Pictured below is the Leuven based and short-lived cold wave band The Cultural Decay. They existed only for two years, released a 7" and a 12", played 15 shows, and then they disappeared forever. Well, until Sacred Bones Records released "Eight Ways To Start A Day" compilation, with the 4 songs they ever released and some demos. Not that they started playing again, but at least they got some much deserved attention. It was only recently that I learned that the bass player for the band, Jean Vanderborght, was also "de Jean" from JJ Records in Leuven, record shop where I bought many many cd's during my student time in Leuven. Jean passed away a few weeks ago, so I'm playing a track from the Sacred Bones comp for him.

I bought quiet some records the past few weeks so this episode has quite some new stuff, from i.a. Added Dimensions, Onyon, Sweeping Promises, Melenas, Six Organs Of Admittance and Organ Of Corti, some classics from The Dirtbombs, Noh Mercy, Stupid Babies, Hydroplane, Cosmic Psychos and Plastichke and I've also got two awesome B-sides from classic singles.
