Technically, the majority got it right.
I’m very excited for the Madney Wedding. I’ve been imagining storylines that can come from this wedding, but I realized the story lines would depend on when in the season the wedding takes place.

I liked yesterday’s episode. It wasn’t nearly as exciting as last week’s episode, but I still enjoyed it.
I loved Hen’s storyline specifically. It really carried the episode, I’m not a fan of the dog rescue and trying to connect that to her new adopted daughter, but I’ll forgive the writers because the over all storyline had me tear up.
Buck’s storyline was really cute and awkward and a bit cringey, but that’s what I expected and that’s what I loved about it. I think we all go through an Ally phase before coming out.
I was not expecting Eddie’s Catholic guilt to be a focus this episode. Honestly a storyline like that I expected we’d get in season 8, but I love that we are starting to acknowledge it. I am not a fan of the amount of Marisol we had, but it was so unserious that I can just laugh at the whole thing.
I can’t believe we are getting the wedding in the middle of the season. Maddie looks so beautiful. Hen looks amazing. Then we have the two idiots coming in looking crazy and losing the groom. Poor Maddie and Chimney can’t catch a break.
I’m using the two week hiatus to finish posting my notes on season 5 and 6. I still won’t do a breakdown of season 7, I’m leaving that for when we have to wait on season 8.

I haven’t felt normal since Buck became a boy kisser. Every thing feels brighter. I’ve been in an amazing mood ever since, honestly feeling like I haven’t stopped smiling since.

Can we talk about how Chimney and Maddie obviously have had a discussion about Buck and Eddie’s relationship. They obviously ship the two of them. Maddie’s comment about the heart on Eddie’s calendar. Chim’s “basketball beard” comment at the basketball court. They are just waiting for these lovable idiots to figure it out themselves.

Okay some time has passed. We’ve calmed down a little bit. Can we talk about how Eddie has likely had some very charged moments with Tommy in the two weeks they’ve hung out.
I mean Eddie admitted to wrestling with him. Eddie’s likely in the middle of his gay awakening and will likely only process after being told by someone else that he obviously has feelings for his best friend.

So my personal head canon of Buck already knowing he was Bisexual was thrown out the window today. I’m not mad about it, because that was the safest choice for the writers to go with and I’m happy they threw us a curve ball.
I’m extremely happy to be surprised. All the teasing thru out the episode had me thinking we wouldn’t get real action until the next episode. I’m indifferent about Tommy, but I will admit the kiss was hot. We all know this will eventually lead to Buddie canon. It’ll likely happen in Season 8 though.
I’m so excited!

The way I reacted to this kiss! Y’all really don’t want to see how I react to a Buck and Eddie kiss!!!! I’m going to assume Buddie canon season 8!

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I really dislike the fact that we are getting more than one sneak peek of today’s episode. It’s not as bad as last season, but the whole thing just feels like spoilers. It’s one thing to maybe release one scene, but sometimes it feels like I watched the episode before it aired.
I do my best to avoid the previews, but sometimes it’s hard to do.

