u guys should tell me moves that they would have... i feel like only limiting them to their pokemon's regular movesets is stupid and u guys should be allowed to have fun with ur suggestions so say whatever u want..! i think metronome is fitting for june cause it reflects her unpredictability, her ability to change canon, and also a side effect of her meeting with vriska pre-sburb (she would also have metronome but that would be like her main attack whereas june uses a lot of different attacks..!).,,, idk if ingrain is fitting for rose is cause but i did that cause of of the "tentacle" in her pesterchum handle and most grass types with tentacles have that move :-) im thinkin gigaton hammer for june heehe! and maybe twinneedle for rose? or fury attack? of course not in its regular weak state, a special fury attack just for rose that is awesome and powerful >:-)

I need you to step on a beedrill nest while barefoot. @kalosprotector
Hello!
I am not sure you're referring to the correct species here? Beedrill are pretty dangerous and if you have to deal with them, you should always wear protective gear! Their twinneedles are surprisingly strong and can penetrate even sturdy leather and similar materials. I would not recommend approaching them barefoot. In addition, do they not build their nests high in the top of trees? Maybe they behave differently where you are from...
I would recommend stepping into a Bidoof nest though! They are surprisingly friendly if you don't hurt them! They are often timid, but if you are careful you can approach them without danger. Their fur is very soft and fluffy...
I hope this helps your confusion :-)

Gotta pry myself away from the emu and be a washed human being who can receive company later today. I was hoping I could at least get up to Grant's doorstep as a checkpoint but I guess it'll have to wait.
Roll call:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Grindstone, Dayton, Saturna and Van Nuys are what's carrying us right now, while Okuno and Gadara are just kind of a long for the ride.
Saturna having learned TwinNeedle recently has been great for helping hack our way thru the underbrush of route 6 but otherwise Dayton as my earliest capture is really just muscling thru on STAB Return at this point, and I know that those two tactics aren't going to scale in the long run, so I really hope we manage to catch something a little sturdier soon...

If anyone wants to know, I'm actually in Driftveil again, and I found Cherry, yay!
The Suicune actually decided to stay with me, which is both generous and surprising of him. But I get it. I got messed up in that one fight last night. I'm pretty sure my brain just repressed the memory of that butt-kicking, that's how bad it was. I was probably in that one death position from Rayquaza Ball Z by the end of it, you know the one.
Anyways. Cherry had a lot she wanted to say to me, and I had a lot to say to her.
Firstly, she nearly had a heart attack when she saw the Suicune next to me, and I had to explain the deal.
"Okay, so they're... Well, we haven't decided on a name yet, but-"
"Haven't decided?! What are you even talking about?!"
"I'm getting to that. So, they're deal is that they have amnesia, and wanted to travel the world to find some answers to why that is."
"That's fine and dandy, but... why do they look... dead? They look like they were supposed to be put in a coffin years ago."
That was so... so... out of pocket. What the heck, Cherry?
The Suicune's preparing an Ice Beam, now wanting to put her in a coffin, and I knew I had to nip this in the bud before a fight broke out.
Before the Suicune could fire it off, I dove in between them and Cherry to tank the attack. And can I say like, thank freaking Mew that they didn't have Freeze Dry or something. The Ice Beam, even with type resistance mind you, still stung like a Beedrill using Twinneedle.
By the way, the whole ice-arm-whatever the dist I'm dealing with, that was never fixed. I asked for some advice, and I was told to just pop a Yache and it'd go away, but I couldn't find any. Why I'm mentioning this? The Ice Beam not only screwed me up even more, but now my right arm's frozen from my shoulder, rendering it totally useless until I find a Yache berry. That was my dominant paw, too...
"Dude!" I shouted, at the both of them. "What the heck was that for?!"
Cherry raised her claws defensively. "I was only calling it as I see it... Anyways, what's kept you waiting, cheesecake?"
"Me? I was looking for you!" I ultimately decide that this is just wasting everyone's time. "Arrgh, nevermind, I don't have time for that! Suicune dude, this is Cherry, and Cherry, this is Suicune dude. Now, can y'all please try not to murder each other?"
Reluctantly, they shook hands.
"Good. Now, I have a lot to tell you. So, first things first, I have a plan, something that I really want to get done..." I took a deep breath. I've wanted to tell her this since we first met all those months ago, and I was worried about how she would take it. "...I plan on leaving the Unova region. And I want to take you with me."
