Times Beck had been an amazing boyfriend and friend
1. Kissed another girl infront of Jade and the whole class to humiliate Jade.
2. Made friends with a celebrity and ignored Jade telling him she is uncomfortable with that idea.
3. Asked Tori for her opinion then got mad at her for stating her opinion and for not agreeing with him.
4. Let Tori insult Jade and said nothing about it.
5. Let's girls flirt with him and never mentions Jade.
6. Let's Jade gets insulted and cares more about some nuggets.
7. Never tells he has a girlfriend.
8. Made Jade believe he was cheating on her with a cheerleader and magicaly forgot to mention she was a child then made it seem like Jade was in the wrong claiming she never gave him a chance to explain when Jade was sitting on his bed doing nothing but wait nicely.
9. With the method acting he was to touchy with Tori when he could had been touchy with Jade but he chose not too.
10. When Jade burned her hand he done nothing about it and he cared more about a stupid bet that he lost in the end.
11. Didn't help Jade produce her play and let Tori do it.
12. Let strange women in a another country touch him and he stood there doing nothing and once Jade saw it he was like what I am supposed to do.
13. Most of the time was in Canada.
14. Pressured Jade to answer a question she was uncomfortable with it, then started a fight with Jade when she didn't want to answer, yelled that he wasn't happy with their relationship.
15. Got Tori fired from Platinum Music Awards, then tried to make a move on her when she was in vulnerable moment. When Tori rejected him because she couldn't do this to Jade, he started to trash talk Jade.
16. Knowingly let Tori eat a burger that Jade rub it on her bear foot and told her about a week later, only done cause Tori refused to kiss and most likely to make her mad at Jade so Tori would kiss him.
17. Gave Jade the role of the dumb one in his movie.
18. Made fun of Tori for not being able to drive.
19. Never listen to Jade talk.
20. Was helping everyone else except of Jade.
21. Laughted at Jade for scratching her nose and didn't believe her when she said she wasn't picking her nose.
22. Made little jokes that he would break up with Jade, making Jade scared and mad at him.
Jade was totally valid when it came to Beck since he never set boundaries with anyone else. Jade wasn't a saint either but Beck wasn't innocent and he added fuel to the flame.
Pretty sure there is more of him being such an amazing boyfriend and friend but can't think of anything anymore.
He was a trash boyfriend. As a friend he was okay

Finally listened to that Jonathan Majors audio… and whew… every word out of his mouth screamed narcissism and abuser. And the amount of people defending that with “he’s just stating his boundaries. He has a great career he needs to protect, blah blah blah.”
Honeys… y’all are TOO comfortable with emotional manipulation and abuse. If you date someone who behaves in ways you don’t like or don’t mesh with your career/morals/whatever, it is abusive to try to shame them into changing to be with you. That isn’t a boundary, that is control. Beyond that, any partner scolding you and your behavior like you’re a child is also abuse.
Also telling someone they are ruining your image because you’re a self proclaimed “great man” is like a huge red flag that you’re not a great man. Because actual great men…. Don’t have to scream it from the top of their lungs? Guess who does though? Abusers to convince everyone they are great. And his entire PR image screams deflection. So there’s that.
I also just think his PR team is trash (I do PR for work) and there were about 100 ways to play this that salvaged his image in the long run and he chose the worst way, which to me (like I thought with Tory Lanez) is not only a statement of guilt but is also the sign of someone who lacks remorse at all for their actions.
And don’t get me started on Miss. Megan Good lol cause I got a rant for that one too.

Five ships: Jonnor, Morisol, Spaige, Bhandallas, Beckdam
Five characters: Ellie, Ashley, Liberty, Terri, Emma
Bonus: Name your five most seemingly unpopular Degrassi opinions :)
1.) Spaige
2.) Morisol
3.) Jonnor
4.) Beckdam
5.) Bhandallas
1.) Liberty
2.) Ellie
3.) Emma
4.) Ashley
5.) Terri
As for my opinions:
1.) I'm not sure how to phrase this without it coming across like I'm excusing Tristan's biphobia or trying to shut down fans' rightful and completely understandable criticisms re: Tristan's biphobic moments. But, I think Tristan sometimes gets scapegoated as the biphobic guy. Degrassi always had a massive biphobia problem, and it didn't begin and end with Tristan. It's present as early as Paige's time on the show. Like many shows at the time and even some present day shows, they refused to label any polysexual characters. It's always "I like people". "I'm not into labels." "I don't like this gender, but I like you." "I'm open minded." Anything that talks around the possibility that a character could be anything besides straight or gay/lesbian. Obviously, sexual orientation isn't limited to a specific label. Oftentimes, people choose to remain unlabeled, fall somewhere under the queer umbrella, or consider things like this very complex and therefore don't take on a label. It's the casual way Imogen goes from "I like people" to being referred to as a lesbian during her final season and expressing disgust when contemplating getting involved with her canonical ex boyfriend. The writers' Twitter "confirmed" Imogen as pansexual years later and that's also how I interpret the character's sexual orientation, but.. it doesn't change how they chose to portray Imogen's sexual orientation. However, it's also true that society is only now starting to catch up and has started writing their characters accordingly. Tristan's ignorance about Miles's sexual orientation and refusal to put his insecurities aside and accept that he's in love with a bisexual man until his final season has no excuse. There could have been an arc dedicated to Tristan unlearning this behavior and being a better partner and person in general. This never happened. Degrassi did the absolute bare minimum by having Lola be the one to validate Miles's identity presumably after enough people called them out on social media following the premiere of Next Class season 1. Tristan sort of halfway accepts that Miles is bi, but it's Miles who has the dialogue explaining while there's never acknowledgement that Tristan hadn't accepted Miles up to this point or made him feel any type of way. And on that note, Miles isn't shown reacting to any biphobia. We don't know what he thinks, whether he's mad, feels rejected, insecure, feels as though he needs to be "less" to be accepted by his boyfriend, etc. I don't think I made any sort of point, but basically I feel like everything gets reduced to "Tristan is trash," and that's the end of the conversation when I feel like it goes much deeper?