911 Spoilers Season 5: You’ve been warned. 😅 Buddie Rewatch
Episode 2: Desperate Times
Helicopter Organ Rescue- The 118 are standing on the ground looking up at the helicopter. Eddie is the one to point out the helicopter is being help up because of washing cables, but that the cables are giving out.
Bobby is screaming out to Chim that what they need for this rescue and Buck screams back, confirming that they aren’t going to be waiting for all the supplies to start this rescue. Bobby confirms they aren’t waiting and sends Hen and Buck to check the cabin. While Eddie and Bobby enter the helicopter. The call out doesn’t end up matching what actually happens.
I think the writers or maybe director realized it made more sense for the man with military training and whose been in a helicopter before be the one to turn off the helicopter. If I remember correctly, Eddie was also the one to turn off the helicopter in Taylor’s rescue from Season 2 (I love that I can just go back to my notes to confirm stuff like this.)
Instead, Eddie is the first one in the helicopter with a fire extinguisher, taming any flames inside, Hen enters behind and starts to examine one of the victims. Eddie is also pressing buttons and flipping switches, turning off the helicopter.
As the helicopter is shutting off, the helicopter is shifting away from the building. Buck and Bobby hold on to the helicopter, trying to keep it from falling, Eddie catches himself and stops himself from flying out of the helicopter.
Buck pulls the pilot out and Eddie and Hen are still inside trying to help the other victim. Chim passes down the back board. Buck is standing on the roof and helicopter, acting similarly to a bridge, helping pass items back and forth.
As soon as the last victim is out, the helicopter shifts again, Eddie almost flying out for a second time, catches himself. As the helicopter settles, Hen climbs out and Eddie right behind her. This is when Bobby decides to pull a risky stunt and goes into the helicopter alone to retrieve the heart.
The entire 118 hold on to the rope that Bobby uses to lower himself. Buck is continuously yelling out to Bobby, telling him to hurry. The washing cable that was holding the helicopter up finally snaps. We get a close shot of Buck screaming Cap, the 118 bracing and pulling on the rope, Bobby dangling in the air with the container in hand, as the helicopter falls to the ground and explodes.
Bobby is pulled up into safety.  The doctor appears on the roof, comments on how amazing the rescue was, but that they are still in the dark. Eddie responds with they’ll start working on the generators next. Motions over at Buck and Buck follows behind, stating the power will be back in no time.
Station 118 in the dark: Buck has a clip board! He’s with Ravi, explaining the rules of signing out a portable charger to Chim. Buck is very serious in this moment.
Chimney demands the charger, and warns Buck that if he does hand over the charger, he will not see his niece. Buck reluctantly gives Chimney the charger.
Eddie walks down the stairs. Chris and Ana are walking in, Chirs screams out to Eddie and Eddie excitedly walks over lifting Chris up in an embrace, asking why they are there.
Chris states that they wanted to bring him food, Eddie gives Ana a side kiss on the cheek, as he states that they didn’t have to do that. Ana explains that Chris insisted and starts to hand Eddie two bags with different kinds of salads after Eddie places Chris back on the ground.
Chris says, “Hi Buck” and Buck runs over stating, “Looks like the new Chief is here” scooping Chris back off the ground in an embrace. They both giggle as Buck puts him back on the ground.
Eddie is looking over at Buck and Chris hug and registers that Ravi is standing there. Eddie takes that moment to introduce Ravi to Chris. There is an awkward pause and Ana introduces her self to Ravi. Buck looks at Eddie, there is a confused expression on Buck’s face.
Buck is basically really confused as to why Eddie is not introducing his girlfriend properly; Eddie seems to be too focused on Chris at the moment to realize the expression.
Ravi vocalizes his assumption that Ana is Eddie’s wife. Eddie snaps his head up at looks at Ravi with a confused look. Chris tells Ravi, “No, not yet.” In an excited tone.
There is a longer awkward pause. Eddie is looking around like a dear in headlights. Ana breaks the silence and comments about how amazing the station looks, even in the dark. Buck continues to look at Eddie with an expression of confusion and concern.
Eddie finally snaps back into reality, makes the realization that Ana has never been to the station before and asks Ravi to give her a tour as he puts the salads away. Ana gives off a courteous smile and follows Ravi as Eddie runs up the stairs. Ravi calls over to Chris and invites him along. Buck is standing in the middle of the station, visibly confused, trying to process what just happened.
I felt really bad for Ana in this moment. An awkward blank stare is definitely not the reaction you want to see from your boyfriend when someone addresses you as his wife. If that was me, I would most likely start to tear up, decline the tour and just make an excuse to leave. Ana was super aware of how uncomfortable Eddie became and it likely did not help that her boyfriend’s best friend also looked taken aback by the reaction. His panic was not subtle in the slightest.
Animal Control: Buck is asking what kind of animal, Bobby slightly annoyed repeats to Buck that they do not know what kind of animal is involved in this rescue.  Buck verbalizes his confusion on why they have to handle helping wrangle in loose zoo animals. He doesn’t understand why animal control can’t take care of this call.
Everyone in the truck looks slightly annoyed. Bobby explains that Animal control is too busy and they need help. Eddie chimes in and states how animal control tranquilized the lion that was loose.
Buck doubles down and explains his stance. He’s confused, because this isn’t like the time Eddie and him had to catch a turkey. The L.A. Zoo has serious predators and they may not even have the right gear to handle these animals.
As Buck starts to list some of the predators the zoo has, Eddie chimes in about how Buck has taken Chris to the zoo all the time and how Buck has the zoo memorized.
Learning that Chris and Buck have their own personal relationship outside of Eddie is so sweet to think about. The fact that Buck has the zoo memorized is just indicates that Buck and Chris spend a lot of time together.
Buck continues to go off about the dangerous animal they can be dealing with and how Chimps can be so violent they can rip faces off. Hen tells Buck to just smile. Buck does not smile, he looks concerned as he looks over to Eddie, who gives him the biggest cheesiest smile.
They are off the truck walking through the road covered in deserted cars. Eddie with an axe in his hand following right behind Bobby. Buck is to the far left of Bobby, with a crowbar on his shoulder, being very cautious as he walks.
Buck is staring down all the animals he’s walking past. The 118 pauses and looks up at a few giraffes that walk past them. Buck looks over at Bobby with the same confused concerned face he loves to give.
Eddie and Chim are instructed to stay outside and help the victim they found. Bobby and Hen are heading into the shop.  Buck is instructed to control the animals. He is very hesitant to do so, but takes his crow bar and stand in a scared fighting position ready to fight off any animal that approaches them .
Outside near the trucks, Buck and Eddie are putting away tools. Buck is questioning Bobby about running away from an alpaca. His tone is slightly judgmental as he stands near Eddie being slightly cocky. (It’s like Buck thinks we all forgot how afraid he was at the start of the rescue.)
Bobby corrects Buck. Stating there was two alpacas and no running. Eddie and Buck, nod at Bobby’s correction. Eddie’s nod being particularly sassy. Eddie and Buck laugh as Bobby tells them to get back into the truck.
Station 118 during the day: Eddie is laying on his back in a cot in the middle of the station. Buck is standing over him asking if he’s asleep or just pretending. Eddie responds with he was trying to up until Buck interrupted him.
Buck sits down on a chair next to Eddie, admitting he’s exhausted. He proceeds to ask Eddie how he is feeling. Eddie responds with hot and sweaty. This prompts Buck to ask for confirmation that it’s not a cold sweat and asking about chest pain.
Eddie looks over at Buck, slightly annoyed, stating, “You don’t give up, do you.” Eddie repeats that he is fine. Buck argues with him that people who are fine do not see cardiologists.
Buck is stern in this moment, telling Eddie that he needs to let him know if something is wrong. This gets Eddie to sit up and admit to Buck that he had a panic attack, not a heart attack, implying it’s not a big deal.
Buck reacts to the information with doubt asking Eddie “Since when do you panic?” Eddie agrees with Buck, that he doesn’t panic, but in that moment he did. Buck starts to want to dissect the moment, asking what may have triggered the reaction, suggesting almost dying to a gun shot is a reasonable explanation.
Eddie quickly denying the shooting being the trigger and admitting that Ana is likely the thing that caused him to panic. Buck is very confused by this admission, believing that everything with Ana was going great.
Eddie admits that Ana is amazing. She has been very helpful through out all of this and that may be the reason why she causes him to panic. He’s not ready for the ready-made family he can have with her.
Buck asks Eddie what he’s going to do about the situation, Eddie suggests sticking it out. He begins to list the reasons why he should stay. Buck quickly tells Eddie that “sticking it out” is not the way you talk about the person you love. Suggesting Eddie is not in love with Ana. Eddie announces that Chris loves her. Buck asks him if that is enough.
Buck admits to Eddie that he has been in Ana’s position before and how terrible that situation was for him. He tells Eddie that deep down he knew the person he loved didn’t love him back the same way and that pretending it’s not true hurts more than just accepting the truth.
Buck continues to tell Eddie that if he cares for Ana at all, he needs to be honest with her and tell her the truth. Eddie believes Buck’s advise is too much for the moment and lays back down.
Buck is passive aggressive as he tells Eddie there is no rush in making a decision, it’s not like they will be leaving the station anytime soon, as he gets up and walks away from Eddie.

I’m going to continue posting my Season 5 and Season 6 Buddie notes this week. Getting the flu was no joke, I’m finally feeling decent.
I’ve really enjoyed watching the new season, I can’t wait for this week’s episode. I’m here for jealous Buck.

Are they trying to recreate how Buck and Eddie are always bumping shoulders. Are they trying to have that parallel. It just doesn’t work for them.

I might be really heavy in the clown makeup right now, because there was a lot of stolen glances between Buck towards Eddie. I loved this episode, and not just for the Buddie moments, everything just feels better, more alive.

