Triller Partners With Rising NASCAR star Toni Breidinger
Tumblr media
Triller, the globally popular AI-powered social media experience, today announced its entry into NASCAR with a partnership with driver Toni Breidinger, the 22-year-old rookie driver who has made history as the first Arab-American female driver in the circuit’s history. The partnership will begin this Saturday with the ARCA Menards Series race at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana. Breidinger will be driving the #25 Triller Toyota Camry after recently switching to Venturini Motorsports, a Toyota Racing Development team, for the remainder of the 2021 season. Breidinger, who already has one of the largest social followings for any NASCAR driver, will fully document her racing experience on Triller and will have her car wrapped with Triller signage this weekend. She is the all-time winningest female in United States Auto Club (USAC) history with 19 wins, a record that helped her move into NASCAR’s ARCA Menards series this year.
“Toni Breidinger is the perfect fit for our entry into NASCAR and all forms of racing for Triller,” said Bobby Sarnevesht, Chairman and Co-Owner of Triller. “She is a disruptive, smart, highly competitive, socially conscious and engaged athlete who our millions of followers are just starting to learn about. We look forward to helping to elevate her story and her platform and to connecting her with the stars who are already deeply involved in Triller, as well as giving our followers a first look into NASCAR and helping to grow the sport with a younger and very engaged and loyal audience.”
“As a young athlete who has diverse interests and wants to have young people get excited about the sport I love, racing, Triller is the perfect place for me,” Breidinger said. “The mix of engaged socially conscious young people from around the world is the audience I want to connect with, and I think as we grow together all will learn, have fun and experience new events together. I am thankful for this partnership with Triller and for them to believe in female athletes and especially in motorsports.”
In February, Breidinger made history as NASCAR’s first Arab-American female driver, when she raced in the ARCA Menards Series at the Daytona International Speedway, finishing in 18th place out of 33 — ahead of the two other women who competed, and earning her an appearance on “Ellen.” She is one of 10 females competing across NASCAR races this season.
The partnership will begin with the ARCA Menards Race at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana, and will continue for all five of her races this season: August 22 at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield Illinois; September 5 at the DuQuoin State Fair in DuQuoin, Illinois; October 23rd at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS; and November 6th at Phoenix Speedway in Phoenix, AZ. Toni currently races in the ARCA Menards Series, a feeder division into the Nascar Touring Series. In 2021, Toni placed 18th at Daytona, 12th at Talladega, 12th at Kansas, and 20th at Charlotte.
This is the latest part of a progressive strategy that Triller is going to extend into sports. In addition to the highly successful Triller Fight Club series, which continues with the first of a long series of Tuesday night fights at Madison Square Garden and will also feature the September 11 matchup between Oscar de La Hoya and Vitor Belfort at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Triller is an exclusive broadcast partner of the BIG3, the official creator of the new global sport, FIREBALL3, and purchased premium entertainment and sports channel FITE earlier in the year. The platform continues to also engage in large scale promotions marrying sports and entertainment, including hosting the cast of Space Jam 2 at Triller House in LA prior to the premiere of the film starring LeBron James, Don Cheadle and other NBA and WNBA stars.
Triller will have additional announcements about new partnerships in all areas of global sport in the coming weeks.

Tumblr media

DISNEY / PIXAR\'S \"CARS 3\" GEARS UP FOR A SEASON-LONG RIDE WITH NASCAR
Tumblr media
Disney•Pixar’s “Cars 3” is teaming up with NASCAR this year as crowd favorite Lightning McQueen prepares to return to the big screen June 16, 2017. Plans for the joint effort were shared by “Cars 3” director Brian Fee, Cristela Alonzo—the voice of the film’s elite trainer Cruz Ramirez—and NASCAR’S vice president of entertainment marketing & content development Zane Stoddard today at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida as fans gear up for the DAYTONA 500 (live Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. ET on FOX). Owen Wilson, the voice of Lightning McQueen, will serve as grand marshal for the 59th annual “Great American Race.”
