The feeling of joy is, perhaps, like a speck of gold, glimmering faintly at the bottom of a river of grief.

Forgot to mention again that I started an anime, and I even finished it Saturday! X,D
This anime was
The Moon Is Beautiful
Ngl, if I’m being honest, it wasn’t the best, the story felt rushed in areas, and some things came out of no where, all the characters were pretty bland too! X,3
So definitely low on the scale!
The story had potential, it just was done so poorly!! The main couple were cute and all, but again, definitely could’ve been better! X,3
Maybe the light novel does better, but the anime is more or less a mess!
Anyways, I don’t have any favs, so I guess my icon will be the main two! X3
So yeah, break week! Bye!! Love y’all!

Hoo boy, I had to take a break from Higurashi and watch something sweet - Tsuki ga kirei(which translates to "The moon is pretty"). I didn't realize how f----- up some anime shows(or movies) can be. Higurashi was dark. I was watching the newer version, btw. There were scenes that were quite disturbing and it does get emotionally intense. I read about disturbing scenes from the original 2006 series and I don't think I want to check that out. I started watching Higurashi a couple weeks ago as I wanted to explore the horror genre for Halloween.
I looked up other disturbing animes out there and from what I heard, there are a good handful. There was this one movie from the early 90s and it looked grotesque and nasty. There is a spectrum ranging from diabetes-causing, saccharine, fluffy, cutesy af to WTF?!!?? HOLY F****** S***!!!
