This is a unique, and an incredibly huge home for only $274,900. It was built in 1973 in Oklahoma City, OK and has 3bds, 3ba. It's a little weird, but for less than $300K, you can work with it.

The entrance with glass walls is interesting.
Tumblr media
You have to admit it's interesting. I would assume that the rocks on the left are for plants or something.
Tumblr media
There're quite a few mirrors and curves.

Come around and down to the dining room.

The dining room is huge. It has a service window from the kitchen and a bar.

Go up 2 stairs to get to the kitchen, and maybe this area for everyday dining.

Very curvy kitchen.

Venturing in, we note that they took the stove and fridge. The backsplash has a busy pattern and a mirror between the upper cabinets.

You also get a sauna. The unit looks like it's been well-used.

Road Trip AUgust
A Inuyasha, Legend of Zelda, Swtor, World of Warcraft, Wildstar, Urusei Yatsura, and Fairy Tail crossover for @promptsbytaurie event AUgust 2024 day 8 road trip AU, featuring my original characters.
A group of families from New York are on a road trip across the USA. The first stop on the road is Hocking Hills in Ohio, and the families park their RVs at the camp site. The younger children run to play in the playground as their older siblings and parents set up the camp, with Inuyasha, one of the fathers, moving a table with his daughter Moroha as his wife Kagome get the food ready.
At their camp site, Charlotte Hyrule hold her phone up as she try to get a signal and she ask her mother Zelda while her father Link is put the heavy stuff up, "Mom, where can I get a signal for my phone?" and Zelda tell her older daughter, "Charlotte, the whole point of this trip is to not be on your phone." and Charlotte is spechless.
Meanwhile, Charlotte's young sister Sonia check out the camp with sisters Towa and Setsuna. The camp look nice and it has a swimming pool, but some parts of it look a little old.
At the Mirsan family camp site, the twin girls Kin'u and Gyokuto laugh about the green hair boy Kitaro Moroboshi as he try to start a fire for his little sister Nyoko and her best friend Nasha Dragneel. At the table, their younger brother Hisui is playing a card game with Michael Shan, Ash Dorne, Petra Spar, Kevin Piece, Max Revel, Samson Cadera, and Tao Yaza.
At his family RV, Gramakk the orc read a guide on Hocking Hills as his wife Zanawe put their son Kokdutu to bed.
The next day, the families get ready for a day in Hocking Hills, with Juliasa making sure that her teenage daughter is okay and to not act like her father Crual.
On the park, the families travel around the sites and the girls take selfie of themselves in nature.
Back at the campsite, the adults make plans on where to go next and Inuyasha said to them, "Why don't we travel on Route 66?" and the adults look at each other about the idea.
Soon, by the morning light, the RVs travel on the famous Route 66, starting at Chicago, Illinois. The families first explore the famous sites at Chicago for three days before they hit the road again. While traveling in Illinois, they see the Gemini, the town of Springfield, and Dixie Travel Plaza.
The RVs arrived at Missouri, and they see the World's second largest rocking chair in Fannig, Red's Giant Hamburg, 66 Drive-In, and Ted Drewes on their journey.
The RVs arrived at Kansas, where the families visit Baxter Spring Independent Oil and Gas Service station, drive through Rainbow Bridge, and visit Williams' Store as well Kan-O-Tex Service Station.
The RVs arrived at Oklahoma, where the families visit Blue Whale of Catoosa, Pops restaurant, Round barn, Milk Bottle Grocery, Rock Cafe, and Foyil Filling Station.

