,” I joked. He let out a little laugh before pulling me into his arms. I took a deep breath leaning into his touch. Even though he had just come from practice he smelled good, meaning he took a shower before he left.
“I see you found my clothes,” he teased as his hand pulled on the button up shirt I had slipped on from his closest.
“I didn’t want to wear my own,” I mumbled. He pressed a kiss to the top of my head.
“So what was it that you wanted to try with me?” he questioned.
“Oh,” I giggled before opening my phone to show him the article that Steph and I were looking at.
“It’s just a bunch of different sex postions and kinks,” I explained as I scrolled through it. He looked at me with a raised eyebrow before grabbing my phone from me. So far our sex life had been pretty vanilla. I wasn’t too worried about it because it was always good but I knew that we both had been thinking about trying different things.
“Oh yeah? Which ones were you thinking about trying?” he asked as he continued to look through the article. I took a deep breath, we’re really going to talk about it now.
“Well,” I paused, feeling suddenly shy. “I’ve always wanted to try being tied up,” I admitted, looking away from him. I could feel his stare on me.
“I’d be so down to do that,” he said, reaching his hand out to my cheek so he could turn my face to him. I blushed as my eyes met his and I took in his lust-filled eyes.
“Really?” I questioned. He smirked as he leaned forward to kiss me. I met his lips easily responding to his passion. His hand slipped down to my chest and he squeezed my breast through his shirt. He let out a groan when he realized I wasn't wearing a bra.
“God you're so sexy,” he mumbled against my lips, causing me to let out a small whimper of pleasure. He pulled away and stared down at me.
“I actually have handcuffs,” he admitted rubbing the back of his neck. My eyebrows raised in surprise.
“I bought them three weeks ago,” he blushed, “I saw them and wanted to use them on you.”
I blushed as I leaned forward to kiss him again.
“Why is that so hot?” I asked when I pulled away. He stood up and reached his hand out for me. I quickly latched on and he pulled me up. He led me to his room by the hand and then pushed me down onto the bed.
I started taking my shirt off as I walked over to his dresser and then pulled out purple handcuffs. I reached down to play with myself over my underwear. When he turned around to face me he started taking in the scene before him.
“Your gorgeous baby,” he moaned. He threw the handcuffs onto the bed and then reached down to the hem of his shirt so he could take it off. He then pulled his shorts off before climbing onto the bed so that he was hovering above me.
“What do you want today?” he asked, pressing me down to the bed and pressing a rough kiss to my mouth. I responded immediately, pressing up against him. He grabbed both of my hands, raising them above my head.
“Fuck me,” I responeded quietly.
“What was that?” he questioned. He reached down and grabbed the handcuffs and latched on to my wrist. He then wrapped it around the bar in his head board before connecting it to my other wrist so that my arms were locked above me. He moved my hair to one side before pressing open mouth kisses to my exposed neck.
“Fuck me please,” I repeated. He pulled away grinning down at me before pressing a kiss to my lips and then trailing down to my collarbone. He left a few open mouth kisses there before continuing down to my breast. He raised his hand up to my face and put two fingers up to my lips.
“Suck,” he ordered. I immediately obeyed, opening my mouth. He continued to give my breast attention with his mouth as I sucked on his fingers.
“You look so sexy spread out like this babe,” he mentioned taking his mouth off of me.
“Aus,” I whined, pulling away from his fingers. He reached a hand down and cupped himself through his boxers.
“I’m already hard babe,” he admitted. He moved so that he could take his boxers off real quick before returning to placing kisses on my exposed skin. He trailed down to my legs and spread them open.
“You good?” he asked, glancing up at me.
“Yes,” I responded breathily.
“You're so wet for me,” he grinned, pressing his fingers against my wet underwear. I squirmed as I tried to close my legs only for him to hold them open.
“None of that,” he responded harshly. I let out a whimper as I nodded my head. He pressed a few open mouth kisses to my thighs causing me to try to press up as I felt pleasure throughout my body.
“Aus please,” I repeated. My hands pulled on the cuffs as I tried to reach down for Auston.
“Ah ah ah,” he tisked, reaching up and squeezed my breast causing me to let out a loud moan.
His fingers slipped under my underwear and he pushed a finger into my entrance. I closed my eyes as I felt intense pleasure fill my body.
“Just get in me. I’m not going to last,” I told him. He looked up at me with wide eyes.
“God I love you,” he pressed another kiss to my thigh before slipping my underwear off. He reached over to his bedside drawer and grabbed a condom. Once he had it on he lined himself up with my entrance.
“You okay?” he questioned. I opened my eyes looking up at him hazily.
“Yes,” I responded and that was all he needed to hear before he was pushing into me. We both let out a moan as he slowly slid inside me. My body twitched as it stretched around him.
“Wait,” I called out when I was starting to feel overwhelmed with pleasure. He held himself up on shaky arms as he stopped moving.
“What’s wrong?” he asked frantically.
“Nothing.” I let out a deep breath as I tried to relax myself.
“Are your hands okay?” he questioned reaching out to tap my left wrist. I nodded my head.
“Speak Amelia I need to hear it,” he respond.
“Yes. I just,” I paused, taking another breath. I’ve never felt this much pleasure. It was like sensory overload but in a good way.
“Feels so good,” I continued. He grinned as he leaned down to start kissing me. After a minute I took another deep breath, “okay. Move,” I said. Auston was quick to listen and continued pressing into me. When he was fully inside he paused.
“Good?”
“Yes move,” I demanded moving my hands against the handcuffs. Auston quickly listened and started thrusting inside of me at a steady pace. The room filled with our moans as he pushed in and out of me. After a minute he quickened his pace.
“God your so fucking hot,” he moaned as he leaned down to press open mouth kisses to my next. I arched my back so that he was able to go deeper.
“Babe,” he moaned. I tightened my walls around his dick as he continued to push in and out of me.
“Oh my god Aus,” I screamed.
“I’m close,” I cried out as he hit me at just the right angle. He pressed a kiss to my lips before pushing up higher so he could change the angel. My hands fought against the handcuffs as my orgasm took over my entire body. A tingling sensation running through me. Auston continued to fuck into me as I rided out my orgasm. Not even a minute later he was coming. He collapsed against my chest as his orgasm took over. We breathed deeply as we tried to catch our breath.
“That was amazing,” I said, still out of breath. Auston let out a laugh as he slowly pulled out of me. I let out a gasp once he was fully out. He pulled the condom off and tied it before tossing it into the garbage.
“So amazing,” he pressed a kiss to my lips before laying down next to me. He grabbed the key to the handcuffs and reached up to unlock my hands. I pulled them down to myself as soon as they were released. He reached out though and pulled my right hand to him.
“Are you okay?” he questioned inspecting my wrist.
“Yeah they don't hurt, my arms are just tired,” I said truthfully. He pressed a kiss to my wrist before pushing himself up.
“We gotta clean up,” he said. I let out a whine shaking my head no.
“I’m too tired.”
Auston pressed a kiss to the side of my head before standing up.
“C’mon I’ll carry you,” Auston said before leaning down to scoop me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck leaning my head against him. He walked us over to the bathroom and then he set me down on the counter.
“Aus this isn't sanitary,” I whined as he set me down.
“Shh,” he whispered as he leaned forward to press a kiss to my lips.
“I’ll clean it later.”
He walked over to the shower and turned it on, setting the temperature just right.
“Alright, it's ready,” he said, walking over to me. He helped me off the counter and lead me to the shower. Once we were in he quickly helped me wash up before helping me out.
I grabbed the first t-shirt I saw slipping it on and then some of Auston’s boxers before crawling into the bed.
“I’m going to let Felix in,” Auston said as he went over to the door.
“I’m going to sleep,” I mumbled, pressing my face into the pillow. Auston laughed as he crawled into bed beside me. He spooned up behind me and not long after we were joined by Felix.
“Love you,” I mumbled before slipping into a deep sleep.

Baby?
Summary: Y/n wants a baby with Will, but he doesn’t really know what he wants
Warning(s): Talks of a Baby, Fowl Language, and Some Crying
Tumblr media
“We’re pregnant!” Mitch says to Willy, Auston, and I. Us three all gasp and I hug Steph then Mitch, “Congratulations!” I say and they smiled.
I look at Willy and he makes no facial expression, “That’s great.” Willy put on a fake smile and I raise my eyebrow.
“What’s wrong?” I asked him, “Nothing, baby.” He says and kissed my lips. “I’m gonna be the best aunt!” I said, since Mitch was my brother.
They both laugh, “Yes you will!” Steph says and I hug her again. “Do you know if it’s a boy or a girl?” I asked them, “Yes! We waited to find the gender out before we told anyone, it’s a boy.” Mitch says.
“Awe, that’s so sweet.” I said and put my hand on my heart with a pouty lip, “Think of any names?” I asked them, “Not yet.” Steph says and I nod, “Well congratulations, you two.” I say.
They smiled, “Thanks for being supportive, bestie.” Steph grins and hugs me, “Hey, you’d be supportive if it was the other way around.” I say.
“Yeah I would.” She says, “Speaking of that, when are you gonna get Y/n pregnant, Wills?” Auston asked him, “Hey, Auston, shut up!” Will says.
I furrowed my eyebrows, “I think that’d be cool, I always love kids so having one would be amazing.” I gush.
“Auston, when will you learn to be quiet?! Like shit.” William says, shaking his head, “It was a simple question, asshole, don’t be mean. I’m wondering too.” I said.
William scoffed and walks out to the porch, “What is up his ass today?” Steph asked. “I have no idea, he is never this rude.” I say and excuse myself.
“Hey, what the fuck was that?” I asked him, he ignores me. “Hello, asshole, I’m talking to you.” I snap my fingers in front of his face.
His face turned red, “God damn it, Y/n, can’t you learn to give me space?” He asked, “You are such an asshole.” I say and felt tears well up in my eyes.
“Bye.” I said and grab my keys from him and go back inside to say bye to all them, “I don’t know what he’ll do but he ain’t coming home.” I said.
I begin crying and Steph pats my back, “Go home and get some rest, okay? We’ll try and talk to him, babe.” Steph comforts me, “Thank you.” I say and she nods.
“Bye, Y/n.” Mitch smiled and kissed my head, “Bye.” I said, “Bye, Auston. Sorry that Will flipped out on you like that.” I say and he shrugs hugging me.
I wave one last time and go home.
A Few Hours Later
“Y/n?” I heard William say, “Will? What’re you doing here?” I asked him. “I kind of live here and I came to talk to my girl.” He says and I stifle out a laugh.
He sits next to me, “I’m so sorry, for acting like that.” He says, “Like what?” I challenged, “Sorry for acting like a dick and lashing out like that.” He says.
“I just want to know why?” I said to him, “Well I’ve been thinking about it and I don’t want no kids, so I knew the conversation would get flipped to us, so when it did I got angry.” Will told me.
I sighed, “Baby, we don’t need to have kids right now, and it is something that is for the future. We need to remember we are still in our early 20’s and still have a life.” I said.
“I’m glad we’re on the same page.” He says to me, I grin. “Plus, if the baby was here now, no sex for a while.” I chuckled.
He looks at me, “You’re totally right.” He said and laughed before kissing me. “I’m so sorry for being so rude to you.” He says and kisses my cheek.
“It’s okay, did you apologize to Auston?” I asked him, rubbing his arm, “Of course.” He smiled and I nod. “I know he was upset.” I told him.
He frowns, “Yeah, and I apologized to him.” Will says and kisses me again. “I love you, Y/n Marner.” He says to me, “I love you even more, William Andrew Michael Junior Nylander Altelius.” I laughed.