2.) Eli wasn't out of character during seasons 13 and 14. There's a precedent for Eli lashing out and blaming Clare when things don't go his way or she does something he perceives as wrong. Also, while the timeline was baffling, Eli's only human and it's not surprising that he'd struggle with loneliness once he and Clare were physically separated. As for season 14, Eli being possessive and saying inappropriate, vaguely misogynistic things to Clare 100% lines up with canon. Eli also seemed fully lucid to me when he was calling Clare a whore. He was clearly getting off on that and only changed his stance when he realized she was carrying his child.
3.) This is so minor, but I don't give a flying fuck that Alex Steele came back as Tori and not Angie. It's television. Actors play multiple roles all the time. It's kind of annoying that this overshadows Tori's whole character and existence. I don't think she was around long enough to be super complex or anything, but I liked that character for who she was and the monthly comments complaining about this since like 2011 have been annoying.
4.) As much as I love the idea of Spinner and Terri getting together and possibly becoming endgame in a scenario where Terri sticks around, in actuality I think Spinner would have dropped the ball hard. Considering how he behaved with Paige during season 4, I doubt he would have been the best boyfriend to Terri with or without Paige's interference. As shady as Paige was, Spinner's interest switched from Terri to Paige extremely quickly.
5.) Ashley was depressed throughout her time on the show barring the year she spent in London and everyone missed it, the writers included. I don't know that this is actually unpopular, but she's constantly misunderstood and accused of being "moody" and "dramatic" and it's just very obvious to me that she's unhappy a lot of the time and feels very stifled. She's desperate to find some sort of way to express herself whether it be by writing and performing songs or altering her physical appearance. And at the end of season 4, I genuinely think her mental health had taken its toll which forced her to cut contact with Craig and get the hell away from Degrassi. While she came back seemingly with a new lease on life and appeared happier during season 6, by season 7 she was back to feeling limited and suddenly, the plans she made with Jimmy that used to make sense felt all wrong. IDK.

It is just so shameful that they tried to cover up this mess with the late A. years of filth could have been prevented had he been caught and jailed during that time for molesting a 15 y/o and marrying her. All those little girls and boys that could have been saved smh I feel like crying and this and yet every time I think about it the rage inside wouldn’t let me cry. What if it was my friends or my family heck even me?
As I hear people begin to go "how did people let this happen," I want to say it's still happening. Look at how many people didn't believe Megan Thee Stallion after she reported being shot, look at how the media/stans and celebrities acted. (There’s a special place in hell for all of y’all 50 cents, Drake and his fake bbl , dababy, joe budden, akademics, lil duval, lebron, that Keebler elf’s daddy, stepmother and even his biological mother for giving birth to such a toxic masculinity, egotistical little bald headed biiitch) They’re were willingly being a bunch of bastards slutting themselves out for a degenerate (to hell with that gremlin and everyone who has said that she was lying fquck every last one of them) and the only logical people besides her fans where two white crime journalists who were spreading the truth better in the last month than those anti black and bw media bloggers (damn them to hell too i ain’t forgot I never forget) in the last two years. That’s why it’s two middle fingers up for everyone who said that she was lying. Why? Because FQUCK them who doubted her and I’m glad that elf is going back to Canada where his napoleon complex arss belongs that’s why!
This sh!t ain’t changed, we’re now more aware of it. We should be outraged by these pick mes and nigcels, a disgrace to the black race, the ones that George Walker bush should had left behind education wise because apparently the no child left behind policy was a mistake and they’re basically the descendants of the slaves who Harriet Tubman would have capped!
don’t believe me? Look at Aaliyah for example . Her uncle Barry Hankerson is trash. He was R. Kelly's manager, knew what happened to his niece with him, and then turned around and stayed working with him. That's partially why the family has not wanted to discuss this. They basically let their own daughter become groomed, abused, manipulated and raped by a monster had he been stopped sooner after Aaliyah, so many girls and boys would have never been victims of his smh!
In all of these cases, one thing that's been common has been the betrayal of family and friends. From Barry Hankerson to Kelsey -- these women was exploited by people who they trusted.
that fact alone makes never wanna protect nobody but me. If I ever get harmed I’m singing like a bird. I don’t gaf if that’s your fave. You mad little pick me and nigcel? Too motherfqucking bad! Those bastards you be cockworshiping ain’t gonna pay your rent nor have sex with your crusty arss , your unwashed legs, your tragic weave and extensions, and your ashy feet!
Every black person who ends up on the wrong side of the law isn’t railroaded by the justice system so spare me the takes on how people like r Kelly or Tory lames and anyone else like them is treated no different than how people from emmitt till to George Floyd were treated. They weren’t railroaded by the system, they weren’t murdered because of white womens lies or having counterfeit two thousand pennies or anything like that. They were rightfully convicted because it was proven by the state courts that they were guilty of the horrific acts they committed against people more specifically black women and for that reason the punishment that they received or will receive was deserved

Hi! Can you explain Lali and Rupert’s age difference? I see some spoilers saying he’s older by 6 months, and some saying a year or two. Which is it?
The easy answer: he’s a year and a half older than her. It’s repeatedly mentioned Lari’s Bday is in January, and Rupert’s is in June/July “Midsummer”.
