TWINWOOD FESTIVAL 2024.

We went to Twinwood festival over the weekend and had a splendid time as usual barring the rather inclement weather on the Saturday the Gods were almost shining on us. As for a brief hotel report, we stayed at the Bedford Swan which had a rather interesting looking building, however the car park was smaller than it looked on Google maps and the wedding reception in the restaurant meant the car…

Pepper spray gun (I'm surprised this exists when I was supposed to look up for pepper sprays, haha) - kinda acts like Jinx from Arcane. She used to be close with Azure Gig.. but now they're enemies since they both have different ideals of being a literal weapon

A wolf toy figurine - acts like Legoshi from Beastars. Just trying their best to not go berserk.. and wants their big bro (Raif Twinwood) to come back to them..

Byrna(a brand of pepper spray guns) and Ferezkó(derived from the real name of the person that Legoshi's name was derived from[Legoshi's name was based on that person's stage name])

Glen Miller Museum, Twinwood Aviation Museum, Summer of ‘44 Museum, The Axis Museum, World War I display

I can’t offer much of an explanation for the festival because I actually fell asleep and dribbled down that lovely shirt I was wearing. However if you fancy some dainty little museums with just right amount of information and history, look no further! -TommyC.

The Twinwood festival is an homage to music from the 1920s-1960s, it’s a family-friendly festival with a laid back vibe. This is the place to be if you’re a dancer, the dance floors provided were packed throughout every act with people jiving away to rock and roll. The site is on the Twinwood airfield where Glen Miller took his infamous last flight from, the mystery of what happened to him remains unsolved. The Glen Miller museum pays its respects to Glen Miller by telling the story of his career, whilst the other museums on the site give an insight into it’s past life -RoxyB.

Cost: Check the Twinwood festival website. Festival ticket costs will vary and I’m unsure about entry to the museums at other times of the year. 

Side note: These museums sit on the Twinwood airfield on a dry day it’s super dusty and you’ll need a good scrub after if you’ve got any bare skin. Apparently on a wet day it’s pretty muddy here. Be prepared to get mucky.