I flinched, expecting her to completely freak out. Something like, "WHAT?! I have a home here, I can't just leave this place!!!", but there was only silence. At least, for a short while.
"...Where are you going?" Cherry sounded genuinely curious.
"I'm not too sure yet. I want to travel the entire world, but I don't know where I want to start. I also wanted to sorta, I don't know... Start a team? I'm sorry if this sounds really really bad but I wanted to do this since I was an Oshawott, please don't hate me!"
"Hate you? What do you think I've been wanting to do this whole time?" Cherry was excited, which calmed my nerves a little. "I'd love to do that, especially with someone else! When are goin'?!"
"I... also don't know. I never thought about it very far."
The Suicune looked at me with what I can only imagine is disappointment, and the longer I looked at them, the more I realized that Cherry had a point. They looked...
Sickly.
Broken leg aside, they had a very muted fur color compared to the Suicunes I've seen in fairytales and myths. A few more white(...I think?) markings on their torso and legs than normal, and their hair was more of an indigo, and the tips of them still covered in ice. Even their eyes were pretty dim, being a little more than dark voids with orange dots.
With a lack of better words, they look like they forgot to die last month.
Not like it matters now. "I want to do a bit of preparations before we head off, though," I tell Cherry. "Like, food, drinks, basic items and all that. It might be a while, so there's some time before me and Suicune head off. The three of us have time to kill."
---
I'm writing this as Cherry is asleep(At least, I can only assume she is. She's not with me right now), so I'm just doing this before things are started for real. The Suicune even promised to train me, both to "de-rust" me, I guess, and to try and teach me some new moves, just in case we run into some folks that don't take to us very kindly.
So... See y'all later, I guess?

Sinnoh’s back and ready to kill. Fortunately, so am I.
I always use Caitlin. Literally always. I wanted to spice it up a bit, bring a unit I don’t give enough play. So here’s SS Lusamine exploding things in CS for the first time in a long time. I’ve missed her. Don’t worry, girl.  The meta may have shifted to SS Steven, but I know you’re still the best Psychic-type.
Fire feels so easy a common support gets the job done without dying. Turns out, this feeling is accurate. Marley’s not a bad partner for the team, giving the speed buffs to facilitate both offensive partners, and capping May’s crit rate by first sync. I did just explode them with Victini. Who missed center crit. And right side crit. Good job, pal. But it was still a really clean win.
At first, I saved SS Morty for Grass, before remembering oh right. SS Erika is old news. SC Rosa forever. Naturally she is insane, but SS Lyra really is just the most nuts unit thus far. The stagger into extra queue is amazing. It really is the defining feature of the unit. Dawn tanks, but I think she took maybe one hit the entire time, because Lyra is just ridiculous.
Okay full disclosure. I apparently forgot I had Bug Zone. So after trying and failing to get Lusamine to work against -2 Sp Atk on entry and Wise Entry x2, I decided to pivot to a physical bug striker. That’s right, it’s Bugsy time. I still forgot about Ingo, so I went with Masked Royal, who…actually super clutch. The spread damage and debuffs actually helped Bugsy perform a second denial off of Twinneedle of all things, and second sync hit for over 25k damage on center. Not enough to KO, but it was close, and Masked Royal finished the job with Darkest Lariat. I continue to be pretty impressed with Bugsy.
FinallyAcid Rain. SS Kris is tremendous, and I’ve wanted to see the power of her and Iris together. Adding in Lucian just made it bonkers. I misplayed and missed the denial, but turns out Iris can blast Togekiss to death in three moves, then hits like 22k on the sides per Hyper Beam under Zone. It’s amazing. Iris is so strong it’s nuts. And fun fact.  I didn’t realize that Cynthia had damage reduction if she wasn’t statused.  So Iris was just blitzing her without worrying about the gimmick.  That...is impressive.
A pretty simple week.  I was kinda surprised, I expected this to be harder, since Sinnoh and Hoenn felt really challenging the first time through, so I kinda went in guns blazing.  Turns out, I may have been able to tone it down a little.  But I won’t.

She’s mean, she’s green, she’s a badass chain stitching machine. Midge maybe small but she can multitask like no other. This #Makevember post introduces Juki’s first combination machine, built circa 1975. The EA605 uses industrial machine parts but housed in a domestic, table top machine. Able to have industrial sized needles, Midge has zero qualms about binding up those thicker materials. #babylock #serger #twinneedle #juki #sewing #makersgonnamake https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp15WTDhFSb/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1po8efuw3jb12

Krenko’s Guide to Pokemon: Weedle Line
Tumblr media
Last time on Krenko’s Guide to Pokemon I complained about Butterfree sucking. Now I’m going to explain why Weedle’s line is just plain better.