Tumblr media
NASCAR drivers Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Daniel Suárez and Bubba Wallace will join NASCAR legends Jeff Gordon and Richard Petty as voices in the upcoming film. “‘Cars 3’ very much pays homage to stock car racing and its rich history,” said Fee. “Our story leans into the drama, emotion and excitement NASCAR fans find at every race.” “We’re excited to take part in delivering the ‘Cars 3’ experience to our current and next generation of fans, at-track, in school, online and across the country,” added Stoddard. “In addition to all the engaging NASCAR ‘Cars 3’ elements industry-wide, we think our fans will really enjoy the roles of several young drivers in the film.” According to Lylle Breier, senior vice president, worldwide marketing partnerships and special events for the Walt Disney Studios, the movie inspired an expanded program with NASCAR. “This collaboration marks the biggest between the ‘Cars’ franchise and NASCAR,” said Breier. “We’re looking forward to a fun and exciting season-long program with a host of activities.”
Tumblr media
FAST FORWARD Kicking off at the DAYTONA 500 with the premiere of a new on-air promo, the NASCAR-“Cars 3” collaboration continues throughout the entire race season. The joint effort will include a variety of marketing initiatives, including digital and social cross promotional activities and sweepstakes. Throughout the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, races will feature a “Cars 3” at-track presence via a wide array of promotions. A co-branded merchandise program with Fanatics—the first of its kind for NASCAR and the “Cars” franchise—will also kick off at the DAYTONA 500 featuring the first film-related product available for fans to purchase. Product will be available at the Fanatics Trackside Superstore continuing at race tracks throughout the season, as well as online at the NASCAR.com Superstore. NASCAR Acceleration Nation, the sport’s youth program, and the NASCAR Hall of Fame will be featured throughout the full duration of a “Cars 3” nationwide tour. Later this year, NASCAR and Disney will release NASCAR Acceleration Nation and "Cars 3" co-branded in-classroom learning materials for elementary school students THE VOICES OF NASCAR The announcement included the introduction of NASCAR greats—from rookie drivers and legends to the voices behind the sport—tapped by Pixar Animation Studios to voice characters in the film. CHASE ELLIOTT, 21, was named 2016’s Sunoco Rookie of the Year after finishing last season tenth in the driver standings. Elliott, who pilots the No. 24 car previously driven by four-time champion Jeff Gordon, lends his voice to second-generation Piston Cup racer CHASE RACELOTT in “Cars 3.” Racelott’s blend of skills, track smarts and top-of-the-line technology make this rookie a real contender. RYAN BLANEY, a 23-year-old, third-generation racer, pilots the No. 21 Ford in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup series. He voices third-generation racer RYAN “INSIDE” LANEY in “Cars 3.” Known for his racing passion and ability to have fun on the track, Laney races with talent, speed and precision. DANIEL SUÁREZ, who just turned 25, pilots the No. 19 ARRIS Toyota Camry in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. The 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion can be heard in the film voicing DANNY SWERVEZ, a next-gen racer who’s ascending the Piston-Cup ladder against all odds. A mid-season replacement, Swervez is a quick learner who pushes himself to the limit. BUBBA WALLACE, 23, won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway in 2013, becoming the first African American to win in one of the top three touring divisions since Wendell Scott in 1963. In “Cars 3,” Wallace voices next-gen stock car racer BUBBA WHEELHOUSE, a fast and tenacious young racer who knows how to win.  DARRELL WALTRIP, the NASCAR Hall of Fame racer-turned-NASCAR on FOX color analyst lends his voice to DARRELL CARTRIP. Cartrip, a veteran Piston-Cup announcer also heard in “Cars” and “Cars 2,” may think he’s seen it all—but this new season might still have a surprise or two in store. SHANNON SPAKE, NASCAR on FOX correspondent and college football and basketball reporter for FOX Sports, voices on-the-track reporter SHANNON SPOKES in the film. Spokes weaves her way into the middle of the action for in-the-moment interviews, and she’s not afraid to ask racers the tough questions. HOWARD AUGUSTINE “HUMPY” WHEELER JR., the legendary NASCAR promoter and former president and GM of Charlotte Motor Speedway, lends his voice to iconic Dinoco team owner TEX DINOCO in “Cars 3.” Tex, who met Lightning McQueen in “Cars,” would love nothing more than to see #95 decked out in Dinoco blue. JEFF GORDON, four-time NASCAR champion, current NASCAR on FOX analyst, and story consultant for “Cars 3,” lends his voice to JEFF GORVETTE. Gorvette, whose number of top-ten finishes remains unmatched, may have hung up his racing tires—but his heart remains on the track. His ability to succeed at all levels turned hoods wherever he raced. RICHARD “THE KING" PETTY, team owner and champion NASCAR driver with 200 wins, returns to the role of STRIP “THE KING” WEATHERS. From his humble beginnings on the Piston-Cup circuit to the glitzy sponsorship and media attention, the champion racer now serves as crew chief for his nephew, Cal Weathers. KYLE PETTY, retired NASCAR driver and current NASCAR commentator on NBC, helps bring CAL WEATHERS to life in “Cars 3.” Weathers grew up around the track watching his uncle, Strip “The King” Weathers, tear it up. The veteran racer finds himself taking a step back to make room for the next generation on the track. MIKE JOY is FOX Sports’ lead NASCAR announcer who will call his 38th DAYTONA 500 this Sunday. He lends his iconic voice to on-the-spot radio talk show host MIKE JOYRIDE in the movie. Joyride stays one step ahead in the racing news game by keeping a keen eye on where the racing season is headed. RAY EVERNHAM, winner of three NASCAR championships as crew chief for Jeff Gordon and current consultant to Hendrick Motorsports, lends his voice to RAY REVERHAM, Jackson Storm’s crew chief, and an expert at training in the cutting edge technology and tactics being used by the next-gen racers. Evernham also serves as a story consultant for filmmakers.