911 Spoilers Season 5: You’ve been warned. 😅 Buddie Rewatch
Episode 1: Panic
LA is in shambles. The 118 are searching the area, with Bobby leading the way and Buck and Eddie right behind him, Chim and Hen are behind Eddie.  Buck and Eddie both have an axes.
The camera focuses on Buck as he looks towards Eddie’s direction. The camera pans to Eddie who is looking over at something in the distance, his face is serious. We hear something squawk. They walk past the big bird.
You can really tell that the show had a budget increase, because the beginning shots look really good, with all the animals and the camera shots. It pans to the 118 standing next to each other looking out at the chaos. Hen and Bobby are in between Buck and Eddie.
We saw the directors/writers separating Buck and Eddie a little bit in season 4. I think it gets significantly more obvious this Season, but honestly if your not focused on it, you won’t notice.
One Week Earlier: Buck is playing pool against Eddie, and stating Eddie’s relationship must be getting serious. Eddie is confused by the comment. Buck explains that meeting the parents is a big step.
Eddie tries to counter that point by stating he his meeting the entire family. Her uncles, aunts, and cousins. (I don’t know what point he was trying to make, because that’s more serious than just meeting the parents). He specifies that it’s just a baby christening.
Buck again points out that it sounds serious to him. Hen chimes in, trying to help Eddie by stating “It’s not like it’s Ana and Eddie’s baby, Buck.” Chimney walks up only hearing the tail end of the convo and says, “That’s right, baby Buck”.
Eddie explains that Ana’s sister is having a baby and that Chris and him are invited to the christening. Buck is standing in the background looking towards Eddie as he explains.
Chim has the same sentiment as Buck, believing it’s serious. Buck starts laughing. Eddie looks over at his direction as he tries to explain that they are making it more serious than what it actually is.
Buck explains to Eddie that this is the next step in their relationship. She’s showing him off to the entire family. Describing it as the opening scene of the God father. Eddie is looking directly at Buck as he’s processing what is being said. Bobby finally cuts in to correct Buck about the christening being the last scene.
Bobby the entire time has been sitting at this table, just watching the back and forth. His head nods and smiles, lead to me believing he was on Buck’s side before he even opened his mouth to confirm that he was.
We get this gif;
Tumblr media
There is no heterosexual explanation of the way they looked at each other in this moment. I’ve seen this moment in so many posts and after awhile I convinced myself that it was a fan edit, because of the tension and the longing looks. But no this is canon.
Eddie starts talking about how excited Christopher is for the christening, that they tried on his old suit. The suit is now too small and how he needs to buy him a new one. Just commenting on how fast Chris is growing.
Eddie mentioning that the last time Chris wore a suit was at his mother’s funeral. The mood in the room slightly shifts, but all their phones start to go off. Bobby gets an earthquake alert. Buck gets a tsunami alert. Eddie gets a mudslide alert. (That’s just cruel of the writers to do).
Buck looks genuinely worried at this moment. His eyes are wide as he asks why the bell isn’t going off.
Car driven off the pier: Eddie and Buck dive into the river. They swim towards the car, holding their breaths. Eddie flashes a light into the vehicle as Buck pulls the door open.
Eddie swims closer to the vehicle, guiding the victim into his arms and pulling her out.  They swim to the surface. Buck and Eddie keep her above the surface as they look around and acknowledge the chaos around them.
Taylor and Buck are in bed watching a news report about the GPS incident. Taylor is in her underwear and on her laptop focused on the story.
Buck pulls the laptop away, Taylor protests for only a second, until Buck tries to close the gap between them.  Buck is hovering over her as he explains that what happened was just a bug and that an update will be up by tomorrow.
Buck leans down and they start kissing. It’s very sensual. We get an over head shot of Buck on top. Taylor takes control and guides herself on top of Buck. She uses the moment to kill the mood and grab Bucks phone to look at the app that caused the accidents.
She hops off of Buck. Buck lays there disappointed. Taylor pieces together that the incident wasn’t just a weird bug, it has to be something more serious. Buck sits up at this realization.
Eddie is trying on suits. He’s looking into a mirror as Ana stands behind him telling him he looks good. Eddie points out that they aren’t there for him.
Ana takes this moment to maneuver in front of him stating “oh, but you look so good”, causing Eddie to chuckle. She suggests he try on a tie and he agrees.
As Ana walks over towards the ties, Eddie turns, watching her walk away and states, “You really love getting me dressed up, don’t you?” Ana responds with “And the other thing.”  Eddie gives her a quick smirk and gives her the shushing gesture.
This moment is also sensual up until the sales clerk approaches Ana and Eddie urns his attention towards Chris.
Chris is in the changing room when Eddie asks Chris how he’s doing and offering to help. Chris denies the offer for help and says he’s got it. Chris steps out of the dressing room as Eddie gasses him up and the sales clerk walks over complimenting him as well.
Chris vocalizes that he thinks he looks funny, Eddie stating this is the third suit he’s tried on. Chris expressing that he thinks he looks terrible. The sales clerk trying to be helpful, tries to ask Ana for her opinion, but mistakenly refers to her as Chris’s mother.
Ana gets a little awkward, but quickly corrects the clerk by stating she is not his mother. Eddie looks completely taken back by the comment, his mouth wide open in shock.
Eddie composes himself, but not before Ana could see his reaction. She walks towards them as she explains she is just a friend.
I felt so bad for Ana at this moment, because they are in this store picking out suits for her family event. This would be the first time she’s introducing the man she’s been intimate with and pursing a relationship with, an arguably big step in the relationship. And she’s telling aa random sales clerk they are just friends because she saw Eddie react so negatively to a comment.
Some may argue that Eddie reacted that way because of the implication Ana is replacing Shannon as Chris’s mom, but that just doesn’t feel right. If that was the vibe, I believe Ana would have specified that she’s the girlfriend or they’re in a new relationship. She wouldn’t have felt the need to say friend.
Ana hands Eddie the tie she picked out. Eddie still looking awkward takes the tie and moves away from her and Chris. Ana walks over to Chris. The camera pans to Eddie’s uneasy face. We hear Chris explain the specifics of the event to the sales clerk.
Eddie is swaying back and forth slightly. The camera work becomes disorienting. The conversation happening becomes more muffled as Eddie turns around to look at Ana and Chris.
Eddie is in a confused state, he collapses to the ground. Ana runs towards him, calling his name. Ana’s standing over him as he’s on the ground gasping for air. His eyes are wide open and we hear Chris call out for his dad.
Eddies in a hospital bed, with wires placed all over his chest. Ana and Chris are sitting right besides him. The doctor walks in giving Eddie the good news that it wasn’t a heart attack.
Eddie is confused because he really believed he was having a heart attack. Eddie is quick to deny that he had a panic attack. He looks over at Ana and Chris as he states that he doesn’t panic.
The Doctor explains that panic attacks aren’t rational, but can be an indication to some underlying anxiety. Eddie denies any new stressors as the camera cuts to Ana listening and paying close attention to the conversation.
Eddie specifically states, “No. Nothing. It’s been great. Right?” as he looks at Ana and asks for her confirmation. Ana hesitates to respond. Chris cuts in and tells the Doctor that his dad was shot.
Ana cleared her throat and added that Eddie was shot about 4 months ago and almost died.
This means Eddie and Ana have had this relationship for 5 maybe 6 months. At this point in many people’s relationship, you have a pretty clear understanding of how serious the relationship is. The uncertainty in this relationship makes it a situation ship.
Eddie vocalizes that he no longer even thinks about the shooter. That he doesn’t think the shooting has anything to do with what just happened. The doctor suggests that he may be repressing those emotions. Eddie counters that he is just moving forward.
Doctor hands Eddie a pamphlet about managing panic attacks. Ana is processing all the information, not stating a thing. Eddie tries to deny it, but looks over at Ana and reluctantly agrees to take it. He repeats, “I don’t panic.”
Air Tower: As the team is walking into the tower, Buck is right behind Bobby and Eddie is behind Buck. Something I want to note right now is that almost every time Bobby is leading the way, Buck can be found slightly to the right or left of him.
Eddie looks down at the victim, he becomes slightly uneasy himself. Chimney gets his attention and reminds him that he’s suppose to be attaching wires to their victim.
Eddie starts to dig into his bag to pull out the wires. Hen looks around the room and notices the lack of air traffic control happening.
Buck is crouched down next to Eddie as the victim goes into v-fib. Buck helps place charging pads down onto the victim’s chest. As Eddie calls all clear and shocks the victim, Buck is prepared with the manual air pump.
The victim revives and Buck tells him that he just had a heart attack. As they are celebrating this win, Eddie starts to get up. He notices another one of the workers grabbing on to their own chest.  As Eddie gets up, he places his hand on Buck shoulders and quickly heads over to the other worker asking how he feels.
The worker starts to breath heavily and asks if he’s also having a heart attack. As Eddie tells him not necessarily, it could be a panic attack. The guy collapses out of his seat. Eddie quickly guiding him to the ground trying to prevent him from getting hurt as he falls.
As the 118 starts walking out the two victims, the manager collapses as well, as the towers system is being highjacked.
Absolute Chaos/ Ransomware:  The 118 are bringing in the three victims into the hospital. The cardiologist on duty recognizes Eddie and states she didn’t expect him back so soon. She asks him how he’s feeling. Buck looks over at the doctor with wide eyes and confusion as Eddie expresses that he’s good.
Eddie signals to Buck to keep moving as they guide the victim to the appropriate station. Buck is looking at Eddie with disbelief and confusion, expecting to get an explanation.
Bobby offers the 118’s help to the hospital as they try to manage the chaos of the ransomware.
Buck and Eddie are manually bagging two patients. Buck is confused and trying to process the new information he just learned. Buck turns to look back at Eddie and asks what was with the doctor on the way in.  He wondering why she asked him if he’s all right.
Eddie states that it’s no big deal, practically nothing. That he wasn’t feeling well the other day so he came to the hospital to get checked up.
Buck points out that she’s a cardiologist, basically calling out Eddie’s minimization of his symptoms.  Buck asks if Eddie had a heart attack, which Eddie quickly denies.
Eddie is trying to get Buck to just drop the topic of conversation. That is when Hen and Chim walk over and offer to take over bagging duties.
Buck looks over at Eddie, a little angry as he states that sounds like a great idea, Eddie shouldn’t be over exerting himself.  Eddie visibly annoyed by the statement. Hen and Chimney noticing the weird tension between the two of them as they walk away, in two separate directions.
Buck walks over to a tv in the hospital that is reporting on how the city is being attacked by cyber criminals. The power in the entire city goes out.
The hospital power went out, Eddie points out that the generator should have already kicked in. As the 118 is preparing to go find and fix the generators they hear a large crash from the roof.
They run out side and look up to see the helicopter that was landing, is now hanging off the side of the building.