DESIGN:  Okay, first off, look at Weedle.  It’s clearly a caterpillar like Caterpie is, but it’s just STABBY BITS on the ends. That just makes it better and more interesting.  It’s still cute, but it’s cute and ready to shank a bitch. Then Kakuna’s scary despite being basically immobile. With angry eyes, sharp edges, and a necktie, this thing screams ‘don’t open me and see what’s inside’ while Metapod just wants to be kicked over the horizon. And then there’s Beedrill. Yes, it’s a wasp or hornet or whatever, but it’s got huge spikey arms, adding its own unique twist. The Caterpie line is just cartoon versions of the real animals. The Weedle line is here to fight.  And then there’s Mega Beedrill.
Tumblr media
This thing’s sole purpose of existence is to kill you. This creature does not have a family. It does not have a home. It is death on wings, and it kills all that it sees. This is a cool design in every respect.
EVOLUTIONS: Like Caterpie, the Weedle line evolves super fast to introduce the player to the concept of evolution with an easy to understand real-world counterpart. Larvae, cocoon, bee.  And then Beedrill has decent stats to carry it through the midgame. The difference is, unlike Caterpie, Weedle has its final form of Mega Beedrill, which is badass enough to see competitive play at a decent tier.  Beedrill deserved a Mega and got a Mega, and this pokemon is seriously feature complete as a result.
ECOLOGY:
Weedle are extremely common throughout Kanto and Johto, eating leaves and grass while serving as a major food source for many predatory Pokemon. With large stingers on their heads and tails and a bright color scheme, Weedle are designed to ward off predators. However, as their venom is weak and they are easy to ambush, few Weedle survive to evolve. Those that do manage to survive usually cocoon into Kakuna within two months.
Giving up its speed for a sturdy shell, Kakuna don’t require food or water. They typically hide among branches to avoid detection. While their shell protects them from incidental damage and discourages smaller predators, they are still vulnerable to larger birds such as Pidgeotto during this time.
After a few weeks, Kakuna evolves into Beedrill. Beedrill are fast, aggressive, and extremely territorial, willing and able to stab anything outside of their evolutionary line that comes close. The largest threat to any given Beedrill is its own hubris, refusing to back down from any threat. Beedrill serve as very efficient pollinators, but only within their defended territory. When a Beedrill hive is built, other pollinators such as Ledyba and Butterfree are chased out.
Beedrill hives produce large amounts of honey, but accessing this honey is both difficult and dangerous. Only an extremely skilled trainer with many Beedrill at their command can reliably extract this honey without infuriating the hive.
Beedrill, unlike Butterfree, are resistant to toxins in the air. As smog moves through the Kanto and Johto region, it empowers Beedrill while weakening Butterfree, making it easier for Beedrill to expand their territory. With rapid life cycles, this can result in significant territory changes in a short period.
Beedrill occasionally fly far from Johto, but no significant population has been sighted elsewhere. Weedle have been visible in Kalos’ Santalune forest, implying an undiscovered Beedrill hive somewhere nearby.
STATS, MOVES, AND ABILITIES:  Though Beedrill’s not quite as good as Butterfree in normal gameplay, it’s still a respectable pokemon.  Its signature attack Twinneedle with its respectable mid-game attack and speed makes it a valuable party member until it starts being time to get ‘real’ fully evolved pokemon. But then at the end of the game, and for the competitive scene, it can become Mega Beedrill.  With an attack of 150, a speed of 145 and defensive stats of “No,” Mega Beedrill is pure, unbridled glass cannon. Outsped by only a handful of pokemon and with an Attack stat only rivaled by Legendaries, other Megas, and Rampardos, it’s capable of one-shotting a wide variety of opponents before they can do anything to stop it... Though of course, it tends to die to a single hit as well.  Still, this gives it a unique niche.
Beedrill’s abilities, Swarm and Sniper, are both weak and frankly irrelevant. In actual battle, it’s Mega Beedrill or bust, and Mega Beedrill’s ability, Adaptability, makes its Bug and Poison movies do 2x damage instead of the usual same-type-attack-bonus of 1.5x damage, effectively a 25% damage increase on any attack of either of its types.