LIFE-SIZED CHARACTERS NASCAR fans can picture themselves with Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez—or at least life-sized cars designed to look like the big-screen characters. The Cruz Ramirez look-alike premiered in Daytona today, alongside #95—the Lightning McQueen car made its debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January. Comedian and actress Cristela Alonzo got to hang with her character look-alike at the event. “I am excited to be here as race fans get to see these two life-sized characters together for the first time,” said Alonzo. The Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez look-alike cars are slated to make appearances at select races throughout the season as part of a “Cars 3” nationwide tour. Joining them on the tour will be a look-alike of Lightning McQueen’s on-track rival, Jackson Storm. GOING GRAND As was previously announced, Owen Wilson, the voice of Lightning McQueen, will serve as grand marshal of the DAYTONA 500 this Sunday, Feb. 26. Wilson has provided the voice of the red car in all of the “Cars” films. Click to Post

The Road Travelled: History of the Toyota Camry
The Toyota Camry is a car most people never think about — not even the nearly 10 million owners who fire up the mid-size sedan’s ignition each and every morning on their way to work. That’s because all the Camry does is win, posting industry-leading sales numbers year after year as Toyota’s most compelling success story. How did the current Camry evolve to its current status as the ruler of all family sedans? Check out our timeline charting the progression of the Toyota Camry from challenger to champion. 1983-1986: Growing Pains The Camry name is a rough porting of the Japanese word for Crown (kanmuri), with the latter having graced important Toyota sedans since the mid-1950s. After spending a few years wandering the wastelands of its home market’s compact segment under the Celica Camry banner, the Toyota Camry as we now know it went on sale in America as a 1983 model. Labeled internally with the code “V10,” the Camry sedan and its hatchback lineup mate offered a front-wheel-drive layout matched with the choice between a 1.8-liter or 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, with output for the larger motor peaking at 95 horsepower by 1985. There was even a short-lived turbodiesel model, which used a standard five-speed manual gearbox (gas cars could option a four-speed automatic). In some ways, the shift from rear-wheel-drive Corona to front-wheel-drive Camry was instigated by Honda’s success in the U.S. with the Accord, which had debuted a few years earlier. Toyota pushed out the Camry’s dimensions so that it was bigger and more comfortable at all seating positions than the vehicle that would become its biggest rival. Fun fact: Toyota also worked hard at the beginning of the ’80s to convince Ford to work together on vehicle development, even going so far as to suggest that the Camry be built at a Ford plant. Blue Oval leadership declined the offer, and the Camry would go on to sell close to 130,000 examples in its first two years of production. See Also: Where are They Now? How Five Iconic Cars Changed Over the Years 1987-1991: Learning The Ropes Still square and mechanically mostly the same — save for a move to a 16-valve version of its 2.0-liter engine that was capable of producing 115 horsepower, and internal improvements to the optional autobox — the second-generation Toyota Camry that debuted as a 1987 model focused on refinement, rather than revolution. The car’s body became more aerodynamic, a wagon joined the lineup for the first time, and buyers began to notice that Toyota was stuffing the Camry with higher-quality components and materials than what could be found in mid-size American sedans of the same era. The 1988 model year would introduce the Camry’s first V6 engine, a 2.5-liter unit that offered 153 horsepower and dual-overhead cams. Amazingly, not only did Toyota continue to offer the manual gearbox with the V6, but it initially made it a requirement for any buyer who wanted to add All-Trac all-wheel-drive to the mix (the second-gen Camry was the only version of the car to ever be offered with all-wheel drive). The following year Toyota began building the Camry in Georgetown, Kentucky, marking off an important milestone for the Japanese automaker in its quest to solidify an American foothold. 