Been getting into Don't Starve again lately, an old interest of mine. So naturally you know I had to draw my current favorite character in the art style

Just for fun, below are some thoughts on how I imagine his character would work:

Chip's perks would share a lot of similarities to Woodie's. Unlimited fast axe use and his version of the Were-curse, the Override. He doesn't need a tool to chop trees however, since he literally comes with a built-in saw, so it essentially doubles as a free axe + free item slot

Chip would have high health and hunger (200 for each) but low sanity (100). Dropping below 50 sanity would cause him to Override, where he deals much higher damage to enemies. The trade-off is that his sanity and hunger deplete faster while in this form, so if you're fighting a boss, there's a good chance Chip will simultaneously be fighting his demons (just like Chip in his source material!!!)

The only ways to get him out of Override would be to either raise your sanity or take enough damage.

Sometimes you find a MOB that is so useful, you can't bring yourself to kill it for resources. Which is why I have Fred the Treeguard. We WERE gonna kill him with Abigail for living wood, but he kept killing Tall Birds and other enemies. So I grew a form of attachment and just....can't... So unless something else kills him, Fred is off limits.

White Lily could only give a soft but neutral expression to the silver knight, before letting out a deep sigh when Mercurial Knight moved past her. She wasn't stupid with how the knight felt about her; knowing that the knight did not like her from simply how he interacted with her (and how cookies from the past interacted with her.)

And who could blame him? No one ever liked her (besides Pure Vanilla whom could not hold any hatred towards her). As such, she was just merely on the mission that was given to her by the Late Elder Faerie...

Regardless of how everyone felt about her.

Shadows (softcore eldritch horror) for WIP Wednesday, please!

When she looks down on her hands again, they don’t look like they belong to a fifteen-year-old human girl. And that’s accurate. She isn’t one. She hasn’t been one for many, many years. She just forgets that sometimes. That’s why she messes up.

She’s going to do a better job remembering, from now on.

Angel blinks, and the dusty throne room falls away like a faded backdrop on a theater stage. The forest springs up around her, dark greens painted with charcoal streaks of the encroaching dusk. A bloodied human body lies at her feet. A looming creature of tree bark and anger towers over it.

The awakened tree snarls and swipes at her. Its bloodstained claws pass through her without leaving a trace.

Angel narrows her eyes and raises a hand.

oh yeah, had a dream that i got access to like a super early beta demo of a gen10 pokemon game. the New Battle Gimmick Bracelet was seafoam green like the pokemon home strange ball, but i couldn't tell you what the actual gimmick was lol.

i do remember finding a shiny bellsprout-like thing (regional form/fake?) and i think it was already affected by the gimmick, kinda like the static tera pokemon in sc/vi. but it added so many visual effects to the beginning of the encounter that it took almost the entire 30 seconds of a switch clip to record from the start of the encounter to the shiny sparkles lmao