911 Spoilers Season 4: You’ve been warned. 😅 Buddie Rewatch
Episode 14: Survivors (Part 2)
Construction Emergency; Buck is near Bobby as they get the summary of what happened.
As the Manager walks the 118 over to the cameras, Buck stays behind looking up at the structure.
Hen, Chimney, and Bobby are looking at the injured man, trying to come up with a game plan on how they are going to rescue this man. The officer with them mentioning, if they climb up, they’ll have no way of protecting them.
As they are discussing possibilities and having limited time, Buck is climbing the structure, with gear. Bobby calls him over the radio, telling him he didn’t have clearance and there is no way of protecting him.
Buck responds back with he needs to do this and continues to climb up. Hen and Chim aren’t necessarily surprised that he pulled this stunt.
As Buck is climbing, he’s looking at his surroundings. Hen and Chim are instructing him on what he’s going to need to do when he gets to the victim.
Buck pauses, he notices a glare from one of the windows high up in the air. He continues to climb up despite this. Bobby is looking up, worried and annoyed at Bucks actions.
Buck steps on to the ledge, maneuvering his way towards the victim.  He places the tourniquet on the victim. Once it’s placed and he received the all clear from Bobby, he cuts the wire causing the beams to fall onto a truck.
Buck finishes wrapping up the victim and brings him down by air lift. The construction workers thank the 118. Hen redirects them to thank Buck, “the crazy guy”.  Bobby looks at Buck with disappointment, Buck knows he’s in trouble.
Bobby is cooking, when Buck approaches him and asks if he’s ever going to speak to him. Bobby is angry, he asks Buck what he wants to hear.
Buck says the usual stuff, like what where you thinking, you could have gotten your self killed. Bobby says he doesn’t need to have the conversation, because Buck already knows it.
Bobby states, “You went full Buck”. Buck walks up closer to Bobby asking for clarification, because he said it as if that’s suppose to be a bad thing.
Bobby expresses that he views Buck as the guy that doesn’t think before he asks, and how he has learned to just accept that.
He also notes that his impulsiveness usually comes from a good place, but that stunt he pulled was not from a good place.
Bobby recognizes that Buck had made himself a target. Buck doesn’t deny that fact, he embraces it.
He states it’s because he wasn’t going to see anyone else take that risk. He cannot handle anyone else getting hurt right now.
Bobby tries to reassure Buck, that Eddie’s shooting wasn’t his fault. Buck tells Bobby that he knows that, but he was the person standing there as it happened and could do anything to protect him.
Buck was able to protect the rest of his team today, he saw the moment and he took it. Bobby turns back to start cutting veggies, but before he does, he tells Buck that they are a team, they are there to protect each other, and to not do it again.  Buck slowly walks away.
Taylor is at Buck’s apartment. She’s drinking wine as Buck is explaining what happened at work, and not liking Bobby’s reaction.
Taylor vocalizing that she was also not a fan of his stunt, and how there are multiple videos online about his climb up the crane.
I wonder if anyone ever told Eddie about Buck’s viral stunt. Did he ever find out about on his own or is he completely unaware of this. I want to believe Buck told him about it, but given that Buck did it as a self-sacrifice, maybe not. Something to think about.
Buck is trying to make light of the situation, giving slick remarks to concerns Taylor brings up. Buck teases that Taylor cares about him.
After Taylor mentions he could have died (well it’s implied), he responds with “But I didn’t” Taylor walk up to him, pulling him into a passionate kiss, she’s holding his face. He leans into the kiss and kisses her back.
When they pull apart from the kiss, Buck’s eyes remain closed for a few seconds, he smiles. Taylor is the one to pull away and apologize.  She puts some distance between them.
Buck is confused, looks over at her. She admits to not knowing why she did that, blaming it partially on the wine. Buck offers to talk about it. She walks straight to the door, she turns around and states she has to go.
Buck looks hurt, he hesitates slightly, Taylor takes the moment to walk out. As Buck is about to tell her to wait, his phone rings, it’s Ana. He lets Taylor walk out and answers the phone and asks if everything is okay.
Buck is in the hospital, he’s running towards Eddies room. He pauses at the door way. Ana is in front of Eddies bed, she looks back smiling at Buck, and moves out of the way to an awake Eddie laying in bed.
Eddie is looking over at Buck, does a slight nod of his head and says “Hey Buck” in a soft-spoken voice.  Buck exhales and laughs a little, and says “Hey”
Two things. The first is about a post I saw a long time ago where someone pointed out that Eddie most likely woke up when Taylor kissed Buck. Implying Eddie felt a disturbance and knew he had to wake up. And second, the first time they see each other is so timid and sweet.
Chris is video calling Eddie. Chris says he misses him, and Eddie says it back. Eddie is soft spoken, obviously tired, as he tells Chris that he’ll be home soon.
Carla cutting in to tell Eddie to focus on healing first, that he has nothing to worry about, that Buck and her are taking care of it.
Chris is giggling as they say their good byes/I love yous. Chris closes his laptop and Eddie hands Buck his phone back.
Buck is sitting next to Eddies bedside. Eddie thanks Buck for staying with Chris.
Buck explains that Carla had offered to bring him to her house, but how he wanted Chris to be comfortable in his own house. That the situation was already overwhelming and he didn’t want to add to that.
Eddie asks if Chris is doing okay. Buck answers truthfully, that Chris is doing better that he is.
Buck admits to losing it when he told Chris his dad was shot. He apologizes for breaking down in front of his son, how he should have kept it together.
Eddie responds with, “You where there for him when I couldn’t be.” (You stepped up like a parent)
Buck admitting to thinking it would have been better for Chris if he was the one to get shot. Eddie is confused by the comment and just looks over at him.
They caught the shooter, not really; The 118 show up to a burning building, no longer being followed by swat, they believe there is only one victim.
Buck and Ravi are hooking up the hoses to the hydrants, tackling the fire from the outside. As Buck grabs the hose, Ravi mentions no longer needing bullet proof vests, Buck vocalizing how he won’t miss them.
The 118 is told over the radio to evacuate, orders given by the LAPD. Bobby find what he believes is the victim, but turns out to be a trap. Bobby is shot in the leg.
Hen and Chim have evacuated the building, Bobby hasn’t responded over the radio. Athena approaches them, Buck joining, Athena reveals the victim is actually the shooter.
