🐕‍🦺 Sassy Mutt Headcanons

🐾 Says “yes, Derek” in a tone just a bit too sweet when she’s irritated. Enough to make his brow twitch.

🐾 Follows orders exactly,to the point of petty obedience. “You said stand there. You didn’t say don’t sit on the table.”

🐾 When Derek’s lecturing her, she nods along like she’s at a TED Talk. Eyes wide. Taking mental notes.

🐾 Will stare at him blankly when he insults her intelligence, only to later solve the problem while muttering “must be luck, huh.”

🐾 Sometimes she mouths along with his rants. Not loud enough to be caught, but he sees it.

🐾 “Of course, I live to serve,” she says, and somehow it sounds both devoted and like she’s rolling her eyes inside.

🐾 When given a treat or gift, she says “wow, how generous” like she’s quoting a hostage video.

🐾 If Derek’s acting like a drama queen, she will lower her eyes like a humble mutt, but her mouth will twitch. She’s holding back laughter and he knows it.

🐾 Occasionally parrots his phrases back at him in his tone. “Is that what you’re wearing?” she whispers under her breath.

🐾 When Derek tells her to stop being weird, she’ll blink slowly and say, “But you like it when I’m weird.” And she’s right.

🐾 Has called him “your royal highness” under her breath exactly once. He didn’t laugh. She almost did.

🐾 Will sometimes act extra submissive just to piss him off. “Should I crawl, sir?” with deadpan eyes and an invisible smirk.

🐾 If he’s jealous and possessive, she’ll play innocent but lean into it"Oh, I didn’t notice he was looking at me. Should I apologize for breathing?”

🐾 If Derek’s ranting about people being fake, she’ll quietly sip water and go, “Mm. So true. So wise.”

🐾 Sometimes he catches her smirking at him when his shirt’s wrinkled or his temper’s flaring. She’ll look away too slow.

yep! these are my versions of the BTD/TPOF protags!!

basically, they come from different timelines; one where Kasper is the one Strade kidnapped, and another where it was Mickey instead.

these are, as y'all can Probably guess, their designs pre-games (aka Pre-Strade), so have some design details!

Kasper:

general body shape, hairstyle, and body hair is actually inspired by me irl!

the outfit is the one he was wearing pre-kidnapping.

exact dog breed is unknown; gladly calls herself a "mutt."

the third, non-pride flag pin on his jacket is actually of his fursona; a bright orange and teal rabbit.

take a wild guess which fictional character this guy was technically based off of.

carries a messenger bag that contains several personal belongings, such as a sketchbook, art supplies, his wallet, a journal, and sometimes his phone if he doesn't have any good pockets.

hasn't started hrt yet, but does have a binder at this point.

leg hair = gender euphoria for this guy.

if mutt and derek were to get in a fight, like a really REALLY bad fight and mutt said "You really are good at hurting a person with or without knowing it." (How would derek react?) For extra if mutt were to add something else: "Even if you claim that I belong to you or im yours or whatever- will that even matter now since you obviously are showing you might- no, Can replace me?"

derek...replace mutt???? he’s the one who’s become passive under mutt’s "power". yeah, i know, sounds weird, right? the “dangerous” rich brat who bought her to kill her now, he’s folding like a lawn chair whenever she shows up, tethered by a mutt-shaped hole no one else can fill. it’s like she owns a part of his cold, broken heart, and he can’t function without it now. he’s quietly obsessed, dependent in ways he’ll never admit.

and mutt? she’s got the classic battered wife syndrome locked down she’s stuck. she survived his abuse, but that survival comes with scars deeper than skin. she’s learned to shut up when he snaps, to take the hits and hold on to whatever crumbs of affection she can grab. the emotional captivity rewires her brain until staying feels safer than running. she’s trapped in her own fear, confusion, and warped loyalty.

they’re two broken people, painfully alike, holding on by a thread made of trauma and twisted attachment. neither is free, and the sad truth is: they need each other’s damage to survive.

it’s a cycle of destruction dressed up as love, and until someone breaks it, it’s all they know.

Mutt belongs to him it . Deep down, as much as he hated to admit it, Derek couldn’t replace her. There was a mutt-shaped space carved into his cold heart, and if she was gone, a part of him would be gone too. Its fucked up, but Mutt was the only one who had seen all of him the highs, the lows, everything no one else knew. Somehow, she had managed to survive it all. She had survived an abusive man, and that was a 'test' she had passed. At first, Derek had bought her just to kill her, to let off some steam, but that was in the past, and it no longer matters. There was no fight left between them. When he snapped his fingers, she shut up. But beneath that silence, there is a twisted bond that's real. She was the only one who had been through the fire with him and come out breathing, and deep down, Derek was secretly impressed.

