Honda Civic 1.5 VTEC Turbo Review – Honda Civic’s first spacecraft generation lasted seven years and the 2012 model is already being reloaded. The new Civic has been sharpened on all fronts.
The brand new Civic is not a finger exercise in design evolution; he looks very different from his predecessor. The stretched lines are due to the combination of slightly increased length, a decreased height and a much more flat C-style. The test car is equipped with a sports package. This is recognized by all kinds of black body attributes and a centralized double exhaust.

Impressive
The main subcutaneous news is the application of turbotechnics across the entire range. The instep is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder with 130 hp. We drive the 182 hp and 240 Nm strong Civic with 1.5-liter four-cylinder. It has a very different character than we are used to from Honda’s petrol engines. Normally these are typical tour machines that require a lot of switching work. The new Civic, however, makes it possible to drive a lot of switchgear. That’s almost unfortunate, because the six-pack is a gem of precise ministry.
The turbomotor is keen on the gas and constantly asks for more than 4500 rpm. The hundred print requires only 7.5 seconds of your time. In normal driving behavior, Honda promises an average consumption of 6.0 liters per 100 kilometers (1: 16.7).

All-round The direct and precise control is a pleasure on curvy stretches, where the new multilink rear suspension also makes a big difference. It makes the Civic a versatile car. In one moment you can still travel by city traffic and stop the largest luggage room in this class (478 liters) full of groceries, the next moment you turn from the bend to the bend in the Ardennes.
The dashboard has become calmer and clearer. The backspace main compartment is still ok despite the lower roof line, and the extended wheelbase makes the legroom good. Due to the changed placement of the fuel tanks, the famous ‘magic seats’ have been removed. There is thus an end to the problem-free transport of large standing plants.
Every Civic has standard Honda Sensing on board. This includes various safety systems, including an active brake system, a rail assistant, road signaling and adaptive cruise control. In addition, there is a large, built-in touchscreen with all modern connectivity gadgets on board. The starting price of the Civic 1.0 is 24,700 euros, the cheapest four-cylinder Civic costs 34.140 euros. These are sturdy amounts.
