The imported soda was fire which is kind of like a plum or apricot flavoring. The uni was from the Hokkaido Japan. The eel is freshly delivered weekly and can be seen swimming around in-store. The eel are served Kabayaki style over short grain rice; which is deboned and gutted, cut into filets, skewered, then dipped into a sweet soy-based sauce, and then grilled over Japanese charcoal all in front of you. It’s like they packaged a part of Japan and shipped it over. The Unaju(Kabayaki unagi over rice in a traditional lacquered box is served with a side of miso soup and pickles. Opening up earlier this year, this place is tucked next to Xian foods and Ramenlab on Kenmare street.