Athena asks if they have any idea of where Bobby could be, Buck mentions that he could it out when he found the guy. He’d be on the 3rd floor.
Athena asks Buck if he can get her in there. Buck starts to protest, but Athena cuts him off. Bobby will die in there if she doesn’t act fast.
I love how Athena knew she had to rope in Buck to help her break protocol and get her husband into safety.
Hen walks over and hears Athena pleading. Athena states, “ to get my husband”. She looks over at Buck who nods his head.
Buck tells Hen that it’s going to be easy and gives a break down about how Athena will get to Bobby. Buck and Ravi are guiding Athena up the ladder, towards the burning building. They hop on top of the roof.
On the roof, Hen also climbed up on the roof.  They dress Athena in the firefighter uniform, Buck tells her that he’s going in too. Athena immediately telling him no, because she can’t protect him.
Specifying that the shooter is targeting firefighters.
Buck points out that she is dressed like one. She points out that she has a gun.
Shooter is dead. Bobby is saved.
Buck is at his apartment. Taylor knocks on his door. He’s surprised to see her. Taylor admits to running away, but brings up that he didn’t run after her.
Buck vocalizes that he spent along time not feeling like he was enough. He doesn’t want to do that anymore. So he puts his cards on the table and basically tells Taylor, that if she wants him it is up to her.
Taylor gets closer to Buck, wrapping around her arms around his neck and pulling him down for a kiss as she says “I do. I really do.”
Eddie is sitting up on his hospital bed. His arm in a sling and he’s lost in thought. Buck walks in telling Eddie that the nurse is getting his medication and discharge paperwork ready.
Buck is obviously there to take him home.
Eddie wants to address something, Buck is concerned, asks if everything is alright. Eddie tells him everything is fine, that he’s just been meaning to tell him something.
The first time I watched this, I thought Eddie was going to confess his feelings. Ana wasn’t in the room with them, so in the few moments before Eddie started elaborating, I thought he was going to admit to breaking up with Ana and being in love with Buck.
I actually told myself that it’s going to be awkward when Buck reveals he’s dating Taylor. I wish I was joking, but this was my actual thought process when I watched the first time.
Buck sits down on the hospital bed, there is some distance between them.  Eddie starts off by awkwardly mentioning almost dying, again. Buck is looking over at Eddie confused. Eddie continues to speak.
Eddie goes on to talk about his multiple close calls, and how this wasn’t even the worse of his near death experiences. Buck tries to cut in, but Eddie asks him to let him finish. Eddie is making direct eye contact. Buck is concerned.
Eddie talks about his last near death experience when he was buried alive. Buck chiming, “ that he survived.” Eddie continues, he admits to thinking about what if he didn’t survive, what would have happened to Christopher. So, he met with his attorney and had his will changed.
Eddie reveals that if someday he doesn’t survive another tragedy, Chris would be taken care of, he would go with Buck. Buck is confused and Eddie makes it clear to him, that if he were to die, Buck would be Chris’ legal guardian.
Buck is processing this new information, asking how that would even work. Would Eddie need Buck’s permission to do something like that. Eddie mentions his attorney bringing up that Buck could always refuse guardianship.
Okay so I’m going to mention another post I read a long time ago, about how Eddie approached the topic with his attorney about making his best friend a legal guardian.
How the attorney might be thinking best friend is just code for lover. I may have read that in a fic, I just know this isn’t my original idea. But it is another fun thing to think about.
Buck vocalizing that Eddie knows him, and how he wouldn’t refuse something like that. Eddie repeating back to Buck that he knows he wouldn’t refuse.
Buck continues to analyze the situation, brining up the fact that Eddie’s parents are still alive, wondering if they would try to fight for custody.
Eddie goes on to describe how his family tried to guilt him into giving Christopher to them when Shannon died. He didn’t what that for Chris then and he doesn’t want that for him now. Eddie wants someone that will fight for his son, and he knows that person is Buck.
Buck realizes that Eddie changed his will last year, so why is he only now just finding out about it now.
“Because, Evan,” Eddie explains that after hearing Buck state that he should have been the one that was shot, that he needed to hear he mattered. Eddie wanted Buck to know he was wanted and needed.
“You act like you’re expendable. But you’re wrong.” Buck looks up at Eddie.
My pinned post is about this moment and how Eddie basically confessed to loving Buck and giving him his heart and how Buck didn’t realize it.
But now that I’ve rewatched the scene, I believe Buck knew Eddie was telling him he loves him. I just think Buck assumed it was a family kind of love. Eddie most likely believing he was only confessing a family kind of love.
Regardless of if you think there was romantic undertones to this moment or not, the one thing that can’t be denied is that this moment establishes Buck as a member of the family, specifically a parental figure in Chris’ life.  Buckley-Diaz or Diaz-Buckley family unit is basically canon.
Montage of the 118 being surrounded by family/friends and each other as Bobby narrates about survival.
Buck and Eddie are outside Eddie’s apartment. Buck opens the door to a surprise welcome back party. Taylor, Carla, Ana, his Abuela, Tia Peppa, and Chris are inside screaming surprise or clapping/cheering.
Eddie walks up towards Chris, crouches down and kisses him on the forehead. Chris is ecstatic, smiling ear to ear. Buck looking over at them from the door frame smiling.
Eddie greets each and everyone of the guests. Kissing his abuela, Ana, and Peppa on the cheek. Giving Carla a hug. We do not see him interact with Taylor individually, but we see him give a big laughing smile to the group.
Albert passes his fire fighter test. Everyone from the 118 is celebrating on the roof. Bobby in between Eddie and Buck. They are all clapping and cheering. Buck looks towards Eddies direction.
Out of all the Season finales, this one is my favorite. The story doesn’t feel rushed, each person in the 118 basically gets a decent place to end their stories if they weren’t renewed for another season.
It’s emotional and powerful and we get to see individual character progress as well as team dynamic.
I specifically can’t stop myself from comparing it to Season 6th finale. Everything Season 4’s did right, Season 6 lacked. But I’ll discuss that when I get to Season 6th finale.