1992-1996: Bigger, Better Camry By the time the early ’90s rolled around, the Camry was no longer an outsider, but a regular challenger for the sleepy Detroit giants who had taken family buyers for granted throughout the past decade (with the exception of the well-received Ford Taurus sedan). The third iteration of the car got even more serious about courting Americans with a six-inch boost in overall length and a typical increase in width that helped it truly qualify for mid-size status. Toyota also did a bit of experimentation with the redesigned Camry, briefly offering a coupe version and backing away from the boxiness of the older model. A bigger car meant larger engines were now needed, with the base 2.2-liter four-cylinder providing 130 horsepower and a new 3.0-liter V6 offering up to 188 horsepower (depending on the model year). The Camry SE would also debut for the first time in 1992 with the intention of attracting performance-seeking buyers by way of a list of handling and suspension upgrades. Additionally, the redesigned wagon was available with the option of a third row of seating. All-wheel drive, however, was gone forever. 1997-2001: The Dominator The fourth-generation Toyota Camry is the one that cemented the automaker’s mid-size dominance for the foreseeable future. A longer wheelbase, modernized styling, and two new engines (a revised 2.2-liter four-cylinder good for 133 horses and a 194 horsepower version of the 3.0-liter V6) were the headlines for the redesigned Camry, but it was a series of constant improvements over its five-year lifespan combined with fantastic reliability that would endear this version of the sedan to family shoppers. The wagon body style had been exiled for good, but the coupe – now called the Camry Solara – would make a comeback as a ’99 model in another attempt to buff up the sedan’s commuter car image. A convertible version appeared the year after. Neither were really necessary, however, because the Camry was by now an unstoppable sales freight train. 2002-2006: More Luxury The Lexus brand, which had been launched partly on the back of the Camry-based ES sedan, had taught Toyota a number of important lessons when it came to maximizing profits, and this was visible in how the 2002-2006 version of the Camry was packaged. The stripped-down base model was dropped from the lineup, a brand-new 2.4-liter, 157 horsepower four-cylinder engine was added, and by 2004, the older V6 had also been replaced (by a 3.3-liter, 210-horsepower six-cylinder). The Solara coupe and convertible would make their last hurrah with this version of the Camry, too, with both bowing out by 2009 after a light restyling effort was made to keep them fresh alongside the redesigned sedan. Still, cars from this era lost some of their luster as Toyota’s pursuit of volume at the expense of quality suddenly had owners dealing with a higher rate of problems, defects, and breakdowns than they had ever encountered on past models. It was an issue that would persist until the end of the decade before the company realized that it needed to right the ship — Camry included. 2007-2011: NASCAR-bound Not only did Toyota face a quality crisis that would overlap part of this generation of Camry, but it also found itself with the task of producing two separate versions of the car — the one familiar to Americans, and a more high-end model that was exported to certain overseas markets. This time, instead of making the entire car bigger, Toyota focused on improving the interior room, which led to a bigger feeling cabin with no additional length or width — the two inches of wheelbase stretch are contained within roughly the same parking spot, although the car now sat two inches taller. The Camry’s sleeker profile would soon be spotted on NASCAR starting grids, too, where the sedan made its first foray into America’s premier motorsport. Although four-cylinder models remained untouched, a new 3.5-liter V6 generating 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque made its debut for the 2007 model year, a substantial boost in power from a motor that would hang in for the next 10 years in one form or another. You could still get a manual transmission with the four-cylinder, but five-speed automatics and even a six-speed automatic for the V6 were far more popular choices. The biggest update to this generation Camry, aside from the styling? The introduction of a hybrid model, which represented the strategy, borrowed from Lexus, to rebrand Toyota as a purveyor of electrified transportation. With about 40 mpg available from the car in city driving, the battery-assisted Camry Hybrid made significant waves in the mid-size segment, but couldn’t attract the same level of attention as the more popular Prius compact hybrid. See Also: 2006-2011 Used Toyota Camry Review 2012-2017: A Return To Form Were there any worlds left for the Camry to conquer by the start of the new millennium’s second decade? Not really — although the threat of SUVs and crossovers would rise like a looming specter not long after its debut in the summer of 2011. Styling for this generation Camry was among the most eye-catching since its ’90s heyday, and the car’s new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine boosted base power to 178 horses (the V6 carried over). The long-standing manual transmission was banished from the Camry’s order sheet, with a six-speed automatic becoming standard across the board. Build quality was also boosted significantly for all versions of the sedan, with customers re-upping on a regular basis and keeping sales numbers strong. 