Parts of the Southern Plains counted the injured and surveyed the damage Monday after tornadoes and other powerful winds swept through, while some Michigan residents faced a fifth consecutive day without power following last week’s ice storm.
In California, the National Weather Service said a series of winter storm systems will continue moving into the state through Wednesday after residents got a brief break from severe weather Sunday.
Parts of the Northeast that have seen little snow this winter were under a winter storm warning. And forecasters warned of continued high winds in parts of the Plains and of thunderstorms and possible tornadoes in the Ohio Valley.
A look at the weather threats around the country:
TORNADO CLEANUP, FORECAST
Police in Norman, Oklahoma, responded Sunday night to storm damage in parts of the city, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) south of Oklahoma City. Officials said there were 12 confirmed weather-related injuries there, none considered critical.
Crews canvassed the damaged area looking for others who might be injured. Possible tornadoes and wind gusts as high as 90 mph (144 kilometers) were reported in Oklahoma, with downed trees and power lines, road closures and damage to homes around Norman and Shawnee.
Frances Tabler, of Norman, told KOCO-TV that she suffered a small cut on her head when a storm hit her home, tearing off much of its roof and sending debris flying. She said it was a miracle her children weren't hurt, although her daughter was trapped for awhile in a bedroom.
“I could hear the wind coming. All of a sudden all the back windows, where the kids bedrooms are, I could hear them just crashing, busting out. And I got up, and then the wind just threw me back, and I’m screaming," Tabler told KOCO. “It was just like a blizzard in the house with all the debris flying. I was screaming for my kids.”
A tornado touched down Sunday near Liberal, Kansas, the weather service said, and more than a dozen homes were reported damaged, according to KSNW-TV. One person had minor injuries, the station said.
There were reports of nine tornadoes in Kansas, Oklahoma and northwestern Texas, said Bob Oravec, a lead forecaster for the weather service. Weather service teams planned to survey storm damage Monday to determine the strength of the tornadoes.
The severe weather threat remained Monday, with thunderstorms expected to produce damaging gusts across the Ohio Valley, according to the Storm Prediction Center. At least a few tornadoes are were possible, especially across Ohio on Monday afternoon, the center said. The weather service forecast strong winds Monday in Kansas and Missouri, with gusts topping 60 mph (96 kph).

Day 17, Monday, June 12: OKC to Kingfisher to Seiling to Woodward to Laverne, Oklahoma to the border and Englewood to Minneola to Dodge City to Cimarron to Garden City, Kansas. 492 km.
Oklahoma City is the capital of the state of Oklahoma and is known for its cowboy culture, surrounding working oil wells, and the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P.Murrah Federal Building. With a population of 687,725, it is one of my bigger stops.
It's raining when I wake up. I dress for, and pack the bike in, the wet. I ask Garmin for an "avoid freeways" route and end up heading north from OKC on US 4 to Kingfisher. The sky is dark as far as I can see, and it's coming down pretty heavily as I turn west on US 33 toward Seiling. Once free of OKC and its interminable stop lights, the roads are clear, and the great plains are long and scenic in their red and green.
I ride for about 160 km and spot a small cafe in Seiling - The Crooked Arrow - and decide to pull in and warm up. I end up eating breakfast with a bunch of locals who explain to me all about farming in Oklahoma.
I asked them what happened to Oklahoma after the dust bowls of the 30s. Apparently as part of the New Deal, Roosevelt's Farm Security Administration provided emergency relief, promoted soil conservation, resettled farmers on more productive land, and aided migrant farm workers who had been forced off their land. The Soil Conservation Service helped farmers enrich their soil and stem erosion by planting trees. It shows, Oklahoma has a lot of trees.
After breakfast, I continue north west on US 183 to Woodward, where I spot a Sonic drive-in restaurant. I stop, take a photo, and since it's stopped raining, strip off my rain gear. The cloud cover persists, but the rain stops. What a difference. Seat and handle grip warmers off, rid of the layers, and visor open, I can feel the sun and wind in my face and hear the sound of the bike in my ears again.
At US 283, I turn north to Lavern, my last call before the Kansas border. I love the grand entrance to this small town of less than 1,200 and stop for a photo.
Back on the bike, I continue north to the border and stop for the obligatory photo of me and the "Welcome to Kansas" sign.
The first town I see is Englewood. A former railroad junction it has fallen to a population of 24. It shows. I take a few photos and push on to Minneola. On the way, I encounter the Big Basin Prairie Reserve, which is a sink hole in the middle of the prairie about a mile wide and 100 feet deep. It was formed thousands of years ago by the dissolving and collapse of gypsum and salt formations hundreds of feet beneath the surface. I took a video of half of it to remember it by.
I gas up in Minneola with about half a liter left in my tank and head north to Dodge City. Yep, that one, although (don't tell anybody), the actual Gunsmoke show, which ran from 1955-1975, was filmed in Utah.
"Getting out of Dodge," I head west on US 400. By now, it's raining again, so I pull over in Cimarron and kit up for the balance of the journey to Garden City. I arrive mid afternoon, which I like as it gives me a chance to unpack, rest, maybe go for a swim, and dinner, then work on my blog and my emails at a leisurely pace.
As I sit here writing, it is pi**ing outside, and it's supposed to be wet all the way to Nebraska tomorrow. I'm too tired to care. I'll make my wardrobe decisions in the morning. I'm going to take another look at that picture I took of a dead tree and go to bed.

