3. what was their initial impression of the four claimants? how did this change over the course of the story? [also tagging @yloiseconeillants for asking this one too!]

wuk lamat - d’alia saw her as very bubbly, energetic, and idealistic and liked her as a person, but she wasn’t sure how serious she was politically until they got to tural and she saw how connected she was to the people and how that deepened with each place they visited.

koana - she wasn’t impressed by the fact that he wanted to bring so much change to tural without regarding the people who had their own ways of living, or how closed off and aloof he seemed at first, but her impression did change when she got to see how much he did care for his people and his sister and how he started to change his perspective on what mattered to the turali people beyond innovative ease.

zoraal ja - immediately did NOT like his stance on conquest or strength of force. she’s seen enough of garlean rule to know where that goes. and unfortunately, she was right about him. she hoped for better having gotten to know his siblings and his father, though.

bakool ja ja - she despised his aggressive, cruel, and vindictive behavior, and how much value he put on blessed siblings’ rule, though she didn’t know why he did until that was revealed. every comment about lamaty’i and how he stole from her and captured her and risked destroying so much to get ahead of the other claimants said enough to her. while she understands now and knows it’s between the dawnservants and him for forgiveness, she’s still wary of him.

8. why did they want to explore xak tural? were they happy to have erenville along as a guide or would they have preferred to explore on their own?

how could she not get offered the permit and not want to go explore!! she lives for traveling and seeing new places!! but also the chance to maybe meet the hhetsarro 🥺

and she loved traveling with erenville, both getting to know him better and having someone who knows the area to show her around, which is always the best way to visit a place tbh. 100% would take up his offer to visit more places with him as guide, too.

22. what are they doing now?

d’alia is planning to stay in tural for a little while until she comes up with a more solid plan, not ready to leave when she’s only been able to explore some of it before things started happening, and she’d like to enjoy more time there and maybe help to rebuild from the attack, if she can. she definitely spends a lot of time at mehwahhetsoan as well. in fact, she even visits with koana, and— [two bodyguards drag me away]

ty gyu for rightfully reacting to heeseung’s atrocious behavior! no cause it really made me happy that you guys cared cause tbh i wasn’t sure if we were sort of overeating, but this was comforting to hear bc other people realize what a sick dick hee is! not sure if that should be comforting but heehoon are literally like my villain origin story rn and i can’t believe i didn’t even hate kiara this much… anyways i know we don’t know you that well gyu but ilysm and if taegyu is in our future, you have my full support!!!