Angels Like You (Can't Fly Down Here With Me)(Chapter 4)(A. Matthews/M. Marner)
Tumblr media
Mitch and Auston roll into practice together and park next to the same entrance they do every single practice. Business as usual, even though all Mitch wants to do is crawl back into bed and cry or actually murder someone with all the conflicted feelings he has. Auston being at his place this morning has made it slightly more bearable though. Just his presence makes everything seem kind of okay, and as they get out of the car, it’s almost as if he reads Mitch’s mind and puts his hand on his thigh and squeezes gently, in an effort to comfort him enough to stop him from actually vibrating with nerves. “You gonna be okay? I can always tell Keefe you’re too hungover, or sick, or whatever you want the story to be.”
Mitch’s breath catches, which he blames on Auston forcing him out of his head so suddenly, not on his touch, and smiles a bit, but shakes his head. “I’m okay. Honestly. I think this is the best thing for me right now, to just continue life as usual.”
Auston knows he’s lying, knows Mitch well enough to tell when he’s not being totally honest, but he smiles at him anyways and nods. “If you need anything just tell me, alright? Anything.” Auston actually might jump in front of a bus with how overly affectionate he knows he sounds, but Mitch smiles slightly and glances at Auston before looking back down at his lap, and he forgets to be disgusted with himself. They drag themselves out of the car and as they grab their bags, Will comes up from behind them and pushes himself between the two of them, an arm around each of their shoulders.
“Morning, boys,” Will starts, all too energetic and bubbly for the tense air around them. It breaks the grey cloud looming over Mitch’s head a bit, though, but when he visibly perks up Auston’s heart clenches. He’s happy, of course, but almost jealous it wasn’t him to snap him out of it.
Why couldn’t it be him?
“Morning, Will. How ya doing, bud?”
“Great, actually.” The two of them trail off into a conversation about Will’s exciting morning, leaving Auston to berate himself. He wants so badly to be William at this moment. The jealousy he feels makes him want to vomit. He actually might be sick, because what the fuck. It’s his two best friends. It’s not like Mitch even likes him back, never mind loves him the way Auston does. He has no fucking right to be jealous, but he can’t help it. Mitch is his entire world, and he’d kill to just put a smile on his pretty face, and Will is able to do it in the first two seconds of them seeing each other. He doesn’t want anyone to make Mitch as happy as he does, and it's gross and disgusting and toxic but he can’t help it because it’s how he feels. He hates it, but it’s the truth.
Mitch notices his silence and when they sit down next to each other in their stalls, he tries to ask him what’s up by knocking their knees together. Auston just shakes his head and bites his tongue, swallowing down the three words he wants to say more than anything to save himself from the embarrassment and disappointment he knows he would feel for the rest of time if he was actually honest about this. It’s the one thing he knows he can’t share with Mitch, and it’s the one thing he wants to the most. Mitch just nods, pauses for a second, then starts without looking up at Auston right away.
“Will invited us over to his place for dinner tonight. Said his apartment’s been empty with Kap gone, and I haven’t been over there in a while…” The guilt that displays itself all over Mitch’s face is more than enough to have Auston nodding his head in agreement, even though he knows exactly what Will is planning to do as soon as he has the two of them in a room together with him and no fans or teammates or staff to see. He just does not have the energy for it today, but who could say no to Mitch. “Cool! Awesome, I’ll, uh, I’ll tell him we can go, then. What time do you want me to pick you up?”
It has to stop, Auston knows that. The two of them have been driving each other around since rookie year, and it’s probably part of what led to all of his messed up feelings. Spending so much time with each other, it’s bound to happen to at least one of them, and the one ended up being Auston. So it has to stop. “I can drive myself, you know.” He doesn’t mean for it to come out as snide as it does, because when would he ever purposely try to hurt Mitch, but the second the words leave his mouth he regrets all of it.
“Oh,” Mitch nods, looking like someone just sucker-punched him in the gut. “Uhm, yeah, I know. I just thought that, since I usually pick you up to go to things, I would. But if you don’t want to, that's fine. Yeah.” He shoots his gaze to the floor, unsure of what to do now. He wasn’t expecting it to be that big of a deal, but now he feels like he’s suffocating.
Auston’s chest hurts so bad he could scream, and even though his heart is saying to lighten up and back off, when he opens his mouth, his tone stays the same as before. “I just think we should give each other some space sometimes. It’s not like you’re my boyfriend or anything.” He spits the last word and actually cannot physically remove the disgust from his face. What the fuck is wrong with you?! Relax!
Mitch doesn’t look up right away, but nods and bites his lip. Auston gets up and starts putting his stuff from his bag into his cubby, and out of the corner of his eye he can see Mitch unsure of what to do with himself, playing with his watch absentmindedly while he chews the living hell out of the inside of his cheek. He continues to watch him while he gets up from his place and stands up next to Auston.
“What is up with you lately, man?” Mitch suddenly bursts, his voice raised a level louder than anyone else in the room. The entire team falls silent, and Auston knows for a fact that usually that would make Mitch calm down, chill out, because despite the fact that he has an A on his chest and has the centre of attention in most rooms he walks into, he still forgets what he wants to say as soon as he has the room’s attention. He continues right on, though, without a second thought about who’s listening. “You’re on and you’re off. You show up to my place all ‘I love you I care about you you don’t need her’ and now you’re snappy and rude. What the fuck have I done to you to hate me so fucking much that when I’m already down, you act like I’m fucking stupid and don’t notice you look miserable when you’re around me?!”
Auston turns towards Mitch, but when he sees the look on his face, any comeback that was on his lips dies right there. He’s seen that look on him, pointed towards the opposing player on a faceoff, or towards a ref after a stupid call against his team, and heartbreakingly towards himself in the mirror after a game he feels like he lost. Auston’s always been the one to wipe that look away, to tell him everythings going to be okay, to calm him down and remind him there’s absolutely nothing wrong with him. That look has never been pointed towards him. Never.
Will stands up then and starts towards Mitch, looking frantically back and forth between Mitch and Auston, looking for Auston to tell him what to do. Auston just stares at Mitch, tongue in cheek, so Will tries to butt in. “Hey, Mitch, I think we should chill out a bit, eh?” “Get the fuck away from me Will. I need to know what his fucking problem is.” Mitch shoves Will to the side, and even though he could’ve easily stood his ground, he backs away a step, not leaving his side completely. Will looks up at Auston, completely unsure of how he’s supposed to help in this situation. Auston thinks his lungs might have actually collapsed because he suddenly can't get a breath in. John makes his way over to the three of them from the other side of the locker room and puts his arms on Auston’s biceps, knowing his tells for when he needs right there, in his space, to calm him down before he implodes. He turns him away from Mitch and forces Auston to make eye contact with him, to look away from Mitch. “Shower, Aus?”
He doesn’t respond, but numbly follows his captain to the showers without looking back to see Will push Mitch into his seat and sit next to him with an arm around his shoulder, all the fight evidently escaping Mitch’s body. “Suit up and ice in two minutes, boys,” John announces to the team before leaving the room.
The door to the showers swings shut and John walks over to where Auston is leaning against a stall door. “What just happened?”
He didn’t even feel like crying two seconds ago, but with his captain so close to him, looking at him like he’s a wounded puppy, he can’t keep it together anymore. John stays right in front of him, doesn’t flinch when Auston’s shoulders start to shake and the tears start to stream down his face.
“I love him, John,” Auston admits, defeated. His shoulders slump and he doesn’t really look at John, instead staring at his hands, his slides, John’s shoulder. “I love him, and he doesn’t love me, he’ll never love me the way I love him, and I think I might die. I actually think it might kill me, how much I love him.” John just shakes his head, looking sadder than Auston has ever seen him, and pulls him into a tight hug. He holds him there for a couple seconds, until Auston grunts a little and steps back. “Yeah, I, uh, I love him more than I’ve ever loved anyone or anything. Love isn’t even a big enough word to describe the feelings I have for him. But he, uh, he doesn’t love me, and I don’t really know how to get over it.”
“Oh, kid, you don’t.”
“What?” Auston was expecting some sort of advice, maybe an ‘I know’, not a fucking death sentence.
“You don’t just ‘get over it’, kid. It doesn’t work that way. I’m sure you’ve had girlfriends you’ve ‘loved’, and you ‘love’ your dog, and your team, but this is a totally different thing. I believe that once in your life, you meet someone who changes the way you see the world. They take everything you think you know, throw it in the garbage, and reteach it to you. They show you what true, unconditional, absolute love is. You feel like you can’t breathe when you’re without them, and you only feel truly complete when they’re next to you. You can’t imagine your life without them. That’s your soulmate, and if you don’t end up with them, you might ‘move on’, you might meet someone and get married and have kids and have your dream life, but you’ll never truly forget them. They’re your one big, true, epic love.”
“Is that you and Aryne?”
John nods, smiling a little, but remaining somber. “Yeah, it is.”
“Is that, uh, is that me and Mitch?” “I think so, buddy. And if he doesn’t feel the same, it’ll feel like it’ll kill you, but I promise you you’ll survive. It’ll be hell, but you will get through it, and you will be happy again. Maybe never as happy as you are when you’re around him, but close. And if he does feel the same, you’ll be happy as long as you’re with him. Even when the entire world feels like it’s crumbling down around you, he’ll be there, and it’ll make everything kind of okay.”
Auston is unsure how to respond, how to say something even close to as emotionally intelligent as John. “What should I do?” he asks.
“I can’t tell you that, bud. All I can tell you is he is your one true, epic love, and if you let him slip away before ever telling him how you feel, you will never, ever forgive yourself.”
Auston nods and leans in to briefly hug his captain, then shakes his entire body out, takes a breath, and goes to strap on his skates. Mitch is his soulmate. It’s something he’s always had an idea of, something he always thought might possibly be true, but to hear someone else say it out loud, to hear the actual words spoken by his captain of all people, it convinces whatever part of him was holding out on the thought.
Mitch is his soulmate.
Mitch is his soulmate.
He doesn’t know if Mitch feels the same. In fact, he’s almost sure he doesn’t. But if he doesn’t say anything, he’ll regret it for the rest of his life. He pauses where he is, bent over, tying his skate laces. He sits up with his hands on his knees and looks at John, who’s across the room, tying his own laces. “I have to go.”
“And do what?” John doesn’t look up, but Auston knows he has his full attention.
“I just have to do something. I have to tell him, I think, but it has to be perfect, because he’s perfect. I have to, uh, I have to go,” Auston trails off and starts taking off his skates at lightning speed. John look up at him briefly, a small smile on his face.
“Don’t worry about anything, Aus. I’ll take care of Keefe.” Auston nods without looking at his captain, his mind spinning, but completely and utterly focused on the one thing he knows is true.
Mitch is my soulmate. I am utterly in love with Mitch Marner.
And I’m gonna teach him what real love is.

you’re all I want - f.andersen
a/n: bringing this back, one of my first Freddie writings that was totally inspired by this picture and the all stars in general. sorry that I haven’t written anything in a long while, I always get super busy for some reason, but hope you enjoy this one !!
warnings: insecure freddie.
Tumblr media
You sat on the bench, looking up and watching as Freddie taped his stick.
He had asked if you wanted to attend the NHL All Star weekend and of course you weren’t going to turn him down, but what you hadn’t expected was for him to keep you at his side the entire time. When he was doing media; he had asked if you could stay behind the scenes, when he was meeting with all the other players; he was introducing you to them as well, and now when he finally got to the locker room where everyone was preparing for the skills competition; he asked if you could stay with him until it was time to get dressed.
You didn’t want to seem like the clingy girlfriend and also be the only girlfriend in the room, so you were about to turn it down and tell Fred that you could just go find his family and sit down with them as you waited, but after seeing a couple of other wives and girls go in, you decided to stay with Freddie.
And you’re kind of glad for that decision.
You watched as he bit his lip in concentration, his eyes focused solely on his stick. You took this time to take him all in; the way the hair on his face was slightly scruffy, his moustache shorter than his beard. You looked at his eyebrows and how they were scrunched together, causing the wrinkle in his forehead to cease more.
You watched his hands and how they worked, how much more bigger they were compared to yours but let’s be honest; everything about this man was much more bigger than you, and you smile at the fact that he’s yours.