911 Spoilers Season 4: You’ve been warned. 😅 Buddie Rewatch
Episode 14: Survivors (Part 1)
“Shots fired! Shots Fired! Firefighter has been shot.” Eddie is on the ground, in a pool of his blood. Buck is on the ground looking over at him.
Buck rolls under the fire truck, with determination in his eyes.  He starts crawling under the truck, calling Eddies name.  He’s screaming at Eddie, telling him he’s on his way. He’s coming for him and that he’s got him.
Eddie rolls over from his side on to his back, his winces in pain.  Buck pleads with Eddie to hang on. The captain’s vehicle is on fire. There is chaos all-around.
Eddies in unconscious on the ground, sprawled out. Buck is finally close to him, grabs Eddie by the arm and drags him under the fire truck. Buck is pulling Eddie with one arm, as he uses his other to crawl backwards, pulling them out of the shooters line of sight. There is a trail of Eddies blood left behind on the ground.
Buck crawls out from under the truck, Mehta and other firefighters help pull Eddie out from underneath. Eddie screams in agonizing pain.
Mehta opens the Truck door commanding everyone to get in. Buck scoops Eddie up and over his shoulder. Buck lifts Eddie into the truck and a random firefighter helps pull him in.
Buck jumps into the truck.  The shooter hits the trucks window, missing Buck by mere moments. The truck continues to get shot at, they aren’t able to drive forward because that’s the direction of where the bullets are coming from.
They reverse out of the area and drive off. The door Buck is near is ripped off in their attempt to flee the scene.  Buck barley misses getting burned by the fire that is engulfing the captain’s vehicle.
In the fire truck, Buck helps lay Eddie down. The random fire lady is supporting Eddies neck and Buck hovers on top of him, ripping off Eddies shirt to see the wound. Eddie’s eyes go wide, he’s conscious at the moment.
Buck is ripping open packages of gauze with his teeth. Buck’s hands are covered in blood. Buck covers the wound with the gauze, pressing down, desperately trying to stop the blood. Eddie grunts in pain.
Eddie is visibly pale. He’s disorientated, he’s blinking, trying to regain consciousness. Buck is over him pleading with Eddie to stay with him.
Eddie looks up at Buck, registering the fact that Buck is covered in blood and asks Buck, “are you hurt?” Eddie is struggling as he asks.
Buck looks down at his torso, shakes his head in confusion and tells Eddie, “No, no, no. I’m good.”  Buck’s eyes are wide open in shock, they are glassy, and red.
Mehta is in the background shouting into the radio, giving orders and informing everyone what is going on. He is requesting trauma unit to be prepped.
Buck screams toward the driver to “Come on! Come on!” implying to go faster.  Buck than looks down at Eddie, begging him to hang on, that they are so close.
Eddie starts to close his eyes again. The other fire fighter puts an oxygen mask on to Eddie, Buck continuing to plead for his to hang on.
Athena and Bobby are arguing, Bobby is walking away claiming to need to get to work when Hen calls. She tells him that Eddie has been shot and on the way to the hospital.
The 133 truck pulls up to the emergency room entrance. Medical staff run out with a gurney. Buck is the first to hop out of the truck, calling over to them, and directing them to his side. He’s screaming and gesturing big.
Buck helps guide Eddie out of the truck and onto the gurney. Eddie is secured into the gurney and urgently taken inside. Buck stands near the truck, helplessly watching as Eddie is wheeled away.
Buck stands there, breathing heavily, it’s like he’s starting to disassociate.  Mehta looks over at him asking if he’s okay. Buck does not react as a firefighter runs past him. He finally responds with a “No.” as he looks at Eddie disappear thru the doors of the hospital.
Athena arrives at the scene where the shooting takes places. She speaks to a detective and offers her assistance. Mention’s her connection to Eddie. Reveals that Eddie is Ex military and that could possibly play a role in why he was shot.
Buck is in no longer in the button up soaked in blood. He changed into a LAFD sweater, he’s walking out of the hospital, removing his mask.
He looks over at the media gathered outside of the hospital. Taylor calls out to Buck and walks towards him.
Buck starts to walk away, stating no comment. Taylor quickly tells him that she’s not there to report on the story.
Buck stops in his tracks, Taylor stands in front of him as she explains she heard a firefighter was shot and was worried it was Buck, after he had not responded to any of her calls.
Buck apologizes, admitting to not checking his phone. He looks scared and hesitant as he tells Taylor this.  Buck pulls out his phone and holds in low in his hand, not making effort to really look at it.
Taylor looks down and noticed the blood on his hands and pants, she asks if it’s blood. Buck specifies that it’s not his blood, but Eddie’s. Taylor is shocked to find out Eddie was the one that was shot.
Buck reveals to her that Eddie was shot fight in front of him. He clears his throat and starts to walk away. States that he needs to talk to Christopher.
Buck pauses, turns back around, when he realizes he doesn’t have his car. He starts to look down at his phone, says he needs to call a ride.
Taylor offers to drive him. She starts to suggest, Buck immediately cuts he off, denying her suggestion.
Taylor looks up at him, cutting him off, by stating that he can’t go see his son looking the way he does.
Buck looks down at her, he starts to visibly shake. She holds on to his hands and asks him if he is okay. Buck just looks down at her, breathing, processing.
This moment was Taylor’s realization about how much she cares for Buck and worries about his safety. The way she’s gentle with him, to us the viewer it’s obvious they are experiencing a shift in their relationship. Taylor likely processing that she doesn’t see Buck as just a friend.
Chim is on the phone with Maddie. Chim is updating her about Buck and how he’s fine but just in shock. Maddie pointing out that this is another trauma for Buck. We learn that Eddie will be in surgery for a few hours, and they won’t get an update until he’s out.
Chim tells Maddie that Buck will be checking in on Christopher. Maddie starts to focus on a news broadcast about another firefighter that has also been shot at a different location in LA.
Buck and Taylor are walking away from the entrance of the emergency room, when another firefighter is wheeled into the ambulance, she was also shot, in a similar scenario where they where also ambushed.
Taylor and Buck look over, confused by the situation. Buck vocalizes his confusion by asking, “What the hell is going on?”
The shooter is targeting fire fighters. The 118 and Albert are outside the hospital discussing the situation. They are waiting until they get news about Eddie or until hospital staff kicks them off campus. Buck is not with them, as Chim put it, “He’s got a harder job tonight.”
Buck slowly walks towards Chris’ room. He’s no longer covered in blood and in a new outfit. Buck looks tired, his eyes red and sunken in. He looks like he’s been crying.
Buck stops at the door way, takes in a breath of air and lets out a sigh of relief as he see Chris sit on his bed playing a video game.
Chris looks up and greats Buck, Buck is slowly walking into the room, sort of like a zombie. He’s looking down at Chris, and proceeds to kneel down to get eye level with Chris. Chris asks where his dad is.
Buck hesitates, he’s looking up at Chris now trying to come up with the right words. He tells Chris that “he’s not coming home tonight.”  Christopher asks why not. Buck is speaking at a very low volume, almost at the point of whispering, and speaking very slowly.
Buck tells Chris that Eddie got hurt at work today. Chris is processing the information, and asks if he was hurt in a fire. Buck looks down away from Chris, he bites down on his lip, and shifts into sitting on the bed with Chris.
Buck looks down to the ground as he tells him no.  Buck looks towards Chris as he specifies, not in a fire.  Buck takes a breath in, trying to hold in any tears as he reveals the truth that someone hurt his dad.
Buck is looking directly at Chris as Chris asks if the person hurt him on purpose. Buck nods his head yes, admitting that he thinks so. Chris asks if it was a bad guy. Buck making direct eye contact nods his head. He clears his throat looks down and says yeah a bad guy.
A tear escapes Buck’s eye, he wipes it away and looks down at the ground. Chris is looking over at him, and asks if his dad will be okay.
Buck looks at Chris and responds with telling him is dad is tough and a fighter. Another tear escapes and he wipes it away aggressively. Buck continues to explain he’s with doctor’s right now.
Chris asking if they are like the same doctor’s that fixed Buck. Buck nods in agreement, his eyes are watery, and states, “yeah, like the ones that fixed me.”
Chris asks for confirmation that his dad is going to be okay. Buck breaths in, he starts too look down at the ground, his lip quivers, when his phone goes off, multiple dings.
Buck rushes to pull his phone out of his pocket. He looks down at a message from Bobby that states the surgery went well.
Buck relaxes a bit, telling Chris that he thinks his dad will be okay. Chris is looking over at Buck. Buck is looking down towards his own chest and begins to sob, he can no longer fight the tears.
Buck covers his face with his hands and sobs loudly. Chirs scoots closer to Buck putting his arm around him in a side hug. Their heads are pressed together, and Chris tell Buck that it’s going to be okay.
Buck reaches over and holds onto Chris’s knee. They are curled towards each other, comforting each other, and crying.
The 118 is watching a news broadcast about the shooter who is targeting firefighters. Bobby is giving a debriefing speech about how this isn’t something they haven’t faced before. Buck is standing behind Hen, next to Chimney. He has his arms crossed as he gives the tv a death glare.
When Bobby admits to understanding the situation is scary, Buck looks away from the tv and looks towards the ground. Arms still crossed.
Bobby goes on to say they still have a job to do, that it just has to be done differently know. Buck is looking directly at Bobby; his eyes widen a little. Bobby pulls out a bullet proof vest, when Chimney mentions being sitting ducks.
Buck is strapping on a bullet proof vest as he looks into the mirror getting ready for work.
Hen asks about their family’s safety. Bobby mentions that there is no reason to think they families are in any danger. Buck immediately cutting in to say that they had no reason to think Eddie would get shot while helping a kid. Buck is leaning forward against the pool table, slightly angry.
The camera cuts to Eddie in a hospital bed with a tube down his throat unconscious. Ana is sitting in one of the seats in the hospital watching a nurse come in to change saline bags and observe Eddie.  She asks if everything is alright and the response being “vitals are good”
Bobby explains that if they had enough resources to post officers at everyone of their homes, he would, but he can’t.
Chris is calling for Buck and waking him up by pulling his leg. Buck was asleep on the couch. Chris asks if he could call his dad. Buck checks his phone and tells Chris not yet, he’s still resting.
Buck and Chris are eating cereal for breakfast, when Carla walks in greeting them with a good morning, and commenting on the fact that they are still in their pajamas, mentioning that school starts in about 20 minutes.
Buck apologizing, and taking the blame for sleeping thru the alarm. Carla is happy to hear that, because it means he’s getting some sleep. Chris chiming in about how loud Buck snores.
Buck tells Chris that it’s time to get ready to go to school and Chris makes a joke about needing a nap later because he could barely sleep with Buck’s snoring.
Carla laughs. Buck sits at the table. They both watch Chris walk off to his bedroom to get ready. Buck’s smile drops the moment he knows Chris is not looking. Carla comments about how Chris seems to be doing okay.
Buck asks Carla if she thinks Chris understands what is going on. Carla believes he knows more than what they’d like him to, given the fact that he’s already lost his mother.
Carla asks Buck how it feels to be back out on the field. He admits to it being weird and how the team feels off with out Eddie. Carla clarifies that she wasn’t asking that, she was asking Buck specifically being out there. She vocalizes her concern, and he responds with being fine.  He’s not the one that got shot.
Had to break this episode down into two parts. Part 2 will be posted shortly. Hopefully it's already posted once you read this.

