Part 2 of Wheel randomised Tos2 pairs. This has been fun, I got to try some things a little out of my comfort and you can probably tell which roles i have no idea what I'm doing with. It's been very fun to try and come up with lil dynamics and thoughts of how different pairs would interact. The combos for this one are Exe/Veteran, Dreamweaver/Cleric, Baker/Admirer, Lookout/Hex Master, Bodyguard/Beserker

Doing a little drawing challenge for myself where I draw all of the tos2 roles during june, about 1-2 each day. Starting off with Jester and Executioner!

I'm probably gonna keep most of these fairly simple except for a few roles

town of salem stories occupy this weird superposition where they're funny/interesting for completely different reasons depending on if you've played the game yourself or are just listening to someone describe it for the first time and wondering what the fuck they're talking about. off the top of my head, in the last few days, i had games where:

a guy kept claiming Coroner and posting logs that were provably wrong, so the Deputy shot him without trial during the day. except he was actually the Mayor (also a Town role) and just lying about being a different Town role for literally no reason. and then because the Deputy killed an ally he instantly died as per his ability and Town ended up losing the entire game as the Mayor argued with the Deputy in dead chat about how lying about your role as Mayor is actually the new meta and he was stupid for not going along with it. death threats were exchanged

i was Coven Leader and had my Enchanter underling alterate the body/will of the guy who disconnected from the game on day 1 to make him look like someone else. he was actually the Sheriff, but to the good guys, he showed up as a Cleric. and then there were two ACTUAL Clerics in the game. so Town was down a Sheriff without knowing it and both Cleric claims were suspect despite being correct. Town hanged one of the Clerics the next day, saw he was good, assumed the second Cleric was lying, hanged him the next day, saw HE was ALSO good, assumed the guy who originally pushed them up was bad, etc etc. by the time anyone realized what was going on i had already manipulated my way into being above questioning and railroaded the Serial Killer (the only threat to me at that point) up on the stand to get rid of him. both of my Coven underlings died or disconnected by night 3 and i still managed to win the game for us solely off the back of that night 1 Alteration fucking up literally everything

as Serial Killer, i attacked the Coven Leader night 1, which i knew because my attack bounced off of his defense. after getting a kill two nights in a row, the third night's attack will be a Powerful Rampaging one, overcoming most defenses AND killing everyone who visits your target that night. i bided my time, killing someone nights 2 and 3. then on day 4 i started steering the conversation towards suspecting the guy i attacked night 1. that night, as everyone used their abilities on him, i attacked him. this killed him and three other Townies who tried to visit him that night. day 5 starts with me, the one remaining Coven, the one remaining Townie, and the Executioner. i figure out who the Executioner's target is and accuse them of being the serial killer, and the Executioner obviously backs me up. we vote up his target (the last townie) and execute her. as soon as her body stops twitching, the Executioner claims his victory by stabbing the one other guy (the Coven member) and running off into the woods, leaving me the victor after removing literally 7 people singlehandedly in one day

day 2. someone asks a guy what his role is. instead of saying anything, he reveals himself as Mayor. within literally two seconds, the Conjurer summons a meteorite over his head and instantly vaporizes him. the rest of the day continues like nothing happened

Hey! Are you a Bloxston Mystery player looking to get into Town of Salem? Here are some tips, since the games do differ a lot!

Claim Jailor day one for protection. If bg and doc are on you, you WILL be protected. If you don’t claim, you leave yourself vulnerable

Executioner can only target townies (not counting jailor or mayor), so you are better off not claiming that role or else town might see you as a threat

By the way, executive is called mayor in this game. Same exact role otherwise

There’s no real difference between visiting someone and being at home. By that I mean if you get targeted by, say, mafioso, even if you’re doctor on jailor, the mafioso will still shoot you.

Medium can see everyone’s names.

After medium dies, they can seance living players to give information

Executioner and jester are called neutral evil rather than neutral benign

Witch is a neutral evil role

Jester and Executioner don’t appear suspicious

Executioner becomes jester if target dies at night/leaves, and they can’t win if they die

Distractor is called escort here, and there is a mafia equivalent called consort

There are lots of roles in ToS that don’t exist in Bloxston Mystery, such as transporter or disguiser. If you ever get confused, either ask someone about the role or look it up on the wiki

Vigilante can only use gun three times

Retributionist can use ability as many times as they want, but you can only revive a corpse once

Sometimes consigliere is inaccurate. Like it’ll say “your target takes people and transports them to a different location. Must be a jailor!” But then your target ends up being transporter.