2018-present For 2018, the Toyota Camry makes a substantial leap forward in terms of design and engineering. It now shares its underpinnings with the Prius and the CH-R, allowing the company to leverage its New Global Architecture platform across a wide range of vehicles. With up to 206 horsepower available from its 2.5-liter four-cylinder and 301 horsepower from its 3.5-liter V6 — both of which having been gifted with direct fuel injection — and with a 208 horsepower version of the Camry Hybrid also available, the vehicle has never fielded a more intriguing range of drivetrain choices. It’s also more style-forward than past Camry sedans, especially the extroverted Sport trim. See Also: 2018 Toyota Camry Review Even with all of these changes, however, the car still aims squarely for the hearts and minds of families interested in a reasonably sized, affordable daily commuter that will deliver a hundred thousand miles of worry-free driving. “The Name’s Bond.”
“James Bond”
These classic words from the debonair 00 British Secret Service agent are known around the world.  Based on Ian Fleming’s 12 novels, the legendary James Bond first appeared on theatre screens in 1963, when the first movie – Dr. No – was released. The franchise has been the longest-running film series in history!
For more than 50 years, this suit wearing MI 6 division commander saved the world ~24 times.
His manners are top notch; coinciding a luxurious lifestyle that’s attributed to his knowledge of top-shelf alcoholic drinks, love of fast European manufactured cars, confident demeanor, and cultured characteristics that have stood the test of time as the standard for being a true gentleman.
Times have changed since Sean Connery took on the now famous James Bond role, so we must ask ourselves the following question:  Is James Bond’s lifestyle still the epitome of an elegant gentleman??
James Bond History and Numbers from the Legacy
Ian Fleming was irked by the inability to live the life he dreamed of. Motivated by his brother being in the military, he authored the ultimate spy stories! Personally, I find the books to be more enjoyable than the action-packed films; but, I feel that both are time well spent!
There is no mistaking that the movies have filled the Eon Production’s money coffers to the brim!!! Let’s look at few stats taken from 007james.com
The numbers are adjusted for inflation and in accordance with the CPI
[table id=12 /]
The James Bond character has been played by 6 different actors; each one making bank!
[table id=13 /]
Now the debate begins – who was the best Bond?
I thoroughly enjoyed Sean Connery’s performances, and the movies back in the early days had a better feel to them in my humble opinion. It felt much less based on action and much more on the plot, let us really see the character of Bond — demonstrating the characteristics so well known today. Pierce Brosnan came in a close second, but the action based movies to me didn’t give enough time to enjoy more punch lines (an example coming later in the post). [Note from Jack: Brosnan is the quintessential Bond.]
Unfortunately, in the bond series, there are various scenes between him and the lovely bond ladies that are a bit too aggressive to us. Maybe this is why I feel pretty strongly that Dukes are the better gentlemen these days.
Who’s your favorite bond? Let us know in the comments!
What Makes James Bond a Gentleman?
Top Shelf Indulgences
“Vodka Martini…….shaken not stirred”
Throughout the movies, 007 orders various top-shelf liquors, sometimes stating preferences for limited edition bottles.
Here are a few examples:
Champagne Bollinger R.D. 2002: ~$300 / 750ml bottle
Belvedere Vodka: $80 /1.75L bottle
2005 Château Angélus Premier Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émilion: $430 / 750ml bottle
Macallan 18-Year: $240 / bottle
Drinks from the movie Spectre, written up by www.eater.com
Groomed, Tailored, & Irresistible
Tom Ford or Brioni Suits
Even as 007 loses suitcases, changes countries, and continuously escapes imminent danger – he always finds a way to look dapper. His tailored suits from Tom Ford are quite the quality….and price tag: ~$5,500 each!!!