911 Spoilers Season 4: You’ve been warned. 😅 Buddie Rewatch
Episode 13: Suspicion
Brideliza Lie Detector: Eddie is using the fire extinguisher to put out the hotel fire. Buck asks the bride if she’s getting ready for a wedding, confused by the lie detector in the room.
Eddie looks around for cameras as he asks if they are in a reality show.
As the bridesmaids explain that the bride is trying to find the person who bashed her online is, Buck is looking around the room, makes eye contact with Eddie.
As the Bride gets up complaining about not going to the ER, Eddie backs away fairly quickly. Buck is in the background just watching.
Buck decides to chime in about watching a makeup tutorial online, where the person painted her face like a skull. Eddie looks over at Buck very confused as he’s telling this story.
Eddie chiming in about how the bride’s face will be covered by a veil. Eddie and Buck are now standing near each other as the bride processes her hair and makeup situation.
Eddie and Buck are standing right near each other when everyone starts confessing to be the online snitch.
Eddie’s eyes go wide as he looks over and observes everyone’s reaction. (This boy really loves chisme)
As it gets more dramatic with Mom confessing, Buck is laughing and looking over at Eddie, Eddie looking over at him. They really love the drama.
As the bride yells for everyone to get out, Eddie does a scared little jump that Buck notices.
When bride notices her dress is burned up and starts crying, Buck says sorry about the dress while running out. Eddie right behind him says good luck with the wedding.
Eddie is organizing throw pillows on the couch, moving them back and forth and fluffing them. He asks Ana and Chris if it looks better.
They are standing off to the side, Ana resting her hand on Chris’s back as she hesitantly comments that it looks the same.
Ana looks down at Chris, both are smiling, as Eddie states he just wants everything to be perfect. There is a knock on the door, Christopher walks over to open it.
Carla is on the other side and gets a huge welcoming from Chris. Eddie and Ana are in the back ground watching as they hug.
Eddie walking over, honestly can describe it as a little prance over, to join in on the hug. The camera pans over to Ana who looks happy, but is awkwardly looking over at them.
At the dinner table everyone is laughing and having a good time listening to Chris tell a story. When Eddie attempts to get up with his empty plate, Ana stops him offering to clean up instead.
Carla offers to help clean up and is yelled at by Chris, that she’s not allowed to go into the kitchen. Ana adds that they have business to take care of and will be right back. Ana and Chris go into the kitchen.
Eddie tells Carla how much she’s been missed. They catch up a bit. Eddie mentions how much Chris loves having Ana around. Carla asks Eddie how he feels about Ana. Eddie laughs and says it is nice.
He describes being with her as easy. Carla specifies that Ana is lovely and she’s glad he is moving on, “but just be sure that you’re following your heart, not Christopher’s, okay?” Eddie looks at Carla, processing what she said and is confused.
Carla has not seen this man in about a years’ time. She experienced her own traumas during this pandemic and one of the first things she does is clock Eddie on being in a relationship for the convenience. You don’t just tell someone you know to remember to follow their heart, if you think they are following their heart. You give that advise to someone that you know is holding back or not being 100% truthful. Carla spent maybe an hour or two with them and clocked Eddie not being all in on the relationship. She knew before he even knew.
Ana and Chris interrupt the conversation by yelling surprise. They come out with two cakes filled with candles, wishing Carla a Happy Birthday. Stating they are celebrating for they two birthdays they missed.
Eddie starts to light all the candles and Carla makes a joke about how lucky they are to have a firefighter in the house.
Chris is laughing hysterically at the joke and Ana is smiling at Chris. She pulls him into a hug and they are happy together.
Eddie is looking over at them and he looks like he’s processing new information. Eddie becomes a bit uncomfortable.
Mom falls thru balcony: Buck and Bobby are on top of the Engine, Buck getting ready to climb up the ladder.  Eddie is standing right behind him.
Buck climbs up the ladder to the balcony right below the victims. The neighbor comes out, with headphones on getting to cook steaks.
Buck waves over at him, getting his attention and asking for permission to use his balcony. Buck and Bobby get off on the balcony below the victim.
Eddie climbs the ladder and lands on the balcony the victim is holding onto.
He hops on to the balcony and makes small talk (it comes across a little flirty, but he is just being nice) with the victim as he secures her in.
Bobby and Buck are securing a board underneath her, just incase she falls.
Eddie reassures the victim that she’s not going to fall, but that he needs to go let the paramedics in, and he’ll be right back.
As he enters the home, he calls the son, Charlie, a hero for doing the right thing and calling 911.
As Chim and Hen are on the balcony, Buck and Bobby make it upstairs. Buck and Eddie are standing near each other as Hen gets vitals.
Buck and Eddie are instructed to wear safety lines, before they step on to the balcony, just in case. They start prying away at the wood, creating a bigger hole, and freeing the mom.
Eddie has her wrap her arms around his neck as he lifts her up with Buck assisting and into the inside of her apartment.
Eddie places her onto the gurney. Mom starts freaking out about going to the hospital, because there is no one that can watch her son.
She informs Bobby that Charlie can't go to the hospital because of an auto immune disease. Eddie is looking over at Charlie intently. Buck is in the background observing.
Eddie without a single hesitation offers to stay behind and watch Charlie, mentioning that he has a kid around his age. He doesn’t take no as an answer.
Bobby pats him on the arm as the rest of the 118 walks out the apartment. Eddie asks Charlie if he wants to help out with cleaning up the ropes.
Eddie and Charlie are on face time with Carla and Chris. Charlie telling Chris he’s lucky that his dad knows how to cook.
Chris is surprised by the compliment and asks Charlie if he’s sure his dad didn’t buy take out and Carla joining in on the joke.
I love how Chris is always making fun of his dad’s cooking.
Charlie spills his drink, and Eddie gets up and starts looking for napkins. While grabbing the napkins, he notices a bunch of eye drops.
Eddie cleans up the mess as Charlie explains that he doesn’t go to school because he’s sick and has to see a lot of doctors. Chris asking what kind of doctors. Charlie responds with how he doesn’t know, all kinds of doctors.