When to Schedule Tree Trimming in Oklahoma City for Optimal Results
As a responsible homeowner, you understand the value of maintaining attractive, healthy trees on your property. Not only do trees enhance your home's curb appeal, but they also provide shade, improve air quality, and boost property values. However, keeping your trees in top condition requires more than just occasional watering – it demands proper tree trimming at the right times. In this blog post, we'll explore when to schedule tree trimming in Oklahoma City for optimal results, ensuring your trees thrive for years to come.
Tree trimming Oklahoma City homeowners requires expert timing and technique. When scheduled correctly, professional trimming services promote vigorous growth, structural integrity, and aesthetic beauty for your landscape trees. However, improper pruning can severely damage or even kill a tree over time.
When to Schedule Tree Trimming in Oklahoma City for Optimal Results
The Importance of Proper Timing
Knowing the best time to schedule tree trimming in Oklahoma City is crucial for maximizing your trees' health and aesthetics. Improperly timed trimming can lead to excessive stress, compromised structure, or permanent damage. That's why the certified arborists at Elion Landscape LLC carefully consider seasonal factors when providing top-notch tree trimming that Oklahoma City homeowners rely on.
Late Winter Pruning
In Oklahoma City's climate, late winter (February to early March) offers an ideal window for trimming deciduous trees that have shed their leaves. Arborists can see the underlying branch structure with the tree dormant and make precise cuts. Plus, those cuts have ample time to heal before spring growth emerges.
Late winter pruning stimulates vigorous new growth in spring while removing dead, diseased, or overgrown limbs. It's perfect for shaping ornamental trees like crape myrtles, promoting gorgeous flower blooms come spring. For the trees giving fruit, this dormant season trim enhances next year's yield by removing crowded or crossed branches that block sunlight.
Summer Trimming for Safety
On the other hand, certain trimming tasks are better suited for Oklahoma's hot summer months. This includes the removal of wayward branches that pose safety hazards by resting on roofs, blocking signage, or hanging over walkways.
Removing these potential hazards prevents damage from high winds or ice storms later in the year. It also allows more sunlight to reach your lawn, reducing shady patches prone to disease and fungus growth. Summer trimming opens up better sight lines too, creating enhanced curb appeal.
Mitigating Storm Damage
Unfortunately, Oklahoma's turbulent storm seasons sometimes necessitate emergency tree trimming anytime between spring and fall. High winds and hail can batter even healthy trees, leaving behind cracked, hanging limbs. These destabilized branches present serious dangers that demand immediate professional attention.
After severe weather strikes, the team at Elion Landscape LLC promptly responds to trim away broken boughs. Their careful pruning techniques mitigate further splitting while preserving the tree's structural integrity long-term. Prompt storm damage trimming protects your property from harm while preventing future hazards.
Avoiding Rookie Mistakes
While some homeowners attempt amateur pruning to save money, this unwise approach often backfires in destructive ways. Improper trimming cuts like flush cuts, stub cuts, and topping can permanently injure or even kill your trees over time. They also create entry points for pests and diseases.
In contrast, professional arborists at Elion Landscape LLC utilize tried-and-true trimming techniques appropriate for each species. Their strategic pruning promotes healthy growth patterns, improves airflow, and enhances a tree's natural form and structural integrity.
The Optimal Timing
Ultimately, balancing all the key considerations like species, age, and pruning objectives determines the best time for tree trimming in Oklahoma City. That's why the experts at Elion Landscape LLC begin with a comprehensive evaluation of your landscape. Armed with that data, they develop a customized plan to keep your trees attractive, healthy, and safe year-round.
By strategically timing each service, they deliver optimal results tailored to your property's unique needs. Ready for professional tree trimming Oklahoma City homeowners trust? Visit https://elionlandscapellc.com/services/ today to request an estimate.

