SO! I decided to draw this in my style (its from animation Underverse that Jakei did)

assortment of underverse sanses and what music i think theyd listen to:

classic sans: he doesnt strike me as a music guy, personally

swap sans: probably 4lung!! any sort of hyperpop too. speedcore occasionally

fell sans: the cure or siouxsie and the banshees. it came to me in a dream i prommy

error sans: animal crossing ost all hours of the day. probably cannot stand loud music at all. he dabbles in nero’s day at disneyland though

ink sans: ANYTHING. probably symphonic or prog rock stuff though (i am biased) NEW WAVE TOO, like oingo boingo and all. also breakcore, but like renard breakcore

dream sans: a LOT of Heart. the one band i can imagine him listening to

cross sans: elliott smith or the dresden dolls. a teensy bit of classic rock? A TON of radiohead

nightmare sans: he stinks and he hates music. anyways breakcore and whatever the hell venetian snares has going on

fresh sans: 80s music obviously. a bit of new wave too. phil collins too!!

I am still on that Underverse analysis high SOOOOOO

This time, it’s the soundtrack. It’s more so just going over the soundtrack and connecting the (pretty obvious) dots between song titles and animation, not much of actual “analyzing” because there’s not much to analyze. But ho BOY the names for each OST reflects what is happening in the animation WELL. Nyx did a phenomenal job with these and I can’t give him enough credit for this.

Uncertainty starts us off with the crew at the city and, indeed, uncertain of the situation and how they should approach. Undyne decides to follow along the human military, but everything is unknown. They don’t know what they are facing.

Wicked Extravaganza and Overdrive are reflective of xMuffet’s and xMettaton’s themes (Insurrect and Guardian Automata). They use similar sounding instruments, so you KNOW who the main character on screen is. Love that.

A Cure for Amnesia plays during xGaster confrontation with Frisk, and Overwriting all the monsters to recover memories from different timelines. Amnesia is where you constantly lose memory, so xGaster recovering all of those memories by force. Ironic how cure is being used here as a positive word in a conflicting situation.

Breaking Point features Frisk running from their consequences and afraid to face them, while xChara’s calls xGaster out, telling him that he’s gone too far with pressuring Frisk to abide to him. Also, you can hear xChara’s leitmotif during his scenes (Overwrite).

Remembrance is a flashback to when Ink first started talking with xGaster, explaining how his vials work (which does set up the how Fresh possess him during that fight). Ink comments in his destroyed doodlesphere that “We’ve come so far that none of this seems real, or feels real.” Everything seems so long ago yet it feels like it happened just yesterday, doesn’t it. Remember how the plan began from simple beginnings? And look where we are now.

I’m not really going to comment on Mismatch and Sweet Sweet Swagger mainly because those are character themes and not episode related. So uhhh there aren’t really dots to connect here to the animation.

Subliminal Gift is an interesting song. Yes the title reflect what is happening, Fresh asking Ink about the gift that isn’t at all useful to him, but the sound design makes me MMMMM. It’s very subtle, but the background music uses similar instruments to (the beginning of) Brushwork and the main theme uses a synth, which does reference early 90s synth computer sound, and also his character theme (Sweet Sweet Swagger).

Now, Prologue is the one that has me stumped. I am genuinely confused by this name and what it could imply, and also the main reason for writing this mini analysis. Why is Prologue the title of the end of 0.7? There are probably a few ways to interpret this, and what I’m going to write is my own thoughts and rambles, but I don't know how accurate it could be.

My best cohesive thought process was that this episode, but more specifically the entire confrontation between Ink Fresh and Error, also serves as a prologue to Phase 3, as mentioned by Ink himself during 0.5, although it also seems a bit on a nose. But that could also just be it. A prologue to Phase 3. It seems the most probable to me and makes the most sense. Core even speaks in a way that made it seems like this is next new mark in this story (and Ink outfit change as well :D)

I would love to see other interpretations and thoughts about Prologue, or if I nailed it on the dot. I wonder tho haha.

Ivy Gaze (Ulquiorra Fanficition, Chapter #14)

                      Chapter Fourteen; Insanity.

Right before them, was Lucifer himself.

Instantly, Ulquiorra jumped back, along with Hemujuu. “L-Lucifer?!” Hemujuu shrieked in horror. Ulquiorra’s eyes narrowed when he heard Hemujuu say his name. Instantly he composed himself, and reached for his zanpakutō, but then realized quickly that it wasn’t there. ‘Fuck.’ he thought.

