Gabriel and preening

Preening and grooming each others feathers is a normal social custom in Heaven/Angelic communities

Preening helps with cleaning any debris, removing broken barbs, and promoting healthy feather growth by removing any pin feathers. Preening is a beneficial part of Angelic culture due to not only helping wing health, but also connecting with other angelic deities and having an intimate relationship with them

Preening is usually reserved for close family, friends, and or partners due to touching another person wings is deemed inappropriate.

Wings of angels who lack such intimate connections with other angels or simply aren’t around anyone they trust look more rugged and unkept at their more hard to reach areas.

Due to Gabriel’s time as Judge of Hell, not many people have come to take care of his hard-to-reach pin feathers. Due to this, Gabriel’s flight does take a bit of a tool since he didn’t have many healthy feathers to take flight with. Well, until that machine came around

But I’ve been thinking about how the Council told Gabriel that if he didn’t redeem himself in 12 hours (or something along the lines of that) that he would die.

I think back to the story of Adam and Eve when they were told that they were going to die but they didn’t. In the story of Adam and Eve, the two of them are casted out of the Garden of Eden and are susceptible to death and become “mortal”.

Now I can’t stop thinking about human Gabriel and V1 wandering around heaven or earth together.

Also mortal Gabriel would definitely have poorly cut shoulder length hair bc of the hole when a man (general) cuts their long hair, an angel loses their wings saying. He’d also definitely go by They/Them once he became mortal/casted out

Saint Michael, the first of the archangels who’s been created by God, is the Angel of Judgement, War, Death, and Fire. Michael never really prided himself in his job, but he never let his sympathy get in the way of his orders.

Despite his reputation of being such a highly respected and feared angel, many people describe Michael as kind and generous towards his people. He showed kindness and love to every angel, lesser or supreme.

God, in regret of creating Hell, sent Michael into the belly of the unholy beast to slay it once and for all. He hasn’t returned since. No one knows if he's alive or dead. His body was never found.

I definitely didn’t forget about Art Fight this year and I definitely didnt scrabble to redesign my Ghost/Imp OCs

For the redesigns, I made it more Sci-Fi instead of formal since I thought it would fit Andreano’s (My Papa OC) era better

Description:

Beta, commonly known as Yael, is the first Imp that was summoned for the Ministry. Due to the lack of experience of Imp summonings (at the time), Yael developed Monduloparalysis (caused by a summoning not being casted properly leaving the summoned demon unable to change forms on command), leaving her permanently disabled. Despite her being in the ministry for the longest out of the four imps, Yael is the youngest out of the four.

Yael’s old/second design:

The old design looked too blue and less Sci-fi looking in my opinion. I feel like she would stick out like a sore thumb along with the other Imps since the my ghoul were more bland and had less color than the Imps. They also looked too modernly formal

This was her first ever design. She was originally just going to be a silly self insert (that’s why she has the Impora Era uniform on) but I decided to make an entire lore thing instead. I also reused the beige horns from this one to the new one because I needed her to be special <3 /j

Thinking about how I would style the eye holes for Gabriel helmet 3.0

I’m stuck between having the eye mesh blend in with the base color or having it dark like an actual wearable knight helmet

I feel like having it blend would make it look unnatural because of the mesh but having it dark would stray a bit too far from his original design