Image from: http://www.jbsuits.com
Manners and Confidence That Always Get the Girl
In each movie, Bond is able to use great manners, confidence, and mysteriousness to woo any girl he encounters. It’s as made up as the Axe Effect. He’s calm and composed. Always the man with the plan, knowing what to do even when the situation looks dire. James Bond never gives up and always, always goes back to save the girl!
M (his manager) gives him the opportunity to take leave on the government’s dime after saving the world, and the movies never show him doing so without a companion along for the adventure.
As stated above, we don’t condone the aggressiveness in some of the interactions he has. We treat our other halves with respect and love at the Duke of Dollars Kingdom.
5-star Only World Traveller
Not only does Mr. Bond stay in beautiful hotels in fabulous places, he does so in the best rooms such as the presidential or VIP suite. Here are a few places he stayed in the different films:
The Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas: ~$500 / night
Hôtel du Cap – Eden Roc in France: unknown
Hotel Danieli in Venice, Italy: ~$500 / night
The Langham in London: ~$700 / night
Drives fast expensive cars
Here are just three of the many cars throughout the bond movies. The prices below are the current price, not the prices from the past. In the books, James Bond actually drove a pre-war Bentley, but Goldfinger made one of the cars below famous: any idea which?
1. Aston Martin DB10
2. Aston Martin DB5
3. Toyota 2000 GT
Aston Martin DB10 – ~$500,000
Aston Martin DB5 – $1,000,000+
Toyota 2000 GT – $560,000
The answer is the DB5 – the most famous car in the world thanks to the Bond movies.
Always Completes the Mission
In our culture, the commitment and consistency bias mental model is a staple of being successful. We want to be friends with and trust people who are consistent and do what they commit to.
How many missions has James Bond failed out of the 24 we’ve had the opportunity to watch? 0.
This important trait is very gentleman-like because of how valuable that is with a future partner.
Technologically Sound
One of my favorite scenes that show the relationship between 007 and the quartermaster. It is a challenge to stop laughing after the punch line @~1:20 :
“Just took a few seconds Q…”
The New Age Gentleman – A Master Duke!
In this essay, we’re stating that standards for being a gentleman have changed. It’s time we define a new class of gentlemen; we’ve stated our reasons below.
It Costs too Much to live like Mr. Bond!!
According to CNBC, it would cost $1,500,000 to live like James Bond in the movie Spectre – an $800,000 apartment, $250,000 car, $6,000 watch, $4,000 suit, $2,100 hotel, $850 phone, and that doesn’t even include the plane tickets!
The movie is only 2 hours long! To achieve FIRE using the 4% withdrawal rate, Bond would need more than 5 MILLION dollars invested.
SN – the movies fail to mention that Bond was only able to spend like this while on missions. His focus for most of the year is on paperwork and intelligence. When duty calls for an out of state assignment (once or twice a year),  he uses the unlimited bankroll of the British Government to fund his lifestyle.
On the other side of this lavish spectrum comes the Dukes of the Duke of Dollar Kingdom. Although the opportunity to take on some Extreme Dating does happen within the budget, our life choices are not even close to the luxurious Mr. Bond.
Because Dukes live frugally and live with end goals in mind, we are able to spend much less – reducing the FIRE number we require. Why does this matter? Because instead of fancy vacations, expensive cars and watches, we indulge in our newfound time by building relationships in our lives – increasing our overall happiness!
We want to also note that once we have achieved our kingdoms, saving up and going to extravagant places can be on the bucket list! Tell us in the comments some of the ideas you have for FIRE. What will you do with your new time?
Do Cars and Clothes Matter? Stability is better!
The Financial Independence lifestyle might not create the most extravagant dates or the designer clothes and suits, but it allows for the most important things in your life.
Have you always wanted a classic car or fancy suit but don’t think you can afford it?
Once your kingdom is built, we say go for the gusto! Financial Independence isn’t about withholding from the dreams you have; it’s quite the opposite, leading you to better control your life to get the things you truly want. All it takes is a commitment, some creativity, and lots of hard work!
[Jack: sometimes my wife and I will dress to the 9’s and “play fancy” for a date. This doesn’t always involve a huge dinner bill or ritzy hotel, but we make a point to adopt overly debonair mannerisms for the night. Netflix in PJ’s is just as fun
The best part of being a Duke? You don’t NEED the fancy life. You can hold the door of a Camry for any lucky lady and she will love you just the same!!
In Millionaire Next Door, the fancy clothes and cars that the U.A.W.s (Under Achievers of Wealth) have are not quite so fancy to the bank account.