My name is Dean Johnson. I am from Altus, Oklahoma. I accidentally fell into the passion for hotels because of HHM. I was scouted by my local Chamber of Commerce for the Sales Manager position at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Altus in 2013. I started in SELECT SERVICE hotels. After 9 months I was promoted to AGM to learn the operational duties, then quickly to the GM position when the GM left. I stayed heavily involved with sales, as a good GM should. The sales world had opened my eyes to possibilities, so I started looking for jobs in Dallas. ***Top accounts: Army National Guard, Wright Tree Service***Gorilla tacticts
Unfortunately HHM didn't have any Dallas hotels at the time, so I started working with my former GM from HHM as the Complex Front Office Manager for Courtyard Marriott Dallas Market Center and Fairfield Inn & Suites Dallas Market Center with Crestline Hotels & Resorts. I spent 8-9 months in that position before being selected to our sole Complex Sales Manager by our new General Manager who helped mentor me for the role. **Most successful at Greyhound Account & MARYKAY lady with organic chicken**Delt with a variety of business, but focused on BT***General Dynamics, IBM, AT&T, PepsiCo, Dallas Market Center***Overflow hotel for the Hilton Antole as closest 2. Went through renovation during this time.***
I learned from some very talented people during this time, so when the Regional DOS for the new Courtyard Dallas Downtown reached out to me on LinkedIn I jumped at the opportunity to become a DOS and open a brand new hotel in the middle of the convention district and Central Business District. We grossed over $1.5M in future business with the sales team that I was able to select from my network in DFW. The hotel was sold shortly after to Island, and the DOS & GM were replaced with senior members of their team. **Most successful at gaining Dallas CVB/Visit Dallas to host annual meeting in our 6,000 Sq ft rooftop ballroom. **Also secured American Thoracic Surgeons convention business***Work with Marriott Sales Team and Opening Team to get BT business**City Electric, AT&T, Deloitte **Created event menu with Director of F&B
After this I walked into the SpringHill Suites Dallas Park Central and asked if they needed a DOS. I was on the job in less than a week and was able to assist the regional team to open the hotel. The opening was successful in a much calmer area of the city. I worked with local hospitals, school district, and North Park mall for training teams. ***Shifting business from lower rated hotels in area such as Hyatt, overflow for CY&RI, Hilton Home2, Hampton***Small management company had no true sales goals. Opening was delayed many times after announcing. Moe Hospitality
A friend of mine who had opened as the Director of Sales at the Element Dallas Downtown just after I had opened the Courtyard Downtown reached out to me and let me know she was leaving and had given my name to her Regional DOS as her selected choice for someone to take over her role. I took the role just months before March 2020!! COVID-19 moved the hotel from sell out 3 times a week to 10% occupancy filled by Baylor Hospital traveling nurses. Layoffs hit the sales team. I helped with operations as long as they allowed me to with the salary. Lost $200,000k in one day on March 12-13. Cried at my desk. Atlantic Hotels & Resorts
Went into Real Estate as a leasing agent in Dallas. Assisted people renting/leasing apartments, condos, homes to repair their credit and work to buy first homes. Worked as a referral agent with Ebby Haliday & Century 21 Fine Homes & Estates.
Worked with Island and Highgate during the pandemic openings in operations with my former GM from CY/FF Market Center who was the Area Managing Director for Highgate. Then took seasonal full time work with Delta Airlines as a Customer Engagement Specialist before being asked to GM the Residence Inn OKC South for Highgate, a hotel is very bad shape. Opened the hotel, opened the meeting room, secured traveling nurses, worked with local Chamber of Commerce. Due to medical problems that have been resolved left and lived with family and became the AGM/GM of a restaurant in my home town.