Considering how the story is consistent in showing how Rupert is always a year older than her, he’s probably 1.5 years older instead of only 6 months. Specific Novel Examples: She’s 12, he’s 13 She’s 14 when he becomes crown prince at 15 in Sept (Public information, recorded in her diary), but he’s actually crown prince when he’s 16, because he has a summer birthday She’s 16 when she left the palace, but was looking forward to celebrating Rupert’s 18th birthday that summer.
The “hard” part is putting together the actual timeline, because how on earth could Rupert be 1.5 years older with a rebellion going on?? Lets see:
Assuming the timeline from the archives (novel ver) is the real “truth” (Vol 5)
Eva arrived on a ship with her young attendant, Tori, and a shipload of other young girls as peace offerings (slaves) near the end of the Vellnelni-Willetan war.
There, Eva quickly got the attention of the Grand Duke (Crazy Emperor), implied because of the spell Duke Miramonte put on her to seduce “the Emperor of the Vellnelni Empire”.
He was so obsessed with her that he requested that Eva ‘be given to him’ as a trophy for all his accomplishments as a war hero who helped subdue Willetan. Akan I, who didn’t believe in slavery or owning others, rejected that offer because he wanted all these Willetan slaves to be freed and integrated into Vellnelni societies as its citizens (commoners).
The Grand duke was NOT PLEASED with that rejection, and started planning for rebellion. Keeping a low profile, he still hung around Eva and eventually “got her drunk, and pregnant”.
Upon hearing of such human rights violation, Akan and the Grand Duke got into a massive argument and his mind was set on rebellion - he wanted to own Eva that much.
He planned out treason carefully, and Lari was born around the time the actual treason was implemented, but was written off as “died quickly from disease”
Shortly afterward, Akan I, Cecie, their daughter and son went into hiding with the help of their retainers, but was eventually caught by the Grand Duke (now ursurper Emperor), who murdered them all yet promising to keep them alive.
Amanda’s letter gave some additional clues:
Lari was at least a few months old when she met her when she visited Champagne
House Belois was already suspicious of the Grand Duke, and warned Cecie about him
Other Canon/Consistent Events:
Lari is born in January
Rupert is born in June/July In the detached palace.
Eva was already pregnant with Rupert when she lived in the Detached Palace. She was basically trapped there: her life was monotonous; she only ever visited the garden. She was often abused with evidence of bruises and injury.
She became Empress after she gave birth to Rupert (hinted)
Trash dad knew Eva had a child when he abandoned her plea for help. (It’s hinted that the promise he made with the Emperor was not to have Eva’s child anywhere near the throne)
Per Papa Felipe, Eva had a lot of men, enough to not be 100% sure who Rupert’s father was. She was that desperate to become pregnant. It’s unlikely she was that promiscuous when she was trapped in the palace.
As such, this is the suggested timeline:
It seems like she was already being assaulted for at least a few months; she formulated a plan for the Grand Duke’s downfall with his “child”. While out in the wild lands, there’s probably a ton of men there, including Papa Felipe who wandered around those days. After all, once she arrives at the palace, she’s basically trapped there.
Upon hearing of such human rights violation, Akan and the Grand Duke got into a massive argument and his mind was set on rebellion - he wanted to own Eva that much.
Assuming the Grand Duke still lived at the palace, he brought Eva and sent her to live alone in secret/isolation at the detached palace. I’m also assuming Akan I and Cecie lived in the main palace. The palace grounds are large: there’s the crown prince’s palace, the detached palace, the Empress’ palace, Arnuf’s palace, Nigelle’s palace, the Emperor’s palace, the main palace, etc.
Eva gave birth to Rupert quietly, with only Tori to help her. She didn’t seem to have servants assigned to her, and her existence largely hidden as she was mostly summoned to the Grand duke’s residence only.
She might have seen Count Belois around this time, a known supporter of Akan, who could potentially save her - but he completely rejected her, and instead used the information she gave him against her at some point.
The Grand Duke planned out treason carefully, (it’s not an overnight thing, it took Ventibolt and Belois years of planning for theirs) and Lari was born around the time the actual treason was implemented, but was written off as “died quickly from disease”
Assuming the Rebellion is ramping up and Akan and his aides know of the inevitable - Akan and his family go into hiding, while Count Belois ‘steals Lari away’ - it’s assumed he traded Belois’ loyalty and Lari’s life, the promise that Eva’s child wont obtain the throne, in exchange for the new Emperor to completely obtain Eva.
Shortly after giving Lari to Belois, Akan I, Cecie, their daughter and son went into hiding with the help of their other retainers, but was eventually caught by the Grand Duke (now ursurper Emperor), who murdered them all yet promising to keep them alive.
As such, Rupert is either 6 months or 1.5 years older than Lari. Again, Considering how the story is (mostly) consistent in showing how Rupert is always a year older than her, he’s probably 1.5 years older.
Also the ages and timeline of the manhwa is all over the place. I gave up piecing that together ^^;
But currently, as manhwa Lari is 17, Rupert’s 19TH birthday is approaching….

Characters Analysis: Chozen Toguchi and Mike Barnes
Chozen Toguchi and Mike Barnes
Tumblr media
Yuji Okumoto’s Chozen Toguchi and Sean Kanan’s Mike Barnes had great reintroductions into the Cobra Kai series. They both came in as  well adjusted adults compared to their younger “psychotic selves.” Enjoy them or not, as people, they have went on powerful journeys.
Chozen Toguchi
Tumblr media
Early Life:
Tumblr media
As a child, Chozen was left in the care of his uncle after his father’s death due to him being a coward. Chozen has been taught to value honor above all else. Honestly, psychologically engrave into him. Unfortunately Chozen inherited his father’s cowardice leading him to cheat his way in life to avoid the risk of losing that honor. His only known friend back then was Kumiko, they played for years and developed bond over. Possibly he was close to with her due to his home life.