With a somewhat limited moveset, two of Beedrill’s attacks are obvious: Poison Jab is the only physical Poison move it can learn, and with 80 damage and 100% accuracy, it’s an entirely respectable attack.  Bug has more options, in theory, but U-Turn is such an obvious perfect move for Beedrill, as it does solid damage, then immediately switches the Beedrill out to ensure that it doesn’t take an attack to its abysmal defense even if the opponent survives.
The other two moves in a Mega Beedrill’s lineup are more open to personal style. Drill Run, Knock Off, Brick Break, and other physical attacks offer type coverage, but sometimes you just really want to throw down Toxic Spikes, waste an opponent’s turn with Protect, or take advantage of Mega Beedrill’s low HP with Endeavor.
The Weedle line does what it needs to in solo gameplay, and Mega Beedrill exists to make an early-game pokemon viable again for competitive play.  Its build options are very narrow, but when we’re looking at hundreds of evolutionary lines, that’s fine.  Weedle and its evolutions are great.

Hate A2 Red (1.4) On Pins and (Twin)needles
Well, I picked back up and cruised through the first part of the game through to SS Anne, picking up along the way the following team members, several of which were the same as last time: Sao Paulo (Bulbasaur), Hamburg (Rattata), Rome (Spearow), Denver (Weedle), and Cairo (Caterpie).  Of note, this time I didn’t have a Nidoran because I got a Weedle on Route 2, and I didn’t have a Pidgey at this point either.  Bulbasaur still made quick work of both Brock and Misty, picking up Nashville (Jigglypuff), Carthage (Ekans), and Brasov (Zubat) between Pewter and Cerulean.  I was a little disappointed to lack Geodude, but my dual bug-types were a very nice addition, as was an early Spearow - at least for now!
When I went to clear out Nugget Bridge, I left Rome in a little too long against Blue’s Pidgeotto, and for the second run in a row, Spearow became the first casualty.  I decided not to skip encounters this time, but an Abra on Route 25 decided to skip me - the second “death” of the run.  Philly (Pidgey) rejoined the crew on Route 24, and the full party from the last run except Geodude had been reaquired.
After Cerulean, four more encounters opened up: Avignon (Oddish) just north of the Daycare, Las Vegas (Mankey) just outside the underground tunnel, Jericho (Diglett) from Diglett’s Cave, and Boise (Drowzee) just East of Diglett’s Cave.
Along the way, a second team member fell, with Carthage the Ekans falling to a Hyper Fang crit from a trainer on route 6.
With that, it was time to take on the SS Anne, but I decided to grind the whole team to 22 first.
Tumblr media
And Hamburg the Raticate singlehandedly swept Blue on the SS Anne.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since I still had a bit of room before the Lt. Surge cap of 24 on most of my party, I grabbed a few items from the SS Anne while I still could.   Then, it was time to take on Surge himself - after absolute hell on the switch puzzle, taking 8 attempts to find the doggone second switch, I made it through, and Ivysaur and Diglett cleanly cleaned up the Thunderbadge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With most of the party still completely at full health, I headed for Rock Tunnel, flashless.  Around this time, Denver picked up Twinneedle, which turns out to be an absolutely broken move in Gen 1.  Absurdly, overtly broken.  Twinneedle ends up being the backbone of the entire next leg, in a generation where Bug is Super Effective against poison.
At this time, my encounter luck, however, went downhill - I was duped out of any legal encounters on Rt. 9, I KOed the Voltorb I found on Rt. 10, and just on the other side of Rock Tunnel, I KOed a Rt. 8 Growlithe as well - bringing my death counter to 5.
Rock Tunnel did provide me Doha (Machop) while navigating flashlessly and relatively seamlessly, despite a brief hairy moment when Vine Whip ran out of PP in the third to last trainer battle.  While I did not get a Growlithe on Rt 8, I did avenge this failure on Rt. 7, adding Kochinda to the team. Rotterdam (Eevee) joined the team for free in Celadon City, and St. Paul (Doduo) joined the team on Rt. 16 while acquiring Fly.
With that, it was time to clear out some Rockets and a Grass Gym that I dominated in type matchup, as well as pick up a Fire Stone for Kochinda and a Water Stone for Rotterdam.
Both Giovanni and Erika left my teams fairly healthy, and I’m now 4 badges into my second attempt!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seriously, though, Twinneedle is busted.

does neureon learn twinneedle? I could see it spking up it's tails and going for the stabbity
Absolutely! It’s a very fitting move for the rare times when it’s on the offensive or it has to chase off some pesky trespasser.