“I would like to speak to you, Hemujuu.” Lucifer stated, the sound of his voice echoed through Ulquiorras head. Then Ulquiorra froze, he couldn’t move, he couldn't speak, and he couldn’t breathe. The devil walked over and put a single finger on his forehead, sending him instantly limp, causing Hemujuu to scream. “ULQUIORRA!” She screamed, running over to his body. “No.. No.. No no NO!” she started with a whisper, slowly developing into a tear filled scream. “What did you do to him?!” she snapped at The Devil, he just looked down at Hemujuu, causing her to freeze under his gaze. “Come, my child.” He stated, unphased by her screams.

She obeyed him, walking to him, but couldn’t keep her eyes off of Ulquiorra. Who laid there limp… She felt tears begin to fall down her cheeks… ‘I couldn’t have… just lost him just like that… right..?’ she reassured herself, before turning her attention to The Devil. “You brought this young pale figure to the realm of Akaya, Yes?” He said, staring into her eyes. She slowly nodded her head, confirming it. Lucifer looked down at Hemujuu, seeing the tears rolling down her cheeks.

“My, My Hemujuu. Did you get attached to that pale figure? Is he the one you would never shut your little mouth about?” He said, looking down at Hemujuu, causing her to flinch. She looked away, not wanting to look at him. “Now… I’m sorry to say this sweetheart. But he’s dead.”

Hemujuu froze in her tracks… Those words echoed through her mind.

While watching things going on in the Bleach Universe through televised images, she caught extra interest in one particular individual, his name was Ulquiorra Cifer. She watched him develop over the time Ichigo Kurosaki and his companions showed up, and due to that fact, she grew a soft spot for this individual. When she watched in horror as he was beaten by the Hollowfied Ichigo, she began to sob after he faded away in the dust, but screaming and yelling wouldn’t bring him back.

“Why did you do that, woman?” He said in his cold, monotone voice, piercing her with his gaze. “I-I didn’t w-want you to get s-sent to H-hell!” She said, stuttering and tripping over her own words.

“That is none of my concern, nor fault. These were your foolish actions that led us to where we are now. You must face the consequences of your actions.” He said in his usual cold tone

“Very well. Refer to me as Ulquiorra. Not Cifer.” He said, making eye contact with her with that blank expression. ‘His eyes! They’re almost glowing in this dark setting! It’s almost beautiful…’

Ulquiorra gave her a look and raised an eyebrow. She laughed nervously and turned her attention back to Sana as he spoke.

“Ulquioraaaaaaa” Hemujuu said, dragging out the last part of his name. Ulquiorra looked down at her, with his cold stare. “Like I stated before, my name is pronounced Ulquiorra.” he said, in his cold monotone voice. Hemujuu looked at him with a confused but amused look, then snickered

“Ulquiorra Cifer, Cuatro Espada of Lord Aizen’s arrancar force.”

He backed away from the old lady, walking over to where Hemujuu was pinned down by two guards. “Get off of her.” He said, in his cold tone, making the two guards flinch.

Before Hemujuu could pounce her, Hemujuu too felt a sharp pain in her neck, “Ul.. qui.. orra…” was all she managed to get out. Before she passed out on Ulquiorra.

“That was my Segunda Etapa.” He said, not elaborating a tiny bit.

It suddenly hit her like a bus, was she going to die?! She suddenly felt the urge to latch onto something, she grabbed a hold of Ulquiorras arm, causing him to, for once, flinch.

Hemujuu at this point was already back at Ulquiorra’s side, she looked at Ulquiorra in a pleading expression.

One cannot feel Despair and Hopelessness if they did not have hope to begin with.

“Ulquiorra?” she whispered to herself. But sadly, not quiet enough. “Who is this… Oqeora you speak of?” one of the leaders said

“Compose yourself, Hebi. Do not let your guard down.” Ulquiorra stated.

“Do you know what they are going to do with us?” Ulquiorra asked, looking at Hemujuu. She turned and looked at him and shrugged “Honestly no fucking clue, it’s not like they can kill us heh.” She chuckled a bit at her joke, but it was more of a sad laugh.

“I did not have a choice. I was alone throughout my time as a Vasto Lorde, and only followed orders during my time under Lord Aizen.”

“Ul.. Ulquiorra? What.. What are you doing?” She said, very quietly. She was so tired she barely could put that sentence together. Ulquiorra just stood up after she laid down, and walked back over to the bars, completely ignoring her.

“Stop crying. It makes me feel things that I do not like.” Hemujuu just stared at him, confused but still crying.