Karate Kid Part II:
Tumblr media
Then came in Daniel-San. He got everything Chozen worked for. He has the full honor from Mr. Miyagi that he had to earn from Sato. It was the thing he value the most in life, it made him angry and insecure. Also Daniel getting the girl he was in love with, that sounds familiar. Daniel saving Yuna and helping with Sato while Chozen, who understandably was afraid, backed away from the risk. But due to the person he turned into, Sato considered him to be dishonorable, so he disowned him, taking away his honor, the thing he has been afraid of his entire life. With the one thing that gave him the meaning of life now gone. He now has no reason to consider the consequences of what he did. He only had anger and vengeance toward the person that made him lose his honor. With his honor gone, his humanity was practically remove from him. This made him willing to kill the one person that he loved just to get at the “source”.
After KK2:
Tumblr media
After Daniel-San showed his honor by sparing Chozen, he lived long enough to see the impact that his actions had made to the people around him. Everyone saw Chozen as the monster that he was to Daniel. This is like with Sato, but hundreds of times worse. Unlike with Sato, Chozen has nothing to blame for this but himself. Having more time to process what he did, he realized how awful his crimes were. He trashed a happy day for the people, made  them witness a potential murder, and tried to kill the woman he supposedly loved, all just to get back at someone that barely deserved his wrath. Chozen is back at his childhood self, alone, but this time, he was completely alone. He had no one to really help him learn to be better.  His uncle already saw him as dishonorable, Kumiko probably will never forgive him for trying to murder her, and everyone sees him as a monster. How would he live with himself? He came to the conclusion, he can’t live with himself after everything he has done. So he decided for the sake of everyone, he wanted to kill himself. But before he could, the thing he needed his entire life came to him, the love of his uncle. Knowing his uncle still cared about him, this gave him the motive to give himself another chance. This motive later increased, when the love of his life “found him again.”
Mike Barnes
Tumblr media
Early LIfe:
Tumblr media
Although not much is known about Barnes’ background some people have drawn he has a similar background to the Cobra Kai’s Female Champion, Tory Nichols, from his main trait and motive for what he did.
What we do know, he was a national champion of Karate, being a high blackbelt and earning the name, “Karate’s Bad Boy.”
Karate Kai Part III:
Tumblr media
When we’re first introduced to Mike Barnes, he was a national champion, who seemed like the perfect person for Sensei Terry Silver to torment his enemy, Daniel LaRusso. He was promise was 50% of the dojo if he terrorize this other kid for Silver.
Through the movie, he terrorize the hell out of  Daniel LaRusso to the point where he and his sensei Mr. Miyagi were drifting a part. He ruined his bonsai tree shop, sold the trees, assaulted him twice, assault his good friend, Jessica Andrews, threaten to kill him and Jessica if Daniel doesn’t sign a contract, and snapped his bonsai trees.
But, when Miyagi attacked, he seemed to hesitate, but willing to fight. But got his ass beat.
During the all valley of 85, Mike was ready to wipe the floor with Daniel, but Silver wanted him to torment Daniel more, so Mike purposefully had to lose a point. After bad-mouthing Mr. Miyagi, this angered LaRusso, causing him to defeat him, which left him angry in the end.
After KK3:
Tumblr media
According to him in episode 3 of season 5, Mike stated how insane that there’s a contract that allowed him to hurt another kid, indicating, he knew that he made a deal with the devil. And he was right to have second thoughts since after he failed to complete the task he been given, he loss his credibility as a karate fighter and his financial future ruin. He was kicked to the curve, left to fend for himself. He worked a lot of odd jobs to gained some money for his finance. But one day, he found someone that cared for him a lot. Who taught him the value of creation. Someone to help turn his life around for the better. And later gained the love of his life, the man’s daughter, making him his son in a legal sense.
Comparison to Tory Nichols:
Tumblr media
Barnes and Nichols came in as the tough badass fighter with anger issues that for money whatever reasons (poor background). Some people even believe they could be related (not).
Their relationship with Terry has a similar nature. Terry Silver promised a lot of money and a lot of glory just to keep for their skills as fighter as nothing else. While they know full well that Silver is a mad-man.
Nichols’ background could honestly be similar to Barnes’.
In conclusion:
Tumblr media
Mike Barnes and Chozen Toguchi had got through some powerful shit. Chozen nearly lossed himself but found the light. While Mike lived with the consequences of his mistake and then found someone who loved him like a son.

Let’s talk about Samuel Adams, Father of the American Revolution
Stacy Schiff published an acclaimed biography last year (2022), although it’s certainly not “a revelatory biography from a Pulitzer Prize-winner about the most essential Founding Father—the one who stood behind the change in thinking that produced the American Revolution.” IOW, it’s not a work of scholarship, and I don’t recall a discussion of the “change in thinking” (what does that mean?) that Adams supposedly inspired.
This is definitely a hagiography, but with the focus on the Nation-state builders, it’s good to see some focus on the “original” fighters for liberty. Samuel Adams, at various times, gets thrown back in the bin when it’s deemed that we shouldn’t be talking about people working to overthrow the government - see popular historian take on Lincoln masterfully shifting the focus of the American founding from the resistance fighters and revolutionary firebrands (the folks the early 19th century THOUGHT of as the Founders) to the architects of the American state, a shift that has stayed with us because it was deemed not a good to champion challenging the government (though Schiff herself is a bit all over the place about respect for Adams at the end and immediately after his lifetime). But Samuel Adams is the RIGHT kind of trouble-maker, which Schiff describes from the very beginning - “moral,” “principled, “humble.” Ah, for the day when one doesn’t need to meet the definition of a moral paragon to be acclaimed in American history. I realize I’ve just written to go read this book, and then stated that books like this are of limited value, but my point is it does have valuable information, but be aware of the undercurrents in this approach.
