Les vacances d’hiver ont toujours été synonyme de sport et plus particulièrement pour ceux qui avaient la chance de partir au ski. De temps en temps, et en fonction des années, je fais parti de ces chanceux mais mon côté Geek reprend souvent le dessus. En effet, il y a quelques années déjà, quand je dévalais les pistes telle une tortue à l’envers (comprenez sur le dos le plus souvent), je m’étais toujours demandé pourquoi je n’avais rien pour traquer ce que je faisais comme les pistes que je descendais, mon itinéraire, ma vitesse, etc. En fait, il y avait bien quelques applications mais elles n’étaient pas forcément optimisées pour le ski et, comme souvent avec les activités sportives, quand on est seul dans l’application bah ce n’est pas si génial en fait. Je me disais que c’était bien dommage de ne pas avoir une application plus fédératrice pour tous les skieurs et snowboardeurs autour de moi. Mais du coup, pour l’éditeur de l’application, il aurait fallu déployer une communication couteuse et sans commune mesure pour convaincre tous les utilisateurs en station. Ce sont les domaines skiables qui ont dû s’y coller Et ce que je n’avais pas vu, c’était qu’il fallait regarder le problème à l’envers, ce n’était pas une application qui recenseraient tous les domaines skiables au monde parce qu’en fait, il n’y a rien de fun de se comparer avec des personnes qui ne sont pas sur le même domaine skiable. Ce sont finalement les stations qui l’ont compris en proposant une application par domaine skiable, ce qui simplifie grandement les services, les plans mais aussi aussi tout le côté social puisque ça a l’avantage de cibler les clients d’un même domaine. C’est le cas de Yuge, l’application du domaine skiable ParadiSki, regroupant les stations de La Plagne, Peysey-Vallandry et Les Arcs. Il y a quelques semaines déjà, j’étais à La Plagne, Peysey-Vallandry et Les Arcs qui font partie du domaine skiable ParadiSki (425km de pistes) pour tester l’application qui était en Beta depuis l’année dernière et qui est maintenant presque finale. Comprenez que c’est la version finale et qu’il y aura toujours des mises à jours pour corriger des bugs et y ajouter de nouvelles fonctions. Pour faire simple, Yuge, c’est une application qui intègre les plans des pistes, les bons plans de la station, les numéros d’urgence (toujours pratique de les avoir à portée de smartphone) mais qui vous permettra aussi de lier votre compte Yuge à vos forfaits (je vous expliquerai plus loin l’avantage de le faire), d’y ajouter des amis, de traquer les pistes que vous avez faites dans la journée, de connaître vos statistiques sur pistes comme votre vitesse max par exemple, etc. Yuge (iOS et Android) Parce que vous allez y ajouter des amis, ParadiSki a eu la bonne idée d’y intégrer différents ingrédients de gamification avec par exemple des badges à débloquer en fonction de ses performances et de son parcours. Alors oui, c’est tout bête et très classique dans l’absolu mais entre nous, ça marche toujours ! Dès la première journée, on va avoir tendance non seulement à se comparer à ses amis mais aussi au reste des utilisateurs de Yuge puisque vous avez accès à un classement global qui vous donnera votre position sur la journée, la semaine ou même sur la saison ! Très honnêtement, ne vous comparez pas trop aux locaux, ils sont bien plus forts et rapides ! J’ai pu rencontrer le n°1 actuel de la saison, c’était un vieux monsieur d’une soixantaine d’année qui skie 4h par jours depuis l’ouverture des stations ! Impossible de rivaliser en tant que parisien 😛 L’application est bien faite et une fois lancée avec toutes les autorisations nécessaires activées, Yuge se chargera du reste. Le hic tout de même, c’est que ça va utiliser le GPS de votre smartphone et comme vous le savez, ça consomme pas mal. Si j’avais mon Mate 9 avec sa grosse batterie pour gérer facilement une journée entière, les personnes avec un plus petit smartphone devrait penser à avoir une batterie externe sous peine de ne plus avoir de smartphone fonctionnel en rentrant des pistes. Pour ceux qui penseraient pouvoir tricher, les serveurs et l’applications ne fonctionneront vraiment qu’à l’ouverture et à la fermeture des pistes, mais aussi sur les pistes uniquement. Impossible donc, par exemple, de prendre sa voiture pour aller faire un peu de route et tricher. Un Guide Aussi Mais les vacances au ski, ce n’est pas que les descentes de pistes. C’est tout bête mais c’est génial et surtout, ce n’est pas comme dans les parcs d’attractions, c’est intégré dans le forfait. Dans tous les cas, c’est bien de voir ParadiSki travailler dans le bon sens pour adapter le domaine skiable à nos usages en 2017. Vous avez même des hotspots WiFi (il y en a déjà 60) placés à différents points stratégiques des stations. L’application (gratuite) est assez complète pour que les utilisateurs sur place aient envie de l’essayer et de l’utiliser au moins le temps du séjour. Sinon Au niveau des doléances, on aurait aimé que ParadiSki développe un peu plus le côté communautaire. Si on peut voir ce que ses amis ont fait, leur position ou leurs photos, j’aurais bien aimé pouvoir chatter avec mes amis, ce qui n’est pas possible encore. De même, il faut que ParadiSki développe aussi la partie sportive/santé, si c’est bien d’avoir la vitesse, la distance parcourue et autres, on aurait aimé une conversion en calories par exemple pour voir comment on s’est dépensé sur la journée, un peu comme dans les applications de tracking d’activités. D’ailleurs, une intégration avec Apple Health ou Google Fit serait un plus non négligeable pour les prochaines versions. Dans les éléments liés à la gamification, j’aurais aimé sans doute des petites anecdotes plus fun autour des performances, genre, on a fait aujourd’hui un Paris-Melun (Oui, je vais souvent à Melun, et alors ? 😛 ), ou autres.