“Holy fuckin shit I forgot you had that! God you about gave me a heart attack” She said, shuffling a bit on the dark crimson grass as she tried to catch her breath. “D- Does it hurt?”

– End of Flashback –

It all hit her, it all hit her hard. Everything she’d been through with him came through her head. She felt the tears coming down real hard, as she froze in her tracks. Her eyes narrowed, as everything blurred out.

He was gone.

She fell to her knees, as Lucifer looked back. “I will take that as you did grow attached to him. I will let you say your goodbyes in the meantime.” The Devil said, until teleporting away. Everything was numb. She… She didn’t feel anything. He was the one person she could count on, the one person who understood her. The one person who she loved. And with that. He was gone.

She stood back up, slowly walking over to his body, before collapsing in front of it. She began to sob. “I am… so sorry Ulquiorra.” she whispered, putting her head in her hands as she continued to cry. “I could’ve done something to save you, warned you, at least tried… but I didn’t. I let you die. Because I was scared.” 

“Are you done saying your most tearful goodbyes?” a voice said behind her, she turned around to see Akmuna. “My, Hemujuu I haven’t seen you cry like this since the first time he died! You’re a real mess aren’t cha’.” She said, laughing. Hemujuu didn’t even say anything, just stared at her with this broken expression. Akmuna was surprised, but continued with her verbal assault. “Gosh, I thought he’d put up more of a fight! Just one bop to the head and he’s gone!” She said, continuing with her laugh.

Akmuna looked down at Hemujuu, who was now looking down, with her hair covering her eyes. Akmuna opened her mouth to speak, but suddenly the pressure in the area got dark. The trees began to die, the grass around Hemujuu died.

“I know! Isn’t it so funny that the one fucking person in this terrible existence that actually made me happy died?! Honestly, what a laugh.” She said, letting out a creepy, tear filled, sad laugh. Akmuna merely jumped out of her skin at hearing her voice and seeing what happened to the life around her.

Suddenly, Hemujuu snapped her head up, her eyes filled with blood. ‘She’s… she’s crying blood…’ was the only thing Akmuna could think, before Hemujuu continued to speak, but in mumbles as she gripped her forehead, digging into her own head, drawing blood. “He’s really gone, just like that… he’s gone… he’s gone…” she kept whispering to herself. Before taking her hands away, to reveal wounds on her head, pouring out blood.

Akmuna just stared, horrified at what she was seeing. Hemujuu just continued to mumble to herself, putting herself into a self hug position, slowly cutting her upper arms down to her elbow in deep wounds, drawing blood down her, leaking onto Ulquiorra’s body.

Hemujuu stood up, causing Akmuna to jolt back. Hemujuu continued to cut herself with her own hands. Akmuna’s eyes narrowed watching as her arms were completely torn up. Scratches all over them. Akmuna took a step closer, she was about to say something. She was cut off.

“DON’T.” Hemujuu screamed.

Akmuna just backed away again. “What… what are you… doing…” Akmuna practically whispered at Hemujuu. She’d… never seen a devil like this before, the atmosphere got dark, all the life around began to blow away into dust, leaving dead trees and barren dirt. Hemujuu just continued to sadly, creepily laugh to herself. “Why couldn’t have I just died with Ulquiorra? Why was it him, and not me?” She kept saying those questions over and over.

“My, my little Hemujuu, you’ve really been tipped over the edge.” The Devil stated. Causing Akmuna to jump, and saw Lucifer approaching. Hemujuu just continued to cry blood on Ulquiorra’s body, continuing to slit her own body. “You really did love this figure, I did not expect it to drive you to complete insanity!” He said, slowly approaching her.

“When a devil is driven to insanity, it completely kills all mortal life. Often the devil kills the world that they are in, luckily for my clean up team, this is just a cell realm, so it will be left to go to waste like all the others. Tell me Hemujuu, did you really think Hueco Mundo just appeared out of nowhere? Of course not! It was formed after a young devil lost his mind at the loss of his best friend.” He explained, standing across from Ulquiorra’s body.

“Ulquiorra is just an embodiment of the poor devil’s emotions. The devil eventually tore himself apart, and it seems Ulquiorra is just his nihilistic, emotionless, broken side! Very interesting.” He said, before turning around, looking at Akmuna.

“Leave her to die. Lock this realm down before it spreads to the Main Halls.” He ordered.

Akmuna immediately obeyed her orders, beginning a spell. “Now, I would not like to see one of my prize devils go to waste because of insanity. Say, how does a Deal with the devil sound?”