Eddie hearing multiple doctors, comments about how expensive that must be and asks about the mom’s job. Charlie reveals that she takes care of him full time and that they get funding from go fund me pages.
Mom comes back at that exact moment and gets hyper concerned about that fact that Eddie made Charlie lunch.
Eddie states that he knew she would be tired from being at the hospital and didn’t want her to worry about feeding him. Charlie reassures her that he’s feeling fine.
Eddie is looking at mom, I want to describe it as admiration, for all the work she puts into caring for her son.
Charlie introduces Christopher to his mom. Chris says hello and good bye. Eddie ends the facetime.
Charlie asks about the possibly hanging out with Chris in the future. Mom gives and uncertain answer. Eddie looks over at Charlie with a look of sympathy.
Eddie, Carla, and Chris are together picking up toys and books with the plan to give the items to Charlie.
Chris making it a point to mention he’s will to give Charlie a few video games that he hasn’t played in a while. Eddie turning down the idea because he didn’t remember seeing a tv at the apartment.
Ana walks in, comments about how generous Chris is being. She asks to speak with Eddie alone.
As Eddie gets up and is about to walk out the door he pauses and tells Carla to now let Chris give away everything in the house.
Ana and Eddie walk into the kitchen, Ana starts explaining how she thought about Charlie and the mom’s story and looked up the Fund me page with the hope to donate to and spread the link around.
She tells Eddie that she has a weird feeling about Mom.
Eddie’s confused stating that is a quick conclusion, given that they’ve never met. Ana explains that she found a ton of weird stuff online about her and that she thinks Eddie was lied to.
The scene cuts to Carla, Eddie, and Ana sitting together in the kitchen going over multiple fundme pages from with Shelia (Mom) and Charlie from around the USA with different last names.
Eddie states that Charlie did mention moving around a lot and that would explain the different cities and different fund me pages, but not the different last names.
As they talk more about Charlie, Eddie mentions how Charlie’s sickness never had a diagnosis, they just used vague terminology like autoimmune.
They all start piecing together that all the information they know about this woman and Charlie’s treatment is suspicious.
Ana points out the comments on most of the fund me pages that are shut down, share the same sentiment of mom is lying, a scammer, and that she’s making her kid sick.
Eddie disgusted at that possibility.
Buck and Chim walk into the fire station, they make note that B shift must still be out on a call. Eddie walks out of the locker room dressed up for work and rubbing his eyes. Buck pointing out that Eddie was their early.
Eddie responds with he could not sleep and goes on to immediately tell Buck and Chim about how he thinks the mom they saved the other days is making her son sick.
Eddie reveals to having tracked down people that knew them in the past. All evidence he finds points to Sheila purposefully making Charlie sick.
Eddie straight up accuses her of poisoning her son.Buck asks what he thinks she may be poisoning him with, Eddie unsure, until he remembers the eye drops he saw in the kitchen.
Eddie mentions having already called social services. Buck asks why she would do something like that.
Eddie brings up the multiple fund me pages and she’s most likely doing this for profit.
Eddie gets a phone call from Charlie. He asks Charlie if he’s okay and Charlie reveals that he did a bad thing and poisoned his mother.
Buck is driving the captain vehicle as Eddie is riding passenger. They show up on scene with the 133 to respond to the call.
They hop out of the vehicle, Captain Mehta runs toward Buck, who is in civilian clothing, if he was promoted to captain and he was not aware.
Buck responding with it was the only vehicle available at that time.
Eddie and Buck are the first ones to run into the apartment. Eddie running towards Charlie and making sure he’s okay before looking over at mom.
Eddie walks Charlie away and gets his side of the story as the 133 starts rescue measure. Buck stays with them and explains that Eddie thinks it maybe tetrahydrozoline poisoning.
Charlie explains that he always saw his mom put drops in her food, she thought he didn’t see, but he did.
Charlie only wanted to know what would happen if she gave them to her. Charlie apologizes for hurting his mother. Eddie stops him, tells him that he knows he didn’t mean to hurt him.
Buck points out that Charlie is also going to need treatment, he’s experienced the same kind of poisoning, just in smaller doses for a long time.
Eddie is walking out with Charlie as he’s being loaded into the ambulance.
Eddie explains that his mom will be going to a different hospital, because she’s sicker. Buck approaches Eddie. They look at each other as mom’s ambulance starts to drive off.
Eddie starts to blame himself. How he should have noticed the signs sooner and helped earlier. Buck immediately chiming in about how lucky Charlie was for meeting him.
Captain Mehta asks Eddie if he wants to ride with the kid to the hospital. Eddie responds with a yeah, but is cut off by the sound of a gunshot.
In a split second we see a bullet fly thru Eddie’s shoulder, Buck’s faces sprayed with Eddies blood.
Buck is shocked, he’s looking over at Eddie with wide eyes, Eddie is struggling to stay standing up right. The scene slows down slightly, Eddie and Buck are staring at each other, not reacting, barley processing what happened.
Eddie collapses on to the ground landing on his side. Buck is still standing, just looking and Eddie collapse, unable to process what just happened. People around them are running.
Eddie is looking up at Buck. Buck is looking down at Eddie. We see the unknown shooter, load another bullet.
Captain Mehta runs towards Buck, tackling Buck to the ground as another bullet is shot, this time hitting the truck.
Eddie is on his side, losing a lot of blood, his head is resting in a pool of his own blood. Eddie starts to slowly reach out in front of him, towards Buck.
Buck is underneath Captain Mehta, he’s directly at looking over at Eddie. Eddie is trying to lift up his head, he’s looking directly at Buck, they aren’t breaking eye contact.
Eddie reaches out again; his eyes start to roll back as he loses consciousness. Buck is laying on the ground, face to the floor, unable to look away from Eddie.
I wish I could watch this scene again for the very first time. I remember how my stomach dropped the first time watching. I was convinced I just saw a main character death. I had so many emotions running thru my head. I could barely accept that I just witnessed Eddie get shot. The way the episode started off lighthearted and ended in devastation.
