音楽やってるうちに色々な事ができるようになったので、まとめてみました。

<Drums>

ドラム叩きます。

昔、とあるメジャーレーベルでドラム叩いてました。

<作曲・アレンジ>

たまに作曲したりアレンジしたりします。 

<レコーディング>

2007年からProTools使っていた人です。　システムのトラブルが起こるとなぜかレコーディングスタジオから電話がかかってくる程度の知識量です。

<マニピュレーター>

DTM/DAWに詳しかったので気づけばマニピュレーターになってました。

Digital Performerを使って2台を同期させるバックアップシステムと、映像同期するような複雑な現場が得意です。

<映像配信>

ニコ生、USTREAMの時代から映像配信やってました。　最近はYouTube Liveの配信やってたりします。

<Music Video>

音楽とカメラが身近にあったので、Music Videoもたまに制作します。

エフェクトの多い映像よりは、照明の造り込みや、編集のテンポ感で魅せる映像が多いです。

<ドローン>

ドローン飛ばせます。 DJI Specialistの資格があるので、ちゃんと飛行許可取って撮影できます。

MV撮るためにひたすら練習したので、ノーズインサークルという真ん中を撮影しながらグルグル回る飛行方法だけ異常に上手に飛ばせます。

<カメラマン>

写真も映像も。

音楽やってるので、レコーディングやライブの撮影が得意だと褒められます。

<Sound Producer / Director>

色々な制作ができるので、アーティストの初期プロデュースに参加して作品やLiveを作り上げるのが得意なようです。

プロデューサーというよりはディレクター気質なので、「こういうの創りたいよね」というイメージを具体的に形にしていく人です。

今はそういう時代じゃないかもしれませんが、アーティストをメジャーデビューまで押し上げるのが役割みたいな時期がありました。

Another Chapter

I created a piano composition whilst attending this university, which I decided would be preformed on a relatively decent piano, which was the Yamaha upright. I used varies Mic techniques with the additional help of Ben Springall as studio engineer.

We used a total of five microphones to capture the piano. Two Neumann KM184′s (Small-Diaphragm Condensers) positioned at the extreme high and low end of the piano, above the lid (roughly 2ft from the strings). Then we also miked the snowboard of the piano using two Neumann U87Ai large diaphragm condensers. Just to add some more impact and resonance to the sound. The final mic was a singular AKG C414 (set to omni-directional Polar Pattern) and positioned behind a sound absorbent board.

We selected thee microphones because of their construction and frequency response. We used all condensers as our previous experiment using exclusively dynamic mics didn’t fit the aesthetic I was going for. Using condensers fixed this as they have a very wide and detailed sound signature. We also followed the sound on sound guide to recording upright piano.
