So nobody asked for this but According to the dialogue So FAR Howdy has 6-7 siblings, one Aunt, and maybe a cousin -Drew is a maybe because he said "Her (Sue's) brother" and not "Our Brother" like he tend to do with the rest. -The same thing with Henry. Henry is "Barley's cousin" not "Our Cousin" -Barley is either listed as both a brother AND a cousin OR there is two "Barley"s in the family -His father was mentioned, but we don't have a name yet Also "Wooly" Aunt Molly I think could be a Moth, since moths are very fluffy, and she seems to be an obscure relative I also think that there is a possibility that the entire family is grown into butterflies, while Howdy remains a caterpillar, although he is fully grown as well. But that's just my little thoughts BUT anyways, these are just silly observations and I hope we get to hear more about his family!!! Transcript of the OG conversation below:

Fantasy of the day is... it's hard to describe. "Slippin' Kimmy" is supposed to continue Breaking Bad's trend of hyperstylization, and because of that I do want to get more experimental with the visuals. I plan to watch more classic 70's horror to develop a cohesive aesthetic for the series.

So I have this scene in my head... the Church Playhouse is supposed to be a major location this season; we don't see any performances actually staged while Kim is working with Dawson, we are left to infer things based on the thespians' personalities when they're otherwise supporting the church. But everything about this story - Dawson, Mary, Peter, the universe as a whole - is pushing Kim to perform, to act, to make a difficult choice. Trolley problems are a major theme of this character arc. And because of that, I have this image in my head of Rhea stumbling perilously close to the edge of the stage and just barely managing to catch her balance on the precipice. This would be a wide-angle shot, everything except her would fade into the darkness, and the camera would dolly backwards at a whiplash speed - flying really - until Kim is just consumed/surrounded by this wider stage. Maybe eyes/lights/stars begin to freckle the darkness, right before the episode cuts to end credits.

“Drop It!”

“Drop it!” the blonde haired, blue eyed British Airways stewardess said to me with an incongruous smile on her face, although there was no mistaking the authoritative tone in her voice. I blinked in surprise at her reaction. I had objected to being stopped yet again for a bag search and was darned if a mere trolley dolly was going to join in my embarrassment. I had pulled out a small pocket knife without thinking and waved it wildly in the slim skirted woman’s direction. “I just want to get on my flight, b***h!” I raged at her. “Now get out of my way!” Her bag slipped off her shoukder as she bent her knees and went into a slight crouching position, although her hands continued to reach out to me, palm first. “Now don’t be silly, sir,” she told me softly as other passengers stood and stared, her smile intact, “please put the knife down.”

There was then a good five minute stand off, as I stood knife in hand facing the tall, uniformed Nordic beauty who held out her hand to me expectantly. “This is no way to catch your flight, sir,” she told me. Finally, as the watching group of people sighed collectively, I handed by knife to the stewardess, handle first, with a surly groan of frustration and surrendered. As she received it her eyes met mine, a sparkling look of relief, gratitude and undoubted triumph, in them. Later, she tied my hands behind my back while phone cameras clicked, YouTube videos were uploaded and female police officers appeared in the corner of my eye. “I was only asking to see your boarding pass, sir,” the blonde amazon told me as she tightened the the knots of her neck scarf around my wrists, “but I’m afraid you won’t be travelling today!” I just closed my eyes in despair at my own stupidity.

Last few days: I was getting a bit anxious, stressed about my budget.

Mostly because lately the SSA's been giving my deposit earlier than I expect. But hey, I payed off that printer and trolley dolly (so I can get more groceries via busing - it's been so helpful) I ordered back in January that I had to finance for.

Basically, as soon as I saw that damn deposit I was like, "Okay, I'm just going to pay these things off now, so I don't have to worry about that later."

Brain's clearing up even more and been chipping away at this Begotten!AU fic some more.

-hmm.... i think lily has given up wishing. she doesn't do wishes anymore, besides "i hope we still have garlic powder in the kitchen cabinet", "i wish there was a choral cover of my favorite song on youtube already"... there's a deep-rooted desire in her for security and safety and stability, and she's always grasping for that. (and yet, at the same time, she can't ever trust it when it's right in front of her. you know how it is)

-amy's greatest wish WAS to leave kamabo with all her memories intact, and she has, to the best of her ability! nowadays she wants to experience the whole world and love all of it, decide what she doesn't love, and she wants her own opinions and as many real experiences as she can make. it's more of a goal than a wish but she makes it work

🌏 EARTH - will they give up the world for someone they love? is this decision easy for them?

-lily already shares her world with those close to her. if she were ever in a position to lobby the stake of the actual world for someone in danger, she'd act rashly and try to protect/avenge the loved one when she sees the opportunity. i wrote this after writing the trolley problem answer and i think it's funny that theyre so similar

-amy gave up her world for someone she loved. and i think she would do it again. that counts, right?

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

-ramen water (the name and general concept) has been in my head since january + when i was vaguely thinking about splat 3. it's my sworn duty to put a character in a situation! here's some fun stuff about his name though

(after that ramen water became a subtle nod to him being 25% japanese. oops!)