There’s a filter that changes swears into silly things, like fuck is tarnation. You can change this in the chat settings (might be obvious to some but i did not know this straight up)

This is all off the top of my head so if you have any further questions feel free to ask! I’m no expert whatsoever but a few of these things confused me when I started playing and I’d hate for anyone else to feel confused as well :)

Can I just say that I love love love the Jester? He's such a cute and silly little guy. So, I decided to draw him (and the Executioner. Because they're both basically two sides of the same coin).

Also, I think Jest and Exe should smooch <3

i love how traitors in salem roles like jester, executioner, disguiser, saint, veteran, and medium should make townies more careful who they vote and traitors more careful who they kill. and they very much do not do that at all whatsoever because this is the town of salem community making up your playerbase

Cookies of Salem AU Pt.3: The Neutral

Good evening, Townie Cookies. This is Sheriff Almond Cookie, reporting.

Despite the alarming appearance of the tag-team group of Mafia Cookies that have overrun our beloved Town, they are not the only threat to our safety.

It has come to my attention that there are individual Neutral parties scattered amongst ourselves, aiming at spreading their own forms of destruction and fear.

However, there are other, more benign Neutral Cookies out there that have pledged their allegiance to protect and serve Salem until the day we crumble, so we will pray to the Witches that they hold true to their promise.

Attached are a list of identities that I recommend you look over and memorize. For if you see any of them around, either approach with caution... or not at all.

Cookies of Neutrality

Amnesiac: Sugar Glass Cookie

-Despite having cared for the memories of others, the resident Labyrinth greenhouse keeper cannot recall her own.

In fact, she is not sure of her purpose here in Salem after being whisked away from her duties, so now she must lie in wait for an answer that will hopefully light the way for her and help her remember...

And the answer might be in blood...

Guardian Angel: Herb Cookie

-Being the bright ray of sunshine that this botanist is, he can't help but spread that light to the sole Cookie that the Witches have tasked him in watching over and protecting.

However, he has no prior background on his target, so if they either want peace or war, he must heed to his duties...

Till death do them part, and he can resume his duties from above...

Survivor: Rambutan Cookie

-Having plenty of experience from the onslaught of monsters that Lychee Dragon Cookie wrought upon her village, this warrior's sole purpose is to survive and thrive!

She may not have her tribe to back her up, but that doesn't mean this chieftain can't run things solo!

Just as long as she doesn't see that little Mangosteen Cookie again, or worse, the Violet Dragon...

Pirate: Captain Caviar Cookie

-Fresh off a recent voyage from the Duskgloom Sea, this boat captain is still itching for an adventure!

Which is why he lugs along some of his gear to challenge his target to a duel with! The rush of adrenaline is almost as intense as when he locked eyes with Black Pearl for the first time!

What does the winner of the duel get, you might wonder? To live another day...

Plaguebearer/Pestilence: Ananas Dragon Cookie

-The Yellow Dragon? Getting sick? Pssh, never!

His own version of spreading the plague, instead of letting a virus loose, is via sneaking little, golden orbs of light into Cookies' homes during the day, so when they return at night, they will be bathed in the light and feel a warmth in their chests, luring everyone into a false sense of security.

Only when every living Cookie is 'infected' by this semi-blinding light, only then will Ananas be allowed to achieve his true, draconic form in order to raze the Town with gargantuan boulders and earth-shattering tremors.

Like he had done in days of old, when Dragons were in control...

Vampire: Vampire Cookie

-Being the sole member of the undead in Salem, this night-dweller wishes for companionship, both from those he converses with during the day...

And those he converts at night...

This new and improved Vampire ditches the wine glasses full of juice for legitimate blood nowadays, converting Townies he wishes to befriend for his cause.

If he or one of his lackeys lands a bite on a baddie from the Mafia, Coven or elsewhere, they perish on the spot. They need pure-blooded individuals to join the ranks of the vampires, and those already tainted by evil may attempt to overthrow the bloodsuckers, so they make sure to get extra close to a critical artery in their case...

Executioner: Peperoncino Cookie

-With his Greatpepper Blade being revered as a symbol of justice ever since he arrived in Salem, this Cookie is filled with more than spice nowadays.

Spice... and rage...

SO much fiery rage that he can't express it on his face; it is instead displayed through his raging determination towards one Cookie and one Cookie only, even going so far as to lie about their whereabouts and twist their evidence against them into hopefully getting them executed...

And himself labeled a hero, even though he couldn't save everybody...

Jester: Chess Choco Cookie

-As well as being strategic in a good ol' game of chess, these twin Pawns also have a reputation to be little tricksters.

So much so that their desired strategy to win involves them acting as suspicious as they can collectively muster in order to be executed, then haunt a chosen target together to bring them along for the fun in the afterlife...