Schiff’s prose is appealing, and she tells the real story of Paul Revere better than I’ve seen it anywhere, so the book may be worth it for that alone. But like all popular biographies of this type, beware the lack of context.
Petty point 1.
First, what’s with the makeover on these guys? This guy:
Tumblr media
THIS GUY:
Tumblr media
Becomes THIS GUY??!!
Tumblr media
I complained about this with Alexander Hamilton, too.
(And I got distracted by this picture of James Watt, as he seems to be a model for some of this re-working.)
Tumblr media
Petty point 2.
The back author blurb is a long paragraph praising the book by Ron Chernow, so I should probably have thrown this book in the trash.  "A glorious book that is as entertaining as it is vitally important.” —Ron Chernow. Why is it vitally important? I still don’t know.
Real point 3.
Adams deliberately destroyed a lot of his correspondence - folks really did want to kill him and issued posters with a ransom so that the Tories could hang him, and took to the grave the stories of lots of events about the American revolution, “Dryly he noted that some individuals enjoyed every political gift except that of discretion.”
Petty point 4.
The hardcover has deckled pages, which makes it really hard to find the picture sections (it has two).
Petty point 5.
To avoid citing in-text, Schiff’s end notes reference the phrase and then provides the citation. While I understand stylists like to do this for readability of non-fiction for a general audience, it also makes it hard to determine an actual fact/reference from stuff the author just pulled out of their ass. I don’t want to flip back and forth to figure out whether you’re making something up.
Real point 6.
Not petty, but grim. I’m about to delve into women and maternity again, so these numbers recall the 17th century admonishment to women that with pregnancy, death awaits you. Elizabeth Checkley, Adams’s first wife, gave birth to six children, of whom only two survived past the age of 2. She likely died of complications from her last childbirth. She was the tenth child that predeceased her own father. Adams had 11 siblings, of whom only three survived their own father.
Petty point 7.
Every description and scene with John Hancock is petty. “The pomp and retinue of an Eastern prince,” Hancock would revel in glory as he did in frivolity,” “thin-skinned,” Hilarious.
Petty point 8.
Schiff making stuff up about the use of “esquire.”
Petty point 9.
“The portraitists arrived only after he had gone gray; Boston was, however, a fair-haired city, and the coloring suggests he had been a blond youth.” Um, what?
Real point 10.
The aversion to discussing cultural/religious matters in these communities. Schiff points out the high literacy of Boston, but makes no mention of what that can be attributed to. Adams is pious, and a Calvinist, and no discussion of what that means. “It is impossible with Adams to determine where piety ended and politics began; the watermark of Puritanism shined through everything he wrote.” Well, what does it mean, and what do you mean by that comment, Schiff? Adams’s first wife was a pastor’s daughter, but don’t look to any further explanation from Schiff about any of what that could mean. Don’t look to her to provide any explanation of the Adams quote I provide below, either.
Real point 11.
Schiff reminded me that Massachusetts only barely ratified the Constitution; Adams was one of those who in the end supported it, but was hesitant to ever again be under a national government. And yet he was a Lt. Gov, but his career was clearly in decline. Schiff treats this topic as if it’s baffling - well, maybe the shifts in national politics may explain it? Changes in Boston commercial and political interests? But we already know that popular biographies don’t have time for stuff like that.
Finally, a quote from Samuel Adams:
“The truly virtuous man and real patriot is satisfied with the approbation of the wise and discerning; he rejoices in the contemplation of the purity of his intentions, and waits in humble hope for the plaudit of his final judge.”

Did a redesign if my delta rune oc. Meet Eden (the flower head) and Eve (the snake head)!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MASSIVE lore dump under read more. Could update/change things later though.
(Some slight tw for themes of religion and body horror)
INSPIRATIONS:
Her base body is based on the N64 controller, though in cannon she's a bootleg controller.
The snake from the garden of eden.
Irl 2 headed snakes, her tail can shake and rattle like a rattle snake as well.
Priests with long robes and dangly jewelry and gold.
Oroboros aka the snake eating its own tail
LORE
Before gaster
Before Gaster, Eve was an average bootleg controller, with one head. That being said, Eve was a star, a beloved toy to asreil, while her friend Adam was kris's controller, the one that came with the console. After asriel went to college, kris rearly played video games, and when they did, they never played with Eve. She wondered if she wasn't good enough, how she could change herself to get loved again. She wanted desperately to feel needed, to be worth while. That's when a man came into her life...
While with Gaster
A man saying he could give her purpose, to make her powerful, without the lighteners, a greater purpose than being a toy for a child. He just needed to test some stuff on her, but it was all in her best interest.
What she didn't realize this was an experiment for Gaster to test the effects of possession, to see how the body would react to a being taken over by another being. He planted a special plant seed filled with abandoned hope of a lighter (aka a seed/flower that asgore gave to tori that she threw away) in hopes of finding out more about vessels and their puppeteers (to prepare for your/ the player's arrival)(on a side note, this is also partially why spamton neo exists in this au, testing a possible hollow/robodic vessel, while Eve is a conscious vessel)
As the plant started growing inside her chest, making her feel much, much worse then before, but said nothing. "This will work long term. I'll be loved if I stick with it" she told herself. It kept getting worse. The sick feeling in her chest became constant feelings of paranoia, fear that everyone could see how she's breaking. How everyone could see her true worth, and they only put up with her put of pitty.
One day, after a confrontation with mike, the "long-term" benefit she was looking for burst out of her back, in the form of thorny vines lashing out at people. In fear of what she had become, she ran from the world, running to find Gaster and find out what she had become. She searched and searched, but nobody was there. After collapsing from exhaustion, one more surprise bloomed from the bottom of her neck. Her last friend. "No one will hurt us again." It promised. Its name was Eden, a culmination of her guilt and sin. After that, they isolated themselves in the trash can full of asgore flowers.