-lily and sunny appeared out of the ether when i first started getting into splatoon; there are vague agent 3 headcanons on my blog that pre-date them being around as characters, but lily, sunny, and amy kind of manifested with each other. sunny's squee-g phobia was one of the first things i decided about him, and there were running jokes about amy being like a vsco girl because that stereotype (?) was popular at school at the time. lily's always been lily..... i remember associating her with the corocoro shirt since forever ago, so that must have been one of her first design choices :]

interesting fact about lily is that i used to be adamant that she not have post-sanitization heterochromia, and then forgot. so when i retconned that, her right eye color fades back to blue over time as the sanitation in her system flushes out

-atlas was created for the express purpose of a now-disbanded agent trio, and the first things in existence about them were their name (it was one i was considering when i was transitioning) and them being a little brat. they're awful by design. also the acne, that was very important to me

-dolly was first inspired by buds of mine who were interested in a zine about splatoon ost gijinkas, so she was first and foremost a gijinka of #14 crush. and i wasn't originally interested in making a song oc of my own UNTIL she came to me unprompted during a road trip! showing up loud and unannounced. dollycore

her character development arcs came later. after touching base with an oc or two who weren't mine, and creating this whole "hypothetical, of course" offshoot of their original dynamics

-that kinda happened for sunny.... she was assigned to a task that was too much for her at the time, but she didn't know it, and then misinterpreted her companions' cries to retreat as an indicator she wasn't doing enough. so ig the answer is that it depends on circumstance, but it's her own overconfidence that gets the better of her

-it's a tough one for isaiah because i don't think he's been in actual, real danger yet. i'm hesitant to put a 15-year old through anything like that*, but i think i'll have a better answer for this once splat3 comes around; im planning to make him a major player there

A male stripper will be hosting a children’s event at a museum in Scotland, prompting concern from parents as debates around child safeguarding continue to get more heated.

The Stirling Smith Museum and Art Gallery in Stirling, Scotland has announced a “sing-along cabaret” targeted at children under the age 12. But the show, which promises “mesmerizing storytelling” and fun-filled Disney tunes, is being hosted by a performer who is usually seen at venues that are anything but child-friendly. 

Under the ABC, set to be held on October 14, is being presented by Tom Harlow — a male burlesque dancer and stripper. The Stirling’s website states Harlow will appear as a “not so little mermaid” and sing for children as well as read them “alternative and empowering fairytales.”

Under the ABC is Harlow’s own production, having created it in 2019 under the moniker Mermaid Tom. That year, he performed at The Savings Bank in Glasgow for children under the age of 10. In 2020, the event was online-only due to the COVID-19 lockdowns, but in 2021 The Stirling retained Harlow as part of a summer lineup during their August Family Garden Party.

In the past, Harlow has presented his Under the ABC production as being co-hosted by the “Salty Sea Men,” even in the events aimed at children.

Harlow advertises his “Mermaid Tom” character on his website as being available for birthday parties and other events. His costume is often comprised of a mermaid tail and bare chest, with his nipples being covered by glittery pasties. In the last iteration of Under the ABC, Harlow included a bra as part of the outfit.

Also on his website are his adult characters and performances. Among them are “Brony,” a fetishized take on a My Little Pony character Harlow describes as “very dirty,” and “Woof!” — a leather-puppy inspired BDSM striptease.

In another act, titled “Man’s World,” Harlow describes his performance as an “intoxicating blend of glamour and filth, sleaze and classic striptease that will leave you slack jawed, weak at the knees and yelling MORE PLEASE!”

Many of the videos on Harlow’s website are age-restricted and require viewers to log-in to their YouTube accounts to verify they are over 18 before being allowed to watch.

Since word of Harlow’s performance at The Stirling has begun to circulate, some organizations have tried to get the show cancelled citing safeguarding concerns.

UFT Scotland, which was created at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in response to school closures, was first to have drawn attention to Harlow’s show last week on social media.

On Twitter, the group revealed that parents who had tried to voice their concerns about the event on The Stirling’s Facebook page had their comments quickly deleted. They added that the museum had been dismissing critical comments as “bots.”

“Tom Harlow is a sex performer with easily accessible, highly sexually explicit online content. The Smith Museum is platforming this sex performer with his “not so little merman” innuendo show to children. Children will look him up online. This is a safeguarding issue,” UFT Scotland tweeted yesterday.

In response to UFT’s vocal campaign to have the show cancelled, Harlow has been encouraging his Instagram followers to mass-report their Facebook page, which has over 14,000 members. 

“Merman Tom was created to bring joy with singing and simple storytelling to children, and they are trying to ruin it and it honestly breaks my heart. I put a lot of myself into what I create and to see people twisting it like this cuts deep,” Harlow wrote in the Instagram call-to-action.

This is far from the first time an adult performer has been invited to host a children’s event in the United Kingdom.

On February 22, Hollymount Primary School in South London hosted drag queen Dolly Trolley as part of its diversity week events. 

Parents were not informed the drag queen would be coming to the school, but after news broke it quickly became known that Trolley was also a burlesque performer whose acts were often x-rated.

“Really?” She knows her sister likes the dollies more.

“Okay, here you can have the bus.” She pushes it and several others over. Fergus is filled with pride. What awesome role models they will be for James and the coming twins.