Those thoughts don’t last long though, you’re knocked out of them by the calling of your name, and considering you only know two other people in this locker room, you know it’s either Mitch or Auston.
You turn your head and when you catch Mitch’s stare, he’s smiling and waving you over, “C’mere a sec!” You look back at Freddie and he softly smiles, gesturing to his teammate, “Go on then elskede.” Standing up, you walk up to the two boys, “What’s up?”
“Figured you were a little bored, you wanna help me tape my stick?” You merely nod and he hands you the piece of wood, “Just hold it there while I do the top...”
You watched carefully as he taped the top of his stick and you noticed that it was different from the way Fred does his, “Are all sticks different?” you find yourself asking, and Mitch raises his brow, “like taping?” he nods and bites off the end, smoothing it down with his thumb.
“I mean, some are the same way, like the top part, but most of the bottoms are different, especially with goalies, since their sticks are bigger and thicker.” You nod along at his words, “are players picky about their sticks, or is it any way every game?” he flips his stick and leans on it, “well, some players are really suspicious and try to get it right every time, but others; like myself, it doesn’t really matter.”
“here, you try.” he hands you the tape this time, and you shake your head, “No no, I don’t want to mess your stick up.” Mitch simply laughs, “Like I said Y/N, I'm not too picky, go ahead.” You hesitantly took the tape from his hands and he slowly shows you how to do it.
You’re on your last wrap around and Mitch gently smoothes it down, taking his stick back and inspecting it, “This is a great job Y/N.” You make a face, “You don't have to lie.” He laughs, “No really, this is great...” he turns around and taps Auston on the shoulder, “Hey Aus, look at Y/N’s tape job, it’s her first one.” Auston comes around and nods his head, “Hey look at that, that’s amazing.”
“Really?” You ask suspiciously and they nod their heads, “Yeah, here look, just ask the guys.” Auston tells you and brings a few of the other players over to take a look at it. Pretty soon, Jack Eichel, Travis Konecny, Mat Barzal, and Connor McDavid himself are all praising your work.
“That’s really great for a first time, might be better than all of ours.”
“Are you sure you did that and not Mitch?”
“Who knows, maybe she’s the one doing all of Mitch’s tape.”
“I’m not even that good.”
Mitch was happy his friends were playing along, if he was being honest, there were some lumps here and there and he knew that he would actually have to redo it, but he didn't want you to feel bad, especially after he told you it was fine no matter how you did it. He especially didn't want Fred to come after him for making you upset.
So, he watched as you smiled brightly at the praise, and eventually the conversation turned to the competition, you asking each of the guys which skill they were in and them asking more about you, telling you; any friend of Mitch is a friend of ours.
However, as you were talking with the younger guys, your boyfriend was on the other side of the room with a frown set on his face.
Freddie hated when he got this way, when he felt so, old.
He didn’t mind it at all when he saw you with guys you’re age, he’s not a controlling person, but there’s just something inside that makes him feel guilty, as if he's keeping you from living your life the way he thinks you should be.
Watching them all make you laugh, seeing how well you vibe with them and relate to them, the way he feels he can’t, makes him feel, dare he say it, insecure about his place in your life. You need someone who can converse with you like that, someone who's young, fun, and carefree. Fred’s too old to do the fortnite dances, too old to be speaking in ‘vine talk.’
I mean, he couldn’t even offer you to tape his stick, which would’ve been a young, fun thing to do. Instead, he did it himself because he was too superstitious that he wouldn’t play properly if anyone but him got his equipment ready. Something only the old guys do.
He’s so lost in his thoughts that he doesn’t notice you're staring and when he hears your footsteps coming toward him, he averts his eyes from the floor to his pads, trying to make it look like he wasn’t just doubting himself.
As soon as you saw his frown and the crease on his forehead, you knew something was bothering him and so you wished all the boys good luck and walked over, sitting beside him and grabbing hand, “You alright bub?” He nods and sits down, undoing all the straps and you place your hand on his cheek, turning his face to look at yours, “Bub, talk to me.” He stares at you for a second and sighs.
“I just, I'm sorry that I didn't ask if you wanted to tape my stick, I'm sorry if I didn’t notice that you were bored just sitting on the bench-” His words confuse you and you shake your head, causing him to stop, “Fred, I wasn’t bored, and I hadn’t meant to tape Mitch’s stick, he just offered. I’m fine with just watching you get your equipment ready, it’s yours anyway.” He’s still not buying it and you sigh, putting your hand on his knee, “What’s wrong?”
He shrugs, “Every time I see you around people your age, guys your age, I can't help but feel out of place, and it’s not that you can’t hang out with them but I always get this feeling of...” he trails off and you finish for him, “Guilt?” he nods but his eyebrows are furrowed and you huff a laugh, “I feel the same way too Freddie, whenever I see you with people your age, I always feel like I'm a little kid you have to watch over. But, at the end of the day, we have each other to remind ourselves of how much we love each other. I love you so much Fred, I could care less of how old you are. I could care less if you have a ten ‘o’ clock bedtime, if you only watch golf all day, and if you don’t find some memes funny. You’re amazing just the way you are, you’re all I want Freddie.”
He nods and leans in to place a kiss to your temple, “Thank you elskede, I love you too.” You smile and run your fingers through his hair, “I’m very lucky to have you.” He shakes his head and chuckles, “Darling I think I'm the lucky one.”
You both sit there as he finishes up with his equipment, glancing at each other and giggling when you catch the other’s eye. Soon after, it’s time for you to leave the room so you wish him luck, and whisper that you love him while connecting your lips.
Fred watches as you retreat down the hallway and Mitch comes up behind him, “You little sap.”

Ice Cold ~Part 4
A/N: As promised here is the next part! Hope you guys enjoy it!
I woke up and tried to stretch but I wasn't able to. I was confused for a minute until I remembered William stayed over. I turned in his arms to be greeted by his sleepy smiling face. His eyes were closed but he was still so cute.
"Morning lovely." He mumbled.
"Morning Willy." I kissed his cheek and he opened one eye to look at me. "You're so cute. Sorry that just came out without thinking."
"Don't be sorry." He said beaming. "I want to know what you're thinking."
"You always say that but I'm pretty sure you don't."
"I do though. Why do you say that? Is it bad?"
"No absolutely not! I wouldn't be thinking bad or mean things about you. I think you're lovely."
"You're lovely." He said,  pulling me closer to kiss me softly. "I want to know what goes on in your mind."
"There's something about you that makes me think I couldn't keep my mouth shut if I tried."
"How come?"
"You do this thing..I told you about it before, but you do this thing where you just look at me with these warm eyes and speak softly and it kinda just short circuits my brain. I just lose total control over what I say. I'm sorry, is that completely dumb?"
"It's not dumb. I'm sorry I have that effect."
"I'm not. It feels good. My brain just doesn't fucking work. Most people would say that's normal though."
"I don't think so. You're far too intelligent." He smiled and brushed my hair aside. I leaned in and kissed his lips a little harder than we had shared before he didn't respond though and pulled away. I blushed dejectedly.
"Far too intelligent.. yeah right. Not feeling very intelligent right now. I'm sorry."
"Don't be! I just don't want to lose control with you."
"I trust you." I said quietly, shrugging.
"(Y/n)..that's not it at all. I just want everything to be out in the open first. I want to take this slow if you don't mind."
"Of course I don't mind! I'm so sorry."
"Don't be sorry, love. Do you want to get dressed and maybe go to my place?"
"Will Auston be there?"
"Maybe but I'll tell him to be nice."
"Yeah I guess I'd like that."
"Do you want me to leave so you can change?"
"I don't care. You're my boyfriend, you can stay if you want." I said taking off my shirt and putting on a sports bra I wore the day before. "Does it matter what I wear?"
"Not really. Whatever you're comfortable with Kas seeing you in."
"So I can wear comfy relaxing clothes?"
"Absolutely. Just um wear your hair down if you don't mind?"
"How come?" I asked pulling some leggings up over my butt.
"I just really like it down that's all." He mumbled sounding flustered.
"You're so cute. I'll wear it down." I said before kissing his forehead.
It didn't take long before we were outside of the apartment. I was really nervous as he drove underground to park the car. I was quiet when he got out and opened my door for me. He grabbed my hand as we walked to the elevator. It was a really beautiful building, lots of really expensive looking stuff. I was fidgeting with the end of the shirt when he grabbed my hand.
"What's the matter?"
"It's nothi-"
"Yes it is. Your feelings matter, love. What is it?" He said softly.
"I feel like I'm dressed too sloppy to be in here."
"That's all?" I nodded and he hugged me, chuckling lightly. "You look so cute (y/n). Besides there's no dress code for mine and Kappy's apartment. If he's even wearing pants when we get there it'll be a rare occasion. I asked him to but he probably won't."
"How come?"
"He knows you're coming over and he wants to frustrate me."
"Aw is he trying to make you jealous?" I teased.
"Yes. Very much so. I'm not usually the jealous type but.."
"Hey it's okay. I get jealous sometimes of other girls with you so I guess it's only fair. You could take your pants off too, then I'd be too distracted by you to ever even notice Kasperi." I said laughing but he wasn't. "I'm sorry that was a dumb joke.."
"It wasn't your joke I was looking at you like that for. You really feel jealous?"
"William you could do so much better. It's hard not to."
"That is the most absurd thing I've ever heard." He said opening the door.
"He's right, that is pretty ridiculous. Willy here is all about you. Nice to see you again (y/n)."
"Uh yeah you to Kas. What are you watching?" I asked walking over and sitting on the couch beside the chair he was on, only wearing boxers as William predicted.
"I recorded the vegas game last night so I'm watching it again. William said it was your favourite team and I want to see what they have that we don't."
"How about a winning streak?" I asked with a smirk raising my eyebrow at him.
"Okay low blow." He said making me laugh.
"Alright, how about multiple defensemen that can absolutely clobber players with clean hits?"
"Nah we can do that."
"Fleury."
"We've got Fred!"
"I was gonna say a hot Swede named William but you've both got one of them."
"I don't like this game." William said cuddling into my side while Kas laughed.
"Aw babe don't be sad!"
"He's such a jealous baby when it comes to you it's not even funny."
"Kas shut up!"
"No she should know how you just go on and on and on about how Peter is awful and doesn't deserve her." He teased. "I bet if I gave you a high five he'd legit growl at me."
"We're not finding out." William said holding my arms tight to me side making me laugh.
"Aw William stop." I said giggling as he started tickling my sides. I didn't even notice Mitch and Auston come in until Auston spoke up.
"Never saw one without the other, did you?" He asked in an irritated voice.
"Leave them alone Aus." Mitch said before throwing himself over the couch beside me. "Honestly ignore him, we all do."
"That's the main issue we have Mitch." Auston grumbled.
"Yeah whatever. Hi, I'm Mitch."
"I know who you are Mitch, we've met." I said laughing.
"Yeah but not like this. That was just a quick introduction before pictures! This is meeting a friend."
"Yeah right." Auston snorted making William push me aside and drag Auston into another room.
"I'm sorry.."
"(Y/n) don't be." Kasperi said rolling his eyes.
"What are you sorry for?" Mitch asked softly.
"I'm sorry that I'm causing problems with Auston. I feel so awful about it." I heard yells coming from the other room and I sighed. "Maybe I should leave. I'm making everything worse."
"You don't have to go. Auston is being an idiot. He can get over it and you can hang out with us."
"I don't know, I think I better leave." I stood up and slid my shoes back on.
"Can I at least give you a ride home? Willy said it takes a long time on transit."
"Mitch come on you don't have to do that."
"I want to. Let's go, if you want to go."
"As long as you're sure I'm not being a huge burden.."
"I'm positive."
"Lead the way I guess."
I followed behind him quietly through the hallways and down the elevator into the parking garage. He led me to his black shiny car, I dont know what brand I'm not a car fan, and we got in.
