ok so i have this super specific favorite ship dynamic that goes like this:

A: disembodied god-like being B: some guy they made immortal

and so far there's only been 3 examples, and one of them doesn't really count canonically. those three examples are:

dormin and wander from shadow of the colossus. this is the one that doesn't count canonically, since I'm referring to this fanfic specifically. this is the OG, the one that made me realize "oh shit, i am into this"

AM and ted from i have no mouth and i must scream. from the moment i read the story, i was so attached to it for some reason, and their dynamic is probably the reason why. also this is the only one where it fits the above criteria perfectly. AM is a disembodied supercomputer with god-like capabilities and ted is literally just Some Guy that AM made immortal.

the narrator and stanley from the stanley parable. i guess the narrator isn't necessarily the one who made stanley immortal, if stanley is even immortal at all. this is a weird game, at least to me. i like them because they're like a less fucked up version of AM and ted.

decided to rewatch vincenzo but in japanese dub for the funsies... turns out it was the best decision ever. so here's my thoughts the japanese version of the jang bros!

hanseok's voice actor uses this cutesy voice for his junwoo persona, which I like A LOT. then he switches to this deep, husky anime villain-esque kinda voice for his real self. which is super cool since taecyeon didn't really differentiate his voices that much. I totally didn't mean to shit on taecyeon he's a great actor I love him but since this is a dub, the voice actor probably has more effort to pour into making hanseok's personality shine from his voice alone.

hanseo's voice actor sounds sooo similar to kensho ono that I actually thought it was him initially, but apparently it wasn't him. hanseo's voice actor has that quality that sounds good when he's yelling, and I think that fits hanseo a lot. some things I've noticed is that hanseo calls hanseok "bosu" (boss) and sometimes slips to "nii-san" (brother) when they're alone. also he uses the personal pronoun "watashi" when talking to hanseok, but uses "ore" for everyone else, which is probably just him being polite, but I find it kinda cute lol.

saw this tag on my shitposts about disembodied AIs so I started watching tau and keeping a romance standpoint in mind... and holy shit??? this is supposed to be a sci-fi thriller movie why am I so emotional about this??? why am I crying for this lady and a complex cleaning service AI. still talking about vincenzo japanese dub, i reaaally wanna talk about hanseo's japanese voice actor, cuz his voice is sooo similar to kensho ono??? i mean if you're really familiar with kensho ono's voice you can definitely tell that it's not him. but his voice just sounds so much like kensho ono that i had to check the credits to see that it's not him. anyway, according to the credits his name is suzuki yuuto! his voice managed to sound like both kensho ono, my favorite voice actor, and kwak dongyeon if he was japanese, which is super impressive.

regarding the vincenzo japanese dub, hanseok's japanese voice actor isn't really good at speaking english so the scene where taecyeon said vincenzo's full name with perfect pronunciation was unintentionally funny since the voice actor just said "binsenjo" like everyone else