When Ev returned to the Game Corner, Kris was wearing a fake beard and shouting angrily about Voltorb. “Where’d you get the fake beard?” Ev asked.
“Under the table.” Kris answered.
Ev looked under the table and, sure enough, there was a large collection of fake beards. “I brought you food.” Ev remembered, getting the sandwich out of her bag.
Kris took it and began eating as she shouted at another flipped Voltorb. “I’ll go fight the gym I guess.” Ev decided since her sister wasn’t at her goal yet.
Mr. Game looked like he wanted to go home. Kris looked like she wanted to punch him in the mouth.
Ev headed down to the gym but the leader wasn’t there, so she went to find them at the Radio Tower. “Hi Whitney! You’re the gym leader?” Ev asked.
“Oh, Ev! I haven’t seen you since you moved to Unova! I heard about the Quiz to win a Radio Card, so I came here to get one... But the Quiz is so hard!” Whitney said.
Ev and Kris had met Whitney in school since she was only a little younger than them. Since there couldn’t be a battle with no leader, Ev decided to take the quiz. After only messing up on the last question, she got all the right answers. She then handed the card over to Whitney. “Wow, you did it! I thought the answer to the third question was surely apricots!” The pink haired girl amazed.
“Actually it’s apricorns. I know since I’ve been collecting them. It’s the fifth one I got wrong since I don’t really listen to the radio.” Ev admitted.
She noticed she was still holding the radio card. “Aren’t you going to take this?” She asked.
“But you won it. Aren’t you going to put it in your PokéGear?” Whitney asked.
“Actually my Xtranciever does that already, so I figured giving this to you would get you back to the gym sooner.” Ev said.
“Thanks! Guess I owe you a battle then!” Whitney smiled.
“You’re on!” Ev grinned.
They headed for the gym. “You know, I’ve heard plenty of trainers talk about how tough your Miltank is.” Ev mentioned.
“Huh. I guess I’m doing my job right then.” Whitney guessed.
They got to the gym and took to the field. “By the way, how’d you become a gym leader?” Ev asked, ready to start.
“Everyone got into Pokémon, so I got into it, too! Pokémon are super cute! Plus I’m warning you - - I’m good!” Whitney grinned excitedly.
She sent out a Clefairy and Ev sent out Faven. Faven used Thunder Wave and the Clefairy used Mimic. A thundershock was then returned with Thunder Wave. Faven’s tackle missed as Clefairy waggled her finger, and used Rock Wrecker. Faven was paralyzed as Clefairy had to recharge. Ev decided to switch for Missie, who got hit by a metronome picked thunderbolt. Missie used Confuse Ray and Whiteny’s Pokémon hurt itself. Then it was a powerful Psywave to the paralyzed Pokémon. Whitney used a Super Potion so the next Psywave didn’t KO. Another and a Thunderwave, another and metronome caused an adorable howl, paralyzed and a metronome caused twinneedle, then the final Psywave. Next up was Miltank and Ev was ready, sending out Boudica. Before giving the move commands, Ev was hit in the head by a Dratini. Turning around, Kristina came in.
“Finally got what I wanted, and in less than a day!” Kris cheered.
“That’s great sis, but can you let me finish here?” Ev asked.
“No. C’mon Pulp!” Kris shrugged, taking her Dratini to the bleachers.
One mighty Brick Break met a tough Stomp. The second one rendered Miltank fainted. Whitney seemed on the verge of tears. “You meanie!” She cried.
“You always did cry when you lost.” Ev sighed.
They waited for Whitney to have her cry and Ev gave her a comforting back patting. The leader finally regained herself and dried her eyes. “Oh yeah, you want a badge. I forgot. Here’s the Plain Badge.” Whitney said, her Pokémon sent for healing.
“Oh, you can have this too! It’s attract! It makes full use of a Pokémon’s charm. Isn’t it just perfect cutie like me?” She smiled.
“Sure, c’mere you cutie!” Ev laughed giving her old friend a hug and playful noogie.
“Speaking of the move attract, Ev has a certain Froslass who doesn’t seem to need it.” Kris laughed.
“And you have a certain Alakazam who always seems affected by it.” Ev added.
Whitney seemed lost and that was probably for the best. “Oh, you must want a battle too! Right Kris?” Whitney asked.
“Yeeeeeeeeees.” Kris groaned, recalling her previous challenges.
“Heh. Guess I’ll be late checking out the new Pokeathlon Dome now open right next to the National Park.” Whitney said.