"I know you think that was your fault but it's really not. Auston is just a brooding bitch." He said making me laugh.
"I just feel bad. He said Auston is like his brother and I don't want him fighting with his brothers because of me."
"I'm sure William has told you that things with us are.."
"Complicated is what he said."
"Yeah that's actually a really good word for it. I can't tell you everything now, it's not my place but I promise that Willy will tell you as soon as he can. We're literally all waiting on Auston right now. Everything will make so much more sense after you know."
"I just don't want to upset anyone and it seems like everyone is upset." I looked out the window completely ignoring the confusing jumble of words he just spewed.
"Nobody is upset. We all want you to be comfortable. Is there anything I can do to help? Make you feel more comfortable with us?"
"Tell Auston to get off my dick." I mumbled making Mitch burst out into giggles. "Seriously though. I'm not doing anything to him. I'm never gonna hurt William. I don't want to take him from you guys or distract him from his career or anything. I just want to be around him sometimes and I don't think it's too much to ask for that I spend time with my boyfriend without feeling like the most hated person in the world."
"You're not the most hated. Auston has a hard time that's all. He hates my girlfriend the most."
"Why?"
"I don't really know."
"Liar."
"I'm keeping a secret from her and he doesn't think it's fair. But that's why it's so weird that he won't give Willy the okay to tell you."
"I dunno.."
"I'm also keeping a secret from Auston though and he's keeping one from me. So really Auston is just in a bad mood because of everyone and everything."
"I'm sorry that he's like that. I can see that it's hard on you."
"It's not the biggest deal. Well I shouldn't say that. It's not something I can't handle."
"Is that William?" I asked as we pulled up to my place.
"Sure looks like him."
"How did he get here first?"
"You should ask him that. I'll let you get to that. Can I get your number so we can get to know each other better? I have a feeling you're going to be around for a long time and I'd like to be friends. Maybe we could go on double dates!"
"That would be cute Mitch, I'd like that." I gave him my number and stepped out of the car. "Bye, drive safe."
"See ya." He drove away and I walked up to my door.
"Hi.."
"Don't run away like that again." He murmured pulling me into a hug. I started crying immediately and he pulled away slightly to look me in the eye. "Why are you crying, love?"
"I'm sorry I just didn't want to make it worse. I always make things worse."
"No, no, no you don't. You make everything better for me (y/n). I mean that. I don't care if Auston is being dumb, he can get over it. And he absolutely cannot drive you away from me and my house. I won't let him."
"He's like your brother though. I don't want you fighting with him."
"Brothers fight, sweetheart. I'm not bothered by it." He took my hands in his before continuing. "I like you far too much to let Auston scare you away baby. He'll come around."
"It's not fair that you're doing that brain quitting voice on me right now."
"I'm sorry."
"No you aren't." I said making us both laugh.
"I'm not."
"Are you sure you're not bothered?"
"Positive." He kissed me softly before breaking away smiling. "Let's hangout here instead."
"Now there's a smart idea." He laughed again as I led the way to my living room.

toes | auston matthews
inspired by the song toes by layne elizabeth
It’s the kind of late summer night that actually gives you hope that fall is coming- cool, low humidity, and yet not overly windy. When some of your friends had texted about meeting up that night at a rooftop bar while the weather was still nice, you’d jumped at the chance- both to see your friends again and to actually go out. It’d been a hectic summer between graduation back in the spring, the job and apartment hunt, and then actually starting the new job. You were excited to see your friends, catch up, and relax for a night, to not think about anything too stressful.
Your friends’ table in the corner of the bar has been pretty loud all night, friends sharing stories about their new jobs and roommates. It’s exactly the kind of night you needed, low key, relaxing, stress-free…
“Auston!” One of the guys shouts suddenly and there appears your ex-boyfriend, Toronto Maple Leafs star center, drawing whispers and stares from all around.
What was that about a stress-free night?
Auston rolls up, exchanging high fives, handshakes, and hugs around the table, but wisely stopping before making it to you or your best friend. “Hey.” He says softly instead, slipping into the seat next to you. Somehow the only available seat? Where did all these traitors come from? “How’s things?”
“Fine.” You plaster a fake smile onto your face and then nudge your best friend. “Hey, bathroom?”
She senses that it’s not really a question, more a request and stands, leading you through the crowd to the bathroom and pulling you inside. There are a few girls waiting in line, but you two make your way past them into the corner where a mirror is, looking more to talk anyway. “Are you okay?” She asks instantly.
“I’m-” You blow out a big breath. “I don’t know.”
You and Auston had met last December and to say things had progressed quickly between you guys would be an understatement. It was only a few days before you two were practically inseparable whenever he was in town; you’d met his family when they came in for a string of home games, and he’d come to Christmas with yours, despite the short period of time you’d been dating. Your friend group and his friend group could be found out together all the time and if you weren’t all together, it wasn’t uncommon for you to come back from class to see him hanging out with your friends or for him to call you from a road trip and find you out to lunch with some of his teammates’ girlfriends.
And then, as quickly as it’d all come; it’d crashed to the ground. To this day, you can’t quite figure out exactly what the cause was. You just remember lots of tears, some fighting between the two of you, and an agreement not to see each other.
And then, the next day, a photo of him posted on someone’s twitter with a girl on his lap.
A few months later and you’re settled about this more- it’s not the girl that bothers you more than it was the fact that the whole thing felt like a slap in the face. Did you mean that little to him that he could just replace you that easily?
Auston had gone home after their early playoffs exit and been doing his own thing ever since. You had kind of thought you’d never see him again once he came back- that your friends would go back to being your friends and his would be his, as much as that sucked for both of you to lose friends like that.
Your best friend purses her lips at your uncertain response to her question. “Well, I’m here for you, no matter what. If you want to leave, we can.”
“No,” You shake your head. “I don’t want to ruin the night. It’ll be fine.”
“Okay,” Your best friend shrugs as the two of you leave the bathroom. “Your decision. Just remember; just say the word and we’re out of here.”
You’re almost regretting your decision to stay when you get back to the table and the seating arrangement hasn’t changed, but you’re determined to stick this out. If Auston can be fine about this, so can you.
Except it’s pretty clear to you after a short and frustrating period of time that you are not fine with this. But you’re determined not to let this ruin your night, so more alcohol it is.
Slipping away to the bar, you order a shot as well as your next drink and then lean against it, breathing slow, deep breaths that should be calming. The whole bar suddenly seems hotter, even though it’s definitely only gotten cooler out.
The bartender returns, sliding both your drinks over, and offers you a total. You fumble for your debit card for a second but a hand is sliding over your shoulder with a card before you can reach for yours. “I’ve got it.”
Of course it’s Auston. You can’t fight the bitter laugh that escapes and reach for the shot, tipping it back as he waits for a drink of his own to arrive. “Come on,” He tries for teasing. “Is my presence really that awful for you?”
“You know,” You’re just drunk enough to have this conversation- tipsy enough to be loose-lipped, but not so drunk that you don’t know what you’re saying. “That’s a great question, isn’t it?”
Auston steers you to the end of the bar, where the crowd is a little less and the noise is a little lower. “I didn’t mean it to be. Awful for you, I mean. I just wanted to see you.”
You can’t help but give him a look. “You shouldn’t have ambushed me! If you wanted to see me, you should have asked me!”
“Yeah, and you would have answered if I had?” There’s a moment of silence between you two, since you both know you probably wouldn’t have, at least not right away. “I’m sorry,” He apologizes. “I didn’t come here to fight with you tonight, YN.”
You raise an eyebrow. What could he really have expected? “Then what did you come for?”
“I was hoping…” He starts. “I wanted to see…”
“Spit it out!”
“I want to get back together!”
You actually choke on your drink. “What?”
“Come on.” Auston reaches out and rubs your shoulder soothingly. You hate how his touch still makes you feel, both comforted from the gesture and like all your nerve endings are on fire. “Is it-is it a surprise? We were good together! Or at least, I thought so.”
“We were great together.” You agree, feeling a little hysterical. How is it still getting warmer on this freaking rooftop? “Until we weren’t. And then I didn’t hear a single word from you until tonight, when you announce you want to get back together!” You’re pretty sure you’re mildly panicking, not at all helped by what Auston says next.
“I loved you.” It’s so soft, you’re almost sure you misheard it until he follows it up with the rest of his declaration. “I loved you then and I still do. I don’t want to lose this, YN.”
“Well, I can’t do this like last time, Auston.” There are actual tears running down your cheeks and you hate yourself a little for it. “I can’t jump into something that crazy and be broken again afterwards.” His thumb comes up to brush your tears away and you see him go to interrupt, to probably say something about how this time won’t be like last time, and you continue. “And don’t say it won’t be like that again; you can’t guarantee that!”
“I can’t,” He says, sounding reluctant to admit it. His hand is still softly stroking your cheek, keeping the two of you closer than you’ve been since your break-up. “I just know we’re better together and I want to do this again with you.”
The moments like that are the ones when you remember why you were with him in the first place. “Let’s start with dinner first.” You say, and can’t help the smile that spreads across your face when you see Auston start to grin. “And then maybe we’ll go from there.”

Alone, Together | Together: Epilogue 5 | Morgan Rielly
Tumblr media
A/N:  There are not enough words in the English language to express how I feel about your engagement with this story and the fact that it has finally come to its (writing) end, so all I can and will say is: thank you.
Christmas Eve 2031
Morgan’s heart was full as he stood at the kitchen island watching Andy and Maia finish decorating the small batch of gingerbread cookies for Santa Claus with Bee.  Both kids were sitting on the countertop, fixing Smarties buttons and faces onto the icing before Bee scooped them off of the baking sheet and onto the plate.  The entire time they had been working in the kitchen, there were giggles and kisses and singing, with Morgan sneaking bites of the dough, causing his kids to scream and want some for themselves (Bee digressed and let them have only a little bit).  There were four cookies in total – one prepared to look like each member of the family.
“There we go!  Our cookies are ready for Santa!” Bee exclaimed as she held the plate up.  “Do you think Santa will like them?”
“He’s gonna think they’re so y…yummy,” Andy smiled proudly at his work.
“Mama…” Maia said.  “We need carrots for Rudolph and the reindeer!”  She looked towards her father for help.  “Dada, we need carrots for Rudolph!”
“C’mere Ladybug, come help me peel them,” he stretched out his arms, grabbing Maia so he could balance her on her hip as they walked towards the fridge.  He opened them, going for the baby carrots first playfully.
“No!” Maia yelled out.  “Rudolph and the reindeer are big!  They need big carrots!  They need those carrots!” she pointed at the big ones on another shelf.  “They will be hungry.”
“Okay okay,” Morgan said, grabbing a baby carrot in the bag with one hand before shoving it in his mouth, crunching loudly.  “Mmmmm, what if I ate all the carrots before Rudolph and the reindeer?”
“You can’t, dada,” Maia chastised her father.  “That’s no fair.  We need to be nice.”
Morgan smiled proudly at the words that came out of his daughter’s mouth.  “Yes, you’re right Maia.  We do need to be nice,” he affirmed as he kissed her cheek.  “You’re so smart Maia.”
“Smart like mommy.”
Bee looked over her shoulder, giving Morgan a playful look.  “You’re so smart like mommy” was in Morgan’s lexicon for both of his children for the last three years.  It was no wonder Maia picked it up.  “Smart like daddy too,” he grumbled playfully, giving Bee a look too.  “Okay, can you hand me the carrots so I can peel them?”
When all was said and done, Andy put the plate of gingerbread cookies on the coffee table, followed by Maia leaving the carrots.  Bee poured a cup of milk and placed it next to the cookies.  Andy even laid out a hand-written note signed by he and his sister, his near-perfect penmanship on display.
Dear Santa Claus
My name is Andrew Rielly and I am 6 years old.  My sister is Maia Rielly and she is 3 years old.  We hope you enjoy our cookies and that Rudolph and the reindeer eat the carrots.  Thank you for coming to our house. Thank you for the presents.