The main playthrough stuff is still a wip, but I got some reorganized stuff filled out
Her secret area is the "graveyard garden" aka the trashcan full of flowers
Her boss fight (most likely) uses the purple heart mechanic, with you dancing on the vines, with her swinging them around to dissorient you
If you pacify, Eve realizes your not a threat, but Eden still insists of fighting, leading to Eve attacking Eden, and the fight being over. If you attack, it's the reverse, where Eve begs you to stop, while Eden keeps trying to force you out/kill you, and Eden gets fed up and attacking Eve.
Slight change from cannon, her items are sword of tears (if you attack her)that lowers the opponents attack for a turn if you attack them, or the clock of thorns (if you pacify her), which is like your average thorns buff, cause damage to the opponent if they hit you.
In the weird route, she learns bravery and attempt to save people from you, (toriel is like the noel of this route)
At the end of the route, she fight you, but as the fight goes on you see her showing empathy for kris, realizing their a pawn in your rampage, but as she hesitates to kill you at the end, toriel sacrifices herself to save kris, killing ened in the process (in a move called hellfire)

Awe Stephanie didn’t have the imagination that Rebecca did
Stephanie will never be Rebecca Cooper‘s mother and neither will Tori Amos because you’re not using her for extra produce after all of the things I have been through baby child that material connects directly to Rebecca not to trash like you.
Nobody wants to consume you, Stephanie. You’re made out of grease d
You addy has a small dick and I need you to stop lying
Honey baby girl, I promise you you’re very very confused about that Rebecca Cooper because there would not be that many Australian people watching me if what you said had any relevance

Yeah I’m sure Tori Amos is a huge fan of you LOL such a huge fan that I am calling a medical doctor to see if we can have people like you murdered baby girl, you will never be important people believe that honey muffin
But you already got to sleep with my ex-boyfriends what more could you want?
You can say that all day long slut, but it’s not going to save your life. A medical doctor will murder. You’re sorry ass and you will be sorriest when you are about to die.
Rama did you sleep with her as well?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then everybody gets jealous
If you guys are already sleeping with each other, you need to focus less on what Rebecca Cooper is doing
But Teresa wanted to say that she had a daddy, but it had to be Rebecca’s daddy
And then she also needed stepdaddy
But none of it was hers
And she already got everything given to her as a little kid, just for being incest freak
It’s not because of that thing on your back, it’s because you’re a bag of trash
And then you had to give away your child so that you felt like you had enough time to sleep with People on the couch
What important people are you sleeping with Teresa and why is it that you’re not in a serious relationship with these alleged important people?
Well?
Maybe you should focus more on your child instead of sleeping with people who want your sister
It’s not a question hooker, you can either get with the program or a medical doctor can murder you sorry ass, but you’re not special baby child
You’re just another dumb hooker, just like Judy

The nice Mr Cleverly
Back in the 50s, my family drove through the rural backwaters of Middlesex in our Old Ford Anglia (the model before the one with racy styling that Harry Potter trashed, built like a set of boxes on wheels. The sort of thing Childe Boris might have constructed out of cornflake packets and painted as black as his heart). We were headed to the village (you heard me) of Kenton to visit my surviving Great Uncle and his two sisters.
The sisters were “maiden aunts”. I should explain for the younger audience that a “maiden aunt” was, in those days, an aunt who had the good sense to avoid, or lacked the qualities needed to attract, a husband. I don’t know if there was an actual equivalent descriptor for an uncle who had had similar good fortune, but there were numerous examples of brothers and sisters living out their lives in platonic mutuality. This was before social media and any aspersions cast upon such people were left to village gossips.
But I digress. The point I was headed for when I rudely interrupted myself was that, of the two ageing ladies, one was known as “the nice Miss Colbert”. And the reason she was thus known was because she wasn’t always unpleasant to people.
What a great accolade! To be regarded as nice simply because from time to time you curbed your waspish proclivities. Even as a child, hearing my usually reticent Dad (he would have said “diplomatic” or “discreet”; he was a lifelong civil servant) describe her thus, I felt that this was not something to take pride in. My Mum’s take on “good manners” was “never offending other people” (which I also came to question in time. Some people are so offensive that you cannot help offending them. Just be nice about it!).
But that is just the background to my point, which I will now attempt to make.
James Cleverly, probably the most inappropriately named member of the present government now that Chris Pincher has left, has acquired a reputation for being – yes an idiot – but a benign idiot. But hearing him acting up to the populist draw of his recent appointment as Home Secretary (which, let’s face it, had more to do with making room for that pink-faced PR liability, Cameron than with any ministerial merit on Mr Cleverly’s part), I can’t help drawing comparisons with the “nice” Miss Colbert.
In short, do we only think of him as the “nice” Mr Cleverly because he is not always a viscous Tory arsehole? Looking at his most recent positional takes, I am beginning to think that we do.
I accept that, unlike my maiden aunt, Mr Cleverly has the excuse that despite, or possibly because of, his legendary stupidity, he retains an astonishing ambition, not merely to remain a member of the gross insult to the Conservative Party that the nasty racist rabble current holding the party to ransom have made of it, but to lead it. Why is beyond me to reason. I could better understand the egregious Matt Hancock’s desire to participate in “I’m a Celebrity”. Maybe he is short of the readies but frankly prostitution, or writing for the Guardian, would be a more honourable way of filling his bank account if so.
But I find it hard to believe that James Cleverly is happy with the level of unprincipled wickedness he is espousing. He’s got the job, he doesn’t have to try to outdo his two morally repugnant predecessors.