“Oh, you know it, Cherry.”

Because he does. That’s the sick part: Derek knows he hurts people. He’s always two steps ahead, and when Mutt says that line

"You really are good at hurting a person, with or without knowing it."

It doesn’t land like she wants it to. It just confirms something he already believes: that she sees him. So he leans in, gives her that little grin that should be charming but just feels like a knife in the ribs, and adds:

“That’s what you like about me, isn’t it?”

🕷️ Mutt lore drop: the first room wasn't his bedroom 🕷️

you know that room, yeah that one, the one you're in when he first takes you home yeah....it's not his bedroom. it's a special" guest room" in the basement.

that room? Yeah it’s for investors, for when the wrong kind of deal needs smoothing over. Or when someone flies in and wants “a good time” before the contract is signed.

sometimes, when the consequences of his decisions get too close or when someone wants blood or revenge or leverage.

Hell,sometimes it's empty for months and other times it’s cleaned twice in one week.

Other times he sleeps in it when things upstairs get too loud and he wants to feel nothing for a while.

Because the room, it’s already built to hold shame. Already stripped of softness, of story.A room made to be used and then forgotten.

Derek doesn’t forget you,no, he always goes down there now.he didn’t put you in his room.

not just because you’re beneath him, but because the part of him that knows better doesn’t want you that close.

So when you finally make it upstairs?

when he drags you into his sheets and kisses you like you’re air. That’s not safety, that’s when you know he wants you and that’s the scariest thing of all.

Celia is absolutely next. She’s already creeping her way into Mutt in her own very Celia-coded way, blunt, brutal, exacting. She and Derek? Oh, they’re gonna see eye to eye. not in a sweet way. in a “mirror made of broken glass” way In a “you chase your husband into the desert with a whip and a vendetta” way.

“He married fire and thought he wouldn’t get burned.”

this woman is high heels on concrete. she’s blood in the water and perfume in the air. she does not beg, she extracts.

That said, truthfully? The reptiles (Komodo, Dragon) don’t really strike the match in my head the same way. Not yet, anyway. they exist. they’re out there. But the click isn’t there the way it is with the others. I’m sure their stories will come when they want to bite. But Celia’s already pulling up a chair and crossing her legs like she owns the place.

Hi birdie this may be a weird question but I was wondering if you made content about other btd/tpof characters rather then just derek since that’s all I’ve personally seen you post. Like don’t get me wrong I love derek but it would be nice to have a couple things about other characters.

Yes I do! I have some Celia floating around here cause I love her,(i love evil women)the thing is im willing to write for Gatobobs other characters, people just...dont...ask...for them :|

And ive been working on Mutt as my main story so thats whats been front and center.

Only Ep chachter I will write for is Vincent and thats because I completely reworked his route.And him. I have two out of eight of his story parts written and posted and its on my Ao3.

Again, people just gotta ask and looks through the tags on my blog, there is some non Derek stuff.

People can honestly ask me anything if you need a baking recipe, diy help, want to know more about punk and grunge culture. Is Strade allergic to shrimp, how Ren is a gross little pervert and not an uwu soft boy. How did I break my old sewing machine.

And if I'm being honest, I never played btd/btd2 😅, I was like 16 when the games came out, I actually found out about these games from gatobobs web comic this is not romance.(probs shouldn't have read it at that age...but I feel in love with sid)

My taste in men is awful I know o<o

When i was finally old enough to play the games, a whole messy situation happend with the other creator electricpuke. And well all the files are corrupt and I couldn't play the game, whoops.

I have watched and read and seen the other routes and tbh, this is gonna be my I did care for the godfather scene but....

I hated electricpukes routes, and I can't fully judge cause I didn't play the actual game, but they are not my taste.

I loved lawrence, and Ren tho. Strade really made me sick tho. And not in the fun way so probs to gato for making me squirm there.

Fox's route in tpof was actually to much for me. I got all the endings but needed to watch my comfort cartoons afterwards lol.

I am excited to see the new ykmet strade route it looks interesting, ill have to pace myself when that comes out.

As for rire, he was fine, I don't like the posh types o^o

And Mutt is the only story I have on my mind atm, I'm planning a lot for it. I just hope it dosen't become a borning predictable story.
