Mais ouin, Daryl a fait un bracelet d'amitié à Carol

I have a question when Carol came back from her trip after Henry died, she and Daryl sat together and talked, and Daryl was talking about going to New Mexico. The way he spoke caught my attention, why was he talking about New Mexico in particular? Could this be about Beth? I don't really know if my question is good for you but I wanted to say it in hopes of getting an answer.
Yeah, for sure! We actually discussed this a lot back when 10x01 aired. We still don't know precisely what it refers to, but I think there's a good chance it's about Beth, or at least in some way about her arc and/or the CRM, which will lead to her.
I mean, even if they haven't done it yet, they (meaning Daryl and Carol) were talking about getting on his bike and leaving together, right? That's a huge clue right there. When they went searching for Beth in S5, they left in a vehicle together. The episode Find Me, which was about his relationship with Leah but had TONS of Beth symbolism and parallels, started with Daryl and Carol leaving on his bike together. They're always both involved where Beth or Beth symbolism is concerned. Which is why I think the New Mexico stuff is linked to Beth. They were tying it to the two of them leaving in/on a vehicle together.
And of course, "New Mexico" is just too specific to NOT have some sort of meaning attached to it. I'm sure we'll understand it eventually. They just haven't paid it off, yet, that we're aware of.
Below, I've linked some posts I made about 10x01 back in the day. They have some of our thoughts about the New Mexico symbolism in them.
Hope that helps. Xoxo! 🌺💕