Love
Andy and Maia.
“Okay…we’ve gotta go to bed now or else Santa Claus won’t come!” Bee announced.  “Who’s ready to put on their PJs?!”
Andy and Maia raced upstairs with each other, disappearing into their bedrooms and getting their special Christmas pyjamas in their drawers.  Morgan and Bee followed, taking them into the washroom to help them brush their teeth before bed.  Bee went into Maia’s bedroom first, helping braid her hair before tucking her into bed.  Morgan came in too, sitting opposite Bee on the bed.
“Mama?” Maia’s voice asked, the fatigue of the day finally showing in her voice.
“Yes Ladybug?”
“Tomorrow, I can try flying like Rudolph?”
Morgan and Bee snorted at the same time.  “I don’t think so,” Morgan said.  “You can’t fly, Maia.”
Maia didn’t seem happy with her parents’ answer.  But she digressed, pulling the covers up to her neck – exactly how she liked it.  “Will Santa bring presents for Bruce and Maggie?”
“Of course he will,” Bee answered quickly.  “Maggie’s been a good girl, hasn’t she?”
Maia nodded her head.  “Maggie’s a sweet girl.”
“And Bruce?”
“Bruce too,” Maia said before yawning.  She looked at Morgan with her sleepy eyes.  “Dada, can we get another puppy?”
Morgan paused.  He looked at Bee, who was already looking at him.  Maia was waiting for an answer.  “Maia…we’ll talk about it later, okay?  You need to go to sleep or else Santa won’t come visit.”
“Okay…” Maia digressed.  “Goodnight Mommy.  Goodnight Daddy.  You the best mommy and daddy ever.”
“Goodnight my Ladybug,” Morgan bent down to kiss her.  “Sleep tight.”
“Goodnight Maia.  Mommy loves you,” Bee kissed her too.
“I love you too Mommy.”
Morgan turned off the light as they left her room, closing the door gently.  Bee gave him a look the entire time.  They made their way towards Andy’s room, who was already in his bed, though he was stretching over to his bedside table, adjusting his Funko Pops of John Tavares and Auston Matthews.  When he noticed his parents walk in, he stopped.  “Hi mama, hi d…dada.”
“You ready to be made into a burrito?” Morgan asked, to which Andy nodded his head.  Bee and Morgan tucked him in just how he liked, a giant smile on his face the entire time.
“Dada?” Andy’s little voice asked once they were done.
“Yes my booboo bear?”
“Is S…S…Santa gonna visit my best friend Leon?” he asked, fighting with his eyelids to stay open instead of drop in their fatigue from the excitement of the day.
Morgan smiled as he caressed his little face.  “Of course Santa is going to visit Leon.  And I bet Leon will show you what he got from Santa tomorrow when he comes over with Aunt Angie, Uncle Mason, Nonno Rocco and Mémère Clarette.”
“And is Santa gonna visit J…J…Jace and Isabella?  And Noam?  And………Henry and Greta?”
“Of course.  He’s going to visit all of you because you’ve all been good boys and girls,” Morgan nodded his head.
Morgan watched as the gears in Andy’s head began shifting.  He loved that he was able to see Andy’s mind working in real time, even for the simplest things.  He was such an expressive boy.  Even though he had a bit of a rough start at school, everything was better now and Andy was in a much better place.  Andy’s brows burrowed and his face contorted a bit, all in an effort to think and not fall asleep.  “Mommy?”
“Yes Andy?”
“You know how Santa has r…r…reindeer?”
“Yes…”
“How do they fly?”
Bee couldn’t help but smile.  “I think if Santa told us, that would break the magic,” she said.  She leaned in and kissed his forehead.  “You’re such a smart boy, Andy.”
“I love you mommy,” he said softly, his eyes finally closing.
“Mommy loves you so much Andy.  You know Mommy loves you?”
“I know,” he barely got out.  “I love you too Daddy.”
“I love you too, Andy.”
***
“We’re getting another dog, aren’t we?” Bee asked an hour later as both she and Morgan were downstairs on the main floor, putting out the presents from Santa.  Bee stuffed the board game and books under the tree, while Morgan worked on the stocking stuffers.
“They’ve been asking for a year, Bumblebee,” Morgan said, as if that explained everything.  “Bruce and Maggie are so good with the kids, and they’re good with animals…what’s another dog?”
Bee rolled her eyes playfully.  “Is that why our iPad always has sheepadoodle Instagram profiles open whenever I get to it?”
“Maybe.”
Bee shook her head.  “We’ll talk about it after the holidays.”
Bee watched as Morgan finished stuffing the stockings, making his way over to the coffee table before sitting on the couch and chomping into one of the carrots.  She stayed silent as he chomped down on the others, finishing one so there were only two left that were mostly eaten.  He then moved on to the cookies, taking dramatic bites and making sure to leave crumbs in and around the plate and on the coffee table.  He ate most of them, leaving only remnants.
Bee couldn’t help the tears that welled up in her eyes as she watched him.  When he finally looked up at her, he noticed the tears automatically.  “What’s wrong?”
“You did that for me twelve years ago now,” Bee reminisced, her eyes welling up with tears even more.  Just saying how long it had been since he did that for her, one year into their relationship, was a lot for her to handle.  “Do you remember?”
“Of course I remember,” Morgan said, getting up from the couch and making his way over to her.  “I wanted to give you a normal Christmas.”
A lump in her throat formed at his words.  “You’ve given me everything I’ve ever needed,” she said, wrapping her arms around his shoulders.  He instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist, squeezing her against his body.  “Look how far we’ve come.”
“Look how far we’ve come together,” he added, kissing the tip of her nose.  “Look at how much we’ve accomplished, how much we’ve grown, how much we’ve done, how much we’ve built…” he said.  “We’ve come so far.  And there’s still so much to go, still so much to do.  Together.  Because I love you, Briony Rielly.  Forever.”
“I love you too,” she whispered, getting up on her tiptoes to kiss him passionately.  “I love you so much, Morgan Rielly.”  She couldn’t let go of him.  She couldn’t stop kissing him.  In her dream kitchen, on Christmas Eve, with her two children sleeping soundly upstairs, her two pets sleeping with them, she didn’t want the feeling to end.
To think of where she started to where she now was.

Imagine like Auston being a supportive boyfriend like whether it’s with a sport, job or school like he would be the absolute sweetest and like always be there no matter what
YES!!! TOTALLY!!!
If it would be school, he'd be so supportive no matter what, he'd make you food, bring you tea and coffee whenever they're needed, remember you to take breaks every once in a while
If it came to sports, he'd train with you all the time, go to every game/competition as he can and just be there for you emotionally and physically
And same thing goes for work! He'd be listening to you talking his ears off about some drama, helping to ease your nerves, being so supportive when you'd tell him about a raise of your salary or just getting a new position
Let's be soft for Aus!

Hospital Visit
Hospital for Sick Children- Toronto
“Doctor Mia, Doctor Mia!” Matthew a very excited eight year old little boy exclaimed from his bed as Dr. Mia Collins approached. Mia had to smile as she entered the room, this was the most lively Matthew had been since being readmitted last month. An all encompassing loss of hope and continual radiation therapy had all but snatched the typically energetic child from them and Mia had a pretty good idea what had placed him in such a good mood.
“Good morning Mattie, and just what has you in such a good mood today?” Mia smiled exchanging a knowing look with Matthew’s mother, followed by a quick wink to his older sister, Kelly.
“Doctor Mia you forgot! How could you forget!” Matthew sat up taller throwing his arms into the air with total elation. “The Toronto Maple Leafs are visiting today! I may get to meet Kappy! Or Mo! Maybe even Mitch!” The happiness on his face lead Mia to smirk.
“Huh. Guess I should have taken today off then.” The look of complete outrage on his face caused Mia to cluckle slightly under her breath while overlooking the nurse’s third shift note. She made eye contact with Kelly who was covering her mouth to contain her laughter. “Honestly the Leafs are terribbblllleeeee.” she exaggerated.
Looking up from the chart to Matthew, Mia bite her lip to contain her laughter. Hands on his hips, sitting up in bed Matthew’s face couldn’t be any redder than it was at this exact moment. ‘One, Two’... Mia counted down in her head. “DOCTOR MIA!!!” Matthew stuttered. How could you say that… the Leafs are the best in the world. Kappy’s amazing! Mo’s so cool! They just got Tyson Barrie this off season and he gels with them! Brian and I are going as Auston and Mitch for Halloween!”
Mia smiled at a nurse glancing into the room to see what the commotion was about before replying. “Kappy skates too fast for himself and can’t keep the puck with him. Morgan Riley needs to work on his neutral zone control, it was pitiful last game. Tyson Barrie wants to be back in Colorado so bad his play is suffering for it. And really… Matthews and Marner, they’re so forced, ugh. But most importantly my friend, Don’t Poke the Bear.”
“The BRUINS Dr. Mia! Ew! How can you like the Bruins?” Matthew through his head back to laughter from his family and Doctor Mia.”
“Excuse me sir how can you not? Bergeron is literal Jesus. They’ve got that good little weymouth boy, Charlie Coyle. The 4th line is steller, fight me about Sean Kuraly I dare you.” She says leaning forward. “Pasta’s got the best release in the game. And the little nuggets Krug and Marchy are the best. McAvoy and Gryzleck are beasts. They’re just superior to your Leafs in every way.” As Mia finishes, Matthew’s eyes grow wide. A glance behind her, let Mia know the Maple Leafs have arrived to visit with Matthew wide eyed in the doorway. Waving them into the room with a chuckle she welcomes Morgan Riley, Kasperi Kapanen, and Fredrick Anderson into the room. “I’ll leave you with your visitors.”
Matthew threw his arms out “Doctor Mia if you leave how can we turn you into a Leafs fan!”
“Trust me buddy it’s never gonna happen.” Waving as she leaves the room Doctor Mia proceeds on the next patient.
12 Hours Later
Mia sighed walking through the door, smiling at the sneakers casual kicked off to her right as hers joined them in similar fashion. The TV was illuminating the living room, her six foot one giant sleeping on the couch. She shuffled over to him, silently gliding across the hard wood floors. Even with her socks on she could feel the chill on her feet, the 12 hours of gathered heat finally leaving them. Leaning forward, she drops herself on her sleeping partner with a low “ufff”.
A quiet groan exited the lump already on the couch. Reaching up with practiced easy he began massaging the back of her neck around her hairline. “You’re the best.” Mia sighed.
“Well I’m not sure how much longer you’ll be thinking so. I was instructed to pass along a message that Mo and you need to talk.” he replied with humor lacing his voice.
Mia buries her head deeper into his chest “You all heard that…”
“Well you weren’t exactly quiet about it babe.” he laughed.
Grinning she rested her head on his chest looking up into blue eyes, “You really do skate too fast for yourself sometimes.” She was dislodged by the gawf Kappy released. Sitting up with a smile she rose to her feet, dropping a kiss on the side of his head and stepping in to the kitchen. Kappy followed behind grinning as the fridge light illuminated her in the quiet apartment.
“Freds just happy he escaped unscathed.”
Smirking with her head buried in the fridge out of sight, “Well I like Freddie.”
“I see how it is.” Kappy responded arms crossed on his chest. “Suppose Willy is safe too.” accompanied by a raised eyebrow.
Grabbing a water and closing the fridge, Mia wraps herself around Kappy. “Well he did bring us food yesterday.”
“True.” he responds wrapping his arms over hers and lifting so she’s on tip toes for a gentle kiss.
“Thank you for today. He needed that.” Mia whispered into his lips.
“Well the trainers say we should always do what the doctor says.” he chirps.
“I love you.”
“Love you too Doc, even if you are a Bruins fan.” he replies with a squeeze.