You don’t have to be left wing to see that the Rwanda concentration camp model that the Home Office has been wedded to under Braverman and Patel as a “solution” to the refugee crisis is utterly devoid of merit even as a bit of electoral PR. The figures alone do not add up (one jumbo jet’s load of refugees for £400 millions: £1.8 millions per refugee, according to the NAO). And the want of humanity is staggering.
And now he is limbering up to place further curbs on political protest. “Political protest” is, of course, a tautology. All protest, other perhaps than a child’s protest at having to eat up all his greens, is political. Politics, as my old constitutional law lecturer tried to drum into us, is about power. Protest happens because the people with the power are not listening to the people without it. It may not be textbook democratic, but, pitched against that standard, it beats the office of Home Secretary hands down. Or any of the other ministerial and sub-ministerial unelected appointments, for that matter.
The present Administration of All the Shysters has made catastrophically damaging inroads into our age-old right to protest and done so on the most specious of grounds, threat to national security, for which there is no, repeat, no, evidence. Their true motivation is to control the message – in other words, to exercise a monopolistic command over what we hear each other saying - which, let’s face it, is all they have. But, and I wish there was a less dramatic word I could use here, that is a core fascistic ambition. Straight from the playbook of the worst examples of tyrannous depravity.
It is no use trying to persuade us that if we don’t like our government our answer is through the ballot box. This is not a democratic nation. The main parties have, across the centuries, made sure of that. And even if the electoral system did enable the making of free and informed choices, which it does not, once in four or five years is just not good enough. As we have seen with “austerity” and brexit and the environment and the economy and public services, a lot of lasting damage can be done in four years. A government is not just for Christmas. It is supposed to act in the best interests of the nation, and be accountable to the nation, at all times. Protest is a part of that. A legitimate part of it.
So, back to the “nice” Mr Cleverly. What we are getting from him just now is not at all nice. It is, in fact, authoritarian, manipulative and downright shameful: anti-British, if you like. Is that who he is, or just how he thinks he has to pretend to be? And if it is the latter, can he just think it out again, please? I really don’t think he is a bad man, but it would be “nice” if he didn’t think he has to be.

CHARACTER NAME: anthony j crowley
CHARACTER AGE & DOB: november 23rd 1972 / 51
CHARACTER GENDER/PRONOUNS/SEXUALITY/ETC: genderfluid, all pronouns, queer
CHARACTER FACECLAIM: david tennant
CHARACTER FANDOM: good omens
CANON OR OC: canon
CHARACTER JOB/PLACE IN THE INDUSTRY: retired musician/lead singer of the knights, now does a lot of work advocating for queer charities etc, being a general Presence and Voice among the scene. retired old gay ok, he's slaying
CHARACTER BIO/IMPORTANT INFORMATION: growing up, crowley never really seemed to fit in with his parents. he asked too many questions, bothered them with his wide eyed dreams and constant bouncing between hobbies. involved more in politics, they didn't have all that much time to devote to their child, nor to their dreams. it meant that, in all honesty, crowley fell in with some of the wrong crowds through school. but, in spite of the rebellious nature to those friends, they were welcoming. nourishing. kind and encouraging of his talents and desires for more.
finding this group meant that, eventually, crowley (who had been going by that name for some years now. never anthony. NEVER) found a proper outlet for his creativity. and a lot of that late teen angst and parent issues. he poured himself into music, eventually forming the knights, a punk rock band that gained notority for their heavy sounds and gritty, down to earth lyrics. ones that didn't shy away from some harder topics. including, very often, trashing crowley's parents political movements (booo hiss we hate tories here).
through the years, crowley got a name for themself further, for their loud opinions on queer rights and liberation. crowley has remained loud on this matter throughout her life. even if they're a bit of a disaster queer in their personal life, dont look at their emotional support definitely not boyfriend lalalalla.
eventually though, crowley burnt out. surrounded more and more by the wrong kind of people, crowley fell out of love with what he was doing. sure, he did his fair share of dramatic things in life, and certainly wasn't the cleanest soul… but when the criminal charges started surrounding people he'd associated with, he drew a line. enough was enough. and crowley retired from her music career in 2011
since then, things have fluctuated. a few movie roles here and there. mostly, crowley has remained a permanent celebrity icon, one who has gone through circles of popularity, but inevitably, always ends up back on top. scandals are never lasting, and he's always eternally glad he severed ties with certain people when he did.
he likes his little life now, especially because it means more time spent with his best friend.

I’ll never forgive him who has put meg through two years of trauma that he caused and made her look like a liar when he was the one who shot her. I wish He and his fans a very rih(as in rot in hell) Same thing with Drake , Joe budden , Zach Campbell, Lebron James , Mariah the scientist, Dababy, Dj akademiks, 50 cent, all the media outlets that were slutting themselves out for this piece of trash by spreading misinformation and lies about his trial so much that they didn’t care about being ethical or professional (the fact that two white women and crime journalists were more accurate than “black” bloggers is just whewww I’m pissed) and everyone else who ever doubted her and I meant that with the upmost disrespect. Like seriously they can all burn right now, heck I’ll get the matches and kerosene and fry them arssholes myself.
Meg tried to protect him until he opened his mouth. The DA prosecuted him and she was still treated like a villain instead of a victim/survivor. Absolutely DISGUSTING. That man brought his child to court as a prop for sympathy knowing DAM WELL he was guilty 🤡. I pray that Meg and any woman/man dealing with domestic violence, are able to move on and heal. Stay strong, keep your head up, and make yourself a plan to leave. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
It’s crazy the amount of people who defended this violent troll over a black woman who literally got shot by a grown man. I’ve never seen a domestic dispute where people cancel a victim over a crime that is not only proven, but also completely logical considering his past. And people keep saying it’s the end of her career which sadly might be true cause we live in a backwards society but imagine being thrust into the spotlight right after you lose the only person you had and why you started rapping , your mom, and then being around a bunch of snakes and your sex life outed in front of the world to see for clout whilst in the midst of going to court for being attacked. And I’m sure it wasn’t a good feeling for her to know that she was gonna be locking up a man for a long time but she didn’t have no choice. If Meg didn’t press charges the state would have . She had no control over the outcome or even the investigation. Yeah she lied but I do believe she did out of fear because anything she did or said got back lash. I was even annoyed with her at points even tho I’m always gonna be on her side and the victims side. A recent phone call got leaked pretty much sealing the deal and I still see people refusing to give up their pride and still calling her a liar.
