Twin-Plug 1970 Porsche 911T Coupe Race Car - The 2.0L flat-six has an aluminum case has been modified with twin-plug cylinder heads, a polished crankshaft, JE forged pistons with a 10.5:1 compression ratio, CP-Carrillo rods, MSD ignition, and dual 46mm PMO carburetors with Pipercross air filters. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 901 five-speed manual transaxle with a reverse and first gear lockout.

Dyno-testing the SE. Values shown are rear wheel figures, i.e., for values at the crank I was told to add +10%. (That would be about 123 hp and 100 Nm at the crank - with nominal values given by Triumph with 132 hp and 105 Nm). While this is abundandly sufficient to get your licence into trouble, the inner petrol head is puzzled:

At 5630 km a dynotest done on the same machine showed 127,7 hp @ rear wheel: this was prior to the „DLC debacle“, where a DLC-coating process gone wrong required a camshaft to be replaced. All following up dynojet measurements gave less than the initial hp figures. I still wonder if the camshaft that had to be replaced was rather one of a Sprint ST 1050 motor? (Triumph Sprint 1050 St nominal: 125 hp at the crank)

A following up test of the orange 1050 Speed Triple should show possible differences to the original state of the engine. (Same year of build, same original exhaust+Pipercross airfilter, the engine with all parts original.)