Late on a car payment? How about struggling to pay off the car? How about the mortgage? These are things of the past…Dukes use their wealth to rid themselves of the gremlin armies of debt!
By doing so, we open up our lifestyles to focus on passions instead of stressing out to pay those we owe. We budget, we invest, and we prepare for curve-balls. This financial stability leads to knocking out one of the biggest stresses in relationships – finances.
Like the great Bobby McFerrin wrote for us…don’t worry, be happy.
Happy Families Require Commitment
Time with family is an imperative part of your life. You can’t help one of your family’s mini-dukes as they learn the basic multiplication tables if you’re not there when they begin studying them. Dinner at home with the family leads to healthier and happier family members.
Working overtime and long hours once you’re out of the “grind years,” does nothing but take time away from those you care about the most. Our journey to a financial kingdom contests this!
Once you have that F-You money, overtime is a thing of the past – allowing you to focus on priority numero uno – your family!
Dukes Build Homes Not Bachelor Pads
There is a huge difference between real, unwavering, and trust-filled love relationships compared to quick, passionate, fly-bys. Builders of a financial kingdom understand the importance a spouse in their life, so they choose carefully. They add to their happiness for years vs minutes or hours.
You may not get every girl you want or have them automatically at the drop of your name. Ladies may not unrealistically fall in love with you after hours stuck on a train, but you will have that very special person in your life who gives you gifts money just can’t buy!
By being a Duke, instead of a 00 womanizer such as Bond, the only thing you chase after are brave, intelligent spouses with longevity as the motivation to build a wonderful life. One of the most important decisions you make in your life is who you marry, not who you hook up with!
Dukes build homes, not bachelor pads.
It’s like the old question to any gentleman goes: “If you had a daughter or son, how would you want them to be treated?” I’d prefer an answer from those who have financial kingdoms and respect in mind.
Are Fancy Dates a thing of the Past?
We’d never suggest such a thing!
Going on a date with your loved one doesn’t require a fancy car or even a fancy dinner. A fancy date with suits and a beautiful dress, make-up, and candles can be an extravagant experience every once in awhile – plus it’s super romantic. We, of course, are fans of the Extreme Dating policy.
Dukes can afford this without having to suffer the consequences due to their overall financial stability mentioned above.
Just as fun, heading to the grocery store in your sweats and buying your favorite foods (and dessert of course!). Getting back home, you turn the Bluetooth speaker volume up, preheat the oven, and let the cooking collaboration begin…adding in some dances to your favorite song with your other half as you wait!
Disclaimer – I can’t do this LOL [Jack: me neither, but I try]
Once the meal has finished and you both have sung too much and danced until your feet hurt, light the candles on your dinner table, dim the lights, and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Concluding Thoughts
Our responsibility, motive, and passion has been and will continue to be passing on the values to live that successful life so many dream of. Being a gentleman doesn’t require unlimited funds from the British government.
We hope to have convinced you that the new age of being a gentleman has begun, join us as we change the culture to appreciate the truly finer things in life: time, communication, trust, respect, and fun.
Lastly, although the idea of being a gentleman feels like it mostly relates to the behavior of men, in actuality women have the choice of accepting the different traits that men strive for. In other words, it is just as important for women to decide what the definition of a gentleman is because men are incentivized (as in, they want to find a spouse) to acquire the behaviors associated with that definition. If women ever fawn over men in high heels, you won’t be able to hear yourself think over the click-clack of 5″ manpumps. Likewise, a dating culture that frowns upon objectification and womanizing will help to encourage young bucks to max out their respect games. We are hopeful that the cultural winds are blowing in that right direction.
What gentleman traits do you think are most important to exhibit or require? Do you agree or disagree with our case study?
Tell us what you think by leaving a comment – we’d love to discuss it with you!

What to Expect at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show » AutoGuide.com News
http://www.autositenews.com/?p=6754
The first major auto show of 2018 is just around the corner.
The 2018 Detroit Auto Show, also known as the North American International Auto Show, will open its doors to the media on January 14. Automakers worldwide have already begun teasing their debuts and concept cars, but like previous years, expect some surprises to bow.
2018 Detroit Auto Show Coverage
For now, here’s a preview of what has been confirmed and what we’re hoping to see at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show in less than two weeks.