Imagine if your daughter got shot in the foot ? I lost my dad at 20 so I know Megan was extremly lost and just doing everything she was told to do bad influences or not. People don’t know that feeling of not being able to ask your parents for guidance or to just hold your parents for strength , you constantly just gotta think “ what would my mom or dad do” . She was hella young like 22 I believe. Until people have lost a parent they don’t understand how deep it can change you . Meg is a victim legally and figuratively but she’s been treated like a suspect this entire time.
Torey is a felon, torey has attacked people for not shaking his hand, he breaks gun charges , he fights in clubs, he’s very volitile , he is not a good person so why people defend him so heavy is lost upon me . Honestly I believe it’s just out of spite
He should have been deported long ago….you should not be allowed to commit all of these offenses and be able to stay here. You cannot behave like this in any other country and expect to stay there….. and his father can’t even raise his child right like You mean to tell me Tory’s daddy couldn’t rear his own son but wanna blame others for his failure as a father? Mane GTFOH!!!
This is the result of what happens when he had no one in his life to hold him accountable. He also fumbled every opportunity given to him. The shooting was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Now, he’s facing the consequences. And he deserves it.
He has no one to blame but himself if anything Dude's his own worst enemy🤬

Thoughts - House Belois was justified in treason
As much as I think they're annoying and infuriating, I have to admit, in another story, they would have been justified in their attempt at rebellion.
After all, consider this: Trash dad was Akan I's closest associate. Even their wives were close. House Belois was always known to be loyal to the Crown. Unfortunately, Akan I was overthrown by his brother, but he at least was still a member of the imperial family. After this event, House Belois withdrew from most political activities and stayed mostly in the South. Although not as active, he got along well with the Queen's faction enough to send them/Nigelle an invite to Lari's 12th birthday party (the one Rupert ordered Tory to steal).
It's implied that the promise made between Trash dad and the Crazy emperor was something like this: In exchange for keeping the secret of the Emperor's infertility and how Eva is a wiletan spy and wants to escape, the Count will live like a mouse in the South, along with smuggling Lari away, but also on the condition that Eva's child will not inherit the throne.
Ch 72:
Tumblr media
Notice in both timelines, Trash dad was quiet and didn't earnestly make plans for treason until he learned that Rupert would be crown prince/Emperor. In TL1, it wasn't until Rupert became Emperor and soon took Tori as his Empress that Trash dad started acting up: he openly complained about how a commoner was the mother of the nation, but he also knew that the new emperor was also essentially a Wiletan commoner with no speck of Vellnelni blood. He didn't take action because although Rupert was named Crown Prince, the emperor, Arnulf, and Ventibolt was still alive so it wasn't a guarantee that he would become Emperor next.
In TL2, he had a jump-start of 3ish years to plan the treason and was on the lookout for the truth that Lari was correct in that Rupert was actually a male would become CP, and we see the evidence through Lehan: his unusually quick improvements, knightage, promotions, transferred to another location, now part of the army instead of the military (or something like that).
As someone as loyal to the crown and as traditional as House Belois, it is utter madness to allow non-royals to masquerade as the real ones and fool the entire nation. There was no way they could accept that. So of course he had to take action to put Lari back rightfully on the throne. Ventibolt is a coward, Arnulf is weak, but through Lari, House Belois can "set the Vellnelni empire to the right path" again.
(It's also explained in the novel that in hindsight, she's aware that her father loved/idolized/respected Akan I and House Belois so much, and that he only "loved" her as long as she was useful to him with his goals. The moment she cut ties with House Belois, he was ready to abandon her. Gross. This was hinted as early as Ch 54 with the first visit to Aunt Amelia's house where she told Lari that Trash dad didn't love her, he only loved Belois)
It just so happens that in THIS story, it's a story of choices, changes, healing, acceptance, freedom, autonomy etc, so the reader sympathizes with Rupe/Lali so we WANT them to succeed and be happy.
Just thoughts.

Jessica didn’t want anything beautiful but she wanted to destroy beautiful people and she wanted admiration and respect in a community which she did not belong and then of course I’m getting that Jess stuff Jessica there are plenty of people who would kill to have some of the warmth you had as a child you rotten piece of fat trash
Instead, Jessica wants to steal from New Zealand now because she heard that that was a really popular name and she thinks that she has the same way of speaking as me but we actually speak in very different styles and if she were not always up my ass that would also be nice because I don’t need somebody copying me
And no that does not mean that I copy Tori Amos that means go fuck yourself and stay out of my business
The Donnie Darko thing that I killed yesterday? The only thing that is a shame is how stupid some of these people were believing in that nostalgic, sinister nightmare that lie that the Jessica Hunt was supposed to be the beautiful opera singer to show that beauty is only within beauty is an allusion in the first place you dumb pieces of trash. Secondly, Jessica hunt is a talentless Twat twat
Illusion
And apparently she’s also just not very smart, but we knew that that was never a question anybody’s mind because when you’re a star you know you’re a star and then the others copy and pretend to be you like Jessica hunt and debbie Reese daddy you’re going to get killed one day for saying that to the wrong woman and I am the wrong woman to say that to
