I decided to make a handmade, personalised handkerchief for my Shen Wei fill for Guardian bingo.
Is it red because he decided to invest in some handkerchiefs he didn't need to worry about getting blood stains out of or because he got a personalised one made for his wedding? You decide!
沈 is green because of where he picked up that name in the novel :')
嵬 is in black whereas Kunlun's 'added strokes' are dark blue to match drama!Kunlun's robes.

Kunlun fill for Guardian bingo.
The designs on Kunlun's hair beads are inspired by @cross-d-a's brilliant fic 'a token of devotion' which I highly recommend you all read <3
The beads are lovely, exquisite little things. When Fu You had first dropped them into his cupped hands with a quiet clatter, Yunlan had almost protested. They were too much for him. Too precious. Surely he’d lose them, wreck them.  It was clear someone put a lot of love and care into making each one. Surely they’d spent hours bringing strings of mountains and animals to life upon those tiny metal bodies. There was a fox here, a bear there. Entwined birds. Leaping fish. Curling dragons and rolling hills. Some were spiraled with leaves, others with delicate letters Yunlan could not read.

The wonderful Guardian Bingo Fest mods put 'lollipops' on my card and my brain went 'ah yes let's be as weird as possible about this'.

Bonus photo for anyone risking pressing on a read more on one of my posts. You're safe from me rambling for once.
Zhao Yunlan has company now! ☺️

Guardian Bingo Fest fill for the 'promise' prompt on my card.
Based on subs by Kayoku and Solo
I might actually be able to stop inflicting my episode 40 feelings on everyone now I won't need to keep checking it for references. This took 3 months between my bouts of doubt and the general headache of sewing on organza and damn spandex. (don't buy fabric online when the description is vague as to the actual material it's made of just because the design is what you want kids!) The spandex in particular was horrific, -10/10, do Not recommend. I had to write the text on the back so I could actually see it and then sew the other side, not a challenge I'm in a rush to repeat. If you see any stray threads/damaged organza... no, you don't.

Guardian Bingo Fest fill for the prompt 'Fluff'.
It was always going to be my beloved Da Qing <3
I have never attempted needle felting before just in case that isn't glaringly obvious and clearly have a very long way to go but it was fun! I didn't realise the wool would be so bad at shedding but I guess that makes it an even more perfect medium to make a cat out of. Stabbing things is very therapeutic, even if sometimes the thing getting stabbed is my fingers. The light in this house is awful but I'm impatient so photos out in the snow it is. Fourth photo is purely to show off the 3dness of the piece because I love it, the ears!!

I have the feeling the @guardianbingo coordinators weren't hoping for 'Zhao Yunlan accepting his fate' fills when they decided on acceptance for the May bonus prompt but here I am... *hides*

"Personally if you felted a big fluffy hedge and had some glasses on the ground by it and his twinky limbs sticking out I'd be into it" - @blackswan-wildgeese
Guardian Bingo Fest's bonus prompt for March is 'Take A Leap' and I'm swapping my B5 'fake dating' prompt for this.
Despite several suggestions of various people being yeeted from various places "Professor Shen being yote off that roof" was the one that truly spoke to my permanently unserious soul. And this is why you should have friends that encourage your interest in crafting being used for shitpostesque purposes. I have spent half the time making this cackling to myself and if that's not a sign I made the right decision, I don't know what is.
The design changed and got slightly more complicated because what if Shen Wei had had to commit to his lie so much that we got a very different shot than what we actually got:

Proportions and perspective are definitely way out but oh well. :D

The Chief & His Deputy
My fill for the July bonus prompt of 'Animal Transformations' is inspired by @elenothar's delightful fic Find Your Bearings which is part of their no end to the bears series.
Find Your Bearings Zhao Yunlan gets turned into a bear. This was always going to end up as Shen Wei's problem. Rated: Teen Words: 2,647
If you haven't already read this series please please please go check it out. (And if you have read it, well, I will gladly encourage you to read it again).