“Well we could all go check it out after Kris has her battles.” Ev suggested.
“Battles? As in more than one?” Whitney checked.
“Let’s leave it at I’m a bit mad at flying types and have a SUPER grudge on bug types. Except Beef Nuggets.” Kris sighed.
“Is that a Pokémon?” Whitney asked.
“Kinda? It’s called an Ultra Beast which is like a Pokémon from another world. The species is called Buzzswole.” Kris answered.
“Oh, so it’s like the fairy type. I think Clefairy classifies as one now, right? Maybe I should change the gym type to fairy once it’s more established here in Johto!” Whitney guessed.
After telling some more information it was time for Kris to battle. After one loss, Kristina won. Whitney did her best not to cry that time. “Wow. The one people always say is one of the toughest leaders you beat on your second try, the least amount so far!” Ev laughed.
“Holy sh*t, that didn’t take nearly as long as I thought it would.” Kris cried in relief.
“Guess your biggest Goldenrod challenge was Voltorb Flip!” Whitney guessed.
“I hate that game so much.” Both sisters said.
After healing up at the Center, they met up with Whitney at the gate to route 35. “You remembered your Pokémon, right?” Ev asked.
Whitney did a quick check. “Yup! Both are right here!” She smiled.

I beat Pokemon Leafgreen using a single Beedrill
Tumblr media
Beedrill is my favorite Gen I Pokemon, so I decided to play through LG using only a single Beedrill. I caught him in Viridian Forest, named him Seinfeld, boxed my Bulbasaur, and set off on my journey. Getting Weedle up to level ten was a chore, he died almost immediately to every wild Pokemon. After evolving into Kakuna, the extra defense allowed me to grind easily and get up to level ten. Beedrill is actually pretty strong for a Pokemon available before the first gym, so getting to Brock wasn't too hard. Unfortunately, Brock was more than strong enough to beat Seinfeld. After grinding up to level eighteen and spending all my money on potions, I went back to Brock. I used harden six times, healed up, and poisoned his Geodude and Onix with Poison Sting. I stalled them out and got my first badge. The next couple gyms went down without much effort. The extra EXP from being the only team member made Seinfeld an unstopable murder machine, koing Pokemon in a single quick hit. By the time I fought Misty, my moveset was Brick Break (75 base power, beats rock and steal types. Beedrill's best move at that point), Twinneedle (75 effective base power, poisons), Secret Power (70 base power, used on poison types), and Thief (weak, but good for ghosts). I replaced Secret Power with Return after making it to Lavender Town (100+ base power, the best move I could get) and kept this moveset for most of the game. I considered getting Hyper Beam, but Return more damage over time. Also, before you ask, the Sludge Bomb TM isn't available until after the Elite Four.My first loss since Brock came at the hands of the Rival in Silph Co. His team, especially his Pigdgeot and Charizard, were too bulky to go down in a single hit and hit hard enough to whittle Seinfeld down. To make matters worse, his Pigeot kept using Feather Dance, keeping me from oneshotting his team.I decided to head to Fushia and beat Koga for some EXP. I lost once to a biker on the biking road and once to a trainer in Koga's gym, but managed to beat Koga; his pokemon were annoyingly bulky, but Beedrill's poison resistance helped him pull through. I returned to Silph Co and beat the rival after a few tries and getting good luck on his move choices. The next hurdle was Blaine, whose Intimidate Pokemon slashed my attack and whose fire moves cut through my health. Again, I ended up winning through just getting lucky on Blaine's move choice, deciding to use Bite instead of Fire Blast saved me.Giovanni was a cakewalk, but the rival battle outside the Elite Four was just as tough as the fight in Silph Co. I barely beat him, then took on the elite four. Unlike previous trainers, the Elite Four's Pokemon were tough enough to survive a hit from Seinfeld. Through healing items, I managed to get through Agatha, but only barely.Lance was a nightmare. He starts with a Gyarados, cutting Beedrill's attack, and follows it up with bulky counters like Charizard, Aerodactyl, and Dragonite, all of whom hit with super effective moves. Even after using all my Rare Candies and reaching level 92, I couldn't beat Lance. To win, I had to swallow my pride and use the ultimate cheap strategy: Double Team spam. I replaced Thief with Double Team and Twineedle with Toxic. I got +6 evasion on Gyrados, using healing items as needed, and slowly worked through Lance's team. The same strategy worked just as well, earning me my spot in the hall of fame.