What’s it like for Mia during her first Christmas and her first Christmas party with the family and team? What happens if she gets scared of Santa and looks completely terrified? What if she tries to crawl away and hides from everyone? Are you able to write a little something on that?🥺
Ohhhhh my gosh yes ok here we go
Word Count: 1.7k
Not only was it Mia’s first Christmas, but it was also the Matthews family’s first Christmas in their new home.
At the beginning of September, all the paperwork was finalized and signed. By the end of the month, your family was finally able to move just before the hockey season got underway, which was very convenient. Although part would miss your downtown condo after spending so many years living there with Auston, a more significant part of you was looking forward to the new space you’d have to raise your little girl in.
The house was located in a quiet subdivision on the outskirts of the city and acted as a private oasis from the constant hustle and bustle of Toronto’s downtown core. There was so much more room too. It had five bedrooms, four bathrooms (not including your en-suite), a finished basement, a massive backyard for Frank to run around in, a large living and dining room, and a very modern kitchen. It was everything you could have ever asked for and more.
When you lived in the condo, you didn’t have much space to decorate for Christmas. But with the house, that all changed. You somehow convinced Auston to hang lights up outside, which you could never do before, and your living room became the new home of your giant Christmas tree and decorations you gathered. And to top it all off, you were finally able to host your own Christmas celebrations with loved ones and have the room to do so.
It was evident to Auston that this new change made you overly excited for the holidays that year, and he couldn’t blame you. He was excited too but was also very interested to see how it would all play out because the two of you had never experienced the Christmas season while having a little human to care for. He knew things were going to be different, but he was ready.
With being only 11 months old for her first Christmas, Mia didn’t understand the concept of it all, but you and Auston still made it one that at least the two of you would remember.
The days Auston was home in December, were spent together getting ready for the holiday. Whether that be wrapping gifts, shopping, doing things with Mia like taking her to the Christmas market at the Distillery District or even the odd Leafs practice just so she could watch her dad; there was lots of time spent as a family, and you loved it.
A significant holiday tradition you and Auston had, was attending the Leafs Christmas party together. It was something you looked forward to every year and were overly excited to have Mia take part in as well during her first Christmas.
The party took place on a Friday evening, and when the three of you arrived, it wasn’t long before Mia was literally snatched from your hold and taken off somewhere else. Steph took her first, offering to hold her as you and Auston hung up your coats, but when you turned back around to retake her, the pair was nowhere to be seen.
“Auston,” you spoke up while looking for any sign of your best friend and child. “Our daughter is missing.”
“Knowing Steph, that isn’t even surprising,” he responded and glanced around as well. “Where do you think they went off to?”
You looked to your husband and shrugged, but soon enough, a bunch of gasps sounded from the other room.
“There’s my favourite Matthews!” You heard Mitch exclaim, followed by a series of giggles that were most definitely from Mia, then looked back at Auston and smirked.
“Found her,” the two of you said in unison and shook your heads while laughing.
After taking a second to recollect yourselves, Auston then leaned down to peck your lips before standing up straight again and winking at you. “Let’s get this show on the road.”
It was brave to assume that once you and Auston entered the room, everyone else was in, your daughter would be handed back to you. No, she was quite the crowd-pleaser at these types of things, and as soon as she was around some of her people, it was next to impossible to separate them.
Mitch and Steph were at the top of that list of non-immediate family members that Mia had taken a strong liking to. They visited her the day she was born, and have been steady figures in her life since. They and quite a few other teammates loved your daughter. There was no need for you to worry about her when she was with these people, and the best part, Mia adored them all just as much.
About half an hour went by, and you had only seen Mia in passing. She seemed to be with a different person each time you saw her, and whenever you or Auston offered to take her, whoever she was with would politely decline and go back to having a full-on conversation with your daughter as she babbled in response.
It wasn’t until Santa arrived that Mia wanted anything to do with her parents again.
She sat with Steph and Mitch again, having a great time. You and Auston were nearby as you talked with John and Aryne, but that conversation was soon interrupted when sleigh bells started ringing and in walked Santa himself.
You smiled while watching Steph and Mitch fake gasp and pretend to be all excited for Mia’s entertainment, but you could also tell the way your daughter moved to hide her face against Steph’s shoulder that she was not impressed by this new and loud stranger.
“Think we should get her?” Auston asked, proving that he too noticed the sudden shift in Mia’s attitude.
“Probably,” you responded as Steph looked back and gave you a knowing look.
“Do you wanna go see your mom and dad?” She asked your little one while standing up so she can bring her over to where you and Auston stood. However, she didn’t make it too far before coming face to face with Santa.
“Now, who do we have here?” He asked and waved to Mia, who kept holding onto Steph for dear life while staring at the man in red with wide eyes.
“This is Amelia,” Steph answered and tried giving Mia a reassuring squeeze, but it still did nothing to ease your daughters’ nerves.
“Ah, Amelia Matthews, is your first Christmas?”
As Santa spoke, he inched a little closer to Mia, and it wasn’t long before her eyes started watering, and bottom lip started quivering as she leaned closer to Steph, clearly on the verge of a total breakdown if she wasn’t back with her sooner rather than later.
“Mama,” she cried out as soon as her eyes found you and started making grabby hands towards you and Auston. Steph acted quickly then, turning fast so that she could get Mia to you while making sure she didn’t have to look at Santa again.
Once Mia was in your hold, she snuggled right into the crook of your neck and sniffled while you gave her soothing back rubs. A couple of the guys on the team awed at how she instantly calmed down by being near you again, but you knew it’d still take a few minutes of her clinging to you before she felt better.
“Sorry, Santa,” Auston said before walking over to you, gently placing a hand on your waist as he went to stand behind you so that he could face Mia. “Hey, princess. Everything’s going to be alright.”
“It’s ok baby girl, Santa isn’t going to hurt you,” you told her softly, but it didn’t matter for she just cuddled close to you.
About 20 minutes later, Mia was much calmer. After her little breakdown, she didn’t want to be away from you or Auston again and was super cuddly as she stood with the two of you, watching Santa like a hawk from where he was across the room handing out gifts to the other kids.
When Mia’s name was called out for her to receive her gift, Mitch immediately offered to grab it for her so she wouldn’t have to be near Santa again. But instead, Auston took Mia over to get her gift, reassuring that nothing was going to happen in an attempt to get her associated with the man in red.
Once they reached Santa, he greeted her again. She didn’t cry that time, but stayed quiet and clung to Auston as he took the gift from Santa and started walking back to you.
The rest of the night went by fairly smoothly. Mia gradually wanted to be put down and slowly wobbled back towards Steph and Mitch again. But as soon as Santa was nearby, she’d immediately look for you and Auston to save her. It was entertaining to watch, minus the whole your daughter being scared part.
Eventually, it got to the point where Mia was almost too tired to function. When she was sleepy, she was clingy; even more so than she was during the whole Santa fiasco. So, when you finished up the conversation you were having with Willy and looked over to see her being held by Auston as he talked with Mitch, leaning against his shoulder and knuckling at her eyes, you knew it was probably time to get going.
“Hey, babe,” Auston greeted as you approached the three of them. “I think we’ve got a tired girl on our hands. Think we should get going?”
“Yeah,” you started and tilted your head to the side so that you’d be eye level with your daughter. “Wanna head out, sweetheart? We can go home and cuddle with Frank before getting you ready for bed.”
Mia’s eyes lit up slightly at the mention of Frank but remained quiet as she nodded slightly and cuddled closer to Auston.
“Guess that answers my question,” Auston stated and leaned down to place a soft peck on Mia’s head. As the three of you made your rounds to say goodbye to everyone, Mia would wave at to the people she recognized, but stayed clung to Auston; not that he complained though. You loved seeing just how much Mia adored these significant people in her life, especially her dad and couldn’t help but wonder how she’ll be at next year’s Christmas party and all the ones after that.

Double Date?
Tumblr media
Summary: Amelia meets Mitch and Steph
Word Count: 1949
Master List
Unedited
“Hey babe,” I heard Auston call from the kitchen. I was currently cuddled on the couch with Felix as I waited for Auston to bring me my soup.
“Yeah?” I called out turning to look towards the kitchen. He started walking over to me with two bowls in his hand.
“Mitch and Steph want to go on a double date,” he said once he handed me my bowl and took a seat on the couch. I raised my eyebrow at him before having some of my soup. I moaned in delight.
“Is this your mom’s recipe?” I asked him as I eagerly took another spoonful. He nodded his head with a grin while taking a spoonful of his own.
“It’s good! Do we want to get out of this date, or is this something we want to do?” I continued on after he didn’t speak up. He thought about it for a second.
“I want you to meet them,” he said nudging my arm. I smiled at him before taking another spoonful.
“Alright, so when is this double date?” I asked leaning back into the couch. Auston turned to me with a big grin before grabbing his phone.
“Does tomorrow after the game work?” he asked as he clicked through his messages. I nodded my head as I grabbed the remote to put on Love Island.
----
The next morning I was sitting at the kitchen island of my apartment watching my roommate Macy make us pancakes.
“You’re really going to meet Mitch Marner today,” she said as she flipped the pancake. I shrugged my shoulders as I clicked through my phone.
“It’s not that big of a deal he’s just Auston’s friend. I’m more nervous to meet his girlfriend,” I told her as I closed my phone playing with my fingers. She scoffed before moving the pancakes to a plate.
“You only say that because you’re a Blackhawks fan,” she said. I shrugged my shoulders knowing it was true.
“You should try to stay at Auston’s tonight because Ryan’s coming over tonight,” she continued as she handed me a plate. Grimacing I nodded my head. When Ryan came over it was best to be out of the house, I learned that the hard way.
“Will you help me decide what to wear?” I asked as I reached for the syrup. She nodded her head before the two of us dug into our food. When we finished I cleaned the dishes since she cooked and I made my way to my room to work on some things that were going to be due soon. Around 7 pm I got a text from Auston asking me about going to the bars with Mitch and Steph. I told him that I was still on board before making my way to Macys room to freak out.
“Calm down Amelia. Everything will be fine just wear something that makes you look hot,” she started pushing me to my room. I walked over to my closet before turning back to her with wide eyes.
“I have nothing,” I exclaimed dramatically as I fell onto my bed. She laughed before walking over to my closet. She pulled out a cute black top and some blue jeans before throwing them at me.
“Wear this. You always look hot in this outfit. It shows off you boobs” she said as she sat down on my bed. I scoffed before starting to change. Once I had everything on I picked up my phone to check the score. 3-4 going into the third. Auston had scored two goals. I was really hoping for a win so I wouldn’t have to deal with two sad hockey players at the bar. I looked up from my phone to check myself out in the mirror. I did indeed look hot.
“Yess! Look at you,” Macy exclaimed loudly. I looked over to her with a grin before we both made our way out to the living room. I turned the game on as she made herself a drink. We both watched the rest of the game in silence. The Leafs ended up pulling a last-minute win causing us to cheer before coming engrossed with our phones.
Hearing Auston’s voice on the TV I look up. He was talking in a pregame interview and he looked so amazing. He was so sweaty that even his hair was wet which was slightly gross. His natural beauty was shining so hard though that I couldn’t take my eyes away until the interview was over. A few minutes later my phone was vibrating. I quickly answered the phone before holding it up to my ear.
“Hello?” I asked into the phone.
“Why do you always sound so surprised when I call you?” I heard Auston’s voice through the phone. I blushed as I pulled my legs up to the couch.
“I don’t get many calls,” I said.
“Well get used to me calling. Anyway I am going to come pick you up. Does that work?” he asked fondly.
“Yeah I’m ready,” I said through a grin.
“Good be there soon,” he assured before hanging up.
I played on my phone for a bit before the doorbell went off. I quickly hopped up to get the door. When I opened it I was greeted by Auston dressed in a suit. Feeling a little undressed I turned around quickly to hide my embarrassment. He followed in behind as I reached down for my black heals. Auston noticed my cold greeting and waved to my roommate.
“Hey Macy,” he said.