Acura
Acura has confirmed the 2019 RDX Prototype will make an appearance in Detroit, releasing the above teaser image for its popular SUV. Set to preview the third-generation Acura RDX, don’t expect this prototype to steer very far away from the production model. The new RDX is designed and developed for the first time in America and represents the most extensive Acura redesign in more than a decade. The bigger news is the new RDX is the first in a new generation of Acura products inspired by “Precision Crafted Performance” and signals the beginning of a new era for Acura.
Audi
The big debut over at Audi’s booth will be for the all-new A7 Sportback. The latest version of its stylish fastback four-door was first shown in October during a special event, but its arrival in Detroit will mark its first appearance at a publically accessible auto show. After seeing the new A8 in LA, we can’t wait to get up close and personal with the closely related A7.
BMW
BMW will celebrate two world premieres at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, the updated i8 Coupe and the all-new BMW X2. Don’t expect very many surprises with the updated BMW i8 Coupe as we saw most of it when the new i8 Roadster debuted late last year. But it will be our first opportunity to get a look at the X2 crossover that the German automaker revealed online last year.
Chevrolet
Many of you are probably hoping General Motors is bringing the C8 mid-engine Corvette to Detroit, but we have serious doubts. Instead, the General’s staple brand will show off its new Silverado following the truck’s surprise debut at the Texas State Fair. We’re endlessly curious how it will look in person.
Ford
All signs point to Ford unveiling its new Ranger pickup in Detroit, which might become the home of several new truck debuts. Don’t be surprised if Ford brings a couple sports cars to the show as well, possibly a Bullitt Mustang or the recently leaked GT500.
Honda
Honda isn’t being very secretive with its Detroit debut, showing off the return of the Insight nameplate well in advance. The new Insight features the Japanese automaker’s two-motor hybrid system, along with more mainstream styling for wider appeal. Like Acura, Honda is calling the car a “prototype” but don’t expect the production model to be very different. The new five-passenger, 2019 Honda Insight will be positioned above the Civic.
Hyundai
Hyundai has already released several teasers for the upcoming Veloster hatchback, and it has even been caught on camera completely undisguised, so expect to see it at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. The Veloster is expected to be the first “N” performance car for the North American market, since the i30 N won’t be making it to the U.S. or Canada.
Infiniti
Infiniti recently released an image of the Q Inspiration Concept, which represents the next step in Infiniti design. Featuring clear and concise lines, the concept “eschews classical sedan forms with its elongated silhouette,” said Infiniti. More importantly, it previews Infiniti’s new design language that will influence future vehicles.
Jeep
Jeep has already released a few photos of the 2019 Cherokee, sporting a new and more premium design. The American automaker is also promising to deliver more fuel-efficient powertrain options with the new SUV, but we won’t get full details until it officially debuts at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.
Lamborghini
Detroit will probably see the North American and auto show debut of the Urus SUV. Lamborghini’s first SUV for 25 years debuted in Italy in December, but we’ll get our first good look at it in Detroit. Perhaps we’ll even see it in a different color than the yellow and grey colors it was shown in late last year.
Lexus
Lexus is shifting gears now that the RC and LC models cover the luxury coupe segment. Late last year it unveiled the three-row RX crossover, and now the LF-1 Limitless Concept will preview a future flagship crossover for the brand. Created by the CALTY design studio in Southern California, the LF-1 Limitless Concept promises to redefine the boundaries of luxury.
Mercedes-Benz
The major debut from Mercedes-Benz will be a redesigned G-Class models after spending decades without any significant changes. As you can tell by recent spy photos, don’t expect the iconic G-Class to change significantly on the outside. Instead, major changes will take place inside the cabin, along with new powertrain options, and some weight loss. There’s also the rumor that Mercedes-AMG will roll out a new 53 series of models, sporting a hybrid powertrain with a turbocharged six-cylinder engine and electric motor. The prime candidate? The new CLS.
Ram
One of the more highly anticipated debuts for Detroit is the 2019 Ram 1500 that has surfaced numerous times in recent months while testing. The next-generation Ram pickup won’t follow in the footsteps of its competitors, retaining a steel body. There will naturally be some major changes for the truck, and we’ll get all the details in less than two weeks.
Toyota
Toyota decided to get adventurous when it came time to redesign its popular Camry, giving it arguably the most aggressive styling the sedan has ever seen. And now it appears the full-size Avalon is getting a similar treatment. So far, Toyota has released the above teaser image for the new Avalon, sporting a bold design while riding on what is expected to be a stretched version of the automaker’s new global architecture.