Trust me, you do not want to play chess with these two for the rest of eternity, it'll get boring real quick for those not a fan of the game...

Fortunately, it's the twins' specialty, so they don't mind playing their favorite game forever!

And winning... forever...

Witch: Crowberry Cookie

-Preferring to conduct her business alone rather than with the Coven, this bedazzled Witch also loves to screw around with her collective brothers and sisters, taking pride in snatching up shining potion bottles, polished skulls and glimmering poison barbs to add to her personal collection.

Crowberry also has a knack for persuasion like many members of the Mafia, with the ability to make her targets go after someone else of her choosing, all the while gaining knowledge of their roles in the process.

As long as the Town doesn't come up on top, this wicked witch can get along with anyone! She might even give them a tour of her treasure trove if she's feeling generous enough!

Arsonist: Pitaya Dragon Cookie

-What better way to represent the Flaming Dragon's Valley than to bring part of home to the Town? Good question, the Red Dragon would answer! And how would he do that, exactly?

Why, raining fire and brimstone onto those he deems unworthy of his time!

He starts off subtle, pretending he's lending Herb an unintentional hand by watering the grass around everyone's homes... with gasoline.

Then, he pulls the trigger with a hiss of laughter and sends embers from his wings to ignite the frail plant life and create a raging inferno, hoping to swallow the Town up in all its glory!

"Ahh, jusssst like home!" He remarks to himself with a rumbling chuckle.

Juggernaut: Purple Yam Cookie

-On par with the Dragons in terms of strength and want for chaos, this over-baked Cookie cannot sit still while waiting for the moon to shine.

Because once it does, so do his eyes, irises practically like rings of fire as he swings his yam mace around with unbridled rage. And with each victim he crumbles, his power grows, to the point where he doesn't have to wait every other night to conserve his energy.

It's a constant fountain of it, with him having to keep his composure during the day so as to not let his want for destruction take over and allow him to raze the entire Town. He has to talk himself down from committing such a heinous act.

"I just want to FIGHT! Let me AT 'EM!"

Serial Killer: Lemon Cookie

-He may not seem like much, with his introverted demeanor and preferring to play with his cube or listen to music than actual conversation during the day.

But when night falls, you can almost feel the air crackle slightly and the hairs on the back of your neck begin to stand on end...

While a pair of electric yellow eyes peer over your shoulder, a dagger raised to be embedded into your shoulder...

Werewolf: Werewolf Cookie

-The definition of a recluse, this disgruntled Cookie dreads even-numbered nights most of all, for when those roll around...

The beast decides to rear its ugly head...

Then, the moon remains forever full after only two moons over the course of four days, making each night a living hell for poor Werewolf, anticipating who his claws might fell the next few evenings.

He can't help it! He tries to contain himself, but it just never works...

He doesn't want to hurt anybody, not by choice at least...

Especially those who don't treat him like an outsider; he's most afraid of crumbling them most of all...

psa to people planning on traveling to salem, ma this summer/fall for ~spooky~ tourism:

• the salem witch trials were about a bunch of innocents who were murdered due to hysteria in the 1600s, not “the witches you weren’t able to burn 🔮💋💀✨🧙”

•most of the people killed in the witch trials were actually hanged, not burned at the stake. (except giles corey, who was crushed by giant stones. he also trolled the executioners by basically telling them ‘is that all you got? throw another stone on me and MAYBE i’ll die. ((he did in fact die)))

•the Bewitched statue on washington st has absolutely NOTHING to do with salem. it’s literally only there because it depicts a witch. it’s just a way to further profit off the murders of people who were just tryna live. (someone threw red paint on it earlier this year and i for one think that was very sexy of whoever did it.)

•please be respectful to local businesses/residents. if you’re willing to learn about the actual crafts and practices of local witches, great! i absolutely encourage this 100%. but please remember to be respectful.

•if you wanna go souvenir crazy there is a tourist shop on every corner, go buckwild.

•please for the love of god dont ask restaurant workers what their “year round REAL job” is. you’re lookin’ at it. some of us dont leave just because all of you do. our lives are here, dont be a dick.

•watch Paranorman. seriously, do it. i’m pretty sure it’s based on salem and it perfectly captures the aura in the sense that the town in the movie exploits a very public murder of an innocent person (who was accused of being a witch) as a cash grab. thought i was signing up for a fun kids ghost movie and got slapped in the face with a very important reminder of what happened historically. (it also is a fun kids ghost movie tho)

that’s all i got right now but i just needed to write this out because while salem should be a fun place with a rich history, it’s easy to forget just how much blood was spilled in order for it to be deemed “Witch City.”