“Hey,” she called back. As I reached for my keys. I turned back to Auston reaching for his arm. I needed his comfort.
“I’ll see you later Macy,” I said as I pushed us towards the door. The second I locked the door Auston had his hands on my waist.
“You look so good babe,” he said pressing a kiss to my forehead. I felt myself relax, he always knew what to say. I leaned up and kissed him gently before pulling away.
“Have you seen yourself in that suit?” I teased. He laughed before we pulled apart and made our way to his car.
----
“Amelia this is Steph and Mitch,” Auston said as he pointed to the two of them. Steph looked like an absolute goddess making me feel like I didn’t belong and Mitch looked like a total frat dude. I gulped as I gripped Auston’s hand a little tighter before giving the two of them a bright smile.
“It’s really nice to meet you,” I said as I went to reach my hand out to them. Steph pushed my hand to the side before pulling me into a hug.
“I have been so excited to meet you,” she squealed into my ear before pulling away, only for me to be pulled into a hug by Mitch next. Once he pulled away I turned to Auston with wide eyes. He laughed as he pulled me into his side.
“Let’s get a table,” he suggested. We all agreed and then were seated at a hightop. The server came over to take our order. Steph and Mitch ordered for themselves getting a burger each before she turned to us. Auston gestured for me to order first.
“Can I have the Cheeseburger with a glass of water,” I said closing my menu and handing it to her. Auston glanced at me with a raised eyebrow. What I mouthed at him. He looked away towards the server.
“The same as her but can we get two double shots of tequila,” he said as he closed his menu to hand to her. I gawked at him before turning back towards her. She wordlessly nodded her head before walking away.
I pinched Auston’s thigh before looking over to Steph and Mitch. I knew that Auston considered Mitch to be one of his best friends and I really just wanted the two of them to like me.
“You guys pulled off a nice win,” I said loudly for the table to hear once nobody made an effort to start talking. Immediately everyone at the table started smiling. We talked about the game until our food arrived and then Steph and I started a conversation of our own. Mostly about where we went to school and the careers that we were both in now. I truly wasn’t expecting to like Steph when I had looked her up on Instagram but now I was shocked by how much we had in common. We all ended up getting a few more rounds of drinks before calling it a night. As we left the bar Steph pulled me into a tight hug.
“We have to go to a game together,” she said excitedly as she pulled away from our hug. I smiled at her sweetly as I nodded my head.
“Yeah. Give me your number,” I pulled my phone out and gave it to her. She typed in her name and number before sending herself a text. She then handed her phone to me and grabbed Mitch’s awaiting hand.
“It was nice to meet you,” Mitch said as he pulled me into the best hug he could manage without letting Steph’s hand go.
“Yeah. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around again,” I giggled with Steph as we caught one another’s eye.
“I think my girlfriend is going to leave me for yours,” Auston joked as he wrapped his arms around me from behind. Everyone laughed at that before we went our separate ways to our cars. Once we were both buckled and driving Auston spoke up.
“Did you want to come back to mine?” I blushed before slouching down in the seat.
“Yeah. If you want me to,” I said. He reached his hand over to place it on my thigh.
“I always want you to come over,” he mumbled. I grinned before grabbing his hand off my thigh to hold.
When we pulled up to his apartment we took the elevator up before opening the door. Felix immediately attacked us as we entered. I reached down to pet the soft puppy.
“Hi baby. How have you been? You been a good boy?” I spoke with my best puppy voice. Felix barked happily and started to paw at Auston for his attention. He reached down and gave him a few cuddles before leading me towards the bedroom.
He handed me some comfier clothes before going into the bathroom to brush his teeth. I followed him and grabbed my toothbrush from the holder. Once we were both done brushing our teeth we walked over to the bed. Once we were cuddled up with my head on his chest and his arms around me I let out a content sigh. He made me so happy. I knew that at some point during the night I would end up as the little spoon because Auston couldn’t sleep without something between his legs but I didn’t mind.
“They liked you,” Auston whispered as he rested his head against mine. I tightened my arms around his waist.
“I liked them,” I told him softly. His hand that was on my back squeezed me to him.
“I love you,” Auston said gently. My whole body tensed up. Auston noticed and loosened his hold on me. We had met three months ago and had only been dating for one. I knew that I felt strongly about him but I was nowhere at that stage yet.
“I will someday,” I told him truthfully as I forced myself to relax back into his touch. He gripped me again and pressed a kiss to my forehead.
“Someday,” he said with a grin. I fell asleep that night with someday on my thoughts.

Mitchy and Auston #16???
brand new neighbours au
“Um, Mitchy, what are you doing?”
“What do you mean.” Mitch is, maybe, craning his neck around so he can see out the window to the doorway of the apartment building–specifically, the doorway where someone is currently exiting the building.
From the other side of the Facetime call, Dylan blinks at him. “You’re sitting really weird.”
“I am not.”
“Yeah you are.” Dylan, who knows him too well, raises his eyebrows. “What’s up?”
Mitch takes one more look out the window–no movement, even though it’s basically dusk–and leans forward. “It’s my new neighbor.”
“Oh?” Dylan doesn’t sound very interested. “Are they loud?”
“No, I haven’t heard anything.”
“Hot?”
“Yes, but that’s not the point?”
“Do they like, smoke a lot of weed?”
“No? Not that I can smell.”
Dylan shrugs. “Then I’ve got nothing, bro. What’s up with them?”
“My new neighbor,” Mitch announces, with the drama proper for the moment. “Is a vampire.”
For a second, Dylan stares at him. Then he starts to laugh.
“I’m serious!” Mitch whines. “I only see him at night–”
“Maybe because you work during the day?”
“And he seems really chill and cool and like, aloof–”
“Everyone is cool compared to you.”
“And he’s really hot–”
“Now we’re getting to it–”
“And he wears turtlenecks, Stromer. Turtlenecks.” Mitch throws up his hands. “And he looks good in them! He has to be a vampire.”
“I think you have to update your definition of ‘has to,’” Dylan counters. He’s definitely laughing at Mitch. But he doesn’t get it. A vampire didn’t move in next door to him. A vampire with like, ridiculous thighs and a kind of intense, brooding stare and an American accent that somehow manages not to sound irritating, but, like. Still a vampire.
“He is,” Mitch insists. “I’ll prove it.”
Dylan grins. “I can’t wait.”
This is what Mitch knows about his new neighbor: he is tall and built and wears clothes that Mitch is pretty sure are like, actually fashionable. He only ever appears at night. He’s American. He barely reacts if Mitch ever talks to him when they’re both getting their mail, though he’s never actively impolite. His last name is Matthews and his first name starts with A, going by the mailbox.
It all, Mitch decides, definitely lines up to vampire. But now he has to prove it, so he goes out and gets some garlic and Amazon Primes some holy water and a cross, because he’s watched Buffy he knows how this goes.
Then he goes across the hall and knocks.
It takes a couple minutes, but then the door opens, and the new neighbor is there. Fuck, he’s hot, Mitch realizes again. Oh well. He is a man with a plan.
“Hey,” he says, grinning before the other man can get a word in edgewise. “I live next door.”
“I know,” the other man says. It’s again not curt, but it’s not giving Mitch a lot back.
“Well, I wanted to see if you wanted to come over for dinner,” Mitch goes on, undaunted. “As a welcome to the building thing.”
“Oh.” The guy pauses, glances up and down at Mitch. “Yeah, um. That’s be cool.”
“Awesome.” Mitch grins, and waits. It takes a second, but,
“Oh, now?”
“I mean, it is dinner time,” Mitch points out. The guy looks at his watch. Mitch knows he usually leaves the building a few hours later than this, so he doesn’t have any excuses.
“Okay. Just, um. Give me a sec?” he asks, and Mitch nods a second before the door closes.
Mitch taps his toe against the floor. Maybe this is a bad idea, inviting a vampire over for dinner, but Mitch is armed and shit and the dude never seemed threatening. If he dies, Dylan will at least know that Mitch was right.
The door opens again only a few moments later, though, and the guy comes out. He’s wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, but his hair is neater than it was. Mitch has never seen him in clothes like this–casual. Like he could just be one of Mitch’s bros. It’s not a vampire look, for sure. Even if it’s still a good one.
“Okay, I’m ready, I guess,” he announces.
“Great. I’m just down here.” Mitch gestures to his door. “I’m Mitch, by the way, I don’t think we’ve ever said.”
“Auston.” Auston holds out a hand to shake, so Mitch does. It is big and warm and strong. Maybe he just fed, and that’s why it’s warm.
“So this is me,” Mitch announces, and opens the door. He very carefully doesn’t ask Auston in, and Auston pauses in the doorway, shifting on his feet, as Mitch goes in.
He waits a beat, two. Then it starts getting really awkward, so, “Come on in,” Mitch invites, and Auston’s shoulders relax and he steps in, looking around curiously. There’s not much to see–it’s probably about the same as Auston’s apartment, and Mitch isn’t exactly a home decorator. He has some pictures of his friends up, some art his mom picked out, but that’s about it. Auston’s apartment is probably really well decorated, with like, real art. That’s what vampires do.
“So come on in, make yourself at home. Do you want anything to drink?” Mitch asks, heading to the kitchen. He pulls out his phone as he goes, texts Dylan a quick, ddnt come inside until i asked him!
“Some water, if it’s okay.”
“I think I can find some.” Mitch tells Auston. Auston’s lips twitch a little, like he’s trying not to smile. It’s the kind of thing Mitch would usually take as a challenge, if he weren’t already in the middle of one. He grabs two glasses, gets some water from the sink.
While he’s doing that, Dylan texts back.
maybe he’s just polite.
Wait are you on a date with a vampire?
“So,” Mitch says, ignoring his useless best friend. “Where’d you move from? What brings you to the best city in the world?”
“Phoenix–Arizona,” Auston tells him. “That’s where i moved from. And is Toronto really the best city?”
“Fuck yes,” Mitch informs him, and then he gets distracted by listing off everything that’s great about the city to defend it, as Auston listens. He doesn’t look, like, annoyed at Mitch’s ramblings, which would make him the only person in the world.
Because he is a somewhat competent human being, Mitch at least manages to start cooking as he talks. He throws on some pasta, then very obviously brings out a clove of garlic to mince. Auston doesn’t react. Maybe he’s built up an immunity.
“Why are you here, anyway, if you don’t think it’s the best city?”
“I’m a fashion designer,” Auston says, his chin jutting out like he’s daring Mitch to say something bad about it.
“Oh, awesome. That’s why you always look so cool,” Mitch says instead, because he does.
That gets another one of his slow blinks. “Um, thanks. I mean, it’s still–I got an internship a few days a week, but mostly I’m doing my own sketches and working as a night guard, so not very glamorous.” Even that’s like a dare, like he’s throwing it out there and challenging Mitch to fight him over it.
Mitch would like to see the person who’s going to fight this guy. But it’s–well, he obviously cares a lot about it, if he’s that prickly.
“Dude, I feel you. I’m doing the internship circuit too, and like, I really should be living at home, but I just couldn’t any more, you know? Time to spread my wings and fly.” Mitch makes a little flapping motion, which gets him another one of those lip twitches.
“Yeah. I miss home, but it’s nice to be away,” Auston admits. “I super miss my mom’s cooking, though.”
“I go home for dinner like, four times a week,” Mitch admits, and that gets something that’s almost a real smile, but is also a little wistful. He’s like an entire country away from home–maybe centuries away from home, who knows. Mitch’s barely ever lived a town away. “I’ll bring you leftovers sometime, it’ll be sort of the same.”
“No it won’t. But thanks.” Auston looks down at his hands on those last words, but Mitch catches a hint of something soft on his face.
Anyway, dinner is ready, so Mitch dishes up the pasta with pesto–heavy on the garlic–and takes Auston’s cup to refill it. This time, he takes out the bottle of holy water he bought from the fridge, pours it in. Auston either doesn’t notice or doesn’t care, it’s kind of hard to tell.
“Eat up!” Mitch tells him, sitting down at the counter next to him. He watches intently. It’s true Auston hadn’t asked for blood or anything, but this is the real test.
Auston’s eyebrows go up a little as he takes a bite. “Wow, you’re a big fan of garlic, huh?”
“Oh, yeah,” Mitch says, even though honestly he kind of isn’t. He might have to make himself another dinner to make up for it. “Is that a problem?”
“No, I love it. Everyone here makes things too bland.” Auston takes another big bite. Then he takes a sip of water, and there are no flames, at all.
Maybe Buffy is wrong. Mitch might have to go watch Dracula, see if he can get anything else from that.
Mitch takes a bite of his own pasta. It really is garlicy.
They eat for silence in a little bit, but Mitch catches Auston glancing at him every once in a while. Mitch tries not to look delicious.
Auston finishes his whole plate, then he sits back. His face is blank again. “There’s something else,” he says, slowly. “That you should know.”
Holy fuck, is he just going to tell Mitch he’s a vampire? That’d be sick.
“Oh?” Mitch sits up and tries to come off as trustworthy.
“I’m gay.”
“Oh.” Mitch realizes a beat too late that he probably sounds disappointed, given how Auston’s already blank face somehow goes even blanker. “No, dude, that’s totally cool, I mean, me too, well, sort of–like, bi, but–yeah. No, it’s cool. Why so aggro, though?”
Auston’s face relaxes a little, and he jerks his head to the cross sitting on the counter. It doesn’t seem to bother him to be so close to it.
Except for how it obviously made Auston think he was some nutjob, which vampire or not, Mitch isn’t going to stand for. “Oh! Oh, no, that’s not–I mean, if you’re religious, fine, but like, I’m not really. I just got that, it was just a detection tool, to keep vampires away, you know?”
“Vampires?” Auston blinks again, then again. He looks at the plate, then at Mitch. “Were you trying to figure out if I was a vampire?” he asks, all incredulous drawl.
“You’re really suspicious!” Mitch protests, and Auston breaks out laughing–like really, honestly cracks up, almost falling off his stool laughing, all that cool, calmness broken. Mitch glares while he does, but he can’t keep that up for long until he starts laughing too, until they’re both just laughing like idiots in Mitch’s kitchen.
“I’m not,” Auston says at last, when he can speak again. His cheeks are flushed, and there’s a sparkle in his dark eyes. He looks the farthest thing from undead, now that his cool has been broken. “For the record, I am not a vampire.”
“That’s just what a vampire would say,” Mitch tells him, but he doesn’t stop smiling.
“Here.” Auston reaches over, picks up the cross. “Happy?”
“I mean, that I’m not going to get eaten, kind of.” Auston’s lips do that twitching thing again, like there’s a joke Mitch isn’t in on. “It would have been kind of sick to have a vampire friend, though.”
Auston swallows. “How about a human one?” He’s clearly trying to be cool again, but it’s not quite working.
“I guess that’ll do,” Mitch allows, and a smile breaks through Auston’s face, a little shy and pleased, and he looks away again like he doesn’t want Mitch to see it. Mitch wants him to let Mitch see that smile, and his laughter, and the shyness, and all the things he’s hiding underneath this veneer of cool he put on so well that it fooled Mitch.
Shit, Mitch thinks, looking away too. That’s so much scarier than a vampire.

I do love you Pt 9
So so so so sorry for the delay. I have had so much going on lately. Hopefully you guys like this chapter! Thank you all for the love and patience.
_________________________________________________
Ema had offered to take Parker for the night so Auston and I could go out and celebrate our engagement. I had said we would love to just say home with Parker but Auston had apparently already made plans.
“Babe, you almost ready?” He asked walking into our bathroom pulling on a shirt. I looked over to observe his outfit. He was wearing his usual black ripped jeans and a black long sleeved shirt.
“You look hot” he muttered, walking up behind me kissing my neck. His hands were resting on my waist. “You almost ready? We have to leave soon” He kissed my neck once more before walking out of the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and fixed my curls before walking out and grabbing my heels.
“I’m ready” I said walking down the hall and into the living room. Auston and Ema were standing in the kitchen and Brian was laying on the couch with Parker on his chest. I slipped into my heels and grabbed my purse. I looked back over to Parker and Brian on the couch and felt my heart swell. I was so happy Parker would have a good relationship with his grandparents.
“Well, you two can head out I think we’ll be okay” Ema said hugging Auston. “Have fun, I’m so happy for you two” she smiled. Auston and I walked down to the parking garage. When we got into his car I couldn’t take my eyes off of my ring. I was so happy with where I was right now. It was almost like I wasn’t going to have to fight for my son soon.
“What you thinking about, babe?”
“Just about how happy I am. How content I am with our family” I smiled.
We pulled up to the club and it looked like it was already pretty busy. I opened the door, and got out to almost me knocked off my feet by the flashes of paparazzi. Auston rushed over to my side to lead me through the crowd. As soon as we walked into the building I heard yelling over the music.
“MY BEST FRIENDS ARE GETTING MARRIED!” I looked ahead of me to see Mitch standing about 20 feet ahead of us lifting a bottle of champagne into the air. I laughed at him as Auston and I walked over to where Mitch and a few of his other teammates and their girlfriends were sitting. I looked around to see Morgan, Zach, Freddie, Tyler, Travis, Connor and Naz. I was whisked away by the girls and we started taking shots. I looked over to see Auston’s eyes on me. I sent him a smile, as Steph gave me another shot.

Marner_93: Gotta make a congrats’ post for my best friends. THEIR GETTIN MARRIED YALL. I guess @Hazy_Dawn is stuck with me forever.
A few drinks and many songs later I was sitting on a couch with Auston’s arms wrapped around me. I was watching Mitch and Connor take a shot when Steph ran over and pulled me and Auston up from our sitting position.
“We’re doing body shots!” she yelled as she pulled us towards a table where Mitch was waiting. It was like Mitch’s excitement was rubbing off on me. Steph and I took off our tops so we were just in our jeans and bras. We laid on the table as Mo poured the salt and alcohol he grabbed the slice of lime and handed it to us to put in between our lips. There was a countdown and then Auston and Mitch went for it. I felt Auston lick the salt and soon his lips were on mine taking the lime from my lips. Steph and I looked over at each other before giggling.
“Come, on babygirl” Auston said as he pulled me up and handed me my shirt. I was starting to get tired when Mitch ran up to me.
“Let’s go get food”
“Mitch, what time is it?” I asked rolling my eyes.
“A little after midnight, and I’m hungry” he whined. I looked around to see that some of the guys had left. The only ones that were left was Morgan, Mitch, Auston, Steph and I. Somehow we all made it outside the club and were standing on the sidewalk.
“Let’s go get food” Mitch muttered looking between us all.
“I’m heading out y’all have fun” Morgan said walking away, to an uber or taxi I’m assuming. A SUV pulled up before Mitch checked to make sure it was ours. Mitch had found some 24 hour diner we were went to. We ordered and ate some breakfast before going our separate ways.
“Mom and dad took Parker to their hotel room” Auston muttered laying his head on my shoulder. The uber driver sent me a smile in the rearview mirror before looking back at the road.
“We left your car at the club” I sighed resting my head on his.
“I’ll go get it tomorrow” He said closing his eyes.
When we made it into the apartment I threw my heels and purse to the side before walking up to our bedroom. When I made it to the bedroom I could hear Auston in the bathroom. I walked in and grabbed a makeup wipe and started taking off my makeup. Auston walked over to me putting his hands on my hips.
“I totally wanted to see you only in that ring tonight, but I’m exhausted” I laughed at him before looking up at him smiling.
“That’s perfectly fine, lets go to bed” I threw the wipe in the trash and headed into the bedroom. I took off my outfit and threw on one of Auston’s old t-shirts and a pair of pajama shorts and I crawled into bed beside Auston. He pulled me close but it wasn’t very long till I heard his breathing slow and he was asleep.
I woke up the next morning to someone banging on the door. I was confused on what someone would need. I shook Auston awake and started for the door. The banging continued. “Jesus I’m coming” I muttered finally making it to the door. I opened it to see a man standing in a suit.
“Are you Hazy?” the man asked looking down at me.
“Uh yeah, why?” I was confused on why there was a man at my door ar 8 am.
“You’ve been served” He handed me an envelope addressed to me and Auston. The man walked away before I could ask what it was for. I closed the door and walked to the counter. “Auston! Babe! You need to come here” I yelled for him He walked into the kitchen before walking over to me.
“What’s that?” He asked looking at the envelope.
“I don’t know. Some guy came to the door telling me I had been served” I muttered ripping open the envelope. I wasn’t even a whole sentence into the paper when I felt my heart drop.
Hazy Dawn and Auston Matthews,
Kasperi Kapanen has filed for custody of your shared child
PARKER MITCHELL MATTHEWS
This is your official request to the court hearing on
SEPTEMBER 30
You are welcome to bring your attorney and please have any proof that you are the superior parent ready by the date stated above.
Judge Baker
I knew there was tears falling from my eyes. I couldn’t believe that he was doing this. Auston took the paper out of my hands reading it for himself.
I slid down the fridge sitting on the floor. I pulled out my phone calling the one person I did not want to talk to.
“Hello?”
“Are you fucking kidding me Kappy” I cried.
“I didn’t know what to do, Hazy. You weren't going to let me see Parker” he muttered.
“We never even talked about it” I said feeling the anger bubble up inside. “Kappy just please cancel the court hearing I’ll let you see him.” My voice was shaky.
“How do I know you aren’t lying?”
“You can see him today. Let me get ready and we can meet for lunch” I sighed. When I said that Auston looked at me with wide eyes.
“Fine, just text me when you leave and where you want to meet” Kappy said.
“Okay” I hung up the phone wiping my eyes.
“What are you doing, Hazy?” Auston questioned me.
“Not risking Parker getting taken away” I said walking towards our room to get dressed.
“We would win” he said raising his voice.
“Auston! We don’t know that! When Parker is old enough to understand maybe we’ll tell him. But right now I don’t want to risk anything” I said throwing my hair into a messy bun. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a hoodie. “I’m going to pick up Parker. I’ll be home later” I said walking into the kitchen grabbing my purse and slipping on a pair of my vans.
I pulled up to the restaurant already seeing Kappy inside at a table. I got Parkers car seat out of the car carrying him in. I sat the car seat down taking a seat across from Kappy.
“Hi, Kasperi”
“Hi”
“So we need to talk terms.” I said pulling out a notepad and a pen. “So he’s still too little for you to have overnight and for too long at all. You won’t have him by yourself till you can prove to me that you can handle it. AND absolutely no fighting with Auston” I said. I wrote down the terms and handed it to Kappy.
“Well what if he starts the fight?”
“Walk away. You’re both adults. Be the bigger person” I ordered. The waitress walked over taking our food and drink orders.
“Can I hold him?” Kappy asked. I took Parker out of his car seat wrapping him in his blanket handing him to Kappy.
“Support his neck”
“I know how to hold a baby, Hazy”
We had finished lunch and decided when Kappy would get to see Parker again. I tried to end it on good terms but I was still angry that he wanted to take me to court. I put Parker back in the car. Getting into the car myself.
I had just pulled into the parking garage when I got an instagram notification. I opened it up to see Kappy had tagged me in a photo. I rolled my eyes not even looking till I got into the apartment. I walked to see Auston was gone. I set Parker’s car seat on the ground and went and looked at Kappy’s post.

“What a fucking idiot” I muttered as I saw a note on the counter. I walked closer to see it was addressed to me.
Hazy,
I’m not exactly sure why you’re letting Kappy see Parker. I don’t think I could be at home without starting a fight with you. Please understand that I left so we wouldn’t fight. I love you and baby P so so much. If I’m not back by tomorrow I’ll text you.
Love, Auston.
